Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury - London

Ich habe in meinem Leben schon sehr viele Hotels gesehen 5 Sterne max Luxus und normale Hotels mit 3-4Sternen (war letztes Jahr in über 15 Hotels). Das hier hat nur die Lage anzubieten, der Service einfach unterirdisch schlecht. Wenn Sie ein Hotel zum schlafen suchen und bereit sind den zu teuren Preiss zu zahlen okay dann viel Spass.

When I reserved the hotel with hotels.com I was informed that I could get a two double beds, but when I arrived it was not guaranteed and the hotel was booked ful. The receptionist took my concern to a manager and a room with a sofa bed was found. I thank them for their service. They did a wonderful job.

Internet is not included, don't bother paying for it either the speed is abysmal, not recommended for anybody expecting to work from the hotel during stay. Hotel feels old and rooms are less clean than what the nightly rates would suggest. Bathrooms need renovating. Agree with what other guests said about towels, they never give you enough. TV has very […] few channels, old school 20" CRT. Nowhere near a tube station. Comparable to a 3 star <$100 USD a night hotel in rural US. Mehr

15 mins walk to Covent Garden,decent breakfast,usual hotel decor,comfortable room. Nothing more,nothing less. It's a bit face-less and without individuality really,but still professional and practical. Nothing wrong with the hotel but too far away from Kings Cross to use the name and just too expensive.

flush handle in the toilet was not working, and some of the towels was with Permanent spots.

The hotel was a loverly place to stay,after the small rooms at hotels in Paris the size of this hotel room was a very welcomed relief,as we are a family of 4 with 2 older children,11 and 16. The staff were excellent,the hotel was maybe 10 minutes too far to walk to and from the city,being a 30 min.walk,other wise 10 pound in a cab would get you there,but […] for the cost of the hotel this covered any cab cost,we would stay there again and recommend it. Location not conveniant, it was 15 minutes walking from underground and the neighberhood till you get to the hotel, no too safe at night. Bed no too confortable, it felt realley used. Staff very friendly, specially Antonio, Eva and Sabela and the concierge, really helpful all the time. It has a leisure clu, with a pool, hot tub and sauna but you have […] to pay 3 lbs. Although it´s confortable, It´s also quite expensive for a not so glamourous hotel, but accommodation in London is quite expensive, and it really rare to find hotels with lifts and air conditioning. Nice and quiet location.Close to Kings Cross\St Pancreas stations. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room only booking means breakfast are very costly though.

Hotel as described. Staff very helpful. Not to be confused with other HI property in Bloomsberry. We went to the wrong porperty close by. Internet in room for $, however, they allowed me free use of business office to check emails for a short time. No surprises. Would stay again.

Not as close to the Tube as would have been convenient but not a deal killer, everything else was very good to excellent. Nice clean room with A/C, very helpful staff esp. Nick the bellman who helped us with a late night transfer to the airport. Centrally located and a short Tube ride to many attractions. Nice Hotel, 25 minute walk from Euston and St Pancras. Kids loved the Pool, don't forget to take swim wear! Only £3 for adults and £1.50 for kids the Leisure Area

This is not the typical Holiday Inn you see. It needs a major upgrade to change its 70s style into the modern age. They never give you enough towels, although they must be able to see that there are beds for kids in the room. Pricier than it is worth. Internt WiFi cost per hour or day. We stayed for 3 nights and most of our days were spent out and about. The location was great - a short walk to KC underground and to our delight a short walk to Exmouth Matket with a street filled with really nice eateries. The hotel is need of a serious spring cleaning. There is a constant stale smell throughout the corridors, the lift and even the […] room. Can get quite suffocating. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit hectic because the ladies running the show were a bit overbearing and micro-managing - rather than just letting guests calmly find their own way to a table of choice, they were stopping everyone upon arrival and trying to orchestrate who sat where - this was happening at a time when most of the […] tables in the breakfast area were unoccupied. I was working in the area and brought my family with me for a stay in London. The room was a decent size and very quiet. The only negative was you had to pay to use the gym/pool, this is normally included in the room rate.

Went on our tour only to find out when I arrived in Paris the next day my money was stolen from the hotel. It was in a very secured area but being in England I did not need Euros. I went for my Euros the day we arrived in Paris and found out someone had gotten into the private area of my suitcase and stolen it. Called the hotel the next day and they […] could do nothing unless I filed a police report b ut needless to say we were in Eurodisney Paris. She said she could not help us and we had two children with us and how could she believe we would have any money unless she saw it. Go Figure, never visit London again. Prices were outrageous and hotel with rude with the children. If they only want adults they should state that information. Mehr

Seriously, having to pay for 30 minute "Units" of internet; give me a break. Any place that doesn't offer complementary wifi is a joke!!!

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Kings Cross Station. However, with luggage, it is not recommended to walk. It may be less than a mile, but jumping on the number 63 bus towards Farringdon. Having said that though, very centrally located for lots of tourist attractions - we walked to Leicester Square one evening - only took 30 minutes. I made a plan to travel to London and Paris during the Christmas season of 2010, and I reserved four hotels for this trip, including Holiday Inn Heathrow and Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury in London. All the cancellation policies of these hotels were that the reservations were non-changeable and non-refundable, which I totally understand under normal […] circumstances. However, there were always some unpredictable changes under nobody’s control. London and other parts of Europe were attacked by a snowstorm in the oldest December in a century. The Heathrow airport was closed, and my flight was cancelled (not by me, but by the airline company). I called several times via Hotels.com to cancel my reservations, and told the Holiday Inn staffs and managers that I wanted to cancel the reservation not simply because I changed my mind or plan, but because it was something under nobody’s control. No matter how I explained, the Holiday Inn staffs were inflexible and refused to cancel my reservation. Meanwhile, I called other hotels to cancel my reservation as well. Langland Hotel in London and The Hotel Aida Opera in Paris cancelled my reservations immediately even if their cancellation policies are exactly the same as that of Holiday Inn. They showed their total understanding of customers’ difficulties caused by such severe weather, and made an exception of their cancellation policy to help customers they really value. I appreciate their understanding very very much. Compared with Langland hotel and Hotel Aida Opera, Holiday Inn Heathrow and Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury showed such cold indifference to customers’ difficulties that I promise I will never ever stay in any Holiday Inn in any part of the world. In addition, according to different business management studies, on average, every unsatisfied customer tells his or her bad experience to at least five other people. We booked a room for 3 persons. If we didn't leave a note requesting for 3 sets of towels, we got only 2 sets instead. The fridge was out of order, but was never fixed. It's about 10 minutes walk from the hotel to the metro and the Eurostar stations. It's It costs 5 ounds to take a taxi to the Eurostar. It's a very basic hotel, should not be a 4 stars […] hotel. They didn't change our bed linens during the 4 days we stayed there. The hotel is in a good location,and there are grocery stores near the stations. We'll look for another hotel if we ever go back to London again. Mehr

I signed up for a room with 2 single (twin) beds and ended up with a double bed and a couch converted bed highly uncomfortable. The staff was compliant in swapping it for a room with 2 double beds :) The heating system in the room was poorly working. The staff brought an electric radiator that worked out. too far from kings cross station. need a bus to get to station to start journey. air conditions very loud. hotel very clean and plesent staff but cleaners knocked on door at 9 in the morning. too early for people on holidays.

1. The room entry card was hard to use. 2. The waiter at dinner was incompetent, we each ordered two starters each, we had to wait forever and were only given one each. 3. The hotel was supposed to be within walking distance of Kings Cross. It was up hill, complicated and not possible for two elderly ladies.

We'd chosen the hotel as it was close to Kings X station, for convenience, as we were only in London for two days. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, everything was done very efficiently and with a smile. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The beds were the most comfortable we had ever slept in ! Breakfast was also very good. Only one […] small problem was that children could only use the pool at certain times, understandable in one way, but this meant that our grandchildren missed out on using the pool at the times we were there. And this was another reason we had picked this hotel in this area was the fact it had a pool. But overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would definatly use it again. Mehr

elevators out of order, rooms ok decent, distant from everything only bus no subway close, breakfast good if taking the full one.

Nice to find a room with two double beds so we could all stay in the same room. Close to St Pancras for eurostar- under 5 minute taxi ride- less than £4.00

Great hotel for the money.

This hotel was conviniently located in a nice area of london. Our room was clean and confortable. Took a while to check in at reception but staff were friendly and efficient enough. Pool was closed which was a bit of a shame (although apparently there were some alternative arrangements). Would stay here again.

A nice atmosphere very helpful staff. Vrey handy for taxi, beside underground and with a leisure centre on site (this was closed for renovations when i stayed but would be a huge asset to enhance your stay)

Vi havde bestilt et familieværelse med 2 dobbeltsenge, men fik anvist et værelse med 1 dobbeltseng samt opredning på udslået sofa. Da vi klagede i receptionen over denne åbenlyse fejl (i forhold til vores medbragte papirer fra Hotels.com), var der ikke noget at gøre. Vi kunne få et rygerværelse... Efter højlydt klagen, gav de os dog det rigtige værelse. […] Ærgerligt at man bliver nødt til at hidse sig op. Meget dårlig start på ferien! Hotellet fungerer OK i øvrigt, men er meget slidt. Der er rent og gode faciliteter med pool og jacuzzi. Central beliggenhed med nem adgang til bus, Underground, taxi osv. Mehr
