Adobe Inn & Studios - Santa Fé

this felt like a home from long ago. loved the little flower courtyard right outside my room. the hotel lobby was lovely too with all the zen-vibes and airy adobe layout. i have to say that the hotel really has done its best and more to bring some good feeling into a depressed area. i would change the blankets though and some of the inner decor of the […] room, it's a bit dark and cave-like in the room itself. the area was kind of an industrial/ commercial portion outside of the santa fe' arts and historic areas. there was an awesome goodwill nearby and i got some cool new used items. the people are all very caring and it really feels like discovering a new extended family. the only thing that was a little of an issue were some of the drunk people coming in and out and sometimes staying at the place. they sort of mind their own business but once in a while if you are a female you will come under their radar. just keep polite and keep away and safe and it should be okay. Motels generally are not the quietest places on earth, but this motel wins the award for thinest walls ever! We could hear every conversation from the rooms on either side of ours. Two doors down there was a baby and when it cried, it sounded like it was in our room! The hotel permits dogs and one of the adjoining rooms had a small barking dog. It barked […] at Everything. The motel was in sorry shape, the ice machine didn't work much to the discust of a biker lady who lives long term there and who took out her anger on the machine. The staff couldn't give directions to anything in the area, our key cards for our 3 day stay only worked for one. Not a good place to stay overall. Mehr

My friend and I got there and the wifi (which they advertised) was not working and we needed it to see where stuff was in Santa Fe and what to do. So we called the front desk and the guy who turned out to be the manager was completely rude and it took three calls for him to fiinally go and restart the router, but of course once we were connected, the […] connection was too low for anything to work. The water was always hot, except for when you took a shower. The remote randomly stopped working after a certain time (around 10). It wasn't a nice experience and I would recommend staying somewhere else. Mehr

The whole experience was awful!

Room was clean, but heater needed "adjusting". Hotel is not being well maintained. Ok if you just need a place to crash for the night, but not very comfortable. Free internet does not work very well.

Do NOT stay here! The front desk was NOT helpful (later found out it was the OWNER!) when my girlfriend and her two teens tried to find their room. This is an older hotel which has longterm people in it; thus there were some scary people around. Would not reccomend unless you wish to score something or be with odd people....if it hadn't been very late […] we would have gone elsewhere. Mehr

We were only there for one night. Not in the best neighborhood, but the room was clean and quiet. For the price it worked.

Juswt had a little problem in check out, needed more time.........but that is the case in traveling i guess. got in late, but everything was ready, a great location to put me in, and get in late was easy acces. i will return

Advertised as having free wireless internet access, but the wireless signal was way too weak for my computer to connect, and my room was really close to the lobby from where the wireless signal was being transmitted. There was a lot of construction going on when we went, which was a shame because the rest of the facility was great. Construction was on the road in front and to the side of it so getting in was hard for out of towners. Besides that, GREAT hotel!

This motel is located on a main road to the Plaza. There is a local bus that stops near the hotel that you can take downtown or you can drive and park in the paid public parking. There is a shuttle bus that runs a fixed route thru downtown that is free and hop on/off to help you get around the area. We took a small bus tour that was helpful to learn […] about the area. The road area near the motel was under construction when we were there but that should be finished in October/November. Construction noise was not an issue. Some limited access to the motel. Restaurants and a grocery store are nearby. The room was typical-two queens with decent amenities. The bathroom was clean but worn and needs to be updated. For the price we paid it was a good deal for a couple of nights. Mehr

I read the previous reviews and based my decision on those reviews. I was very displeased with MOTEL, not Hotel in general. The grounds were dirty and unkempt. The north side of motel faced a mechanics garage with a huge overflowing garage dumpster. Less than desirable people hanging about, and Cerrillos Rd was under major construction which wasn't […] a huge issue due to holiday w/e. The pillows and linens in general were very outdated/over used and need replaced. I could go on, but don't mean to be rude. This was truly more of a MOTEL experience, rather than a HOTEL experience. I've never had a worst experience. The first room they gave us was already occupied, and when I went to the second room, the beds were leaning against the wall and there was a bug bomb sitting in the center of the room!! We accepted the third room only because it was, quite simply, available, and we didn't want to go through another 45 minute ordeal. […] HOWEVER, in this room there was an immediate foul odor and the highway construction was quite noisy. The plumbing fixtures on the sink and shower weren't attached, so everytime you turned the water on, they moved with you. The florescent type light in the bathroom never really lit up, and couldn't get that fixed, so we used the heating lamp for light. Also, the internet connection advertised on the Hotels.com website stated HS internet. HS must stand for horrendously Slow because, half of the time my computer would just respond, that the connection was not available after a search of several minutes.Then, when it rained, although there was a roof over the sidewalk, the water ran into our room and the carpet was wet for the final two days of a 4 day stay. We would have moved to another hotel, however, most were booked and the rates at the remaining places were prohibitive. Mehr

Staff friendly & helpful. Room clean, beds firm, TV and air-conditioning in good working order. Quiet. Observed maintenance staff walking around picking up litter from parking lot. Price for value was very good. Will plan on staying at Adobe Inn again when in Santa Fe.

Got this room after a mixup on reservations someplace else. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Room was clean, but smelled stale unless AC was on. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was included.

We requested a non-smoking room. However, the first room reeked of smoke and cleaning products. We requested a different room and surprise, this "non-smoking" room was no better. It seems that the no smoking policy for certain rooms is not enforced.

We didn't expect this to be beautiful but it was worse than expected. We asked for a non-smoking room but the room we were offered reeked! We asked for another room and this was even worse. We finally were shone a room that was acceptable but pretty run down. The staff tried their best to be helpful and friendly but the fact is, this place is not well […] maintained. Mehr

This hotel is not too far from downtown, but construction going on in fronof hotel, impossible to get out. The breakfast area clean and good variety, Jacuzzi broken and taped off. Pool very dirty. Two out of four of the excercise machines broken. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, however the maitenence man was abrubt and very rude. We chose this hotel as it was pet friendly. The maitenence man made a point to walk by our room many times and actually stopped to tell us that they just put new carpet in and my dogs needed to be kept in a kennel if we left the room. He actually […] followed us out the hallway! We told him that 1 of our 2 dogs was kenneled. Our dogs are well trained and I am the one that would be paying extra if anything was damaged. I paid an extra $20/night for pet fees. There were also a lot of people who seemed to be renting a room just to party and some who looked a little shady. Mehr

Older hotel. We were wanting to spend time for our anniversary. Clean but towels are old. We will not go back.

Didn't get the room I ordered. Called front desk to complain. Got the room I ordered.

I booked a non-smoking room and got a room where someone obviously smoked and they tried to cover up the smell with some Febreeze. The top lock was missing and the front pane of the window was broken. The walls and doors and banged up and there are stains. It looked like someone broke into this room and there was a lengthy brawl, followed by someone […] smoking. I'd never stay here again. Mehr

I loved the photos in the website, however the hotel looked very little like them. The website showed beautiful rooms and bathrooms. The bathroom was very worn and the tub was barely big enough to sit in. ( I wouldn't have sat down in it). I was dissapointed and didn't feel I got what I bargained for, but what I paid for yes.

My sons truck broke down and he needed a place to stay. I booked a room at Adobe Inn & Studios through Hotels.com. He was surprised at how nice the hotel was. He wants to stay at this hotel again but under better circumstances.

We were at first given a room facing the street - but the room was missing a bed, the safety lock was broken and there was a lot of noise. We asked to change and they graciously gave us a much nicer location facing the pool and away from the street. We kept telling ourselves we were saving money. One ice machine didn't work, the other kept running […] out of ice. The "deluxe" continental breakfast was a minus minus - they had waffles to make, coffee, bagels, and cereal. The milk was a bit sour. But we saved money. If you can live with these kinds of things, it was fine. If you can't, pay more money! The staff was helpful and friendly. Mehr

Thishotel was in the middle of town, however the surroundiing building and classof people were a little scarey. I was there on out of state for a funeral,, I asked for a late check out, and reg uk lar check out was1100, they only gave me till 1130, and right at 1130, they were at my door telling us it was time togo,, wr w er eloading up the car. our first room was infested with bugs (probably termites) but we were immediately changed to a clean and lovely room.... the staff and food was wonderful, also beautiful location

The hotel staff was extremely polite, knowledgable, and helpfull. The facilities, particularly the bathroom, was old and in need of renovating.

Hotel is OK as an ultra inexpensive one night stop. Appeared to be quite a few "low end" type people (read: living out of their cars) living at the hotel. I'm guessing they do one week or one month stays at discount for these types of folks. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Neighborhood quite shady with a strip joint down the street. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I was disappointed that they had no pay movies. i will stay at Adobe again and recommend to friends.

The hotel is in a convenient location and offered good amenities. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. However, rooms were old and in need of maintenance (carpet was in terrible shape, bathroom needed a new tub/sink, water from the sink was only warm and hot could not get cold water). Nonetheless, it provided good value for Santa Fe.

Just 10 gallon of hot water for each shower... Go figure....

It seemed nice but the heater in the room didn't work. We had to switch rooms. I reserved two rooms with King beds and got double beds. There was no breakfast for the continental breakfast.

The facility is clean and nice. I like a little fluffier pillow but that's about it.

Our hotel stay was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean. However, the room had many problems. Such as: 1. The carpet was wet (not dry after cleaning) 2. There were burn holes in the bedspread 3. Non-smoking room reeked of tobacco smoke 4. Stains on carpet 5. Carpet coving was hanging loose in places 6. Entry door could only […] be opened ~30 degrees 7. Room did not have a "do not disturb" card. Asked front desk for a card; however, they did not send one up as promised. Told front desk not to service room after first night; however, when we returned to the room we found the windows wide open. The complimentary breakfast did not offer a great many choices. There was cereal, waffles, or bagels and only one type of fruit. Mehr

The staff were very pleasant,knowledgable and accommodating making our stay more pleasurable. The rooms were a little outdated but for the price it was all that we needed. Great place to stay and I would definitely consider staying again next time.
