- freundlicher Service - Zimmer war sehr einfach, Matratze ziemlich durchgelegen, aber alles sauber. Alles in allem ok, wenn man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt eine günstige Unterkunft sucht. - WLAN kostenfrei - Lage: Industriegebiet - ca. 15-20 min Fußweg bis zur Innenstadt - Preis/Leistung ok

we were in birmingham for a show @ NEC and were lucky to find such a nice hotel for a good price. situation is quite industrial but canalside, so close to major roads but quite quiet on the other side and bar has seating overlooking water with wildlife and narrow-boats and towpath joggers - if you want a view of this from your room ask for one with […] an even number; odd numbers overlook a carpark and flyover. staff were delightful, reception and bar and restaurant all friendly and helpful. we ate in and food was good but not great - more lika a pub than a restaurant really and included some self-service. room was fine, bit smaller than most chains but clean and decorations new. bed was annoyingly not attached to headboard and on casters so moved about a lot if you sat on it ! bath was 3/4 size so no long soak possible sadly. towels a good size. we would recommend a short stay and go back ourselves if in birmingham again. Clean hotel, helpful staff ok for the money, Down side no room service and the surround ding area leaves a lot to. be desired. Either plan on eating at the hotel or driving into town as there's no even so much as a kebab shop within a nuclear blast radius of the place ( not that I could find at any rate). I've been in lot worse places and paid lot […] more for it so overall it's an ok place, would I stay again, probably not but only because of the area not the hotel. Mehr

nice hotel with good location

Bad points: The walls were quite thin, so we were kept up late from guests on one side, and woken early from guests on the other. The bed was not comfortable, the springs could be felt through the mattress and the pillow was too big leaving me with a stiff neck for the next few days. There seem to be a lack of towel rails in the rooms, so I assume the […] towels were laundered every day - not in keeping with modern day hotel environmental policies. Good points: The staff were very helpful on the front desk, and the rooms were well cleaned & tidied each day. The hotel is in a good location - not far from town, and in a quiet neighbourhood (neighbouring guests allowing). Breakfast was good - would recommend the full english. Mehr

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, extremely pleased with our room particularly size as we were three adults in one room. Beds clean and comfy, breakfast and evening meal in restaurant extremely nice and well priced. Patio doors in restaurant overlooking canal - very nice ! Thinking of going back in the autumn to do a bit of xmas shoppping

Good hotel

Ideal, they even got a pool table too.

A lovely hotel, clean and tidy and good value for money for what we wanted - a one night stay for Birmingham Pride. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The only small gripe was the bed on wheels, which moved whenever you move, so sitting up in bed with a cuppa isn't very practical, as the bed moves away from […] the wall of its own accord and freewill!! We didn't have breakfast, but did opt for dinner, which was also lovely and nicely cooked. Our only small gripe was that it was an £8-£12 taxi ride each way from the centre of town where we needed to be, but that was our fault, not the hotel's fault! Mehr

We simply wanted somewhere to stay after a dinner party 2 miles away. we expected that as a business hotel it would be quiet at weekends However, we had no sleep at all as there was a big function on and people were noisy all night afterwards

I stayed in the hotel as I was going to a Villa game. It was handy and relatively close to the Villa Park. 20 min walk or 5 min in taxi. Also, wasn't too far from the city center. 15 min in taxi. Negative points: Sandwiches weren't great at the restaurant and we were disturbed at 4am by a couple's nasty fight from a neighbor room.

The hotel is in quite a good location, just 20 minutes walk from the city centre. The room was very disappointing, very small and not pleasant on the eye and the bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was ok, quite a good selection Hotel staff were friendly

I stayed here with a friend for one night after seeing a concert in the NIA. No train back to London after 10:10 unless you were prepared to sit on an all night-er (hard to believe). Anyway I was concerned as i had tried many of the main Hotel chains in the City centre but all were fully booked. The reviews for the Campanile were very mixed and we were […] a bit concerned about what we would find. I'm glad to report that our concern was completely unjustified. The Hotel is slightly out of the centre but within easy walking distance (20 minutes) Located on the banks of a canal with bus routes and taxi's available and without the noise of the City centre. Our twin beds were very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. yes the decor was a bit dated but that was not a concern, We purchased the full English breakfast which was well cooked, hot and plentiful. The Hotel was fully booked but it was very quite, no disturbance at all, however it was baking hot so we left the window open all night and the traffic was heavy on the A-road outside, but we could have closed the window which was double glazed. Reception staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. For the 2 stars advertised and the price I was impressed and more then happy should I return and to recommend the Campanile too others. er was een manco voor mij aan de hotelkamer, een aangepaste kamer, en toch was de douche in het bad, dat is niet erg praktisch !!!
