didnt like the hard mattress. they put a $250 hold on a major credit card, not sure why. The wireless fee is too high, $7 per day per device. This is a diamond resort. Beware they will offer a pitch to you. we took the sales pitch just to get $50 cash for lunch one day and a free 3 day 2 night stay at a different location.... We really enjoyed our week's stay here. We wanted our privacy so it was perfect. The room had everything we needed with the fully set up kitchen to the mini living room. Except for the dead roach the room was great. All the best in appliances and cookware. Comfortable bed. Away from but convenient to town full of shopping, restaurants, and things to do. Scenery is spectacular.

We have visited Sedona before and we fell in love with the hiking. This is our first time at the Summit. We really enjoy having a kitchen available to us. We also enjoyed the out door balcony. We went to the adult pool most every day and this was nice! We would return but we would choose a one bedroom vs a studio. Very nice property!

Good location, clean resort, close to many hiking trails, great views. My only gripe is they put $250.00 on my credit card during my stay for incidentals. It can take 2 - 6 weeks to credit back on credit card.

The condos at this resort are very nice. I stayed in a studio and it was spacious, clean and had good kitchenette. The only thing I didn't like was that the room was a bit dark with low ceilings, not good for a guy above 6 feet. The location was OK. It is outside from Sedona a bit, but everything is so close it is not far from shops or dining. My […] one problem was that the wifi reception, which had a daily charge through AT&T, was horrible. I was constantly struggling with a weak or non existent signal. The front desk sent out a tech to try to improve the signal, but it didn't help. The tech said himself that the wifi in the resort was bad. I asked to be moved to another room, but the resort was fully booked and they could not help me. The bad wifi alone would cause me not to return to this place or recommend it if wifi was a priority. However, if you don't care about wifi, this is a perfectly nice place to stay. Mehr

Beautifully maintained grounds with very pretty trees. The room was very comfortable especially the jacuzzi tub & the shower deserves some recognition as well. Beware of the resort staff constantly trying to get you to do the timeshare thing (it was a big turnoff to me). The Activities dept was stellar (my son & I had a blast on the ping pong table […] & crafting class). Overall, I absolutely recommend this place to friends & most likely will visit again! Mehr

First impression is everything that's why i rated a 2 star resort. The front door kept getting stuck on us and the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. While the resort is nice, what I did not expect was the pushy time share pitch upon check in. I booked through hotels.com not realizing that Sedona Summit Resort was a timeshare. Also if you want a room with blackout shades, this is not the right place for you. We were in the Sedona, AZ area in late December and stayed at the Sedona Summit Hotel. Besides the time-share pitch (which other reviews warned), we had a wonderful experience at the Sedona Summit. The suites were roomy & comfortable - our suite could probably accommodate up to 8 people (we had 5). The bed, linens, and pillows were all comfortable. […] The area is outside of the main drag so it's nice & quiet at night. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to cook our own breakfast & dinners during our stay, which is great for travelers who may be budget-conscious. We also utilized the hot tub while we were there - it was a nice way to relax after hiking for the day. The Sedona Summit is close to the Red Rock hiking area. It's about a 10 minute drive from the downtown area. Overall, we had a very nice stay at the Sedona Summit and I think it's a very good value, especially for families. Mehr

This resort has great pools and jacuzzi's and one tucked away close to the hills that has an excellent view of stars in the evening. Very close to the town, easy access to shops and dining.

We did not spend alot of time at Sedona Summit as we were busy exploring Sedona and the Grand Canyon. In time we did spend their we were pleased. We booked an extra night at the end of our timeshare week, and Stephanie Felix at the front desk worked diligently to make sure we did not have to change rooms. I have already recommended Sedona Summit to […] some friends, and I am sure we will be coming back as their are many trails that we have not yet hiked. Mehr

If you like the comfort of a kitchenette, it's great. We weren't aware that if you stayed under 5 days you didn't get maid service. If that doesn't bother you, you're fine. They have a place to dump your recycled trash, so that helped with the trash build-up over the 3 days we were there. We were next to the 89 road, so it was very loud if you wanted […] to sit out on your balcony or have your sliding glass door open for fresh air. We didn't expect that amount of noise for our stay up in Sedona. The room was comfortable enough. The pools and jecuzis were nice. I would stay somewhere else for a more quiet experience. Mehr

This hotel was a great choice to stay in. It is on the west edge of town, and it was quiet and not in the tourist strips like the other hotels I had looked at. The 2 bedroom suite was clean and generous and had a full kitchen. Since our stay was shorter than 7 days, we didn't have housekeeping, but it was fine. There were lots of pools, and activities […] planned if you are into that. The one warning, they sell hard on trying to get you to come to the time share presentation, which was annoying but not a deal breaker. The stay was great for a family vacation, and we will be booking it again next year. Mehr

Very nice and modern all-suites hotel. People complained about the heavy-hitting sales people at the front desk. I politely told them no and checked-in hassle-free. I called a day ahead to get an early check-in and they had us in the room by noon. Great customer service. We stayed in the studio suite for 2 days. Room was clean. Full kitchen (minus an […] oven) was nice and included a high-end blender for our mixed drinks and a deluxe coffee maker. Close to stores, the downtown Sedona strip and hiking and trails. First Hotels.com told me there was a Jacuzzi bath tub in the room and there wasn't. After we checked in the concierge bugged us to watch a 90 min presentation in order to get a better deal on our jeep tour and they would even throw in a free stay somewhere. Well, we did the next day and it was over 2 hours! They were like car salesman and would not […] let you say NO!! We stuck to our guns and said NO over and over! I would have rather stayed in a normal hotel and just relaxed instead of feeling pressured. Mehr

Absolutely horrible stay. So much so we left a day early w/o refund for last night. Very noisy. Typical time share resort. Better off at one of the local b&b's, or a spot in the Village of Oak Creek. Not within walking distance of ANYTHING.

WE HAD THE STUDIO AND IT WAS JUST WHAT WE READ ABOUT ON HOTELS.COM. THE PICTURE SHOWED EXACTLY WHAT WE GOT. BED WAS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. CLEAN AND NEAT, AND OTHER TRAVELERS WERE ALL FRIENDLY. DID NOT KNOW IT WAS A TIME SHARE RESORT.

The grounds and rooms are absolutely fabulous!!! However, it appears that this it a timeshare hotel and they were trying to aggressively pushing sales, which I personally did not appreciate!!!! In addition: 1. Did not feel welcome by the front desk; they were were rather abrupt and not very friendly. 2. Very nice accomodations, tremendous views, nice property, clean, well kept. Can say enough - best kept secret in Sedona!

Kitchen facility was good. Sofa bed was good (Enough to sleep)

Was a little scared after the reviews of the pressure to take the time share tour, but was asked to take it, I declined they asked why, and I told them I was on a limited amount of time and wanted to spend it with my family and they said they understood, but if I changed my mind they would gladly set me up.. that was it! no haggling or pressure. Beds are everything but this one for ME was a bit too soft, no support. However, the grounds, pools and layout were excellent. They don't clean your room until you leave so save your towels on the rack but I did not go to Sedona to stay at the Hotel, I went for the views and surrounding area. A wonderful place to take it all in.

We've been to this resort several times and have stayed in the older units and newer ones. The older units have been kept well but the overall grounds could use some maintenance (i.e. brickwork around lighting is falling apart in some areas, stairs look unfinished or crumbling, ice machines out of order). Inside the one bedroom - I LOVED the pull out […] bed for my two kids. They were extremely comfortable according to them. Flatscreen TV's, fully equipped kitchen, and houshold needs made our stay great. The BBQ grills on the older side is in the middle of remodeling. We had to walk across the street to get to the grills which was a bit inconvenient. The newer units are AWESOME! I think they call them the Sunset suites. You get a great patio view if the unit is on the outside versus the inside. My parents had the studio room which wasupstairs and their view was fantastic. The studio had a partial kitchen fulle equiped w/ fridge. Room was a really good size for 2 (I'd say a bit cramped for 4). The suites on the Sunset side are beautifully appointed, definitely newer decor, and well kept. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, great patio area. I'd say 4 star accomodation rating here versus 3 star at the older units. Mehr

Every thing was great, but they asked us to attend a predentation. We did that and it was mentioned repeatedly that there will not be any pressured sale tectis. We make very clear in the start to Mr Grant that we are not to buy any offer in any condition at this time., so we would not like to go for this sale thing. In spite of this they keep coming […] back to us again and again with lowering the pric e of their offer including their sales manager and a corporate official . They keep offering us different options and insisting us to buy. This was a very high pressure tectis and make us very uncomfortable. We were promised that we will be done with in 2 hrs 9.30 am to 11.30 am ,instead it took 4 hrs.It ruined our half day.This was the most dissatisfying experience at the resort Mehr

It was an uneventful stay at the resort, which is fine by me. If you want a suite style room at a good price, its worth checking out. Had no problem with pushy timeshare sales either. I politely declined, she tried twice to after that, and told me to call if I change my mind, no biggie. I would go back, my only qualm though is that this is the first […] place I ever had actually refuse a late check out when I called and asked. Her reason to many other people had one. Sedona Summit Resort is a beautiful property. It's a Diamond Resort and they will be eager to pitch you on owning a timeshare. If you firmly tell them you are not interested, they will leave you alone. We met friends from another state here and really enjoyed ourselves. All of the units are updated, some more recently than others. Our studio was small […] but nice. There was a kitchen complete with every small appliance you can think of including a blender, plates, glasses, mugs, silverware, bowls, you name it! A good size freezer, too. The couch pulled out to a very comfortable bed. There was a flat screen TV and a DVD player. The bed was comfortable, too. Big shower and a nice size bathroom. Pools are numerous and beautiful. Very nicely cared for and landscapes nicely manicured. Will stay there again. Mehr

Booked a smoking room, but when we arrived they said that there are no smoking rooms even though it was printed on the confirmation

The hotel was very nice. Concierge was helpful and gave good ideas for activities over the weekend. The rooms were excellent from the bed to the kitchen (very convenient) to the patio. Pools were one of the highlights but can be a bit busy. It is a couple miles into uptown but it ended up being nice to have some seclusion.
