Great value for good room breakfast and friendly staff

The room we received was a handicap room which I have never been given in all the times I have booked with Hotels.com. I have now been using this service for over two years now and this was absolutely the worst stay I have had in a long time. We had stayed at this hotel once before and the room as well as the breakfast were wonderful. I do not know […] what went wrong this time. The room smelled of moth balls, the bathroom(since it was handicap) was wide open and the water went everywhere making the floor very slippery. Also we were kept up all night with loud music(thinking it was the bar next door and they would not be able to do anything about it.) at which time I finally called at 4:30 in the morning only to find out that the hotel leaves their outside music on all night and that that is what we were hearing. The egg breakfast was cold and hard and the cereal tasted stale. The only good thing about this stay was that the hotel staff was quite pleasant and apologetic. When I first arrived I was early but not able to check in. They told me it was a handicapp room and I explained that I did not feel comfortable staying in this particular room but their was nothing they could do because they were completely booked. I might consider giving them another shot in the future since the location of the hotel is ideal. Mehr

I was concerned by the mixed reviews this hotel had gotten on various sites, but was very happy with my stay. The hotel is newly renovated, and entirely smoke-free. My room had a nice balcony that you could use (another hotel nearby has balconies, but lodgers are not allowed to use them). Desk staff was very nice. Room was clean, but not impeccable […] (the only reason I did not give 5 stars) had a nice hi-def flat screen tv and an excellent black-out curtain on the sliding doors, the room was so dark I had no idea if it was day or night. There is still some renovation dust around in the elevators and hallways. Breakfast is excellent, as others have noted. Mix of hot and cold foods, fresh fruits, yogurt, baked goods and beverages. Situated right next to the mall and restaurants, and very convenient to the highway. Would definitely stay again. Mehr

This place needs an update...everything is worn in and stained...chair, carpet...no real curtains, just a see-through white drape. Overall, not what i expect for the rate per night.

If I could include picture, you could see the grease stained chair in my room!

We were in Philadelphia for a party and took a lucky guess when we chose this hotel. The room was very nice, staff was personable, breakfast was substantial and ever so convenient to the King of Prussia Mall.

Too noisey. Too close to a freeway and was hard to get to sleep due to the noise.

We had a great stay there! It was 100% pet friendly and everyone was so nice. We were all very comfortable. The only drawback was that Hotels.com listed it as a smoking hotel...we specifically picked this hotel for that reason. The front desk agent indicated there were no non-smoking rooms available and we were placed on the top 7th floor of this hotel in a smoking room. The room did not smell like smoke, it smelled like urine. I had to turn off the air conditioner and use just the fan since the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine ready for flight. it's so slow.....

Not your typical Holiday Inn Express. I stay at HIE quite often and this one really let me down. It looks to me that it may be pending an upgrade, but you are better off waiting until it is done.

Lovely hotel. So close to everything.

Clean, comfortable and affordable hotel. Convenient to PA turnpike and Chester, PA.

The hotel is very convenient to many locations and the staff are very polite and efficient. The breakfast was very good. I think the hotel would be better equipped if it had refrigerators in the rooms and a microwave. However, this shortcoming would not cause me to not stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for buisness when i got into my room i realized it was a handicap accesible room, that the deadbolt would not lock on the door, and i couldn't shut the curtains. when i asked to have my room changed because of this and the fact i was on the first floor so everyone could see into the room i was told no nothing else was available. […] I had no choice but stay so i figured i'd try to make the best of it. because it was a handicap room there was not even a lip on the shower so the floor of the bathroom was also the shower floor. this would not have been a problem except that the whole floor completely flooded and i had to use every towel to dry to dry it. needless to say i could not get ready in the bathroom and there were no outlets near the other mirrors. This hotel was definitely NOT worth the money and they were not at all accomodating! Mehr

The Front Desk was very pleasant and helpful. However, once we got to our room it was a different story. We didn't notice until the next day but there wa a used soap bar in the shower. The coffee filter was also used and had been there awhile because there was mold growing on it. I was NOT happy at all with the hotel and will not be going back.

Great hotel, very good location. Needs some work on the air condiontioning was a bit warm. Great breakfast bar in the am. Employees very nice. I would stay again.

The employees were friendly, the location was amazing, the breakfast was better then I have seen at most hotels. Honestly the best hotel stay I have ever had. The balcony view was amazing. Thanks for the great stay in Philly!!!

Reasonable hotel for college visits and graduation and shopping at the mall. Convenient breakfast to get going in the morning.

This hotel will suffice if you need to be in the King of Prussia area. It is across from the megamall, King of Prussia Mall. The hotel bathroom had a peeling ceiling and the carpeting, especially in the elevator and hallways, was worn. The hotel was not dirty just a little tired.

I booked a "King non-smoking" room throught your site and was told none were available upon arrival. There was large group that had booked direct with Holiday Inn and I was not able to secure my preferred room. The only option was a smoking room overlooking the highway. So I couldn't even keep my window open for air. For someone who does not smoke, […] it is almost impossible to sleep well with the smell. The staff was very nice and location was near my speaking event. This experience really doesn't make me want to book through Hotels.com when going direct ensure a room you prefer. It was a perfect way point; a convenient temporary stopover. Room was adequate, not too small. I could hear everything in the hallway and outside world; a stones throw from a very major, heavily travelled expressway. No movies on the TV but rather regular cable TV. Clean enough, generic enough, comfortable for a one night stay.

Hotel was located near to restraunts and the location in needed to be. I would rate this hotel as an average hotel for a Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean and comfortable. Location is near the mall and many restaurants. Staff was very accomodating and the Breakfast was good. Great value for the price we paid

The hotel was in great shape, but rooms were small and didn't have refrigerator.

The hotel looked very nice both outside and inside. Staff was quick and helpful at getting our room. Our room was nice, clean and looked perfect after a long days drive. Complimentary breakfast was perfect. Had 3 little kids to feed, so having breakfast available was a big help. Eating facility was very clean. The price and service was perfect for us. Only […] thing i have to mention is, the entrance from the main road. the H()()ters sign that's directly next to the hotel sign, dominated, and it can be easily over looked because the red h()()ter sign draws your attention away from the hotel sign. Thus I missed the entrance the 1st time, because we didn't know you have to go through their parking area to get to the hotel. other than that. I recommend this hotel. Mehr

When we got in our suite, we obviously turned on the air conditioning. At first did not kick on in th ebedroom part, then when it did it made a horrendous noise and kept making it. We did call to complain and they switched our rooms. Other disappointment was the fact that the "pool" is only a whirlpool and it was out of service.

Great location for Mall. Front desk staff very courteous and helpful problems started once we got up to room. The room smelled musty and was kind of humid the air conditioner worked as the room was cold but also strangely damp. The air conditioner when it turned on sounded like an airplane during takeoff. Great hotel and impressive breakfast! Now, I suppose it was only a fluke, but my shower had very light pressure. About half the water flow continued out the tub faucet. I could not for the life of me get it totally switched over to shower mode. I ended up using the tub faucet to rinse shampoo out since the shower flow was weak. But who knows? Maybe […] it was just our room. Definitely worth asking about before it surprises you, though. Mehr

This was a positive experience. I have already made recommendations to others for this hotel. I have no real complaints about it at all. It was clean, quiet, easy to get to. I had everything I neededt there and staff were courteous. This was a great hotel for the cost. Several people at the conference I was attending had booked much higher end hotels […] and were not pleased. I would stay there again if I needed to return to that area. It also didn't hurt that the mall was so close, offering so many meal options as well as shopping. Great place to stay. Mehr
