Das Motel liegt weder in Küstennähe noch besonders ruhig. Es hat einen viel zu kleinen Frühstücksraum (ab der 2.Familie wird es eng) und ist am empfang zumeist unbesetzt. Bucht man es für 1 Nacht sollte man es gut aushalten können. Die Zimmer sind sauber und wirken frisch renoviert.es gibt einen beheizten Pool und direkte Parkmöglichkeiten vor den Zimmern. […] Der innkeeper hat uns auf Wunsch 2-tageskarten für das sehenswerte Aquarium organisiert. Einfaches, zweckmässiges Hotel. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ideal für Kurzaufenthalt. Gehdistanz zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Empfehlenswert.

Wirklich schönes Motel, mit modern eingerichteten Zimmern und schönem Bad. Im Außenbereich ist das Motel wunderschön mit Blumen bepflanzt. Alles Moteltypischen Sachen sind vorhanden (Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Bügeleisen und -brett). The staff helped my mother with all local attractions including looking up local churches and finding directions for her. He went above and beyond! Thank you!

Too loud. Lots of party people.

We enjoyed our stay. The price was very affordable and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort. It is close to main streets of Monterey.

We were very surprise as to how nice it was. It was close to everything including whole food when we couldn't decide what to eat. The staff was more than great. They went out of their way to be helpful Abe make sure we were happy. For the price it was 5star forus

I had paid in advance for a "garden side" 2 queen room. What I got was a view of a cinder block wall under a noisy portico under the entrance to the hotel with lots of foot traffic going by my door at all hours. I discovered when I woke up in the morning that my sheets had sand on them. I had not been to the beach and had done nothing to put sand in […] the bed myself. I had not worn shoes in to the bed for example. So although because of the location there was a lot of sand around (which I understand and am not complaining about) this really wasn't acceptable and made me feel that perhaps I hadn't been given clean sheets upon arrival. Lastly, without previous warning a hold of $150 was put on my credit card even though I had prepaid my entire stay. I was promised that it would be removed right away but this did not happen during my stay. In general the staff was very friendly but this does not make up for the shortcomings that I experienced. Very unhappy with Hotel, when checked in started checking us in, and then clerk answered phone and started helping that person and made us wait, then while still on phone pointed to different things she wanted us to sign, handed me the key and did not say a word. When entered room found we only had one small bottle of shampoo so had to go back to desk, […] we were rudely giving 2 more bottles. That nite started takening showers, 2 of us that nite, and in the morning the other 2 took showers, the last person did not have a bath towel, so again back to the front desk AGAIN, where no one was there, I ran the bell 3 times waited and waited and no one came, other person came and she could not get anyone to reply either, so the last person had to take a shower and use alittle hand towel to dry off with. And there is not one other mirror in the room ,so you had to wait to use the bathroom one, never been to Hotel or Motel that did not have a mirror in the room. would not return to this place again. We had made reservations so they should have known there were 4 guest as that is what we stated, so room should have been ready for 4 guests. Mehr

Everything was good, except the pillow had few long black hairs... Location was good, room did not have a smoke smell.

The location and price were right, and having read previous reviews I thought I was getting a good deal. The staff were virtually non-existent, they were either always in the back room or posted a sign saying they would be back in 5 minutes (which turned into 30 mins to an hour). We had a maintenance problem with the shower/tub, it would not drain properly […] and the handle to turn on the water was broken; these issues were never remedied... Overall, for the price it was a good deal I guess, I would recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency instead though, it is worth the extra money. Mehr

Stay there for 2 nights. It was ok with the price. It was so loud when u turn on water in the tub also when u flash toilet. I lost my baby's pajamas and shoes in the room i noticed that when i packed my bag on my second night.

Worth it and more. They need to upgrade toiletries.

Across from the Del Monte Shopping Center which is the central entertainment, food and shopping area away from the downtown area

Although this looked like an older motel from the outside, the rooms were beautifully renovated with attractive furniture, flat screen tvs, marble counters, etc. Clean and quiet. This place was a great deal and we appreciated the light breakfast.

the rooms have been remodeled and are very nice, nicer than I expected for the price of the room!

Excellent!!

We arrived a day late and although they were able to accommodate us it was not with a friendly smile. The guy behind the counter huffed and puffed at our every request. It was a hassle for him to help us and a true inconvenience. It was not until we told him to cancel if he didn't want us there that he "found" us a room. Once we opened the door to the […] room we noticed a strong smell. Very unpleasant! We actually had to buy some lysol and spray! I think it was the carpet. My son walked around with white socks and they weren't white when he was done. Disgusting!! The shower door did not close and we could not open the window because there was no screen. The soda machine was empty and if you were thirsty at night you had to drive to the gas station for something to drink. The list goes on...I'm just glad we were only there for 2 nights. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Only good thing is the free wi-fi. Mehr

It's comfortable, newly renovated, and in a good location. Try Chopstix restaurant a few feet away for great and affordable Vietnamese food! It's close enough to walk to the bay if you are in good shape. The staff is helpful. The toiletries are pretty sparse (I think two bars of soap and a little shampoo), the bathtub is teeny tiny, and the breakfast […] is minimal (two kinds of cereal, coffee & juice, danishes, cocoa & black tea). (Try the little french bakery near the bay for a very pleasant breakfast. :)) When we got there, our room was all clean except for a mysterious puddle in front of the toilet. We're pretty sure it was just water... We had a very pleasant stay and will probably stay there again. Mehr

Great hotel but I think we got the room with all the watrer pipes running through the walls. Constent banging and rattling from the pipes everytime someone showered or flushed. Not sure if all rooms were that noisy, but room 26 sure was.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very neat, clean, and easy to find. All the places are nearby - within couple of miles and staffs were very helpful. I was looking for some toiletries by default but could not find them. Luckily I had some spares in my bag so didn't ask the desk too.

During a business trip, my experience was that the Hotel was GREAT and had a microwave and fridge. The only reason that I gave a "3" rating for "comfort of room" was that it didn't have a coffee maker! I was rising at 3am for work, before starbucks opens or breakfast is served at the hotel. I ended up making a trip to starbucks the night before, getting […] two cups of coffee and microwaving them in the room before I left for work. Mehr

As we stayed on a weeknight, the rate for the room was extremely low. We felt we got a good value for our money. The room was clean, but the bed was miserable. We both awoke with back aches. Breakfast was minimal: cereal, pastries, coffee, juices & milk...no fruit or proteins.

The room was better than I had expected. Updated bathroom (granite counter tops and nice shower), nicely painted walls, comfortable beds, and also had a mini fridge and microwave. Since it is a 1 story motel, no one above you making noise. It was very quiet. The only complaint was the breakfast. I wasn't expecting much, cereal, toast, maybe juice, but […] only had cereal and toast. There was a juice machine, but it was either out of order, or out of juice (we were there about 7:30, so doubt it was out of juice). Other than that, it served our purpose well. Mehr

The staff didn't speak much. The breakfast was only okay, no whole wheat bread at all.

this place was a dump. Deserately in need of new toilet or bolts felt like I was on a ride every tome I used toilet not cool. Dirty towels and comforter was nasty. Will never go back there ruined my stay in Monterey.

The Hotel was decent and simple. Not really anything to complain about or to get too excited about. It fit my needs fine and i would def stay here again.

Great for the money. The parking was a little tight, but a great overall stay. I will be back.

The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was rated by other customers as being really good, but I did not find it anymore than normal. Just pastries and cereal. No eggs. Otherwise, this was a nice stay.

We booked this room last minute, and with only one night stay. We arrived early and requested to get access to our room three hours before check in time. Front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was as pictured online, it was clean and cozy. This hotel is close to all the area attractions. The price is reasonable. We were not able […] to try the continental breakfast but it was nice to have available if someone want a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. You can stay in Monterey w/o spending your life saving. This motel is remodeled, and clean. It's only a couple blocks down from a Mall that has nice family restraunt choices, CA Pizza Kit, Chipotte Mexican, Chinese, and a WholeFoods grocery with a Large assortment of to-go dinners. Going to Cannery Row is a easy, just stay on the same road, dead in […] at the ocean, turn left. Mehr

Actually, I have picked out questionable motels before because the name was quaint sounding but with this motel I was very pleased. I walked into a nicely appointed room, very updated. Nice big TV, microwave and fridge in a cabinet. I am one to be impressed by hanging flower pots so, to me, the outside was inviting as well. The staff was very friendly […] and accommodating. room clean and comfortable but decor in need of updating, continental breakfast was ok as we are not big eaters early on, as we had a vehicle monterey bay and surrounding area are within easy reach good value stay.

Good Hotel, neat clean and tidy... Very quiet, I will recommend it to all who needs the above things.

Stayed here for the Monterey Bay Aquarium with the kids over the weekend. Convenient 5 min. drive to the aquarium and Pacific Grove. Although the room was small, very clean, esp. the bathroom and shower, a bit overpriced for what it is. Would use it again for last minute option, but would rather have something nicer.

The tub was alot smaller than the one showed online but other than a great place for the price
