Nach dem, was manche ehemaligen Besucher so über das Bank Hotel geschrieben hatten, musste einem ja fast Angst und Bange werden. Klar, es ist ersteinmal ungewöhnlich vom Kneipenpersonal ins Zimmer begleitet zu werden. Es ist halt kein klassisches Hotel, sondern eine Kneipe mit Zimmern. Die sind aber geräumig, gemütlich und für die Lage auch ruhig, zumindest im 2. Stock. Auch mit dem Wasser oder der Sauberkeit hatten wir keine Probleme. Einen Aufzug gibt es nicht, einen Hotel-Parkplatz ohnehin nicht. Aber leider auch keine Vergünstigung oder Kooperation mit anderen Parkhäusern/-plätzen. Fazit: Günstige Zimmer in bester Lage, kein vollwertiges 4-Sterne Hotel, aber ich würde es sicher nochmal buchen.

Wir waren sehr, sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Die MItarbeiter sind sehr freundich und zuvorkommend. Bei unserer Abfahrt bekamen wir sogar noch einen Frühstücksimbiss in die Hand gedrückt, weil wir schon vor dem eigentlichen Frühstück los mussten. Vieln Dank nochmal für die freundliche Aufnahme!

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und ein idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung der Stadt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren ok und das Frühstücksangebot gut.

"Tolle Lage"
Das Hotel liegt in einer Straße mit wunderschönen kleinen Kneipen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und die Zimmer absolut sauber und nett eingerichtet. Vor allen Dingen das Bad hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Ideale Lage am Grassmarket um alle wesentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen zu können und auch mal schnell in ein Pub gegenüber einzutauchen. Ausgestattet mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, um sich nach anstrengenen Stadtbesichtigungstouren erholen zu können. Zuvorkommendes, freundliches Personal. Alles in allem auch seinen Preis wert!

hotel is walking distance to everywhere, ideal location. breakfasts are well worth the extra price, rooms are well appointed, beds are very comfortable. agua restaurant was excellent, good range of good food. will use again without a doubt.

"ONE OF THE BEST"
Love staying at this hotel, rooms are fantastic and spacious, lovely shower and bath. Just across the grassmarket to the bars and restaurants. Reception staff very helpful. Can't fault this hotel.

"Great location in Edinburgh"
Location is great! Very convenient to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Several restaurants right across the street from the hotel. Hotel itself is clean and neat, but basic/no frills. Magda at front desk was VERY nice and helpful.
I've been to nicer 4 star hotels however the location is very central. We booked room only and found the price for breakfast very expensive (£13.50 pp) so we ate at some local cafe's instead.

Good location with car parking nearby and short (uphill) walk to castle and good choice of restaurants. Comfortable room, welcoming staff. Breakfast expensive but there are plenty of good cafes nearby offering breakfast at half the price.

The location is the highlight of this hotel, our room had a lovely view of the castle, the hotel is modern and comfortable. However the big downfall for me was cleanliness or lack of it. The mattress protector was dirty on our bed, there was a strong smell of fake tan in our bed and neither I nor my husband wear fake tan, When I complained to staff […] they changed the mattress protector and the bottom sheet but failed to change the rest of the linen so the smell of fake tan lingered on for our second night. loved this hotel, very clean and comfy, Rooms size was small for a supierior roombut truly was big enough, tv was great, shower and bath :-) Room services was great very help full staff Breakfast wasnt great and was very very expensive!
"Apex City -- Good hotel in great location"
This hotel was clean and well maintained. It needed a few updates and the shower pressure wasn't great but the staff were very friendly and it met our needs. It's located on the Grassmarket and I thought it was the best place to stay in Edinburgh -- it's so close to everything!

Apex City Hotel Edinburgh was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is well located is the area of Grassmarket, which is a short (slightly hilly) walk from the main down-town area of Edinburgh. "Apex City Hotel Edinburgh - Quality and good price"
Good gotel and a competitive rate. Situated in a nice area convenient to pubs and restaurants. About 15 minutes walk from Princes Street the main shopping area. Breakfast was a bit disappointing so would recommend not paying for breakfast but eating out. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent location where you are in easy walking access to all of the city. Staff at hotel are friendly and always willing to assist. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Would recommend others to stay here.

Four Norwegian guys had a great time in Edinburgh in this hotel. Perfect location for Night life and good dining. 5 minutes walk to georg street, princes st. and which is the best shopping area. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful old houses in the Grassmarket area. The hotel staff was very helpful with booking restaurants and recommending places. […] The drain in the shower was a bit clogged, which is the only reason I didn't give full score for cleaning. Breakfast was decent, but the selection wasn't very good. I can recommend Hula, which is an organic smoothie bar for breakfast. They have other stuff as well. Reasonably priced and very good food. Mehr

Stayed here recently, loved this hotel. Everything was perfect in the hotel, staff were friendly, rooms were beautiful, close to most of the sights around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable place slightly away from the busier centre.

Great location, close to all the bars, restaurants, short walk to Royal Mile. We asked for a castle view and we got it! Very clean room, great service and tasty breakfast with a full Scottish breakfast with Haggis. Very well recommended for couples.
We really enjoyed our stay, very comfortable room and very central to all attractions. Staff were efficient and friendly, and really helpful in making bookings at local attractions for us. I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends.

This hotel is a real find in terms of quality, price and location. We stayed for one night before moving to more expensive hotel the next night due to a late arrival but could easily have stayed for the entier stay.

This hotel is located close to all the major attractions in Edinburgh and is really good value for money. The only thing that could be further improved would ventilation. It would be great if it was possible to open the windows or if air con would have been available.
