Club Hotel - Mestre

This is a pretty nice place to stay. If you can get past the European idea of room size (which can be hard for an American), then it's a really nice place to stay. We were quite surprised at how clean and modern it is. The wifi does not work in the rooms, but you can use it downstairs in the lobby just fine. It's a little hard to get into the parking […] area because there is a huge tree in the roundabout and the roots have torn up the pavement. However, I would recommend this place if you are only looking for a place to lay your head, check in with the loved ones back at home and post a few pics on Facebook. We didn't expect to spend any time in the room other than sleeping and shower anyway, so it worked out great for us! Mehr

After reading the reviews for our stay at the Mestre Club Hotel, my husband and I didn’t have very high expectations. However, since the price matched our ‘youth-hostel’ budget, we decided to give it a try. Upon our arrival we found the front desk person to be very kind, pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, with adequate space and overall much […] better than we expected. Even though the mattress was not brand-new, it worked out just fine for our 2-night stay. We did not have breakfast at the hotel since there is a grocery store between the hotel and the train station where we were able to buy things to munch on along the way. (there is a no-eating-in-the-rooms policy at the hotel). We would definitely consider using the same hotel again on future trips to Mestre/Venice. Mehr

shabbiest place, we checked in late night, and there was no light in the corridor on our floor...we had to use our cell phones to find our room...room was very dirty...only thing good was that there was a bus stop to venice right in front of the hotel!!

Far from old Venice City. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Room not as clean as we'd have liked.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, there is easy access to Venice by bus right outside the hotel. The windows could do with fly screens as we were bitten many times by mosquitoes during our stay and there is no air conditioning. The breakfast is good quality.

Carpets were filthy.

The staff at the hotel was polite and cooperative, the room was clean and the bathroom an adequate size, however the room and breakfast were basic at best. The beds were not comfortable and the breakfast was just adequate. The worst hotel we have been ever. The room was not comfortable.. Definitely not worth your money and definitely not a 3 star hotel.Hotel attendant wasn´t helpfull and didn´t give us right information. She was rude and making fun of other guests behind their backs. Good choice when you have a car and you go to Venezia by bus. Simple and easy.

The worst hotel we stayed at in a VERY long time. Could be likened to a hostel and not a hotel. The room was extremely tiny. The carpet was filthy, the mattress was stiff as a board. The walls were stained with soot. They could not pay me to stay there again. Definitely not worth your money and definitely not a 3 star hotel. Air con nott available until 25 May and room was very warm. Not set in a park as described. No safe in room or bar fridge as described. Lights not working until we reported them. Location good on main bus route into Venice, staff friendly but not worthy of a three star.

One of the reasons why I chose this hotel was because of Wireless internet connection in the lobby, but it didn't have the connection and the reception said the modem was out of order and everyday he said they would fix the modem the next day. We chose this hotel on the mainland for it's reasonably close proximity to Venice and it's neighborhood location with ease of access to affordable shopping and dining. My only complaint was the lack of internet at the hotel as it was advertised. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It is a good bargain for those on a budget.

I selected this hotel on the basis of its customers ratings and the price and I was not disappointed when I reached the hotel. It is a good three star hotel with almost all facilities. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean and big enough. Bathroom is spacious too and I also liked the breakfast they served. It was not included in my hotel […] rent but I paid 5EUR per day and it was good. The only bad thing about the hotel is the distance from Venice. Although there are direct buses every half and hour from Venice to hotel but still staying in Venice would be an altogether different experience I believe. But I have no regrets as I knew the distance and I still selected the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for cheap and good stay in Mestre. Mehr

The hotel is clean. Breakfast is good, but no chance to get breakfast before 7:30 am, even if you hurry to the station, as was our case. It is true that the room has a strange smell, probably from the glue of wallpaper. The young lady at the reception took us 5 euros to keep the 2 small suitcases in the luggage room. We stayed here for easy access to Venice. The hotel is not fancy, but it is decent, quiet, clean and it has a very nice breakfast. The staff spoke English and were extremely helpful. The bus to Venice stops almost directly in front of the hotel and goes directly to the Grand Canal in Venice. You can buy a 24-hour ticket for only 8 EU per person, which […] allows you to ride not only the bus to and from Venice, but also take the boats that travel the canals. Club Hotel has some fairly nice rooms. Unfortunately as a Hotels.com guest I was not provided one of those. Rather, the manager placed me in room 203 at the end of a musty hall. The room had a very heavy smell, which was likely mold under the very old and heavily stained indoor/outdoor carpet. Location of the hotel was not bad as the bus stop was very […] handy. The management comments that "one can walk to the Mestre Train Station in 20 minutes" is not accurate, however. Rather the walk is at least 40 - 45 minutes at a very rapid walk. I corrected the manager when he stated that to me because I walked it several times. One concern for individuals without private transport is the traditional strikes of the Italian tranportation unions. There was a wildcat bus strike one day while I was at the Club Hotel. Other forms of transit must be found in such cases. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty. Since fruit is in good supply and of good quality, I would suggest they might include fruit and fewer choices of buns/toasts. The room was not provided with a glass of any type and one had to take medications with water from the tap in hand. The maid service was inconsistent as some days the towels were taken and not replaced nor was there any fresh soap (very small bars) or shampoo packets provided at times. When requested these items were provided by the desk before bedtime. In short this hotel was not of the quality of other Hotels.com. that I have visited. The standard of this hotel was not very good. The carpets were very dirty. The bedding and towels were worn. We arrived late in the evening and the desk clerk did not know English and it was difficult to get him to understand that we had booked the rooms through the internet. It was not our best experience.

We stayed here as a base to visit Venice and was fine for that. The Hotel could do with updating and the rooms are basic, again could do with updating. Breakfast was adequate. On the plus side there is a bus stop right outside the hotel for you to catch to go to Venice - they go every 30 minutes and take about 20 minutes to get there.

Hôtel situé devant un arrêt de bus idéal pr se rendre à venise et ne pas payer le prix exhorbitant des parking venisiens! Ville calme, la reception parle français et donne pleins de conseils. Petit déjeuner à volonté et varié. Ne pas hésiter!

El hotel no me gusto por que es muy viejo y el aseo no es adecuado, no me parece de 4 estrellas. Lo que si tiene es muy buena ubicación ya que se llega fácil en bus desde la terminal de trenes Mestre o desde Venezia.

Ganske fint hotel til billige penge. Fin service, komfort, stand, indretning og beliggenhed i forhold til standart og pris. Busserne til Venedig og togstationen går lige udenfor døren. Bestemt over det forventede og meget anbefalelsesværdigt. Morgenmadsbuffeten var dog ikke noget at prale af og hotellets udvendige vedligeholdelse heller ikke.

Bardzo blisko przystanek autobusowy do Wenecji, a właściwie prawie pod samym hotelem, spokojna okolica, miła obsługa, chętna do udzielania potrzebnych informacji. Pokoje czyste, schludne, codziennie sprzątane, wymieniane ręczniki w łazience, tylko niezbyt przyjemny zapach dywanu, który rzucał się szczególnie […] po wejściu do pokoju. Śniadania wliczone w cenę pokoju po części w formie stołu szwedzkiego. Natomiast internet nie jest w "wyposażeniu" pokoju, można było wykupić godzinę korzystania internetu za dodatkową opłatą. Mehr

Big and confortable room with an old bathroom and a very small shower. Tv didn´t work but the room has a/c. Breakfast "buffet" was very poor and no buffet for most of the food. Great location, bus for Venice city centre stops just in front of the hotel. The recepcionists were very nice and helpful.

J'ai aimé resté à Club Hotel. Le gens que travaillent là sont très sympa et gentil. La chambre est grand et confortable. La climatizacion n'ai pas marché bien, et la chambre etait très chaud. Le petit-dejaneur etait très bon aussi.

El hotel se encuentra en las afueras de Mestre y para llegar en autobus tiene que tomarlo a mas tardar a las 10.00 de la noche. Y si estas en Venecia a las 8:55. De lo contrario tienes que irte a pie. Las habitaciones además de tener las luces mal distribuídas ( no se puede leer) tienen mal olor debido a la humedad. No dejan jabón, champoo y papel H. […] con la frecuencia que deben hacerlo. A diario. El baño no lo lavan bién por lo que se encuetra con hongos entre las uniones de las baldosas. El contrato fue con desayuno, pero si se acaba el sumo (jugo de naranja o multivitaminas) no le ponen mas y dicen que se acabó., al igual que los otros productos del dispensador. En otras palabras si no entras entre los primeros al comedor, te quedas a medio desayunar. Mehr

Cet hôtel aurait pu être bien, si la poussière et l'entretien en général n'avait pas était oublié depuis des années, le sommier était réparé avec des planches et était tout déchiré, le pommeau de douche avait de la crasse autour des trous, le radiateur était rouillé, la tapisserie datant des années 60 était déchirée, des traces de noir au plafond, des […] traces de mains sur les murs, une moquette abîmée qui dégageait une mauvaise odeur......, un état inadmissible pour un hôtel 3 étoiles, et même pour un hôtel tout simplement! un peu loins de centre ville de venise. Les horaire de bus se termine avant minuit ce qui fait est un peu dommage de ne pas pouvoir profiter venise la nuit. Ou de pouvoir rentrer à l'hotel de se changer dans la journée. S'il y avait un boilloire pour prendre un the ou tizan en rantrant ou un café, en se réveillant était mieux. Mais d'une manière générale […] était satisfaisant au niveau qualité prix. Le savon et champoo n'était pas assez dans la salle de douche, il n'y avait pas ni un seul verre ou tase dans la chambre. Hotel bez specjalnej rewelacji ale przysteny cenowo oraz z łatwym dojazdem, parkingiem i dogodną komunikacja do Wenecji. Dywan oraz zasłony wymagały definitywnie gruntownego czyszczenia. Klimatyzacja działała dosć głosno ale wydajnie. W miejscu na lodowke pozostaly tylko drzwiczki... Obsluga ok, widac ze hotel wymaga dofinansowania. hôtel 3 étoiles n'en méritant pas 1. Dans la chambre, tapis très sale, abat jour rempli d'auréoles. La tv ne fonctionnait pas, tant pis. parking de 5€ demandé devant l'hôtel (faut voir le parking, il s'agit de l'entrée principale de l'hôtel au milieu se trouve un arbre dont les racines sortent du sol, ça c'est le parking. 10 € pour un chien dans une […] sale chambre, honteux vraiment je ne recommande pas pour l'hôtel lui-même.
