"Praktische Lage"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 2. Feb. 2013Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr praktisch, da es am international Drive liegt. Man muss nur wenige Meter laufen und kann entweder mit dem normalen Bus oder mit den I-Ride nach Sea World oder Discovery Cove fahren. Auch vom Hotel aus werden teilweise kostenlose Shuttles zu den anderen Parks angeboten. Im Hotel selber kann man auch Tickets für alles mögliche erwerben. Zum Zimmer selber ist zu sagen, dass die Matratzen schon sehr durchgelegen waren und es somit unbequem war. Der gute Eindruck von Außen spiegelt sich in den Zimmern leider nicht wieder.

super zentral gelegen, outlets in 10 min, sea world 10min, universal 15min, disney 15min. Super sauber, klasse service, viele pools im sehr großen areal. aut empfohlen! Man sollte allerdings nicht an der Promotion Tour teilnehmen, da dies sehr zeitintensiv und eher nutzlos für europäer ist. "Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen!"
Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal im Westgate Resort und wieder vollkommen zufrieden! Ich glaube das spricht für sich. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und die gesamte Anlage sehr gepflegt. Da man in Orlando sowieso ein Auto braucht ist es auch kein Problem dass das Resort etwas außerhalb liegt. In wenigen Minuten ist man am International Drive oder in den […] verschiedenen Parks. "Das Westgate liegt ideal zum Besuch aller Parks"

"Umfrage-Verkaufs-Hotel"
Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar, alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Einzig fielen wir beim Check-in auf die Verkaufstour der Universal Studios rein, der Verkäufer lullte uns zu einer Super-Aktion inklusive Frühstück ein. Da wir unser Gehalt nicht offen legen wollte, haben sie uns dann aus dem Programm gekippt, da waren wir natürlich froh drum. "Hotel empfehlenswert, recht zentrale Lage."
Das Hotel liegt recht nahe an den Universal-Studios (ca. 15min.), Premium Outlets sind auch gleich in der Nähe. Das Resort eigene Restaurant ist für Frühstück und Abendessen zu empfehlen, normale Preise und gutes Essen. Was leider etwas störend war, war der Standort der Klimaanlagen. Wenn man abends noch ein wenig auf dem Balkon sitzen wollte, waren […] die Geräusche der Klimaanlagen doch recht störend (das Zimmer war im ersten Stock). Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber. "Not enough shuttle service!"
Although the room in general was nice, the fact that they only offered shuttle service 3 times in the morning and then only 3 return times all evening made my stay very inconvenient. I was there for the premiere hair show which was at the convention center, they provided no shuttle and although it was within a mile, it was across I4 which made walking […] impossible. They then said taxis would be readily available, however, each time I went to leave I had to wait. I wanted to go to City Walk, as it was included in the price of our show tickets, but again the only shuttle to Universal was between 9 and 11 in the morning only, and since I had been at the show all day, it wasn't until dinner time that I had time to go... I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel for anyone that needs easy access to the convention center. Also, I would not suggest this hotel if you are going to go to the theme parks as the cost of parking, taxi's and other transportation gets fairly spendy on a daily basis. It's very obvious that the rooms haven't received a major update since the mid 90's. it is quite over due. The annoying room service knock by a female employee using a pen and keys to knock on the door is quite unpleasant. "This hotel sucks"
If you have a car be prepared to park nowhere near your hotel room. There are no designated parking spots you have to look for parking like if you were at the mall. After a tired day at the parks, we got to the hotel and spent a hour looking for parking. We had to park about 2 miles away and walk. This hotel sucks!!Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

There were 3 different cleaning staffs knocking on my door asking me when I will be leaving. The first one started at 9am. The last one was at 10:45am. I told the first cleaning staff that I will be leaving at 11:00 am and even I had "Do not Disturb" sign on the door, the 2nd and the 3rd were still coming. (PS. the check out time is 11am). When I complained […] to the check-out staff, she did not even care and not even acknowledged. There is no saving staying the Westgate. They charged $11:50 for the resort fee. It sounds reasonable booking online but the total cost (including resort fee) has no saving at all. The layout and décor in the room are the same 20 years ago since last time I stayed there. "Great room in a great resort"
Our room was great. Spacious comfortable and clean. Even had a bidet and a huge in room jacuzzi for two. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. The landscaping and pools are beautiful. Couldn't find a nicer place. My only complaint is the pressure they try to put on you when you check in to listen to a sales pitch, but if you just refuse to hear it […] you can avoid it. when you opened the door that leads to either our room or neighbors room it smelt like a dog had been in there. that smell was not as strong in our room but it still stunk. we had to go to store anf buy air freshner to get it out. also the room next to us was very noisey and they were smoking pot all night and the next morning.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

The rooms is average, of course for the price is expected. Found that staff are not well educated, there is not much attention to the customer. However they do seemed trained to sale the time-share, I was paying for a room as a regular hotel but they tried to get me into going to one of their breakfast for 1 1/2 hours to hear their presentations. We have a great location, close the the theme parks, shopping and dining and offer many activities and a complimentary shuttle to the theme parks. We are very open that if a guest accepts a free breakfast, they are agreeing to a presentation. If a guest is not interested, they may decline and continue to enjoy the rental. We do not intend to make you feel uncomfortable. Regarding our staff, we have ongoing training and continue to review and update our policies and procedures with excellent customer service for our guests in mind. We absolutely loved everything about Westgate! The rooms were clean and modern. The pools were amazing and the staff was very friendly. We had a room that overlooked the lake and we could see the fireworks from Disney World from our private, screened on balcony!! "business/pleasure- congested place, sales pitch"
All in all for the price the place and amenities were nice. The 1st thing they did when we checked in was try to get us to come to a free breakfast so they could try to sell us a timeshare. Then when my fiancé showed up for it without me they wouldn't give her breakfast or conduct the sales pitch. I had to work 3 of the days at a convention at a WDW […] resort so the trip was part business and part pleasure. The traffic (mainly golf carts) in the complex was often congested and annoying to get in and out. The location was convenient to WDW, West Lake Blvd, and International Blvd. which was good. The rooms were nice but VERY THIN WALLS ad noisy. HOUSEKEEPING was GREAT for the most part. I would consider staying again here but also likely look into hotels on International blvd 1st to see if I could find something comparable. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
