We have stayed at Miracle Springs before and enjoyed the large size of the rooms, beautiful landscaping, and relaxing atmosphere. I understood from e-mails I received from the hotel that the rooms had been renovated and was anxious to stay there again. I'm not sure what renovating they did. The bed was extremely hard, even though my husband and I like […] a firm bed. The tile in the bath had grout missing and was dirty looking. The bath towels were extremely thin and small for a resort hotel. The couch in the room looked to be many years old and we questioned its cleanliness. Our room had access to the pool through a patio door, which was extremely difficult to open and did not lock from the outside. It would be nice if the rooms had numbers on them so you would be sure to enter the correct room from the pool! Also, we would have appreciated being able to lock the patio door via key card when going out to the pool. The staff were very kind and helpful. When we needed extra bedding, it was brought up to us immediately. I would suggest updating the bedding, paint, and tile. The hotel grounds are an oasis, with a large, beautiful pool and many wonderful hot tubs to choose from; just wish the rooms were as nice. Mehr

Best resort in Dessert Hot Springs.

This hotel was one of the few decent looking ones we found that allowed kids. If we were not traveling with our son, we would have stayed elsewhere. Felt a bit overrun by kids in the pool area at times--a few families tended to monopolize one of the thermal pools for hours on end, but there were other choices since there are many pools. My 8 year old […] loved the big pool in the middle, I preferred the hotter, smaller tubs. The front desk was helpful and nice, especially Brandy. The room was comfortable with average amenities, no complaints. Nice onsite restaurant, we had breakfast twice which was good and reasonably priced--did not have dinner there. The mountains in the background with the snow caps while you are in the thermal pools is really quite pretty. We would return with children. Mehr

The rooms are basic,,a bit dated but clean. The hot spring pools are great! Enjoyable to sit in on a cool night and your skin will feel soft and smooth for days.An easy and inexpensive update would be to upgrade the basic towels.

Great pool area.

Pros: proxcimity to Sea Mountain Inn; good breakfast reasonably priced; nice pools. Cons: has not been re-furbished in long time; TV & appliances are old by anyone standards; massage did not bother to show up - it was like pulling teeth to get a refund for their bad service; cannot just walk out, but must physically check out at desk and return keys […] - annoying & time consuming. The best thing about Miracle Springs is the pool area. If all you want to do is hang out in the sun with a warm pool and your choice of many hot tubs, this is the place. Week day trips are best, because it's not at all crowded. Splurge on a poolside room with a patio. I would suggest a few improvements: Update the TVs to HD flat screens, do some minor […] repairs around the pool area (gate latches, tiles, cracked concrete) and make sure access doors are closed and latched. Lastly, the new restaurant was not an improvement over the Chuckwalla. Horrible breakfast, lousy coffee, the house wine tastes worse then two buck chuck, and they were out of the main ingredient to my breakfast selection. Drive a few blocks away to the Sidewinder for a most excellent breakfast, and bring your own coffee to use in the in-room coffee pot. Mehr

This is obviously not a high-end spa. You can tell that by the price, so don't expect it. But, the pools are great and our non-poolside or pool view room was large and that was all we needed. I love this place. The swimming pool was perfect and all the hot tubs were fabulous. My room was clean. The only problem I had was with room service not giving me what I ordered and then waiting over an hour to get the rest of my meal. The new restaurant at the hotel is The Capri. Their food was ok - nothing to write home to mom about. They should have […] a better food selection for their room service. When I am on vacation I love room service. The 7 mineral pools are sparking clean and wonderful to use. There is a spa on site and a restaurant (neither of which I used). The rooms need updating and the bedding could be better. Small fridge was not working without freezing vegetables. Microwave much appreciated. Desert Hot Springs is within 20 minutes of Palm Desert, Palm Springs and Joshua […] Tree National park which is a must see. Desert Hot Springs is very much windier than the other locations (great in the summer) and very much quieter. For me, the only thing that really mattered was the beautiful water experience and I would return for that alone. Mehr

This hotel has numerous hot pools and a heated swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, a sofa, table, comfortable bed and TV. The restaurant is excellent and affordable. It is truly a great find!

Right now is the best time to do spa. The hotel is not crowded and we checked in the room at 3:30 without any problem. It is so relax and we will come back again.

The Hotel offers a nice place to stay with great features for the price. The Hotel also offers specials the 4 times that I have stayed with them once you check in. Great stop over for LA back to Phoenix.

The elevator was out of order. The room was dark and depressing and there was a lack of towels, washcloths, & shampoo. The remote control did not work. The room advertised a mountain view. Great as long as you are sitting down looking up, otherwise you have a dusty back yard. The Capri Restaurant did not have enough staff. One waitress who got testy […] after I began searching for a cup and coffee even though there was only one other table with only two customers. I got only a half slice of ham with my eggs. Mehr

There are many dissapointments, the major ones were: late late check in, extremely rude staff, lack of hospitality. We were told check in was at 4... we only got our key at 6 .... no apology was made. We had small children and we were just told that they didnt have enough maids. The hotel was clearly under staffed, yet there were not many guests. We […] asked for towels, called the front desk and housekeeping but we never got fresh towels. Each time we called for towels we were told that they were in the dryer. The staff was always rude, snappy, short tempered, and they had an angry upset face. Never got a smile or a proper polite response. The restaurant is slow, disgusting, tasteless food that seemed microwaved. The restaurant would be a great candidate for the tv show kitchen nightmares. We had no choice but to eat there since the so called "resort" is in the middle of a forgotten town. The so called natural spring water pools were dirty and smelled like pure chlorine, I didnt know that natural water had so many toxic chemicals....All the bad reviews are TRUE, the only nice thing was being able to check out and quickly drive away from this place. The place was most likely built in the late 80's and they have not updated or renovated anything since then. The place has potential, but for now it is a place meant for people who want to enjoy bad service, microwaved food, chlorinated spring water, 80's decor, and a 2 hour wait to check in. this hotel desperately needs to start providing service. the entire staff seems totally disinterested. The check in is 4, you pay extra if you want an early check in !!! we had to wait until 5.15 with 2 toddlers who were not happy. the receptionist actually eats popcorn whilst talking to you during check in. the restaurant is totally understaffed with […] lots of disgruntled customers. pools are great and that is the only reason to come here. never book on the hotel website as on line sites offer lower rates and the hotel will not match prices !!!! When we arrived we were looking forward to the hot pools instead all 4 pools we tried were barely warm. It turned out the hotel had the control setting low because of the gusty wind which didn't help but freezing us. One of the guests told me that she was told to go to the hotel next door where the water was warmer (ran by the same owner/manager) to […] which she applied " I am not going there, I am here." After we rushed into the room to get warm we discovered insects/ants around the bathroom floor, counter, and sink. When called on it they sent a house keeper who "wiped out" all the insects in and around the bathroom. But I could still see live ones afterwards. To make things worse the thermostat in the room did not work as if the temperature was being controlled elsewhere. It was a cold night and there was no way to get warmer. In addition, the room floor and couch needed vacuuming and cleaning. When checking out the front desk rep didn't bother to ask how the stay was, instead I had to wait for the breakfast ticket that was not delivered to the front desk from the restaurant a few feet away. Being That We Are An Oriental Family We've Been Looking For Something Like This For Years.. It Was Great.. OMG..

We love the water! We bring along our grandchildren and they love the water for play! The king king room is fabulous with it's kitchenette, 2 rooms and 2 TVs. The breakfast has always been our favorite but now with the new restaurant Capri, we look forward to dinner! Still, it's the WATER!

Read the reviews that were mixed. But, we took a chance. Glad we did. It was just fine for our needs of a easy going middle class family. Place to stay for the night to break up our drive. Yes, the hotel is older, but they keep it clean and tidy and honestly looked like the best one in the area. Nice landscaping around the pool & spa and there was indeed […] a view of the mountains. Very pretty. Some of the spa tiles are worn and will need replacing at some point, but the water was still warm and inviting. We had fun with our 14 yr old daughter, trying out the various spas. The fact that they are open 24/7 was perfect! The desk staff was friendly and offered a tip that if we call before booking, they can make sure you get the best room possible. We weren't there long enough to try out any of the spa services or the restaurant. But for the price of the room, you can't beat it. Very comforatable. After a long day of driving, it was just what we needed and with the little mini-frig and microwave, we were able to chill our travel snacks for the next day. Mehr

The hot springs pools are pretty nice. Kids enjoy very much even in the windy day. Very kids friendly depth and temperature. Also, the microwave inside the room is a big plus. We get to do a little "hot food" potluck with few other families at dinner time.

This is my second time at this hotel. Fair price for the service received. Overall, I am more satified with the service and quality of its employees thatn with the facilities. I would recommend it. The important thing is that my lady loved it.

The front desk people were very friendly, I had a great room location, view of pool and mountains with a balcony. I also had a massage (lomi lomi) a real treat and the spa staff were very friendly also. This is my 5th time at Miracle Springs I go for the hot spring pools and the beautiful landscape. The jets in the pools need work, only about half of […] them worked. The biggest complaint is the restaurant the hotel hired a new chef but neither my dinner or my daughters dinner was very good. Once at the hotel you really don't want have to drive to Palm Springs for a good dinner but that is the only option since there is nothing that you would want to go to in Dessert Hot Springs. Mehr

At check in time the front desk asked me to sign the document for two nights stay instead of one. I have corrected the paper to one night stay and then signed. The check in time is 4 pm (too late). The check out time 11 am.

I really enjoyed the comfort of our room and the view. The hotel staff was not friendly. They really try to nickle and dime you and since the room was not cheap to begin with the stay became very expensive. The restraurant food was good but again service was not. It took forever to get our food and staff was not trained.

If you are in a bind this may work, but otherwise look elsewhere. The staff at the front desk was nice, but I got to the room and found two queens rather than the king size bed ordered. Apparently, that is in the fine print of the hotel agreement. It was very run down and not close to any restaurants. We had to drive 30 minutes to Palm Springs for  […] that. Mehr

Our unexpected last minute stay at Miracle Springs Resort was the best! We were there when it was full moon, just beautifull with all the palms and hot-tubs. We like our privacy and at this hotel we did not feel crowded because this hotel has many pools. SO relaxing and theraputic. I recomend this hotel it is a truly wonderfull place. I just hope that […] it'll always be like the way it was when we were there, relaxing, private and serene, because I really want to go back to enjoy the mineral pools and the hotel! Mehr

We stayed in DHS to visit with friends for a long weekend, but did not want to stay in their home (cramped & privacy). We found Miracle Springs to cover the bases. Their outdoor facility with several pools is very nice; their cafe is tasty and great value; spa treatment is good. The room was clean, but old, although we did not spend much time in our […] room - it just covered out needs. This is a 3.5 star place, but is generally nicer than the community it is located in.
