Wir hatten das Appartment mit separatem Schlafzimmer. Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Tolle Küchenzeile in der es an nichts fehlte. Grosses Badezimmer mit Jacuzzi. Alles sehr sehr sauber. Parken etwas schwierig und kostet auch noch extra. Tahoe Queen vor der Haustür. Ganz toll.

Not impressed with staff. Not impressed with service. Acted like I was more trouble than I was worth. Will not stay here on my next trip to Tahoe.

The hotel is very nice and clean, but the staff is very pushy, trying to force you into "meetings" about their timeshares. I was only staying the night to attend a party. It was as bad as walking onto a car sales lot. The bars and restaurant closed at 9pm on a Saturday night. Way too early. They also charge $16 to park. When we checked into the hotel we were informed that there would be a $16 per day parking fee (something that was not advertised on their website) The parking area was not even on the grounds of the hotel. It was about a block and a half away! They did provide valet service, but as we all know that consists of tipping the valet every time you come and […] go from the hotel. That on top of the parking fee was ridiculous to us. The rooms were very clean. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. So bad that my husband and I woke up with sore backs every morning. The thermostat did not work properly. We had it set at 60 degrees and the window wide open and the room was still extremely stuffy. My four year old even complained about the heat! Mind you there was snow outside!!!! The hotel had good ammenities for kids. They had a kids club with daily activities for the kids and a heated indoor/outdoor pool. Mehr

The Service was not so good and pool hared to much clorox

Definitely not worth the price. The moment we arrived we noticed half of the property was covered in a plastic tarp due to some renovations. The valet didn't offer to help with our bags and the moment we walked into the lobby we were harassed into attending the timeshare seminar. What a scam! They also charge for wireless and parking. Like other reviews have stated.. Valet parking was atrocious. It took 45 min to get my car..Pool is tiny.. But room was nice..

Prior reviews are correct - the concierge staff are quite helpful. The sales team, however, while professional upon introduction, became rude when we politely declined their pitch and made the experience unpleasant at the end.

My family and I really enjoyed our visit to the Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort. The resort is in an excellent location being close to skiing, the lake, shopping, dining and the casinos. I agree with an earlier review that stated you are already paying $16 per day for valet parking, so use it. I found the valet/bell attendants to be very friendly and helpful. […] I had also read in another review that they didn't like the high pressure sales attempt as this is a time share type resort. I'll let you know what I did...they called a couple of days before our arrival to step up an "appointment". I just told the gentleman on the phone that I didn't know what we had planned yet and couldn't commit to a specific time despite his concerns that all of the appointments would be full. When I arrived they wanted to put my "welcome packet" together for me. Again, I didn't have the time (my hands were full with a kids) and I would come back later...I didn't. The sales people never bothered me and they were very helpful as well. Overall, we had a very enjoyable, comfortable time with little to no irritation from the sales people and found the entire staff to be very accomodating and friendly. Mehr

The Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort was extremely convenient for skiing at Heavenly ski resort. A shuttle runs all day. The suite was spacious and well equipped, with a spacious tub and a decent kitchenette. We were able to cook all our own meals, for eight people, without too much difficulty. There was a pool and a well-equipped gym on site. Staff members […] were polite and helpful. We were allowed to check in two hours early, for example. However, there were a few problems. When we checked in, we were told that check-out was at ten a.m. (instead of eleven, as posted on the hotels.com page). Wireless access was down for the first day of our stay and failed again midway through our last day; it was annoying to have paid for access on that last day and then lose it. The wireless access point was also extremely annoying; whenever I used my smart phone, I was prompted to join the network, and many times the page that popped up could not be closed or bypassed. I actually had to leave the hotel grounds at one point in order to access the web via my phone, and since I was dealing at the time with the fact that one of our guests had fallen while skiing and was in the hospital with a concussion, the inconvenience was considerable. Also, be aware that this is part of a timeshare network, and the concierge will try to talk you into going to a sales meeting. Mehr

My family stayed here over the 3 day weekend. we stayed in 3 different rooms and all had basically the same experience. The service at check-in was horrible the people behind the desk were very short and rude. They asked for the credit card i used to reserve the room and my id when i checked in. without saying anything they charged the whole stay on […] that credit card. I actually had another card i wanted to use for the stay and the man behind the desk tried to blame it on me for giving him the wrong card. My room was not what i had requested and had no view and wrong bed configuration. The valet parking was a joke. the first morning i called ahead a half hour for my vehicle then when i arrived took another hour for it to arrive. the second day i called 1 hour ahead for my vehicle then went down stairs and waited another hour after complaining to get my vehicle. The maid staff was great we requested towels a few times because they only offer one cleaning and you have to pay to have your room cleaned more than once. They were very quick and polite. The bar and restaurant staff were very nice as well and the restaurant had very good food well worth the price. Because of the rudeness of the staff, horrible valet service, and basically hidden fees me nor my family will ever stay here again and i will definitely tell others to stay else where. Mehr

The hotel room was not as described....no jetted tubs. Also we tried to check in early, having traveled all day, and after checking back many times and being promised that our room was 'almost ready', we never were able to check in early afterall. We waited around from 11:00 to exactly 4:01 on the dot when they finally called our cell phone and said […] our room was ready. We were not happy with the service at all. Also if you're a coffee drinker, as we are, they don't serve coffee in the hotel at all. If you want coffee in the morning you have to go to their restaurant where a cup of coffee is $2.75 each. Enjoyed our stay. The suite was ideal for us three. Very close to lake, casinos and shopping. Will come again some day in the future.

Great Room, but check in was a nightmare. Took 45 minutes. As soon as we were checked in, they bombarded us with the hard-sell timeshare talk. They did not want to hear that we were not interested in a timeshare (we only wanted a hotel room!!) We found their tenacity offensive.

The wifi was only free to those who have AT&T at home and can use "hot spots" while at the hotel.

This hotel was great, everything except the initial introduction by the "Concierge" who is part of the Timeshare staff pressures you into attending one of their presentations. Granted, they do offer quite a bit in return, but we wanted our time to vacation and not be part of a presentation trying to sell us something. The staffer got rude after we […] declined them several times, which is always the worst part of it. The hotel is in a great location. It is a good, basic, clean hotel, and would be a great hotel if the middle management staff would keep the fact that they are in a service business in mind. We had issues with the very aggressive sales pitch thrown at us as we checked in. One shift manager added a charge to our account over our asking for help in locating a pool towel. This was our first time at this particular hotel and overall we were very pleased with our stay. The rate we got from Hotels.com was very reasonable compared to other smaller hotels in the area. The hotel offers a fitness center (small but at no extra charge), BBQ area with fancy grills one can use, very nice swimming pool and a somewhat decent happy […] hour (no big discounts). What we really disliked was their wi-fi service. Not only they charge $6.99/night (I can get free wi-fi at any Starbucks without having to spend a penny), internet connectivity is absolutely horrendous. For those of us who do not feel like paying the extra fee, they provide two public computers, which are always taken and are very very slow. Internet access is no longer a luxury but a must. The other thing we did not like was the fact that they offer no maid service if you stay less than 5 days and only 1 day if you stay 5+ days. So, if you want fresh towels on a daily basis, you need to request. No room cleaning though, unless your child made a real mess on the carpet. Lastly, you pay $16/day for parking, which includes valet service. So, use it. Mehr

Just a warning this is a time share resort-- you will feel the pressure to take a tour when you check in. Check in on a weekend means a 2-3 hour wait for your room after the 4pm check in time. Be warned! Other than the push to buy into the timeshare the condo's are a nice place to stay right in the middle of downtown south lake tahoe.

We didn't expected to pay extra for parking, all the hotels that we been before have enough capacity for all their guests (it's included) Thanks.

Even though I booked this by night from Hotels.com, there was no room service since this is a timeshare. They will pitch you timeshare when you get in and every chance they have. The Coincerge is no a real one, but rather a pitch desk for timeshares. The unit was clean and nice. Location was good. It is a 3 star for what you get and what you pay. The […] unit I got had a small kitchenette. Parking is not good and they do charge $16/day mandatory parking fee whether valet or self park. Mehr

The front desk acts like we should be greatful their talking to us upon check in don't get there til four not even five minutes early.forget about the time share you pay for everything WI fi available nut you have to pay for it, even if you valet or the parking lot is full you still pay 16 dollars a day when you rent four suites that adds up quick they […] don't care, it was a nightmare we were there for my wedding, you have to pay for a bell boy for room to room calls, we booked two months earlier and still could only get the bottom floor and if you go down and ask for nonresale coffee for the next morning its 1.50 and last thing just because it was the worst stay ever the lights in the bathroom went out at 10 pm no one could fix you had to leave the door open and check out is 10 am not 11 am and they don't care what your reservations say. I thought we were staying some where nice at a fair price but u might as well stay at harvys or harrahs were they take care of you Mehr

Nice hotel and very close to the beach. The only problem was the internet conection, the lobby computers were too slow and paying for wi-fi for access to your laptop was very slow as well. Overall it is a nice place to stay.

Very nicely located and comfortable specially to families

We arrived a little before 4:00. Check in was quick and easy. Avoid the Concierge for the "welcome package". It's the start of the time-share push. We were in the updated wing. The room was clean and modern. The full kitchen was a plus. The courtyard BBQ set up was perfect for the summer night. Unfortunately, the 2nd room did not have the advertised […] 2 double beds. Instead it had a double bed and oversized couch. Parking was not a problem. We usually found parking in the hotel lot. Only once did we have to park in the lot across the street. Check out is 10:00 not 11:00. Late check out can be request on check day but they only give you to 11:00. Overall a good stay. Mehr

After arriving at 3:00 pm we were told that our 2 bdrm condo wasn't quite ready, so we killed some time and went to the local gracery store. When we went back at 4:30, 30 minutes past the regular check in time we were told our rooms would not be done until 5:30. With my persistance we finally got into our place by 5:20. In the quest to find the remote […] for one of the TV's, I found it and a paperback book underneath the masterbedroom bed. Other than those 2 instances the rest of our stay was quite pleasant until 9:45 am on the day that we were leaving, the housekeeper came knocking on our door to see when we would be leaving. Check out time is 10:00 am!!! Mehr

Clean, new decor, modern, excellent kitchen setup with all pots/pans & utensils. Great amenties. Pool fun, exercise room good, outdoor BBQ's with picnic area. Parking is a hassle. A few at the hotel the rest across the street.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel's location is awesome. It is close to the lake, food and boat rentals. Besides this, the kitchen is well equipped and comes handy for people who are with kids. The only problem is the limited parking space and you need to go for valley if it is not available. The valley service is prompt though.

The front desk did not inform me of maid service at check in, I was expecting this service. The pressure sell by connoisseur group was not vary comfortable, wanted to get to room and unwind after traveling. Last limited parking.

excellant location, right on the lake and Marina. Nice Grounds and facilities. Great for families, would like to see them add activities for teenagers. Kid and adult activities but would be nice if they had social activities for teenagers to mingle.

All in all, a good experience. The hotel itself was very well maintained and clean. Our room was also relatively well maintained and clean, though the rooms on the first two floors could use enhancements (one of the wicker chairs in our room was pretty beat up and in need of replacing / the curtains were pretty worn out and a bit tattered) and we found […] it odd that they have a policy in place stating that house keeping only tidies up rooms if your stay exceeds 5 days. Not the end of the world though - you just have to make your own bed and keep the room tidy. The hotel is right on the lake and adjacent to many shops, restaurants, and water sports rental places - very convenient. One thing to consider - if you are not in the mood to sit through a very intensive timeshare sales presentation make sure you avoid the concierge in the lobby. As with all timeshares, they lure you in with freebies to sit through a '90 minute' presentation however if you really stick to your guns and know how to work the consultative sales process the right way.....and have 3+ hours to kill, you can actually get a pretty great deal on their vacation / hotel / points plan. After 3+ hours of offering the standard 'sales objections' we stood firm and ended up getting a very nice deal (saved about 30% overall on the vacation package they pitched us) and some extra freebies. Overall, I'd say this is a nice place to stay in Tahoe. Now that we've seen the rooms on the upper floors (which are reserved for guests who buy into the timeshare plans) we will definitely use some of our points to visit again. The 1-2 BDR timeshare condos on the upper floors are amazing and we are looking forward to staying in those rooms. Mehr

We've been coming here for years. The location and price are excellent. The sevrice is hit-or-miss. Still, for the price and amenties, we keep coming back. Pros: (1) Great price for a 2BR condo with kitchen. (2) Great location (3) The indoor-outdoor combination pool is wonderful for the kids. (4) On-site gas grills are nice for evening BBQs. (5) Free […] papers and cookies (if you get there at 4-430 pm sharp!) are nice touches (6) Pool table, ping pong table, video arcade (behind soundproof glass doors), and on-site video rentals are all nice touches Cons: (1) Check in is very late (4 pm) and the line was 15 people deep, requring a 15 minute wait. Conversely, check-out is too early (10 am). (2) Our assigned room was poorly maintained, which in our experience, is more likely in the "old wings" of the complex. The A/C roared, flushing the toilet didn't clear the bowl, and the phones did not work. We moved to a room in the "newer wing" and all was fine. (3) The Bear Moon Cafe (which was excellent years ago) is now medicore. The waiters are generally OK, but the kitchen bungles orders 50% of the time. It's also slow. (4) There is a huge shortage of parking on the hotel grounds, so you'll usually have to park in the offsite garage. This is a 7-10 minute walk from the rooms to the lobby end of the property, then across the main street. We don't mind the walk, but were annoyed at being charged $16/night for a parking space that we had to hike to. (5) The "concierge" tries to get you to sign up for a timeshare tour. (We did it once a few visits ago, and it was awful. The "guide" was incoheren,. disorganized and generally unknowledgeable.) If you skip the conciereg desk after check-in, they will keep pestering you with a voice message every day. Mehr

First of all this is not a hotel but a time share, loud and noisy with the atmosphere of a YMCA The location is very good,but does not compensate for the run down condition of the facilty and lack of service, necessary to have a comfortable and enjoyable. This is a terrible place to stay. They charge 16.00 a day to park your car there. I stayed 5 days, 4 nights and they never came and cleaned the room the whole time i was there. When you check in you get 2 bags of coffee and then you have to buy it at 1.50 a bag if you want any more during your stay. Wireless internet is 7.00 a day. They just charge […] for every little thing. Not worth the money Mehr
