Bilmar Beach Resort - Treasure Island

Zimmer mit Meerblick war sehr praktisch eingerichtet und sauber.Der Pool ist von mehreren Gebäuden umgeben,abgegrenzt und genügend Liegen bzw.Sitzgruppen vorhanden.Leider war der Salat, den wir in bazzy's bar gegessen haben, von sehr schlechter Qualität.Wir haben reklamiert und dabei den Eindruck gewonnen, dass wir keine Ausnahme sind.Dort kann man […] auch frühstücken,aber ich würde abraten.Das andere Lokal im Hauptgebäude kann ich empfehlen.Dort haben wir gut gegessen.Da kein Frühstück vom Hotel angeboten wird,kann ich auch den Publix ( Supermarkt) etwa 150m entfernt empfehlen.Parken vor der Hotelanlage.Kurze Wege nach St. Petersburg. Sehr schön am Strand gelegen; etwas enge Zimmer

Super Hotel mit super Lage zum Strand und toller Blick, wenn man ein Zimmer mit Merrblick gebucht hat. Würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon mit Blick auf den super Strand und den Pool. Einfach genial der Blick auf den riesigen Strand und abends auf den Sonnenuntergang. Der Starnd war im Juli auch nicht überfüllt. Das Lokal Sloppy Joe ist gelich am Hotel, mit sehr gutem Essen und leckeren Cocktails. Der Supermarkt ist gleich gegenüber sowie der Surf Shop und […] Jet Ski Rental. Wir hatten mit den Kindern(10 und 12) eine tolle Zeit auf Treasure Island. Hotel direkt am Strand; saubere, gepflegte Zimmer, was man vom Rest des Hotels nicht gerade behaupten kann, sehr schmuddlige Gänge und Flure, zum Teil lautes Partypublikum am Wochenende; das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Strand, die meisten Zimmer haben Meerblick, auf der Landseite befindet sich jedoch eine verkehrsreiche Straßenkreuzung. Die beiden Pools […] sind überbevölkert und schlicht zu klein, das Wasser trübe. Sehr freundlich ist das Team an der Rezeption, die auch einen Zimmerwechsel, unser erstes Zimmer lag direkt über den Ventilatoren des vor dem Hotel gelegenen Restaurants. Das Hotel hat eine überagende Lage direkt am Strand und die Sonnenuntergänge sind nicht zu übertreffen. Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub direkt am Strand mag, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe, wenn man jedoch viel Erleben will, muss man Auto fahren. Restaurant und Bar mit Zimmerservice sind direkt im Hotel. Und […] obwohl wir im Dez/Jan dort waren, war auch das Wetter toll. Natürlich sollte man die Ellenton Outletmall besuchen, die etwa 45 Autofahrt über die Skyline Bridge erreichbar ist. WIr haben bei unserer Florida Rundreise einige Tage im Bilmar Beach Resort verbracht. Das Gulf Front Efficiency zu buchen hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Grosses Zimmer mit tollem privatem Balkon und Blick auf's Meer. Küche mit allem drum und dran, sowie ein abgetrenntes Badezimmer. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und auch das kostenlose W-LAN hat immer […] funktioniert. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel am wunderschönen, weissen Strand von Treasure Island buchen. Das Hotel liegt am traumhaften weissen Strand von Treasure Island mit seinen grandiosen Sonnenuntergängen. Die Zimmer mit Meersicht sind mit karibisch bunten Bettdecken und in ihrer Grösse gegenüber anderen Hotelzimmern im Vorteil und laden zum längeren Verbleiben ein.

Our stay at the Bilmar was wonderful! We had everything we needed to have a beautiful, beach wedding and family vacation.

We had a lovely three days, wished we could have afforded more. Everything just as we remembered from last year, right on the beach, near supermarket etc. Everything immaculate, beach just outside our door cleaned daily.

Of all the places we've stayed in Florida, this continues to be our favorite. In fact, we just returned from our 3rd stay in a year. We love that it has a casual atmosphere, but the food, beach and rooms are better than many of the high-end resorts. We saw dolphins every day. The proximity to John's Pass and St. Petersburg provides lots of things to […] do if you have a couple hours, or a whole day. Best of all, everyone from the front desk and cleaning staff to Bazzie's Beach Bar and Sloppy Joe's--is friendly and do what they can to make our stay wonderful. Overall it was ok. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Upon checkout there were no luggage carriers available. They only have 3 or 4 for the entire resort. Really!!!!

Our stay was great. Already thinking about going back next year.

Our room was nice, but right over the pool.. really just would of been nice to see the ocean. The tower rooms weren't as nice as the other rooms. My folks stayed in the three story section and their room was much nicer. Bed was comfy and the front desk was super sweet.

The BilmarThe hotel is a great getaway. Right on the beach and parking is convenient. The efficiencies are perfect way for a small family with younger kids to stay for a short or long period of time. Our room was ready early too and we were able to upgrade too! They have a cold pool and a well heated pool! Would recommend this to anyone!

Briight yellow hotel, looks vwey 50's-ish. Room was clean, breakfaast was good but service slow. The beach was immaculate. Pools were clean and the water perfect. The sangria was Mmmmm...

Beautiful resort with wonderful Gulf views. Staff friendly and very helpful. We mistakenly reserved a room without a balcony. Front desk staff was so helpful in getting us one to our complete satisfaction. Beautifully decorated in cheery Fla colors and so well located.

nice place to stay and may stay there again next year on spring break. Would reccommend to friends.

The Bilmar Resort is a casual beachy resort right on the Gulf. The beach is beautiful. We had our own car but it is a perfect hotel if one flew in and took a shuttle to the resort. There are trolleys and free ride vehicles that run along Gulf Blvd. There is a grocery and drug store, as well as a McDonalds and Waffle House, within a few blocks. There […] are numerous shops and restaurants within close proximity also. Our room was spacious and had been updated recently. The bathroom was well appointed, but small. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bedding was soft and in good repair. Housekeeping was weak. The beds were made and towels replaced, but we had to call the front desk three times for soap. The shampoo and facial tissues were allowed to run out and were not replaced either. The sink and soap dish were not cleaned until I complained to the front desk. They acted on my complaints promptly, but there seemed to be a disconnect between the front desk and housekeeping manager. We travelled with two teenagers. It is a good hotel for families. We stayed at Bilmar in March 2012, the place is a retro design, but very up to date. Nice pools, beautiful spot on the beach and the fact that it has two places to grab a drink or snack while looking out at the gulf negates any need to drive anywhere. Great place to stay right on the beach! Room was clean, odorfree and had everything that was promised in the description at time of booking. There is a nice restaurant on site - two actually, drugstore right across the street and a grocery store one block away. We couldn't have a better time

Great beach, great balcony views, pools, close to everthing, an efficiency if you don't feel like dining out. What more could you ask for?

Location on the beach is great

Well we stay usually on St. Pete beach usually at the sirata or tradewinds, but they are getting over priced so we decided to try the Bilmar! After check in we had some minor issues in the room, we called the front desk and the supervisor moved us right away with no questions asked. They accomidated every need and were so kind and helpful. The location […] was prime and the hotel was super nice for the price! no parking fee, no internet fees! We have two kids and they loved everything as well. Lovely area....right on the beach. It was a very nice stay. Everyone was very accommodating. Would go back.

My husband, son, age 13 and myself stayed at this resort for 3 days in March. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a golf side efficiency unit. It was wonderful. The room was well appointed and very clean. Views of the ocean were beautiful. It could have used a dishwasher but other than that it was ideal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff were awesome, especially Shauna. They were very friendly and always available to help with questions and any other needs. The rooms and the entire resort was very clean. The pools and hot tub were also very clean and relaxing with many lounge chairs available. A food and drink area were located right next to the pool. The staff was so helpful. The pools clean and the stay was one of the best I have ever had. We ask to change our room because it was over the pool and We needed much rest. The staff was so kind and gave us a wonderful room . Thank you.

Location is great. Had a beautiful Gulf view. Beautiful large beach. Had Sloppy Joes attached to hotel. Food was good at Sloppy Joes and drinks were great. Was troubled by lack of maid service. Did not change bed linen until I snagged a maid and asked for it. Bathroom is small and had a running toilet that we constantly had to adjust. Beds were comfy. […] Needs a makeup area. Mehr

We were not sure what to expect..we loved it and would stay again. The staff was great and both the service and the food at the restaurants were fantastic! Can't wait to go back!

We were there for the President's Day weekend. When we got to the room, we noticed an odor. The entire bathroom smelled of urine. It was extremely nauseating! I asked the front desk to have it cleaned again - 3 times! It still smelled. Finally I asked them to replace the shower curtain. This took care of about 90% of the smell. I think the only way […] to get rid of the entire smell would have been to paint the walls!!! The hotel would not do anything to accomodate our disruption, displeasure, inconvenience, etc.! Very clean boutique hotel. Pool area was outstanding. Staff very friendly. Only negative although on the beach a long walk to the water. Clean clean clean

The folks running the place were so nice. The head chef even arranged for the preparation of fish my friends caught the day before on short notice. Heather at the front desk was very helpful and suggested places for us to visit. This was a guys trip and we asked her to play a joke on one of the guys in our group. She was a great sport to put up with […] us. The rooms are comfortable. I stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the ocean. If anything could improve, its the water pressure for the shower. The bathroom although clean and modern is sort of small, but that is how bathrooms used to be. It would take a lot of work to change that, but it really isn't necessary. Includes a safe, fridge, and microwave. Food options are great and the locale to other food and drink establishments is excellent. Mehr

Second visit since 2004. Improvements and upgrades noted. Staff low key, not in your face. Do what you like when you like. Rickey T biker bar across the street lots of fun. Bazzies and sloppy Joes have a variety of tasty food. Beach events too, like drumming , kite flying and rock scaling. Not to many kids. I will be back. Stewart M

Great locaion. Resturants all around and easy to get to. We have stayed here before and will come back again. Staff was very friendly and helpfull.

An older hotel on the exterior, it is a bit deceiving. As soon as we opened the door (nearing sunset) we were blown away with the beautiful view of the beach and water. I loved this place, and all the staff were very friendly and actually went out of their way to make sure our every need was met. The only negative was the amount of overly intoxicated […] people in the area. We never heard a peep while we were in the room or on the balcony, but when you went outside, it seemed like everybody was fall down drunk. I would recommend a place a little farther from the bars if you want peace outside the room, but we rarely left because the room and balcony were so great, as was the food from sloppy joes that delivered right to the room. Staff were very friendly. The view from the room was great. The room was fairly small and not the most comfortable for relaxing. If it's just a place to sleep at night then it's good. Bathroom was tiny.

Wasn't well maintained and clean.but the beach was nice and location.

There was only one problem with our stay at the Bilmar -it was too short. We were in the area to visit family and decided to stay on the beach. We had never been to Treasure Island and we feel it is a treasure and will most certainly be back. From the time we arrived at the Bilmar to check-in (we were given a complimentary upgrade on our room) to the […] moment we checked out, we had nothing but a great experience. The staff was great and very helpful, our room was clean and met all our needs, Sloppy Joes was a great place to eat, as well as being in walking distance to many other options. We are already planning another visit and will book the Bilmar again. We have stayed in some supposedly "really nice" resorts and the Bilmar was one of the best. It may not have been the "fanciest" but it was one of the most comfortable and satisfying places we have ever stayed. Mehr

Great location wonderful beach. Room was recently renovated and attractive. Attached bar, Sloppy Joes, was a fun place great food at reasonable prices.
