Holiday Inn South Kingstown - South Kingstown

The room service started knocking at the door by 10 am till 11 30...around 15 times. It was very annoying. I have never had that experience ever and because of this I will not stay at that place.

It's a clean hotel with friendly staff that is very convenient to URI. The mattress was worn and not very comfortable.

Its o.k., Pool wasnt available Ijust want to have a nice weekend with my son. but we found other things near the area that we enjoyed.

Only real complaint is that the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything in the room next door.

Came to South Hampton for a college game at URI. Perfect hotel for this destination. Hotel has great ammenities, nice bar. Easy access to Newport and great restuarants.

It was a comfortable room. The fron desk staff was very accomadating, promptly responding to my request for an additional chair. One morning the house keeping staff did not clean the toilet.

Very clean, affordable and friendly hotel. Quiet location. Would recommend.

A moderately priced, perfectly acceptable mid-range hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel and was previously satisfied with the service until I encountered one waitress who was unwelcoming when I tried to order breakfast last Nov 5, 2011. She informed me that it was going to take a while. I told her I was willing to wait, but while waiting , she would throw the menu cards in front of us standing in the counter […] , which I felt was rude. I didnt mind waiting but I surely minded her behaviour which to me was unacceptable. I understand that she is busy , but if she is not happy to be working with hotel guests, then she has no place in the hotel business. was in town on business. Front desk very helpful in receiving and then forwarding a fedex package for me that was delivered late. beds not the best but perfect for overnight. Bar on premises was nice. Clean and quiet. internet good.

What you'e expect from a Holiday Inn. Nice people, clean. Free Wi-fi. Close to URI and not a lot to choose from. Better than average Italian restaurant in the building (in an area with terrible cuisine).

We loved the room, the staff, the pool. The staff was always ready with directions or recommendations and very friendly. Room very clean, spacy, good climate control. Would definitely stay again. Do NOT however eat @ the Italian restaurant (Luciano's??) The food was beyond terrible. Escargot: chewy; mozarella: cold; cesear salad: warm & limp & brown; […] pasta alfredo: awful tasting, bitter & as if cheese was bad; shrimp fra diavolo: minimal shrimp, pasta undercooked, not spicy. The service was as bad as the food. Our waiter, Evan; did not offer us bread, never refilled our drinks, never offered us ground pepper or parmesean for our salads (other diners were given these choices); never checked on us. Location is convenient to Narranganset and surrounding towns. The staff is very friendly and will help in any way possible. Breakfast is a big opportunity, the staff was very very slow as well as dissorganized and it seemed that every bill had some type of error overcharging the gustes. This Holiday Inn is badly in need of refurbishing. They've upgraded the lobby but the room and teensy, low-end bathroom are barely acceptable. However, our family gathering was 1/4 mile away which made it an extremely attractive location. There is a better alternative at the same price...a Hampton Inn in South Kingstown 1 mile down the road on Route […] one.That's where I'm staying next time. Mehr

We had a great stay at the hotel overall. The place is clean, and room service did great as well. The Italian place attached to the hotel is actually quite good for dinner too. BUT, DO NOT eat breakfast there. We were one of 2 tables at first, and they screwed up my daughters order. Simple mistake (giving us fried rather than scrambled eggs), so we […] sent it back. Then, the place quickly filled up, and I watched as EVERY table sent something back. There is clearly a communication issue in the kitchen. Once the staff fell behind, they became impossible to get help from. They hid in the kitchen while most of us needed help, and when they came out, they dropped off food, and quickly ran off. I sent the family back to the room, and waited well over 15 minutes before I could even ask for the check. AWFUL. It took me walking out to get their attention, and finally getting a check from them. Room clean. Great out door pool. great hotel restaurant. Free trolley service.Friedly staff. I would return there.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of room. the bath room was not clean (toilet, tub, and shower curtain)

The location worked perfectly for our needs--15 minutes to Newport and less to the nearby beaches. Not much within walking distance, if that is your need. Nice rooms and facilities.

You could find a much cheaper hotel with same quality in a much better place. It is located in the middle of no where... same services and quality as any other hotel... does not worth the extra money I paid. No extra services or attractions around...

The hotel is totally diferent of what you see in the pictures, the breakfast was ... ( no words), the location was to far from everything! The pool is Really small, the restaurante is Really Really bad!

My family and I spent 4th of July there. We liked everything. There's no continental breakfast offered, but there's a dunkin donuts next door. The pool was great, but if you have toddlers or younger there's no kiddie pool. Location wise: it is near many attractions. Staff: was friendly and helpful. There's a trolley available too. We were looking for somewhere near Newport and our main priority was an outdoor pool where we could lounge and this one did not dissapoint. We really liked the pool. The hotel itself is a little older but kept in good condition. The breakfast server was SUPER nice as were all of the staff. we must of had 40 ants in our room and they moved to the bed as i was sleeping i went down and complained to a desk clerk and she apolized and gave me another room on another floor and a voucher for 20.00 for breakfast in morning except when i went down for breakfast the next morning they were closed and they did not refunf my 20.00 voucher back . they […] told me to complaint to you about it . i would never stay there again. I was pleasantly surprised to find what a great room we received at the Kingston Holiday Inn. Our room was updated, clean, and a great value for the money. Would definitely stay there again through Hotels.com.

very clean room, Very comfortable, halls very clean , grounds well cared for, nice landscaping, I will definitly stay here again next time I visit my daughter

Pretty good for the price. No frills accomodations. Close to everything else, including Newport. Nice facilities for entertaining.

This hotel could use some sprucing up. The hallways are a little smelly, for some reason. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the restaurant, to be able to have a good breakfast before heading to the beach, and when we entered the restaurant, we were told they would only be serving an all-carb Continental breakfast, for $8 per person, because […] they couldn't get a cook to stay on staff. That was disappointing. Also, there was a tray of dirty dishes by our door when we checked in that stayed there for over 24 hours. Mehr

Condition of hotel and room was very good. Everything appeared to be new or newly remodeled. Room did not have a microwave or refrigerator.
