Best Western Plus Hotel Stellar - Surry Hills

Ich habe dieses Hotel hauptsächlich wegen der Lage und des guten Preisleistungsverhältnis gewählt. Schade ist nur, dass wie bei den meisten Hotels hier für wifi Internet Zugang teuer bezahlt werden muss.

... dafür hat es diskret Ohrstöpsel in der Nachttisch Schublade. Mit dem erholsamen Schlaf ist das jedoch so eine Sache...

Freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal,erteilt gute touristische Informationen. Grosszügige modern gestaltete saubere Zimmer. Einziger Negativpunkt: beim Zimmer mit Blick auf Strasse trotz Doppelverglasung sehr grosser Lärmpegel vom Verkehr. Faires Preisleistungsverhältnis für Sydney.

I've stayed here once before and was not disappointed this time. It is close to beautiful Hyde Park, Oxford Street, buses and trains and many restaurants. And it has an added bonus of a DVD player in the room which if you're travelling by yourself is great. The only thing I would change is breakfast. Hotel was fine for the 4 nights we spent in Sydney. Only negative is that the area is near Oxford street and going out at night would not be recommended. It is unfortunate but the area is full of druggies/drunks and the police even warned us about walking around after dark

Nice, clean hotel for a reasonable price just outside of Sydney's business district. Beautiful Hyde Park is just across the street, and a large array of great restaurants can be found in nearby Paddington and Darlinghurst neighborhoods. The Opera House, Circular Quay, and Darling Harbor are within walking distance.

Centrally located and within walking distance of CBD and 15 minute walk to circular quay. Clean and tidy hotel with helpful staff.

Stellar hotel is convenient when travelling in from airport on Express train - about 200 metres from nearest station. Depressing looking building but rooms are clean and quite spacious. We had a kitchenette in our 'deluxe' room - basically a fridge, microwave kettle etc. We booked breakfast as part of our deal but it was a very limited choice with no […] hot options. There were no other guests using this facility apart from ourselves and it was located in the basement of the hotel; the hotel had an attached cafe which was well-used and would have been a better option. Sydney's hotels are expensive and this one offers adequate facilities at a relatively reasonable price. Mehr

Hotel Stellar does not have much of a lobby, and is run by a very limited staff, but the location of the hotel is great with convenient stores close by, and Chinatown within walking distance. The room we stayed in was clean and roomy, and although no stove, the microwave in the kitchenette made reheating leftovers very easy.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The location was great as it was close to Darling Harbour, CBD, buses, central train station & beautiful Hyde Park etc. There was a good choice of eating places close by and hotel which had good music on the weekend. The hotel was clean, central and with very friendly, obliging staff.

Rapt great spot, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and double glazing for quiet night. Only down fall was the parking. only for small cars. we scrapped our car.

A very confortable hotel located within easy walking distance to the Sydney CBD. I will use it again.

Hotel Stellar is a great hotel - excellent location and great staff! We managed to get a great deal here on Hotels.com for a Deluxe studio at the same price of a standard one on other sites, which was great! It was quite spacious and the kitchenette was well equipped. The only "negative" was that our room was on the side of a busy road, so, if you're […] a very light sleeper, it might keep you up (but just request a room away from the road). If you need to use the internet, they offer computers close by reception, or you can use wi-fi (about $3 for 1/2 hour, $5 for 1 hour, etc, but the best deal is 7-days worth of internet which seemed ridiculously cheap - around $10-$15, I think it was?). It's not a difficult walk down to World Square or close by areas. I would definitely recommend Hotel Stellar to anyone! :) Mehr

Hotel was in great location right in the city's CBS. Only issue was parking, we did not prebook parking therefore could only get 1 night at the hotels parking, so had to find alternative for the other 2 nights. Room was great would stay again

The Best Western Stellar in Surry Hills is very well located (i.e. walking distance to Surry, Central, CBD, Hyde Park, Darlinghurst etc) However as a result they have built the world's tiniest car space. The parking section fits 8 small cars and is like a mission impossible for even Austin Powers himself. The cost is $20 a day which only allows you […] 2pm - 10am the following day (kind of pointless if the whole reason you are staying there is to explore the city for the day). The person I was staying with had a back injury at the time and we asked reception if we could extend out parking space till 12pm, she advised it would be $20 per hour even though the garage was empty and would remain that way until 2pm. She eventually begrudingly agreed to let us leave the car till 11.30am. The rooms were nice and clean, large bathroom. TV didn't work well at all. We got 3 channels, not the movie channel that was advertised and all were shaky and out of focus. We also paid the extra $45 a night for a roll-away bed but were only allowed 1 towel each and 4 tea bags, 5 UHT milks (there were 3 of us) so a big stingy. All in all a good location, but quite noisy with guests having loud conversations in the hallway from 6am and street noise keeping people awake until then. Mehr

I found this hotel on the internet. It had positive reviews and to be fair all were true. It is close to transport and is centrally located. The Manager supplied us with a map of Sydney and told us about the free 555 buses that run. The only small niggle was the bar fridge. We had two rooms - ours had a 3/4 full bottle of soft drink and no cans (over […] the two days staying there) and the other room had an opened bottle of water and also a frozen one. Small things in the big picture . There is a 7/11 next door. If your booking has breakfast included, make sure that you mention this on arrival, as the receptionist did not automatically tell us the location of the breakfast room and we had to remind her of the fact. Our departure fight was late in the afternoon and we were able to store our luggage for the day . This hotel does not look like much from the outside, but more than makes up for that on the inside. Modern and comfortable rooms which are also quite large, excellent service and it's close proximity to both the city centre as well the the Oxford St entertainment district made this one of my most enjoyable stays in Sydney. Stayed at this hotel for two weeks in March and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is conveinently situated in sydney, close to most tourist sites. Hotel was very clean and staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel had internet access which was also very conveinent , but please make sure you log off with a code given or it uses all your paid time!! Only […] had one issue where I was disappointed. Arrived at 07.30hours after travelling on flights totalling 26hours, couldn't check in until 2pm! Although this was bit of a pain it was clearly stated prior to booking that check in is 2pm. Mehr

I was very happy with our experience at Hotel Stellar. All of the staff were friendly & went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Breakfast was included. We had Paulo serve us each morning & he was a pleasure to get to know. They all gave us any tips/advice we wanted. The room came w/ear plugs! This was superb hotel with apartment feel to it. I highly recomend it especially if you will be staying in sydney for a longer period.

Definitely would recommend Hotel stellar. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything and close to transportation. The staff were very helpful and when asked if I could extend checkout for one hour they immediately said yes. The room was big and comfortable. The only thing I would change would be the lighting. I'm all for going "green" […] but the save energy bulbs that were in the main room made the room feel industrial and flourescent. Bedside reading light was poor quality. Hotelli sijaitsee vilkasliikenteisen kadun varrella aivan Hyde Parkin kupeessa.Sijainti oli hyvä. Hotellista oli helppo lähteä kävellen liikenteeseen. Nähtävyydet sijaitsevat pienen kävelymatkan päässä. Myös rautatieasema löytyy läheltä. Liikenteen melu kantautui huoneeseen,mutta muuta meteliä ei huoneeseen kantautunut. 호텔 로비가 너무 작아서 별 기대 안하고 올라갔는데 객실도 넓고, 특히 취사시설도 잘되어있고... 편안하고 좋았습니다. 특히 기억에 남는건 호텔 직원의 친절..함이네요~~

Hôtel très sympa, chambre grande et très propre. Internet trop cher, mais ceci est vrai pour tout le pays!
