Marriott's BeachPlace Towers - Fort Lauderdale

Wir wollten ursprünglich ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, bekamen aber eines auf der anderen Seite und muss sagen Gott sei Dank. Wir hatten nähmlich einen wunderschönen Blick vom 15. Stock aus, auf die Towntown Ft. Lauderdales und die davor liegenden Kanäle. Bei einem Fläschchen Bier vom Balkon aus konnte gemütlich relaxenund das umherfahren der Boote und […] Schiffe beobachten. Jede Menge Bars und Restaurants sin in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Ein kleines Manko im Hotel: nur 4 Lifte für 18 Stockwerke. Kann zu längeren Wartezeiten führen. leider ist die zufahrt zum Hotel nicht auf anhib zu finden. Auch fehlen Schilder mit einer Zufahrt zum hotel. Wenn man es dann gefunden hat klaptt alles reibungslos. Toller Service, schöne und saubere zimmer..

Enjoyed it very much. Location is great, across from the beach and close to restaurants. Very clean with pots, pans, dishes, etc. provided for cooking and eating. All appliances in working condition.

We stayed four nights with three kids, ages 9-14. This was the perfect location. Across the street from the beach. Many restaurants within walking distance. We didn't need to drive anywhere once we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

w2as there over the Thrusday and friday night of both the FT Lauderdale boat show and TS Sandy. The staff acted like they were doing us some huge favor taking our money x2 rooms. The keys didnt work on more than one occassion plus they checked us out on friday night when we had reservations. The hotel was in a very confusing location. Lobby was on the 4th floor of an older shopping plaza. To find the hotel we had to call and ask directions even though we had a GPS. Overall, it was generally satisfactory. The entrance is inconvenient. I'm not sure if we ever actually found the main entrance to the hotel as the signage was very poor. We were dropped off and had to lug our suitcases through the parking garage by foot b/c it otherwise it seemed we'd have to pay $3 just to be dropped close to the entrance (in the garage) […] Also, they do not offer rollaways and are frugal on the late checkout. My stay was okay. The overall cleanliness of my room was pretty good, except for the hair in the bathroom and the bar of soap on the floor left by a previous guest. The noise from construction was irritating, especially since I was trying to study for my final exam while relaxing for my birthday.

We went as a family and although the night life is more for adults only, the hotel has a lot of family day time activities and there is lots to do around the hotel. So our family trip was still tons of fun!

My family and I had an awesome time! The hotel is on a fantastic spot near everything, aross the street from a beautiful beach and, within walking distance to several restaurants and stores. We were on the 11th floor with view to the marina....fantastic! The fireworks on the 4th of July were set up in front of the hotel so we had VIP view from the pool […] deck. Our group consisted of seniors, adults, teenagers, kids/babies and every one had a great time. The only "bad" thing we have to say about this hotel is that it needs an update on the elevators service. Usually we would wait 5 to 15 mins for an elevator but on our check out day we waited 47 mins to get into one. Other than this, everything else was absolutely great! Mehr

This hotel is in a great location! There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance. You do not need to take a taxi anywhere if you stay here. There is also a CVS in case you are in need of OTC items. The hotel is right across from the beach. The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride to/from the airport and cruise pier. Cab fare from the airport […] to the hotel was $25 for 6 people. Not bad! We went during spring break, so there was a lot of college kids, but the hotel did a great job keeping them calm, and the hotel was clean at all times. I would definately stay here again. Everyone was very accomodating-- professional and friendly staff. Clean facilities. Only downside was that during our stay, one of the elevators were down-- they don't let you extend your check out time of 10:00am, therefore at 10 am -- it seemed like everyone in the hotel was waiting and packing up the workign elevators. 20 minute wait to get down […] to the lobby. Great hotel with great clean big room. Had villa condo room. Comfortable big bed. Had 19th floor sea view room overlooking Ritz penthouse next door which made you feel superior. Staff very helpful. Pool warm for odd cloudy/cool day. Position very central for everything - right opposite the beautiful beach and other rooms had great view of intercoastal […] waterway. Bus opposite gets you most places and water taxi behind hotel gives you great trip to see lit night time view of life on the river - a must do. Don't really need car if you don't plan to move round too much. Bars outside hotel for night life and drinking and Sonic snack bar downstairs for good cheap burgers, burritos, hot dogs and 99cent beer if you want fast food. Mehr

Right on the beach, friendliest staff I have ever seen, most competent staff I have ever seen. We had some special needs, and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. I would stay here again and again! The room darkening curtains are just that - total darkness (thanks to the valance at the top that includes a cornice!), the views are spectacular […] from every room, and the kitchen is fantastic. The washer/dryer was so convenient (right in the kitchen) and the surrounding neighborhood was filled with great stuff to do and places to eat within walking distance. WE enjoyed or stay at the Marriott beach Place but the elevator is very busy and it is always a long wait to get an elevator which is the only way to get up and down. The parking garage was also a pain, had to park on a higher floor for the hotel parking which made it not so easy to come and go. The conditions of the hotels are good, overall, as well as the service. The only off thing was that it does not have a standard reception: you either have to drive 5 levels and be dropped off in the parking garage or go in through the service entrance and take the elevator to the 5th floor, which is where the reception area is. We had a one-bedroom "villa" with full kitchen, jacuzzi, additional sink outside the bathroom (I think it is described as a two-bath room), and a balcony. Everything was very nice, the bed was comfortable, cleaning was adequate. Kitchen includes really everything you can think of, from huge fridge to dishwasher, as well as washer and dryer. Location […] is also very convenient. It is across the street from the beach, but the incoming cars are supposed to stop, and actually do so, if you cross at one of the numerous crosswalks. The beach is kind of narrow and busy if you walk to the left from the hotel, but wide and almost empty if you walk to the right. Several nice restaurants at a walking distance (definitely recommend cafe Casablanca, it is a little pricy, but the food is very-very good), CVS pharmacy right near the hotel entrance. The only really annoying thing was the parking. They charge 14$ per night, which is reasonable for the area, but you have to park at levels 4 or 5, and it take about 10 minutes to get up their, or down. We had a room on the 11th floor, overlooking the intercoastal and the city; watched Sun setting over Ft Lauderdale downtown every night, it was nice. The balcony feels empty, and the outside furniture is very basic, but it is there so you can have dinner on your balcony watching sunset. In retrospective, it was a huge bang for the buck. If you ignore their attempts to make you join this "vacation club", and parking - it was a pleasant stay. Mehr

I stayed overnight here to be close to a customer in Oxnard. It was close enough to the Ventura Harbor area where there are some decent seafood places and it it right off the 101. One thing I didn't agree with was they charge for overnight parking in an area that has no threat of non-hotel guests occupying the lot. Yes it is a full service Marritot […] and you should expect to pay a premium because of that but pn principle this is seems to be uneccessarily excessive and I don't see how it is justified. Mehr

This is the lowest-end Marriott I've stayed in, (the rooms and look of the hotel are more in line with a Best Western) but you cannot beat the location. It is right in the mix of everything Fort Lauderdale Beach has to offer.

This hotel property is in a great location with the beach across the street and Cafe Del Mar (great spot) right next door. They have serious television reception issues though. The Direct TV was down 80% of the time during my five day stay. No catching up on the news or watching a ball game while getting ready to go out.

The location in beach place can't be beat if you have plans to go out in the area. The one bedroom suite it very large with a full kitchen balcony and bedroom. Plenty of room. Please note they do not have rooms with 2 double beds for the suites, only one bed plus sofa bed...this wasn't clear when reserving. Parking garage takes forever just to get up […] to P4 where you have to check in, is $14 day and then u have to go back out to the car to put a card on your dashboard so they don't tow. There is no room service and the front desk staff was slow and not really helpful. Mehr

We go to Fort Lauderdale every summer. Absolutely love it there. For the last 2 years we have stayed in a suit at Beach Place. It's a perfect location and you will be hard pressed to find more bang for your buck elsewhere. Top notch service at a reasonable price.

My family has been going to Fort Lauderdale now for over 30 some years and we've stayed at the Marriott Beach Place either as a Hotel Stay or an Exchange member for the last 9 or so years. The location is prime with really no need for a car to reach anything you may need. But if you do need a car their parking prices compared to the W and Hilton are […] about $6 cheaper a day. Hotel is always clean, rooms views are great - we always ask for the Intercoastal because we love to watch the yachts go through the waterways, and then at night at least we have the city to look at an not a pitch black ocean. We love having a full kitchen in the 1 Bedroom suite so we can save on restaurant charges for every meal. Also the option to have drinks Before we go to dinner. We love this hotel, the Location and of Course Fort Lauderdale and will always return. We realize we could pay less and stay at a hotel but prefer to stay at more than just a hotel. Mehr
