sehr gute lage zum strand nur 2minuten zu fuss. restaurants und geschäfte in der nähe alles zu fuss erreichbar. gute ausgangslage für ausflüge und shopping-touren sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite mitarbeiter pool ist auch ok frühstück typisch amerika plastik aber ok gibt besseres wir kommen wieder auf jeden fall...

i stayed at this hotel from 3/31/12-4/5/12. The lobby for check in is about a 12L X 8W room setup with a counter. The gentleman who checked me in was nice to give me my room about 3 hours before check in. Upon entering the room everything look normal but there was a smell that i could not tell what it smells like but my 3 year old son said 'it stinks". […] After i started walking around, i noticed there is dust throughout the room, especially on the shelve in the closet and on the bed headboards. There is no iron or ironing board in the room. (Bathroom) Some of the tile grouts in the bathroom were black as though there is a mold issue. The window in the bathroom has spider webs; i actually killed one of the spider and clear the web before my family noticed it. Also, the bathroom window is screwed shut to prevent someone from opening it. i didn't find any complementary soap, shampoo, or conditioner that most places provide.(make sure to bring your own) The white toilet has brown stains that resemble urine stains. (Room) My wife found a stain on the bed she thought is blood stain. The comforter has burn on it. One of the lamps light flicker throughout our stay and at times it provides no light for about 10 seconds periodically. The door to the room does not have a safety latch. Good things about this Hotel 1) The price is reasonable 2) The room is a good size 3) It's at a good location - in walking distant to all the activities the area has to offer 4) It has a pool the goes from 3 to 8 feet deep 5) The air condition unit always work 6) There is a fridge and microwave Mehr

I knew it was an older hotel, but their idea of remodeling seems to be recaulking over the mold, calling the rooms "non smoking" but not repainting the walls/new carpet after it was previously a smoking room, and plastic over 1 of the mattresses so I felt like I was sleeping on a plastic diaper all night when I tossed and turned and heard the "crinkle" […] noise--what's that all about?! The staff is nice, the tiki bar area is great, good service, music, prices, pool table, atmosphere. I wouldn't bath my child in the bath tub, and had slightly dirty feet walking barefoot on the floors :( RENOVATION NEEDED PLS! Mehr

Cheap by Ft; Lauderdale standards on a "pre-Cruise" day. Clean, enough hot water for 1 person to shower. Tiki Hut plays loud music, so if you don't want to listen into the night ask for a room away from there. Within walking distance to beach. Most electrical outlets don't work, escepially in bathroom.

It was nice for the price. Get what you pay for .. Nice tiki bar...

We have been travelling all over Florida for 3 weeks, staying mainly in more upmarket hotels. We were only stopping one night in Fort Lauderdale to break up the long journey, so absolute comfort was not essential. The motel room was very clean, the bed comfortable. It is disgusting - one choice of cereal, cheap orange juice (almost orange squash) and toast and coffee. The hotel is on a main road which can be a little noisy, but it is also very close to the beach. However, a 10 minute walk away, leads you to the Commercial Boulevard area which is bustling with restaurants, bars and shops. We ate at Angelins on the pier which serves great food. Mehr

When We Arrived The Guest Service Attendant Was Very Rude & Shady. He Told Me I Would Have A King Bed & We Did Not. He Forgot To Return My License. It Was A Good Thing I Realized My License Was Missing Because They Never Called Me Or Brought It Up To The Room. They Made No Attempt To Return My License. Upon Arriving At The Room It Was Filthily. I Thought […] There Was The Finish Was Off The Tub. It Turned Out It Was Sand. The Drain Didn't Work In The Tub. When I Took A Shower I Was Standing In Dirty Sandy Water Up To The Mid Calf Of The Leg. The Refrigerator Hummed All Night. There Was Leftover Food In The Refrigerator. The Bed Had A Board Between The Mattress And The Box Spring. The Floor Would Have Been More Comfortable. The Microwave Had The Turn Table Missing. The Music Playing Outside Was Louder Than TV. It Played Until 4:00 In The Morning Which Didn't Allow Us To Get Very Much Sleep. The Floor So Dirty That When I Went To Go Into The Tub The Bottom Of The Tub Was Black Because Of The Dirt On My Feet. They Never Cleaned The Floor. When I Put On The Towel On The Floor It Was Black. When I Asked For More Towels & Wash Cloths They Said They Didn't Have Any. I Then Asked The Guest Service Attendant For Another Room Because My Room Was So Nasty. They Didn't Have Any To Offer. They Were Sold Out. When I Checked Out I Told The Guest Service Attendant The Room Was Fifthly And That I Would Not Recommended This Hotel To Anyone. We Own A Travel Agency. We Will Never Recommended For Any Of Our Clients To Stay At This Hotel. Mehr

In my opinion, this hotel was overpriced for the product. The location was fine, was able to walk across the road and be on the Atlantic Ocean. We got stuck with the room, where when opening our door we nearly hit the back of the people sitting at the bar...music might as well been in our room...

We liked the area, I requested a hotel on the beach. This hotel is located across the street behind 3 or 4 super large hotels. We requested to be move, because of the noise from the Spring Breakers. It was alot better than the Ocean shore resort in Daytona Beach FL.

All rooms face A1A a major road....you do hear traffic. However we travel with ear plugs so this did not bother us! The staff went out of their way to make our stay a nice one. Eric is a jack of all trades....he was able to fix the TV and my computer. He even works as a cook in the on-site resturant. Speaking of the resturant....we had no complaints. […] Eat there twice. The "Free" breakfast in the am is the basic toast, ceral, juice and coffee. The pool was not heated but a 5 minute walk puts you at the ocean....our room was clean and having a micowave and ice box was a nice addition. The bar area was also clean. Daily drink specials also. You get what you pay for. It is not the nicest hotel but it was clean and in a great location. The staff was great and there is a tiki bar! It was exactly what I was looking for.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost and the location on A1A (opposite Galt Ocean Mile). We had easy access to relatives in Pompano Beach. The landscaping is very lush and mature and you can hardly hear the road traffic on A1A. There's a Tiki Bar, pool in front and a little Greek Restaurant. You can […] order your food and sit inside or out. The hotel is one of the older ones but rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. A/C works great. The staff are helpful and very personable. It's 3 stories high (has an elevator), is very "long" and is painted a beautiful orange color. There's free parking on the premises. We would definitely stay here again! Mehr

This is a nice older hotel. It is right on A1A by Commercial Blvd and is very convenient. It is not fancy. The room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. As an older person I was grateful that the desk clerk put me away from the tiki bar without being asked.

MY GIRLFRIEND AND I STAYED THERE JAN 27 TIL FEB 4. MAID SERVICE WAS NOT GREAT. CLEANLINESS JUST SOSO. IT LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS A GOOD DEEP DOWN CLEANING. MANDY AT THE TIKI BAR WAS VERY NICE. BEDS COULD BE BETTER.

The bar area was entertaining but lacked some provisions. The pool was very nice but not heated. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Plastic on beds very irritating. Worst part was trying to find the person working the lobby when we were both checking in and out. Nice for one night out.

No idea how to run a hotel 2 kids are at reception and they are rude.

You can see that they tried to make updates, it's clean, we had a cabana suite, which was suppose to come with a microwave, fridge, ironing board and iron. The rio was big, we had no ironing board or iron, the hair dryer outlet was broken, the microwave wasn't fully working. The bathroom was remodeled recently which was nice, but the funny thing was […] the shower rod was broken? The closet was overlooked in the renovation it was scary. I see these things being in the industry for over twenty years and my husband in the renovation business. But the property is very clean and good value. This hotel was old and out dated and very far from the main shopping and dining area of fort lauderdale it was a 15 dollar taxi ride back to that area.

The room is very basic & dated. It appears that the maintenance and updating of the hotel has been deferred. The linens, towels, & pillows are very old. The Hotel has an outdoor bar between the parking lot and rooms (which is approximately 10 ft away from some rooms). The bar can be very noisy into the early morning hours.

I believe that the Ft. Lauderdale Hotel might have seen better days as far as the condition of its rooms. The outside and public areas were charming, inviting, clean. The cafe had delicious food, freshly prepared by the most pleasant woman! Our housekeeper gave me the impression that she liked her job and went out of her way to be accomodating! The […] entire staff, which I believe was basically one family, made the guests feel as if they were a team and genuinely enthused to have us and that we enjoy our stay! What the rooms lacked in general upkeep, the staff made up for in charm, assistance, friendly faces. The Tiki bar was inviting as well and bartenders became "new best friends"! By the end of the week, even the other guests shared the feeling that everyone knew each other for some time and there were no strangers! I recommend this hotel for families who want to escape the northern cold and bask in the Florida Sun and enjoy what it has to offer. The location is convenient to have an absolutely wonderful time! I would return and recommend Ft. Lauderdale Resort to most! A personal note: if you are traveling with Children..spend the afternoon on the "High Seas" with The BlueFoot Priates! The room was clean. However, this hotel does not have a water view. The mattress felt like cardboard. The bathroom required maintenance. The grout around the tub surround was falling apart. And there were rust spots on the tub. A bit of modernization wouldn't hurt. We actually had to open the bathroom window while taking showers because there was no […] bathroom fan. The "Tiki Bar" is a large area covered by a blue tarp. One young man, who was bartender one day, and worked the desk another, was very unfriendly. His responses consisted of nods, shakes of his head, or monosyllables. Also, it seems like several people live in this motel. This affected the atmosphere a little. It IS a pet friendly hotel, and that is why I chose it. Next time, it would be easier to stay away from the water, because parking at the beach was very simple. To start with i will not suggest this hotel to anyone at all! it's a horrible and dirty, cheap hotel that doesn't care at all about clean or well kept it is. During my stay i changed between 3 different rooms in hopes of getting one decent one that didn't smell or look like crap, upon walking into any of the rooms i was in you could smell a stinky […] unclean smell that was mixed with smoke, the sheets and covers were disgusting and were over washed. the staff were not helpful at all and were often clueless about anything In short i'll just repeat and say it was a horrible experience and i left after 3 days and moved to another hotel around that area, also in closing i'll say i'm ashamed that hotels.com would even post or link such a terrible and unkept hotel in their site. We are disappointed. We booked delux room with higher rate, expecting to get what we saw from the internet. The picture on the internet showed a balcony in the room but they don't have ANY room like that. I found we paid more for nothing. THE HOTEL NEEDS RENOVATIONS !!!!

Although one of the rooms had an odd odor, overall we enjoyed our stay here.

So much of my stay had to do with the quiet time I was able to enjoy. I live today about three blocks from a hospital, sirens all the time. There at the hotel it was so quiet. Wonderfully sized room in an older but greatly maintained building. Exterior corridors and a large window in the bathroom that brings extra light into the room. lt was a pretty good value. Across the street from the beach with a nice pool. They advertise 'free' breakfast, but it only includes carbos and breads. No fruit, no eggs -- or you have to pay $7 for the 'good' breakfast. l had a lot of trouble with the internet in my room also, as l had to pull the desk all the way across the room next to the door.

Noisy motel full of drunk older men and women smoking in the bar til after midnight. Room had left over case of empty beer - roomed smelled awful. No internet anywhere. Office was closed for long periods of time throughout the day.

It was ok. people were friendly but sheets in the rooms have a bunch of holes on them

I liked the location of the Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was convenient. It was an enjoyable vacation.

This hotel is truly awful. Anyone who rates it above a 1 must be related to the owners. The hotel is NO WHERE NEAR the beach. Across the street is a building, you have to go down the block and across the street to find beach access. The mattress was wrapped in plastic which crinkled all night. The sheets had burn holes in them (so much for non smoking) […] and had the feel of burlap. I think maybe they were World War 2 surplus. The bathroom is only slightly larger than a closet. The air conditioner sounded like a jet plane taking off. It would wake me up every time it cycled on, not that I was sleeping much anyway because of the PLASTIC COVERED mattress. What kind of hotel wraps their mattresses in plastic? The room was somewhat clean but very very old. Everything was run down, tiles coming off the wall, etc. We arrived late for a 2 night stay but left early the next morning. I had prepaid for both nights but decided about 2 in the morning (when the party people starting wandering the exterior halls) that we were not staying. I forfeited my second night money, it was worth it. Parking is atrocious, a few spaces in front but most of them are in back where you are seriously concerned for your safety. The continental breakfast is a joke, no that you would want to eat in the "cafe" anyway. Especially when you see who is working in there fixing the food. Air conditioned public areas? There are no public areas, only an outside bar. DO NOT STAY HERE Mehr

Hotel located on busy noisy highway, beach access a block away and no place to park.. There is no view of the ocean or easy access. Room was musty smelling, paint peeling, filthy dirty tile floor. The bathroom and hotel room needs upgrading, tub & toilet rusty, lights out, no security lock on door, and the mattress was awful. The A/C unit kept going […] on and off no matter where it was set! Noisy outside pool bar open until 2AM, people yelling music, etc. "Free" breakfast consisted of frozen waffles & donuts that were terrible! If you wanted the eggs or bacon that had been sitting on the warmer, they charged $6.99! I've stayed at a lot of moderately priced hotels and this was the worse, it was the pits! Mehr

Checking in was the only "good" part....until we got to the room. First of all, the reservations were made for two Queen-sized beds and all they have are double beds. There was food left in the refrig. from the previous guests...yuck! We were there for three days and the room was "cleaned" only once, if you call making the beds cleaning...no garbage […] was picked up and the floor was not cleaned, but they were quick to take a tip which we had left for housekeeping...go figure! Oh yes, when I went to complain at the front desk, no apology was given, but he did hand me some garbage bags so we can put out the garbage ourselves...how nice of him. Also, the pool is really, really small....so don't plan on swimming there. AND the beds are hard and uncomfortable.....So, my advice, honestly....STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE....there are PLENTY of nicer places in the area. Mehr

filthy room, hall and elevator and not cleaned or vacuumed bad smell. pool had empty beer cans on the bottom and plastic floating in th water manager was friendly and agreed, he has not good help.

Price was great - property was not maintained regularly - 2 to 3 attempts with the key-card to get into my room every time - door knob was about to fall off - street light from rear parking lot shinning through the bathroom window and another bright light from the fountain outside my front door shined in through the curtains. Staff was nice, but distant. […] I wouldn't recommend, but given the price and location, might stay there again (just bring night eye wear and not valuables) Mehr
