Von meinen 3 Übernachtungen gab es an 2 Tagen kein warmes Wasser und die Zimmerreinigung erfolgte nur einen über den anderen Tag. Der Zustand des Hotels ist heruntergekommen und Renovierungsbedürftig. Die Einstufung "nicht empfehlenswert" ist schon eine Auszeichnung. U.R.

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa Universal Studios Area ist familienfreundlich. diese Wohnanlage mit Ferienwohnungen liegt in Orlando, Sea World - Convention Center, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Orange County Convention Center, SeaWorld Orlando und Wonderworks. Aquatica und Discovery Cove befinden sich ebenfalls in Nähe.

Die Unterkunft Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa Universal Studios Area verfügt über folgende Annehmlichkeiten:Wellnesscenter, Yachthafen vor Ort, 7 Außenpools und 7 Whirlpools. "Das Westgate liegt ideal zum Besuch aller Parks"
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Es ist jedoch etwas hellhoerig. Da es in erster Linie ein Timesharing-Resort ist, muss sich der "normale" Gast auf einige Gebuehren einstellen, z.B. fuer die Nutzung des Fitnessraums.

"Umfrage-Verkaufs-Hotel"
Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar, alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Einzig fielen wir beim Check-in auf die Verkaufstour der Universal Studios rein, der Verkäufer lullte uns zu einer Super-Aktion inklusive Frühstück ein. Da wir unser Gehalt nicht offen legen wollte, haben sie uns dann aus dem Programm gekippt, da waren wir natürlich froh drum. "Hotel empfehlenswert, recht zentrale Lage."
Das Hotel liegt recht nahe an den Universal-Studios (ca. 15min.), Premium Outlets sind auch gleich in der Nähe. Das Resort eigene Restaurant ist für Frühstück und Abendessen zu empfehlen, normale Preise und gutes Essen. Was leider etwas störend war, war der Standort der Klimaanlagen. Wenn man abends noch ein wenig auf dem Balkon sitzen wollte, waren […] die Geräusche der Klimaanlagen doch recht störend (das Zimmer war im ersten Stock). Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber. was told 500 yards from convention center it was 3 miles away. eztra charges added on not told on phone. they should be upfront on all cost.
The hotel was very nice. Traffic was not so nice. You have to make a lot of you turns to get where your going and it's very busy!

"Comfortable and friendly"
We only stayed here for a weekend and we don't have small children. But found the room to be of ample size and very comfortable. The screened inarching was great and it overlooked a lake. Easy to get to I-4. Several restaurants with room delivery made it very convenient.

I got this hotel at a very low price and I honestly expected the images online not to match the actual room at all. To my surprise the rooms were VERY nice and exactly how it was displayed online.

Stay away. Far away. Hotels.com had a 4 star guest rating, but in reality this place is a 4,000 room nightmare built in 1984. Rooms do not seem to be updated since then. one point - although severely dated, the room was generally clean. The bedspread and threadbare sheets were clean, but probably 30 yrs old. The room was hot and musty. There is NO Parking! […] Had to park 4 buildings over and jockey for the only remaining spot, and walk through parking areas with "questionable activities" taking place. Seems like a gang hangout. I was worried my car would be broken into all night. They hit you with a $11 "resort fee" that is BARELY listed on the Hotels.com (fine print, ok...not cool) this is unacceptable. The very worst part is the staff - Check in is a frustrating cluster. It took 30 mins to check in. The staff was nice but clueless. The buldings are hard to navigate to. This place is 1* at best. Rooms were very clean, bed comfortable, plenty of pillows and great location. The resort seemed to have everything you might need on site - groceries, photo shop, restaurant, deli shop, bikes to rent, volleyball, pools and game room. No shuttle to convention center even though we were told there was. Unexpected resort fees even though we werent using them, but they charged us anyway. Website says it is less than a mile to the convention cener but didnt say it was by going across an interstate with no access, so had to go 4 miles to get there. You can hear every noise in the halls and only one gate to enter late. Traffic backs up. Bedrooms don't get dark and the couch is more comfortable then the bed.

"A few hidden charges at Westgate"
Yes the resort was a little out dated with the furniture but everything was is good condition and good working order. When you arrive remember this is a resort (time share) not a hotel, you will accure a ammenity fee, this fee is to keep up the extras like paddle boats, tennis courts, and miniture golf course that you are able to use for free because […] of paying the fee . The hotel was very nice. The check out time was too early. I paid for a room over the phone, which I had my hopes set on. Once I got to the room, it was not the room I thought I was paying for. I had to settle for a lesser quality room.

I was attending a convention; the convention center was very close but you CANNOT walk there and cab took 15 minutes because of freeway set up...weak but the price made up for that. Room was fine, MUCH more room than i needed (not to mention full kitchen washing machine, microwave, etc.). Great for families, wasted on me. Comfortable and clean, good […] value. Negative is how spread out the resort is...there are 9-11 different buildings, it's like a small town. Pools are not nearby many (my) unit. In other words, not a good business hotel, lacked efficiency and I was paying for things i didn't need but for leisure i would recommend it. Mehr
Hotel was beautiful, and room was nice. I was supposed to get a Jacuzzi room and didn't, that was a bummer. It took a half hour for check in when I did everything online prior to my arrival. We called for the front desk to get us a cab they said 15 minutes 45 minutes later we got a shuttle to the front and four cabs were just sitting there. And every […] time we called the front desk or vip we were transferred to a different operator like no one knew anything. Even on just a simple call likes where is pool located she said not sure when there are 7 pools on property. "NOT WORTH IT! Looks can be deceiving..."
This hotel is SO big that you have to get a shuttle bus just to get to the restaurant = annoying This hotel IS NOT 0.6 miles from the Convention Center as advertised. That is using GPS maps assuming a direct road to the cc. I thought I could walk. Instead it's a $15 cab ride each way b/c there's a highway in between! This hotel's rooms are VERY dated. […] Old, musty, 1970's style More importantly, I set a wake-up call with the front desk on my last night in order to catch an early flight, and NO WAKEUP CALL! I obviously complained to the manager on call and he said this had happened 3 other times recently so he was going to look into it. 3 other times??? Wakeup calls are the ultimate in representing whether a hotel is professional or not...definitely NOT with this hotel. We went to Orlando for my daughters birthday and brought freinds with their children, also. It was the only place able to accomodate 13 of us. 6 adults and 7 children in one 3 bedroom condo type room w/ full kitchen and 1 large jacuzzi in one king room and a single jacuzzi n the 2nd king room and the 3rd bedroom had two full size beds. There was a nice […] big balcony off The living room and the one bedroom. We did not really get to enjoy the ammeneties as much because we went to universal studios. The only down sides for me was we went in an Rv and the security guards at the front were not friendly or helpful or understanding. The beds were a little to hard for my liking and the rooms had coffee makers but no coffee. Mehr
