Overall, we have been very pleased with the quality and service of the Holiday Inn Express Hotels--but this one was superlative. Not exactly a scenic location (although conveniently located near major highways, the turnpike and Meadowlands) but we were very impressed with everything at this hotel: nice showers with plenty of hot water, comfortable bedding, […] small kitchen and sitting area, and CLEAN. Breakfast was decent, staff was friendly and attentive. Really can't say enough good things about it--a great deal for the price! Mehr

This was the best all around hotel I have stayed at yet. Certainly the best bang for your buck. Loved it. Pool, great free breakfast, nice and helpful host's. Bus stop across the road. The management at this hotel was horrible my toilet in my room over flowed and they didn't send maintenance the gave me a plunger and told me maintenance went home. The indoor pool might have been outside it was so cold. When I asked for towels bc there wasn't any at the pool they didn't have Any by the pool they told me I had to wait that they were […] on break meanwhile the front desk clerk was talking on her cell having a personal conversation. This is just the start if u want the rest ask the bbb. U can stay at the Sheraton for 100$ more and I suggest you do so. Mehr

I chose this hotel because it was close to where I was working. It was comfortable and quiet. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was on a par with other free breakfasts in 2-3 star hotels. Nothing special but not bad. The internet access was reasonably fast and worked well.

I stayed for a week of business meetings and really enjoyed my stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff, indoor pool, fast internet, and breakfast buffet to go. would stay again.

The Jacuzzi tub was very dirty, i had to clean it myself!!!!!! The vending machines got stuck when trying to purchase. And the room was just not very nice. Seen hotels way nicer for the amount we paid!!!

I really enjoyed my stay, will return again soon

Hotel staff was very helpful and went above and beyond expectations. Breakfast was very good and the room was spacious. The microwave and refrigerator were also very convenient.

Got in late, got our room without any problems. Thought it'd be annoying to be directly across from the elevator, but we didn't hear a thing all night. Indoor pool was nice. The neighborhood wasn't amazing and the directions to actually arrive were a little confusing, but everything worked out. Friendly staff. Great stay.

This hotel was in great condition, very nice people working around. It was an excellent experience. Great value for my money.

My son and I stayed at this hotel while we were on a college visit. It was a little difficult to find as directions on website were poor and New Jersey seems to have an issure with street signs. Overall, the hotel was great. Clean, well-maintained...everything you weould expect from this chain. Staff helpful and friendly. Surrounding area is mostly […] industrial and the restaurant located next door is closed for refurbishing but others near by, but not within walking distance. Hotel was out of the way for me but the only one avaialble due to the recent storm and power outages

Came into town with some friends to go to a Jets game and see NJ/NY. The location for this place is excellent. You can get everywhere from here and have no worries about nothing being nearby. Great hotel, great service, great everything. Next time I go back to NY I'll be staying here again.

This is a lovely budget priced hotel that fits the bill if you don't want to spend a fortune staying in Manhattan and don't mind the bus journey. Outside of rush hours, it generally takes around 20 mins. This can be extended to 45 mins in rush hours or in the case of traffic problems. Bus timetable is unreliable, but you generally don't have to wait […] longer that 10-15 mins. Be aware that there are no bars, restaurants or shops within the vicinity. We stayed in mid October 2011 and Charlie Brown's Steakhouse next door was closed for renovation. Also, the hotel has no bar. All in all, we were very happy with our stay. Mehr

The room was nice but smell like smoke I called front desk they sent someone to spray didn't really help. The air-condition was alittle loud but every thing else was fine.

Great hotel experience only 15 minutes by bus to Times Square and close to a couple of excellent restaurants. I would never stay in Manhatten again when I can have the quality and price point of this hotel!

I had a great stay. The customer service was great, the room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast choices were a bit limited buy was still very good, also the place is hard to find you really have to be familiar with the area to not get lost, but its well worth the trip. We stayed here on a recent trip to the big apple and LOVED it. THis hotel was an excellent value. The bus connection to the city was right there, breakfast offered enough choices for everyone in our group. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We will definetely stay here again.

We have stayed in this hotel before because it is easy to get into New York on the local bus and much cheaper than staying in the city. On both occasions we have found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. One of the girls on the front desk even did our online check-in with the airline for us when we had trouble with the lobby computer […] and made sure we got window seats! There is a fairly good choice at breakfast, the beds are very comfortable and the buses run about every 20 mins straight into New York although you may have to stand at busy times. All in all thoroughly recommend this hotel. Mehr

The staff went above and beyond to help in many ways. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was nice for a small hotel. We drove and could easily get in and out of NYC.

Staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was plentiful and offered wide selection.

From beginning to end everything was perfect. The check in, Room was elegantly decorated. Everything worked. Plenty of pillows and towels. The breakfast was plentiful and there was an attending refilling the different coffee urns. Price was extremely reasonable for a weekend. Quiet. Ultra clean.

Good location, great breakfast, nice rooms, good pool, but most of all the staff was incredible. If you're looking for the right hotel for your stay near the Meadowlands and Izod Center (or even a short trip into NYC) this is the place for you.

Great location, close to the 163 NJ bus stop into Manhattan. Bus trip to/from the city ranged from 40 minutes during rush hour to 15 minutes. Finding the gate for the bus at PA Bus station a little confusing to find, check with the information desk as you enter the bus station. Generally the staff at the hotel very friendly. Loved the Hotel....had an issue with New Jersey transit but that isn't your fault.....we would recommend the hotel but we would fill them in on our transit troubles. Coming from Nova Scotia it wasn't an easy place to get to...again not your fault...bad google map!!! Maybe there was one issue with facecloths.....there were 4 of us and they always only […] left 3 facecloths may have had something to do with only 3 facecloth holes........Thanks Mehr

This was a great hotel for the price, especially so close to the city. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a nice view of the NYC skyline from our room (it's only a 5-6 minute drive to the lincoln tunnel) and the continental breakfast was noticeably better than most hotels. And to top it off we were upgraded […] to a jacuzzi suite at check-in at no additional cost! Lots of parking and we were able to leave a car there for the day after we checked out. We were utmostly surprised by the cost of EVERYTHING surrounding the hotel. The hotel itself was great although you really need to ask about everything if you want to get around- We tried to take the shuttle to go to the Cliffton Hill, but were not told which door to wait for the shuttle; when the shuttle finally got here, we were told that we needed […] the pass which should have been provided by the hotel we were staying. We were not told by any of the front desk staff. We went to Vinny's pizza place recommended by the hotel staff, but found out the drinks were not refilled free - so the drinks alone cost us more than $17. We ordered two pizzas and one salad, the bill came to apprx. $92 USD and due to the exchange rate ($1.00 Can= $1.03usd) they really upped the cost on everything. We love to view the falls but We were never so happy to leave Canada - the eating alone shortened our stays in this place. The housekeeping was not doing a good job cleaning our room the second day and I caught my toe on a piece of sharp metal embedded in the carpet and bled in the alcove. This should / could have been avoided if the housekeeping staff vacuumed thoroughly. We had a good city/fall view, while we were happy with the politeness of the front staff, it seemed the entire place was operated on the "need-to-know" basis - if we ever go there again, we will have to pack a picnic basket with plenty of food and drinks. We were told through Hotel.Com we would get two queen size beds, but on the arrival, we were given a king and a pull-out sofa bed. It made our sleeping arrangement rather painful - the hotel is not easy to locate with construction along the Patterson Plank Road, it was very hard to get to the location. The only close dining area is the Charlie Brown's […] Steakhouse that is next door to the hotel, we had better steaks in Outback Steakhouse. But their salad was decent enough. The housekeeping didn't clean the room enough and did not replace our toiletry. The room smelled a bit mildewy but once the a/c kicked in, we got used to it. The front desk staff was very helpful and although they apologized for not having the two queen size beds for us, they didn't exercise any damage control such as letting us know if anything would open up within the next three days during our stay. The pool is very small and there wasn't any air circulation in the area. You really have to love the sauna to enjoy sitting in the room watching your kids swimming. Mehr

I used hotels.com in November to book a night at this hotel in June, and I payed for the room when I booked it. When I arrived at the hotel after a six hour drive, they would not let me check in because I'm 19. Apparently you have to be over 21 to check in to this hotel even though it does not say this anywhere on the website. They also would not give […] me a refund because I booked it through hotels.com. After almost three hours of struggling with an uptight manager, we were only able to stay in the hotel because my friend's parents put down a $250 deposit for us to stay there. Then we got to our room and our toilet didn't flush. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone because they do not make their policies clear and the staff was not very understanding or accommodating. Mehr

The rooms were very clean and comfy. The breakfast was the best I've had a hotel. There was so much variety in foods. Stayed there for an event at the New Meadowlands Stadium and it was only about 5 mins away. Very conveinent!

The hotel itself was fine. The front desk staff were very good. To me traffic was difficult. I found driving around confusing.

Very accessible to NYC by bus, the stop is an easy walk and is the last one going into the city and the first one coming out. The only inconvenience there is the lack of anyplace to eat. The steakhouse next door is not good, avoid it. Very pleasant and helpful staff at the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

3 minutes walk from the hotel and you get buses (round trip fare is 8.50 dollars) to take you right into Times Square. Frequency of buses is quite good (ranges between 2 - 4 buses every hour) and buses are available till 01:00am. During non-peak hours you can reach Times Square in less than 20 minutes and during rush hours it may take around 45 -60 […] minutes. Rooms are quite good. Breakfast is good and microwave is there in each room. I did lot of researching on which hotel to stay and finally chose this one. It was worth it. Go for it, if you don't want to pay much but still stay in a excellent hotel from where you can access New York fast. Mehr

STAFF ARE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. IT'S CONVENIENT TO CATCH THE BUS TO TIME SQUARES. IT'S A GOOD CHOICE TO STAY WHEN TRAVEL TO NEW YORK CITY. I WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.
