Leider zur Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes sehr laut durch Bauarbeiten (Presslufthammer) ganztägig

Zentral gelegenenes, großes Hotel, gute Verkehrsanbindung, wenige Minuten vom Central-Park entfernt. Zimmer o.k., allerdings ohne richtigen Kleiderschrank, trotz zentraler Lage war es ruhig. Service o.k., aber unpersönlich. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen, Besuch von Konzert, Theater und Oper.

Die Lage ist gut. 5th Avenue und Central Park direkt vor der Haustür, sowie eine Subway-Station. Der Times Square ist in 15 min zu Fuss zu erreichen. Es ist eines der wenigen Hotels in New York mit einem Pool und Terasse. Vom Dach aus hat man einen super Blick auf den Central Park. zentrale lage sicher optimal ,ansonsten aber das Preis, Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmig, Zimmer dunkel, laut, nicht sehr sauber. Der Pool am dach ist mehr als renovierungsbedürftig.

This is a nice hotel but not amazing that's for sure. The rooms are small and the bathroom was beyond small but I guess thats NYC??!?! My biggest complaint was that the windows did not have any dark drapes just light sheers which made sleeping past 7am impossible...and forget an afternoon nap. The drinks in the lounge were crazy expensive but a nice […] environment. A burger from the "burger joint" is a must. Awesome location, close to everything. Mehr

Recently my 7 year old daughter brought home a report card with all 4's, (above expectation and exemplerary). I asked what she would like as a reward for her hard work and she said she wanted to stay in New York City at a hotel with a pool. I searched and found the meridian. After our stay I was impressed with how swank it was, the great location, and […] the service of the employees. The condition of the hotel was in great shape also. The weekend we stayed the Dallas Mavericks happened to be in town and also stayed here. Only praise for how all was carried out and Mark Cuban probably knew about the hotel than I did prior to our stay but I bet we were both happy and I do trust his decisions a little more now. Great stay and happy with almost every aspect of the service. I hope to return and stay again sometime in the near future. Mehr

We have stayed at this hotel for years. The neighborhood is a wonderful place, and an ideal location for a weekend getaway. The hotel is predictably good. Good service, safe and clean. Hotel.com was a great vendor for the transaction. Highly recommended.

Spent the 2nd night of our honeymoon there. It was a pleasure to come back to NY as a visitor after 7 years as a Californian. Between this and the Standard downtown we had perfect locations with great rooms/service/views etc.

We saw the disclaimer on the web site about the noise from construction next door. Take it seriously if you plan on being there during the day. Not just loud. Loud enough to shake the building. We were fortunate to have a suite on the far side from the construction and were not effected by it but heard it when we walked through the and heard how loud […] it was. I have stayed in many hotels in NYC for less money and been much happier. Of course the constant Jackhammer from next door was really not their fault, but they should have done a little something extra for their guest for putting up with the extreme nerve wracking aggravation. During my stay one day my room was not even cleaned or bed made up....not […] to mention that empty starbucks cups were never thrown out. The front desk sent no one when I called about it. A quick breakfast took an hour and 15 minutes. And the elevators were the slowest of any place I've ever stayed. The concierge did manage to ship something successfully for me and that is the only good thing I can say about my stay....but I had anxiety whether my package would actually make it due to the incompetence I had experienced all week. I was sorry I had paid for my stay in advance because I would have left otherwise. I will never stay there again..... Mehr

This hotel excels in administration, friendliness and attentive service. Unfortunately, there was construction next door which filled the hotel with terrible noise 7am-5pm. The room reserved by Hotels.com was adequate, though small and with no amenities. The price we paid was too much .

despite ongoing construction near the site there was no noise on sat.sun.

The following information was not know until the time of check-in. Nothing was mentioned on the hotel's website: 1.) the gym was under construction and had 6 machines and minimal weights 2.) pool was closed for construction 3.) neighboring building had severe and loud construction that took place during sunday morning 4.) Disappointing and over rated. Will not be returning in the future.

Great location. Most concierges were very helpful, but one was not. We had a problem with a wake-up call, but after I complained it was dealt with very well. The front desk manager was wonderful. Greta location, and very good restaurant (Norma's) in the hotel. Overall an excellent experience and I would recommend the hotel.

Couldn't ask for a better location, quieter than Times Square, close to Central Park, museums, and 5th Ave shopping. Nearest subway is N/R although Columbus Circle is nearby (more subway access). Burger Joint in the hotel is AWESOME...feels like you're in the Village. Norma's for breakfast...I know that everyone says this is THE place, but it's very […] overpriced and the portions are huge. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Never had to wait long for an elevator, and it didn't seem crowded even though on a holiday weekend I am sure they were at capacity. Very nice hotel. Construction starts at 7am SHARP and if you're thinking, "how bad could it be?" Its BAD. 7am the walls rattle and you have to turn the TV up really loud to hear over it.

It appears that a new building was being built next door to the hotel. The noise of the construction, from 7:00AM to 3:00PM, was UNBEARABLE! IN fact, on one day, the work was still going on at 5:00PM when we left the room. The hotel should notify anyone making a reservation of this situation so that the correct decision can be made.

There was a lot of construction around the hotel and therefore a lot of noise. i.e. jackhammer and pile drivers. The first morning there was quite a bit of noise The front desk was very helpful and put us into another room which was higher and on the other side. Other than that they were terrific. Construction started early in a.m. Not conducive to sleep.

I travel to New York often and my hotel of choice is Le Parker Meridien. It is consistently clean and comfortable with excellent service. And, I love using Hotels.com to book it because every tenth night, as in my last stay, is free... what more can I ask?

We stayed at this hotel in August and were very happy with everything. The best part by far is the location of this hotel. There is a Starbucks directly across the road for your morning coffee, its two blocks from 5th Avenue and there is a subway at the end of the block. We didn't have breakfast at Norma's after looking at the prices in the room service […] book! The Knave bar in the hotel is great. We went there on our first night and there was a great vibe and seems to be popular with hotel guests and locals too. I did find a glass of wine at $18 to be a bit overpriced but the atmosphere was great and made it worth it. We didn't have dinner at the Burger Joint but judging by the long queues every night, the burgers must be good. Raphael, one of the concierges was really great. He was so friendly and was always helpful with suggestions. I would highly recommend Rue 57 which is very close to the hotel. Great vibe and good food. When I go to NY again I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel once again. Mehr

Love the location, close to transportation and easy access all over the city. Lobby smells from hamburgers. Mold around bathtub. Bathroom ceiling peeling, The doorman was rather brusque when I left. He refused to close the cab door when I didn't give him a tip (which he didn't deserve).

The hotel is very nice and on a quiet street. Great place to stay. The room was very nice. The only complaint is that they charge for the fitness room. I've stayed on many nice hotels and have never been told you need to pay to use free weights. The free weights are not "free" at this hotel.

There was construction in front of the hotel so my initial impression was off. When I got to the front desk the computers were down so we were not able to check into our rooms. One by one as they gained access guests were allowed to check it. By then my stress level was high. When I was finally able to get into my room I was disappointed at the small […] size of the room, bathroom and beds. Also the decor was sort of antiquated and old looking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They do however, have a friendly staff and good restaurants. Mehr

A stone's throw from Carnegie Hall and not much further from Central Park. Norma's is spectacular for breakfast!

What a fabulous hotel! Great location and wonderful amenities and very gracious service. It is definitely a do-over!

The price was pretty good for right by Central Park. If you're doing a party in their PH, it's beautiful but probably much nicer in the summer since there's a nice balcony. The rooms were nice. The bedding didn't seem fresh and there were some stains on it. The shower curtain was also dirty--they'd be better off using glass doors--and a bit grimy. We had originally booked 4 nights at a different 4 star hotel on this website, but canceled once we saw our room and booked at Parker instead. This hotel was excellent. We upgraded to a suite (400 square feet) with beautiful views and lots of light (hallways are still way too dark in my opinion). The location is perfect, just steps from 5th avenue and […] central park. The gorgeous bar serves a huge dish of fried olives and nuts with every drink order and the cheap and gritty hamburger joint in the lobby is an unexpected change of pace from the typical hotel restaurant for sure! We didn't try the super popular breakfast restaurant because it was always so packed with people. The service and concierge are excellent and even though it was slightly more expensive than our original 4 star hotel, it was well worth the extra expense and really made our 5 days in NYC special. My only complaint is that the bed was no where near as comfortable as expected. I got hip pain sleeping on my side, which never happens at home or in other "luxury" beds. Mehr
