My wife and I spent the weekend in this very nice hotel. We brought our dog and there was no extra charge. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. A subway was only 100m away. We did not eat the breakfast, but there is a bakery right next door, and many little cafes and excellent restaurants in the area, which are not to expensive. Bei uns war leider der Fahrstuhl Defekt. Es musste also die Koffer in die 5 Etage getragen werden. Ansonsten sehr gute Lage zum Eigelturm nur 15 min zu fuß.

Wir waren als Paar unterwegs, vier Tage Städtereise Paris. Wir haben das Hotel im Internet gefunden, uns war die Nähe zur nächsten Metro wichtig und die Lage sollte zentral sein. Das Viertel, in dem das Hotel liegt, ist super. Bäckerei gleich ein Haus weiter (Wir haben ohne Frühstück gebucht.), viele kleine Restaurants, Supermarkt, Starbucks in der […] Nähe und der Eiffelturm ist zu Fuß in 20Min. zu erreichen. Metro ist ca. 300m zu Fuß, von da aus kommt man überall hin. Das Personal ist super nett, mit Englisch kommt man gut durch, teilweise sprechen die Angestellten auch Deutsch. Die Hotelzimmer sind in Ordnung. Hätten etwas sauberer sein können. Aber da wir nur zum Schlafen im Hotel waren, ging das schon. Die Zimmer an sich sind sehr klein, ist aber normal für Paris, Bad mit Dusche/WC, Föhn, Flachbildfernseher (nur französische Fernsehsender), Minikühlschrank, Safe. Unser Zimmer war im sechsten Stock, wir konnten vom Fenster aus den Eiffelturm sehen, vor allem nachts ein Traum, wenn er so schön beleuchtet ist und glitzert und funkelt. Uns hat Paris super gefallen, wir würden bei der nächsten Reise sofort wieder das Hotel buchen. Preis-Leistung-Lage total in Ordnung. Mehr

Durchschnittliches Mittelklassehotel in Paris. Kleines Zimmer, sauber (aber nicht porentief), sehr ruhige Lage. Waren im obersten Stock untergebracht, von daher rel. ruhig, könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass die Zimmer weiter unten sehr hellhörig sein könnten....

das hotel liegt in ruhiger lage. vom flughafen CDG fährt man zunächst 30 min mit der RER Bahn und muß dann anschließend mit der Metro 2x umsteigen um das hotel zu erreichen. der eiffelturm ist vom balkon aus zwar in naher sichtweite, dennoch muß man mind. je nachdem wo mann hin möchte, 6 metro stationen fahren. die linie 12 (grün) reicht meist aus / […] oder man wechselt 1bis 2x die linie und kann dann alles unkompliziert erreichen. die gegend an sich ist sauber. es gibt ein paar kleine geschäfte und restaurants. das für touristen interessante paris allerdings ist wie gesagt nur mit bus oder metro zu erreichen. das zimmer war, wie in frankreich üblich, sehr klein. die 3,5 sterne des hotels spiegelten sich in einrichtung und komfort wieder. das preis-leistungsverhältnis stimmte. mini-bar, neuer loewe flachbildschirm an wand montiert, zugang auf schmalen balkon, insgesammt aber sehr eng. das bad war sauber, handtücher wurden regelmäßig gewechselt. das reinigungspersonal arbeitete zwar gründlich, dennoch war die für unsere etage zuständige person sehr unbeholfen. beim bett-machen wurde eine brille versehentlich, welche auf dem nachttisch lag, zwischen matraze und lattenrost gewischt. nach mehrminütigem suchen haben wir die brille dann zum glück unversehrt gefunden. dies meldeten wir an der rezeption, die rezeptionsdame war sehr nett und erklärte uns das bus-system und den schnellsten weg zur tennis-anlage roland garros, (grund unserer reise). frühstück hatten wir keines mitgebucht. sehr gute Lage, in 2min bei der Metro Station, in 20min beim Eiffelturm zu Fuss. Service an der Reception den Tag durch sehr freundlich, die Nachtschicht liess etwas zu Wünschen übrig. Im Allgemeinen sehr empfehlenswert!! Restaurants, Supermarkt und Brasserien in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Room size includes the bathroom, so it turns out to feel smaller than what they announce. Might of also felt better about the stay if the elevator was working and wasn't surprised with the maintenance. Haven't stayed at any other hotel in Paris so I'm bias by rating upon other hotels I've stayed at and not by what is available in Paris. A block away […] from the metro, bus stop, and taxi stop. So if you want to go across paris quickly, the metro and bus is only a block away. Mehr

Loved staying here. Our room was small (which is normal for Paris) but it very clean and in good condition. We had a room on the fifth floor (the only floor with a balcony) with a view of the Eiffel tower which was nice. The only nitpick was that my wife didn't like the shampoo they provide. The staff were helpful and friendly they spoke both French […] and English. We bought our breakfast everyday at the bakery next door and ate it at one park about 50m from the hotel or another about 200m. The restaurant the hotel staff recommended called La Cap which is just around the corner was really really good. The metro was really close as well as a station for the rental bikes. There's a bank right next to the metro station if you need an ATM. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. Mehr

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Val Girard. We could see the Eiffel Tower from the front of the hotel, the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly and the rooms were really nice and clean with a very large bathroom which is a big plus in my book.

We stayed at the Hotel Val Girard for two nights at the end of March, and were absolutely delighted with the experience. We enjoyed the comfortable, spacious, well appointed rooms; large marble-tiled bathrooms with tub; and an amazing view through a floor-to-ceiling arched casement window of a quaint Paris street, with the Eiffel Tower to the left. […] The room was quiet and scrupulously clean. It was easy to get around the city with a metro station only two short blocks away. Above all, however, it was the excellent service that made our stay so enjoyable. The clerk at the front desk could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating - allowing us to keep our luggage in a safe room so that we could enjoy our final day in Paris unencumbered by our suitcases. I have often looked at glowing, personal reviews of hotels on websites such as this and wondered if the owners of the hotel posted them. Well, this is simply not the case here. The Hotel Val Girard is excellent quality at wonderfully reasonable rates. Mehr

This is a lovely little hotel, close to the metro station 'Vaugirard' and local boulangeries and patisseries. The only problem was that being so far South, it was a long trip to get up to Montmartre, but if you're up early enough it's not a big problem. The staff are helpful and always make you feel welcome even when your French is as bad as mine!

I stayed at Hotel Val Girard with my partner for a 3 night break at the beginning of November. The hotel was very easy to find from the Metro station and even though we arrived 2 hours before check in, they kindly found a room for us straight away. The hotel is very modern (apart from the lift) and clean. The room was absolutely lovely although a little […] compact. It is perfect for a few days but might be a bit cramped for a longer stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout and we throughly enjoyed our stay. You can see the Eiffel Tower from the road the hotel is on and we were lucky enough to be able to see it from our bedroom window too! If I had one complaint it would be that the lift is absolutely tiny - I mean really tiny! But apart from that no complaints. They also have a 24hr reception desk which was very convenient and an added bonus of free wifi! We would definitely be back! Mehr

Mostly happy with this hotel - recently renovated and it shows. Clean, modern rooms with flat screen TV's. Good location, less than 5 mins to Metro with good restaurants and cafes nearby, in addition to supermarkets and 2 local boulangeries for morning croissants. The view of the Eiffel tower from the front door of the hotel is an added bonus - you […] never forget where you are and how lucky you are to be there. Just one issue - it is a tall thin building, so noise does unfortunately carry between rooms and stairwells and we were woken by footsteps and pipe noises from above on 2 of the 3 mornings we were there. And by 2 cleaners shouting up and down the stairs on another morning - just shouldn't happen. Very disrespectful to guests. So - good hotel, but ask for a room on the top floor if you want to avoid noise from above. Mehr

The hotel is not far from the Metro Vaugiard enabling easy access to all parts of the city quickly. Location : out of the Metro, take the street to your right, down the side of the park, at the end turn left, then take a right and the hotel is in front of you, about three mminutes walk. It has a pleasant, up to date interior and very helpful, polite, […] english speaking staff. Nice rooms with aircon and comfy beds. Rooms at the front have a view to the left of the Eiffel Tower from where you can see the nightly light show - on the hour :) Convenient for the local bar just around the corner and an excellent restaurant, Le Cap, right by the underground carpark by the Hotel De Ville (it's closed on a Sunday night). The main road where the Metro is has bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shopping, along with a couple of bakeries nearer to the hotel. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Mehr

The hotel was about twenty minutes walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. The room was a double standard room and was very small. Pictures on line were very deceiving. Upon arrival the desk clerk offered to set up the taxi service for our return trip to the airport and charged us 15 euros to do this. Where you can do this on your own. Plus the taxi […] was a half hour late. Plus one evening while we were taking a nap the front desk clerk opened our room without knocking. When my husband went down to enquire , he couldn't give us an explanation, but just kept apologizing. Would not recommend to friends. Mehr

This hotel is truly a minute's walk from the metro (line 12) and is two stops from the Porte de Versaille. It is probably a 15-20 minute walk to the Eiffle Tower but with the Metro that close you can get to other sites easily. It is in a residential neighborhood so things are relatively quiet. We were greeted by Marie who was so helpful and considerate. All the staff was great and helped with restaraunt recommendations but Marie was over generous with her assistance and it was so appreciative to someone who does not speak fluent french. The room was small but we were not in it alot so it was enough room for two people. The bathroom was ample. […] Our room onthe 5th floor had a great view and opened to the street. The room was clean & fresh, size was normal for a Paris hotel room. Tea and coffee were refreshed daily. The view of the Eiffel tower was exactly as pictured in the hotel photos. The bakery on the corner & lovely, friendly cafe bar (lots of locals, lovely waiters who didn't mind my terrible french - particularly the gorgeous Matthieu!) at the other […] end of the street were both great. The only drawback of the hotel was the inconsiderate group of guests, banging doors, barging about and chatting loudly in the corridors from about 6 am. Fortunately this behaviour stopped after we challenged it, and the resulting quiet was bliss! Local transport and supermarkets were great, Paris was lovely. Tourists and queues were a nightmare - 'Hell is other people' as Sartre, buried in nearby Montparnasse cemetery, said! The 15th is a nice neighbourhood, good to get away from the crowds at the end of the day - safe clean streets and nice, friendly locals. But it helps, as a visitor, to be polite! Hotel Val Girard was adequate for our needs, but I feel a bit led astray by the positive reviews on Expedia and Trip Advisor. We weren't blown away by any aspect. We were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness of our room and with the fact that some unopened beer bottles disappeared when our room was cleaned one day, which we didn't appreciate. The front […] desk representatives were nice, but I didn't feel comfortable with the fact that we had to leave our key every time we went out and all you had to do was ask for your key at the desk to get it, which led me to have some concerns about the security of the hotel. The room itself was cute, but bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable. For my next visit to Paris, I will definitely choose another hotel, most likely one in a different neighbourhood as we had to use the metro every day to get to our destinations. Mehr

Hotel was very easy to find. Literally 2 minute walk from vaugirard tube station. very clean and staff extremely friendly and knowledgable. Keen to offer assistance and reccommendations. Only downside of accommodation was a dog that barked from 9am from the room next door (not sure what happened to it of a night time)! Lots of lovely places to eat particularly […] l'armagnes where we had a fantastic meal. Spectacular view of Eiffel tower at night. Took about 1/2 hour to wlak to it. Overall really impressed with hotel etc. Tube travel was no problem and don't be put off by some reviews of 15th arrondissment was perfectly fine. Mehr

This is a wonderful little hotel in a great location. Our experience was very good. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff were always helpful. Our standard room with a double bed was small but clean and very functional. The room was quiet with good AC. (As a note it is very well soundproofed for street noise, but you can hear people in the hall […] so keep that in mind when you come in at night.) You can walk to the Eiffel tower in about 20 minutes but there is also a metro stop right around the corner. (As well as a little park where we ate our breakfast pasteries every morning.) Also nearby is a grocery story where snacks and drinks are much less expensive than you will find near the tourist sites. I have no trouble at all recommending this hotel. This hotel was great, prefect location with nearby bakery, supermarket and metro. The staff were extremely helpful, we had been warned that the Parisians may be less friendly, however also found they were helpful, particularly the ticket man in the metro station. The rooms are a perfect size, queen size bed, contemporary interiors and cleaned well everyday. […] We had an amazing trip here and can't wait to return. The hotel is about 2 blocks from Metro. Have great view of the Eiffel Tower from room. Good location. There was a good bakery at the end of the block and within walking distance of a few restaurants. Bed is comfy. Has a small elevator big enough for luggage. Small room but very clean with good size bed. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
