Divi is a very nice location for a beach holiday. The temperature of the water in April was perfect and the beach is very nice. The snorkeling is also sufficient to keep the family happy. One can spend hours in the water. The room is right at the beach and the towel service is very good. The restaurant is a little overpriced. The setting was good -- on the beach -- and the room was decent and cheerfully decorated. We had a problem: the faucet fell out of the wall when I went to take a shower. The staff was slow to answer the phone (we called 5 people and let it ring) but when we finally got someone they quickly moved us to another room. Unfortunately it had no hot water. […] Food options were limited -- fine for a one-night stay, but I would have quickly bored had I been eating on premises for longer. Mehr

Friends stayed here so we decided to try it. It could have been a great experience, but the night after we arrived, the ceiling in our bathroom right above the toilet and next to the light fixture began to leak. Water was also on the hall wall next to the light switch. Tried to call the desk,line was full of static and number for the front desk on the […] phone was not correct number. Three different service people were sent to address the problem and the leak stopped for a time. Began to leak again,dripping on our heads and shoulders. Room was smelling like a sewer. Now the phone did not work at all. Had to keep running out to the desk. They hadn't fixed the leak by our last night. We were there from Sunday thru Saturday. Our last night. manager told us to pack and move to another room. She was uninterested in our convenience or in making any concessions for us. Sandra should be removed as manager. We finally went to another room and called the General manager who SOUNDED sympathetic----his concession for our inconvenience was to reduce our bill by $100. Mehr

great location, only a mile from Phillipsburg. Nice beach with chairs, umbrellas, and places to eat. Great pools. The only downside was the condition of the bathroom. Just alittle worn, but very usable. Great balcony views from every room. Definitely would stay there again. Wifi is not free.

Had a very pleasant week at the Divi Little Bay Resort. The spacious room had a fully equipped kitchen so we were able to prepare ourselves breakfast . The swimming pool next to the room was another added bonus even though the beach was only a minute stroll from the room. The wait staff at the bar/ restaurant were very pleasant.

Good pricing.

Having read the reviews on a few websites, We arrived at DIVI Little Bay with low expectations only to be blown away. We spent one night there before our cruise left but enjoyed it so much that decided to return for a day after our cruise returned. Service at the front desk was professional and quick. The room we stayed in was one of the nicest rooms […] I have ever been in. Granite counters in the kitchenette, king size bed, big balcony overlooking ocean, huge bathroom with 2 person Jacuzzi tub and full shower. Very nicely decorated. It was great after a long flight. DIVI Little Bay has a few small pools tucked into little corners of the property with stunning views making this big resort seem cozy and relaxing. We were there during the trade winds so with the resort being on the leeward side of the island it made beach going very pleasurable. The food was excellent at both restaurants/bars. Gizmos bar makes some of the best pizza and pain killers we’ve had. Excellent service from the water sports staff. Snorkeling was excellent. We didn't venture outside the resort but never felt a need to. It is only a 10 min walk to Great bay Beach. I wish we could have stayed a few more days and we will stay there again. Mehr

Great location, private, terrific snorkeling just outside our door! The main restaurant is undergoing renovations, but the other cafe is acceptable: on scale of 1(worst) to 10(best), it's a 10 on location, but a 6 on quality. Wait staff is friendly and food is served surprisingly faster than expected. It's close (we walked) to Philipsburg without the […] obnoxious crowds of P'burg. Room has kitchenette, HBO, WIFI (you pay by the day or week), and, jackpot!--a jacuzzi tub. I shopped well and got a "last minute deal," so value-to-cost ratio was outstanding. Downside: deferred maintenance threatens overall quality if not soon attended. Mold and missing paint on our front door; sliding glass doors jammed and had jury rigged lock; torn screen door...nothing major, but beginning to look "tired." Also, Sea Breeze outdoor cafe plays loud live music nightly until 9pm, and plays recorded music all day. I'd rather listen to nature: lapping waves, dancing palm trees, birds, laughter. Overall: excellent value and would highly recommend, especially to snorkelers. Mehr

The service at this hotel was HORRIBLE! I would not recommend this hotel to others. The concierge was rude and extremely unhelpful. The one thing I can say, is that their rudeness was not personal; every guest that I witnessed was treated just as rude. They also have stray dogs on the site.

It would have been 100% perfect were it not for a non-working internet for part of our stay but we were refunded. Great staff, dedicated and friendly, good location and amenities. The restaurant's food was absolutely fine and so were the drinks. My family and I will definitely return.

We were Staying one night before boarding a yacht the next day and it was the perfect place to stay. It was clean and safe. My only complaint was that they had no room service, despite what the menu stated. It left me unable to eat as the children were in bed and I was unwilling to leave the room. Hard to believe how little you get for so much. This is mostly a time share resort. Other choices should be selected. We would rate this hotel as one of the worst we have stayed in during many years of taking vacations all over the world. We recommend you go elsewhere!

We had some problems the first day, but the management quickly solved them all. Our stay there was very enjoyable. The activities we did through the Resort were very good. The resort employees we interacted with very very friendly and helpful.

Our hotel room was right on the beach with the water only steps away. It was a fine resort close to Phillipsburg, but not walking distance. The staff was helpful and friendly, but it was too bad that the main dining room was closed for renovations. The beach bar restaurants were not a bad substitute. The resort was very nice and well maintaned. We felt very safe in the area. The food is over priced and service is slow but they do have a good happy hour. I would recommend Little Divi Resort.

Our family stayed for two nights at Divi Bay in St Maarten before checking into our timeshare over in Maho Bay. Divi Bay is a beautiful property right on the beach and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking Little Bay, and was just a few steps away from the beach. The beach is really beautiful, and the ocean is very […] calm there. There is a beach bar that serves food, we did not eat there, but I loved their guavaberry colada! Certain nights they do karaoke there, which was fun to watch. We did eat at the onsite restaurant for breakfast one day and not too impressed with the food, but maybe lunch and dinner are better. There is a water sports shop on site which was convenient for renting snorkel gear, and there is an area off to the left of Little Bay that I did a little snorkeling in and saw some fish. I probably would have seen more if I'd gone further out, but I was alone and wanted to stay close to shore. It was really nice to be able to snorkel right there at the resort though. You can also rent the Jet Skis right there on the beach. We also used one of the pools, and enjoyed the poolside bar where we could order lunch and drinks, which were delicious! Divi Bay is very close to the shopping in Philipsburg, my husband and sister in law actually walked there from the resort one time, I think it took them about 20 or 30 minutes, if that. There is also a little store there for basic items like milk, sodas, snacks, drugstore type items, which was convenient. The resort also has an onsite activities office to help with booking activities, but we did not use it as we were only there two days. My only negative comment is that when we checked in, which was around 8:00 Friday evening, the desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming which does not make a good first impression. We enjoyed our stay - though we did not feel like the pools were not taken care of correctly - the water was partially green. We enjoyed snorkeling, the restaurants and the closeness to the ocean.

We stayed at this property for one night after a week on Anguilla and chose it specifically for it's location to shopping given our short time on the island. We had stayed on St. Maarten for a week in a time share last year and definitely had a certain expectation for the accomodations. While the resort itself boasts many ammenities (which we did not […] use but did see others using), the room we had (king, beachfront) was VERY outdated and in serious need of a facelift. Had we been staying for more than one night, it would have been a huge disappointment. As far as location and opportunities to access downtown Philipsburg, Divi Little Bay is in a good location and you could walk to shopping if you are up for a little exercise. I had heard such great things about this property and was really stunned to see worn furniture, enamel coming off the tub, and rust on metal accessories. However, the staff I encountered were quite pleasant and helpful, and Gizmo joined us for lunch when we arrived. What a hoot! Everything was pretty clean but the air conditioning smelled a touch musty. If you are particular about your accommodations, I am not sure I would recommend this property for an extended stay. Mehr

Clean comfortable rooms with awesome views of the bays. Nice friendly people. Full range of facilities and activities. Great location on a peninsula. It can be a little tough to get in the entry due to the odd angle of the driveway to the main road. We would stay here again and definitely recommend to friends.

The hotel is run down with poor customer service and deplorable maintenance. It was a big disappointment and please do not let the pictures fool you.

Service was average. Some staff were excellent but others had no idea of customer service. The weekend breakfast chef kept telling us that we were getting out order wrong. He would argue with us and say ´no, you didnt order that! how can i cook something you didnt order´. Its not the best way to start the day, having an argument about breakfast.

The hotel is located on a white sand beach along the ocean close to Phillipsburg. We had a small condo overlooking the ocean. The hotel is very clean, staff very friendly and helpful and we would recommend staying here to anyone traveling to St. Maarten. There is a restaurant onsite that has ecellent food. The hotel is very nice, with abeautiful beach, nice surroundings. The rooms are clean and well kept. Overall, would go back there for sure.

The only negative thing I can say is that I wish they had a light fare for dinner option. I was not always hungry for a big meal every night.

needs to have the TV reception corrected for the rooms. The diningroom menu could be a little better dinner specials were pricey.

First the complaints: (Because that is all that some folks want to know.) The screen doors were off their sliders and the housekeeper did not like to clean bathrooms. I think that is why my legs are covered with moquito bites even though we propped them up and why we showered in flipflops. Although the desk spoke with the keeper, and the next day was […] a little better, the doors stayed off. But, more to the positive, we arrived prior to a storm watch so we were upgraded to a studio. The room was beautiful. And it wasn't one of the upgraded ones. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was one of the nicest I've seen in SXM. Clean and serene. The desk and grounds staff were always considerate. If you can rent a car at a good rate, do it. The location is not ideal, although we walked to Front Street, and cabs are outrageous. I urge anyone reading not to stay at this hotel! Issues include but are not limited to the following: Front desk not helpful and could care less about your discomfort, room was in need of a renovation, tub was horrible, broken fan, light bulbs out, towel rack barely held up, tv remote didn't work, charged $25 if you lost plastic room key and $10 for […] plastic towel card, then charged a fee for energy use daily to all occupants. The only positive factor was the view of the water. Overall, it was not serenity!!!!! Mehr

Access to the hotel from the main thoroughfare is difficult. Services including internet access are far too expensive. For the price you pay for the accommodation internet access should be free or priced reasonably. Over $5 for 15 minutes internet access is a rip off.

This was a great hotel/resort way to go hotel.com. My wife and I were very pleased with St. Maarten. The posted negative comments about this hotel/resort are just not true. We just returned from a three night stay starting june 5, 2009. We booked a beachfront room and to our surprise we were right on the beach, literally about two hundred feet away […] from the warm caribean sea. The sounds of the ocean was so pleasant it was like a second honeymoon. The room was very modern and clean. The bath room was very nice also. The color decor was neat and chic. Our room was cleaned everyday and extra towels were made available when we needed them. The staff at the hotel was very nice and true to their moto; friendly people. The beach is great at this hotel. The island is vey nice and people are laid back Cool. This hotel is on the Dutch side of the island St. Maarten, everyone speaks english there. They drive on the right side of the road like in the U.S. which was nice. The French side is in St. Martin which is a short twenty minute drive away very nice as well. We are certainly going back to this hotel/resort with the kids next time. Mehr

Hola, el Hotel Divi, tiene diferente servicio en lo que es la habitacion comun y los departametos. En el primero de los casos el servicio es muy malo, un dia no nos cambiaron las toallas,otro dia no pusieron jabon y otro dia limpiaron mal y tarde. El mobiliario es viejo y todo rallado. Por tal motivo pedimos cambio a un departamento, ahi si cambio todo […] venian a limpiar y dejaban todas las cosas. De todas maneras el TE del lobby nunca es atendido hay que ir personalmente, y el despertador telefonico no funcionaba. Mehr

Hôtel très bien situé, donnant la priorité au Time-share. Le restaurant principal était en travaux, petit-déjeuners possible au Sea-Breeze café mais assez onéreux : le plus simple est de s'approvisionner à la petite boutique de l'hôtel. Les studios sont parfaits pour 4 personnes, bien aménagés. La situation est idéale, la mer est très proche et la plage […] bien entretenue. Plusieurs jacuzzi sont disponibles sur le site hôtelier, dont un notamment au-dessus d'une petite piscine Infinity. Clientèle majoritairement américaine, et donc restauration type américain. Possibilités de restauration à l'autre bout du site, au Ginger Bread Café, ou à Phillipsburg, pas très éloigné (pas de navettes, il faut avoir recours aux taxis). Mehr

Nous avons passé une nuit avant de se rendre a saint Barthelemy et nous avons été très déçu par rapport aux photos du site. Seul le lit était confortable et de qualité, tout le reste était vétuste et sale. Le pire étant la salle de bains où la baignoire était jaunâtre et incrustée de taches. Bonne résidence hoteliere bien équipée.Le seul bemole c'est le service NUL Tous les jours il manquait quelque chose, serviettes pour la douche,papier toilette ... Et a chaque fois il fallait réclamer minimum 5 fois et passer par 10 responsables pour avoir ce qu'il manquait.Sinon la situation était parfaite pres de la capitale Hollandaise.Peu de restaurant […] aux alentours eviter celui de l'hotel vraiment tres moyen.Pour les activités nautiques tout etait sur place faut juste un peu les bousculer si vous voulez quelquechose. We hadden een standaardroom in het oude gedeelte van het hotel. Kamer had vele gebreken: oude niet lopende schuifdeuren, versleten stoelen, niet frisse kussens, gedateerde badkamer met vieze vlekken, badafvoer verstopt. Helaas geen koelkast. Maar het balkon met uitzicht op zee maakte veel goed. Het is niet op loopafstand van Philipsburg doordat er twee […] heuvels tussen liggen. De zee is niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen. Ontbijtlokatie binnen is met airco en niet gezellig en het terras is niet leuk. Dus aan te raden om een auto te huren, zodat je ook naar een supermarkt kan gaan. Taxis zijn erg duur. Mehr
