Comfort Suites Airport - San José

Hotel is terrible. Old, dated, stinky, gross, dirty, moldy, etc. Homeless people sleeping in alley next door at Denny's. Close to airport, yes, but that's the only thing it's got going for it. My room stank. Mold in bathroom. It's the first hotel I've ever seen that has to attach the iron to the ironing board with a steel cable! That kind of says it […] all. Do yourself a favor and NEVER stay here. Comfort Suites? Ya kidding me! Part of the "Choice" Hotel chain? Who's Choice? Not mine ever again.... Mehr

Literally seconds to the Light Rail Transit system to downtown. Minutes to the airport. Older hotel but clean and safe.

This was an older hotel but overall wasn't in bad shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't bad. Would stay here again.

The hotel is in excellent condition, and kept very clean. The breakfast (included) was hot, and fruit was fresh. Convenient location a few blocks from the airport. It was a quiet and refreshing stay

This was such a bummer! The place was great, looked clean, was excellent with airport transportation, nice linens, excellent service, good breakfast buffet. BUT, when I woke in the morning there were two adult bedbugs near the beds. Sure enough about a day later I had at least 8 bites on my body.

There were two ear piercing fire alarms during my week stay and three times my card key was deactivated. Once the office staff was not available to re-key the card. Parking was difficult due to large pillars that interfered with the parking lines, but smaller cars could fit. The breakfast was great although it did not vary by much. comfortable, has all the amenities needed, great service. i was particularly worried about the airport shuttle because my flight was at 6:20 am. the "shuttle" is actually a free cab and the hotel was totally awesome about all the arrangements. very happy. great stay.

The hotel is in general very good, except two things: (1) the parking is a little too tight, and (2) very limited number of TX channels.

The room was wonderful, very clean and spacious, comfortable beds with good pillows and linens. Bathroom was very clean with great water pressure and temp control. We booked our reservations online 2 weeks ahead. We were delayed on our flight into San Jose by an hour and a half. We called to make sure there was shuttle service to the hotel. We were coming in at 2:10 am and wanted to be sure we had shuttle service at that time of morning. We were notified of the delay around 1:30 pm. We waited to call until 4:00 […] pm to see if there were any going to be additional delays. The woman assured us they would have transportation for us. I called the woman at 2:06 am and she said "give me a minute". I took that to mean she was working to get herself or someone to come and get us. After 45 minutes, I called back and she said I hung up on her and she didn't get them informatioin. We had asked her when they could get there. I was tired and cold. She said 10 minutes. At 10-12 minutes later, I called back. She said she would call the taxi service to pick us up and they would be there in 10 minutes and she would have them call me. Ten minutes later the taxi man called and said we will be there in 7 minutes. I understand early morning difficulties with taxis, but we saw several go by while we were waiting. If we would have been notified of difficulty, we could have taken one of the other methods of travel. I felt this wasn't professional at all in making us feel welcomed. I would recommend getting your own transportation to get to their hotel that is close to the airport. Mehr

The hotel itself was nice and clean. The hot breakfast was okay--better selection than most hotel breakfasts. Parking was tight. The hotel is next to a cheap motel with very scary-looking characters walking through at all hours. They were also very noisy and I was woken up at 3AM because of the yelling next door. Bed was comfortable. Room was very spacious. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. Within walking distance, there weren't many choices for restaurants.

The location of this hotel is not the greatest, and the parking is a bit confusing. However, the hotel was clean and comfortable and a great deal for the price. We decided to go with it especially because of the complimentary breakfast that was fully stocked. Would definitely stay there again!

I totally loved this place too. It's has more room and the bathroom is very nice. It has really cute little kitchnett with refridgerator. I wasn't expecting this. I totally recommend this place. The only thing that sucks is the parking. We dealt with it. It's so close to Denny's so that you can eat whenever you want.

A nice, clean hotel close to the airport, Children's Museum, and easy access to highways. Parking garage is a little small (large vehicles wouldn't fit well), but it wasn't full. Decent breakfast and fitness center, but no pool!

Other than that, it was a nice hotel

My daughter and I needed to stay somewhere near the airport and also wanted easy access to good dining and entertainment. By car, the hotel is only within minutes and a coupleof turns to get downtown and "almost on the runway" to the airport. Nice part was, insulation is great, and we couldn't hear the air or auto traffic. Very clean, staff was very professional, […] nice buffet hot breakfast. Felt safe and comfortable. Not bad at all for the price. Free parking, breakfast, and close to everything. The room was moderately priced and comfortable. I had a better experience here than at the Embassy Suites and for half the price. The neighborhood was kinda ghetto, but since I wasn't wandering the streets and they had garage parking it wasn't an issue.

All I can say is you definitely get what you pay for.

We could not have been much happier with this accommodation. It had everything we seek in a room – quiet & comfortable, free parking & WiFi, a microwave & refrigerator, free newspaper and added to that was a great breakfast spread with most everything anybody could want. Additionally, the room & bathroom were spacious, with an oversized desk, couch […] & coffee table. The hotel is a very short walk from a light rail stop & there is an airport shuttle. We were lucky enough to get all this for a fraction of the price of most other places, as I found it offered during a sale period. Mehr

Stayed at this hotel because I was attending a seminar being held there! We pulled up to find this hotel surrounded by pretty much nothing! (a run down Denny's and 7 11....all in all though it was a pretty good hotel! Front desk person was very helpful and accommodating when we asked for a crib for our son! Hot breakfast in the morning which was nice! […] Maids were very nice! My only complaints are the surrounding area, and the tiny little square pillows they expect you to sleep on! Mehr

This is a great hotel for the money, very nice and well kept. The breakfast is great. The major downfall is it is between two crack and prostitute infested dumps and all hours of the day and night those folks are up and around. You are not affected by the noise at all but it is a bit intimidating anytime you are in the garage or outside.Also, the garage […] is not secure and although we never heard of anything during our stay, you feel like it would be very easy to have your car broken into. Very impressive Comfort Suites. Well located close to Norman Minneta Airport, but incredibly quiet. The room seemed completely soundproof. Friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast, immaculate room, comfy bed. Great price. Definite 5/5.

I had a very good experience with the recent 2-night stay. The hotel served fresh fruits and hot coffee/tea 24/7 in the lobby area.

I could of and should have stayed at other hotels in the area for around the same price and would have been much happier. Rooms are claimed to be suites bit they are just regular rooms with a couch. The condition of the rooms is rough at best, scuff marks all over walls, my window faced a building not 6 feet away so the wall was my view. I was very pleased when I drove up to the hotel. The surrounding areas were not very pleasing but upon entering the lobby everything was very pleasant, clean, warm and inviting. My confirmation said breakfast was not included but to find out it was that was a plus. Breakfast was not your ordinary sweet rolls and cereals. We had hot food: bacon, hash […] browns, eggs and you can make your own fresh waffles. There was also your sweet rolls, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, milk and juice. Very NICE. Ok, but not great. no first floor rooom.

The Comfort Suites Airport in San Jose is a nice hotel. It's close to SJC and Downtown San Jose. There's free WiFi. It was slow when I first tried it, but I had better download speeds later in the evening. There was a refrigerator that I did not use, but it was useful to have there. The continental breakfast was also nice. I would stay here again […] if I had an overnight business trip in San Jose. Mehr

Most guests would only stay in an airport area hotel for one night. In the case of Comfort Suites, I would probably go with their Clarion brand hotel at the airport area. This hotel is a little run down and depressing in decor. Calling it a "suite" is a stretch as it is a slightly larger room with a small sofa and quasi kitchen unit at the entrance […] end. The area is not the best particularly for access to convenience foods. The pillows were half size. The back parking lot is a bit dicey as it belongs to the lower end hotel property next door. Mehr

Good

I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a quiet, and reasonably priced place to stay near the airport. The breakfast was hot and cold and was okay too. Hotel decor is dated but some effort has been made to renovate etc. I would stay here again.

The hotels was clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly. They even found me a toothbrush and toothpaste because I forgot mine. The parking was a tad bit tight but I would stay there again no problem.
