Days Inn Liberty/Kansas City - Liberty

The hotel is relatively clean, but the beds are terrible and the place needs some work. Railing on sencond floor by our room is falling off and unsafe for small children. If you are looking for a cheap place to just stay for the night, and don't mind a little mold or a place that needs repair, this is the place for you. We were in town for the STP 400 NASCAR race. Rooms were hard to get and we found this Days Inn. It was not great but was not horrible either. The room had been painted quite poorly and the clothes rack was about to pull from the wall. The plus side was there was in room coffee, fridge, microwave, hair dryer and most importantly, Wireless Internet with […] an awesome signal. There was a continental breakfast in the lobby that Looses pretty good but we did not partake. After all, there was a NASCAR race about to happen. Overall it was good for what we paid for it. I would recommend it if on a budget or no other rooms are available in the area. Mehr

We supposedly had a non-smoking room. The cigarette smell was VERY obvious from the time we opened the door. Very old building. Very small room. Won't be back.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is bare-bones basic with no frills. Room outside door lock was not secured; would not lock to keep strangers nor would be intruders from entering room.

Personel at hotel were very accomodating. The linens are white, white and the sheets "crispy". We were close to our family and I35. Was very happy that we chose this hotel with theassistance of your much helpful representative who made our reservation. Thank You! Kenneth & Lois

Ceiling on outter landing was falling apart, railing on second floor was loose and looked as though it was broken before, not fixed properly at all!! Floor in room was caving in spots, holes of all sorts in walls/doors, could look right out the door through the 1/4 inch crack with door CLOSED, one bed had sheets with urine all over them-never changed, […] bathroom had hairs on floor, several trash items under the beds that were never picked up. Averall good rating, exept one receptionist from India, with no serivce attitude, rude and lacking english skills.

Don't waste your money on this place. The door knob would only open when you pulled up on it. The beds were uncomfortable, and the room smelled stuffy (cause they had the air turned off). During the night, a strange smell kept coming in our room when the air conditioner would kick on. The shower head would only work on full massage, and it flooded the […] bathroom floor, when I got out of the shower, their was other peoples hair in the edge of the wall. Wasn't quite as bad as the reviews suggested. It is a motel and a cheap one at that. I wouldn't stay in any Days Inn after that.

We arrived at hotel in 110 degree heat and our non-smoking room reeked of stale smoke. They tried to move us next door but couldn't get the door open for quite some time. Meantime we were roasting. They did try to be helpful. Bathroom was supposed to be handicap accessible but no way the grab bar could be reached. It also smelled of smoke but not as […] bad as the previous room. The hotel lobby had a distinct odor to it. My refrigerator would not get very cold because the temperature knob inside was broken. The temperature of the shower water was hard to control. The only soda machine was out of every flavor. Overall the hotel was clean and the location was not bad if you are going to oceans or worlds of fun. I booked online and confirmed with the night manager when I checked in that we would receive the advertised 15% discount for staying 2 nights with them. When I checked out following the 2nd night, the morning manager said they were not required to participate in the advertised program and refused to give me the discounted price. We planned to visit the historic sites of Liberty, although we got into town super late and was unable to do so. The hotel was nice for the location and price - main reason we stayed at this hotel. So if we ever make it back to the KC area and want to try a Liberty historic site seeing trip, yes we'll stay at this Day's Inn.

For the minimal cost, this hotel was not bad. The rooms are kind of small (especially compared to the hotel we stayed in the night before). Since all we needed was a place to crash, it suited our needs. The building is old, and the rooms haven't been updated in quite some time, but it was clean.

I spent the night in this hotel on a recent move. I chose it because it had a low rate, but that was just that, a low rate for a low rate of service and cleanliness. There were pubic hairs all over the bathrooms, the toilet had #2 stains, the lady working the desk was slow and hard to understand, i had to ask her several times where my room was before […] she answered properly, and kept talking on the phone while she was helping me. the paint was chipping off the walls, the shower didn't work properly, there were no extra locks on the doors, the dresser was broken, the air conditioner did not work properly and there was no outlets to even plug in our phones. the only thing this hotel had was nice pillows. I will never stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone else. Mehr

Staff at front desk were extremely rude. I was treated not as a guest of the hotel, but as an inconvenience. Yes the rates are amongst the lowest in the area, but I know next time I'm spending my money else where.

bugs, mattress stained with something red, dresser drawers and cabinet broken, door would not close. The staff that didn't care. In short this was the worst motel I've ever seen in 45 years of business and personal trave.

This was totally sub-par compared to other Days Inns I have stayed at. I think it was under a different flag before it was Days Inn so it was old and small without ammenities. It advertised a pool but it was not open for use when we were there. My bedspread smelled of urine and the AC in my daughter's room did not work well. Not very fancy, but clean and generous on the pillows. Very close to visitors to William Jewell.

What a horrible experience. I had to go and buy air freshner just to sleep in the room for one night. The room was ragged. the sheets were torn and dingy the room was not clean. Thank God I only stayed one night. Horrible! Hortible! Horrible!

The hotel is an older motel that has seen better days, but is in OK condition. The free breakfast was a little skimpy, but the stay was a good value for the low price we paid.

My daughter and I stayed here so we could visit William Jewell College. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well priced. I was a little weary due to the other reviews I had read, but surprised to find them incorrect when I arrived. Yes, the contiental breakfast needs help!, and you could smell Indian food in the lobby, but overall our stay was very […] good. It was a very nice stay. The people at the front desk were very helpful and even called the room after we checked in to make sure everything was o.k.

They put me in a room that was apparently under construction as there were half-hearted attempts at drywall repair,unpainted trim and holes in the wall. When I turned on the shower, the water was initially dark, so I went without bathing. There were no cups or tissue in the room. Stay away!

Everything was pretty much as I expected it to be. We went on a 2 day (one night) short family trip with 12 people. I needed something inexpensive since I had to get multiple rooms. It was a decent place to sleep and shower. The tv worked and the pool was adequate.

I would not recommend this hotel. I think Days INN needs to remove this one from the chain or change management. This Hotel needs completely overhauled from roof to floor.

It was ok. Just as expeced for the amount of money we spent. But the checkout was kind of uncomfortable. There were two people fighting and didn't seem to care to stop as we walked in. they took the key and said a quick thaanks and continued to argue. also the lobby smelled oif very strong india food, the curry smell was a bit too strong.

I wasn't expecting much considering the low price, but this hotel is dirty, old, and worn. We had black mold growing on the ceiling in the first room. One section of the ceiling about a foot wide was solid black. Gross. When changing to the second room, there was only mold on the bathroom walls. Hair on floors, sticky carpet, not very clean. I stayed in this hotel for two nights that weren't consecutive, so I had two different rooms. The rooms were clean, but the mattress in the first room was awful. You would sit on one side of it and the other side would curl up. We slept horribly. The continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. At all. It was hardly edible because the few pastries […] they offered were so stale, and the juice was so watered down. I love Indian food, but the lobby had such an overwhelming curry smell from the owners living quarters. This would turn my stomach especially at 7am when I was trying to get some breakfast. Got in to town right before an important appointment so I just checked in and didn't go to my room until late at night. When I got to the room and opened the door the lights and tv were on the bed wasn't made and the room was a mess--I didn't even go all the way in. I went to the office and told them and they gave me a different room and made it sound […] like they were doing me a favor by giving me a room with two beds instead of one--how many beds can one person sleep in at one time? Their excuse for the room was that housekeeping must have missed it. Other than that, I've stayed there before so I didn't expect much--a clean bed, cable, and a bathroom are all I needed and that's what I paid for. Mehr

For the amout I paid this is a great motel to stay on over night travel. Room was a little small and the motel has seen some wear. Great location for everything you need when traveling

I always felt that Days Inns were a good quality hotel. This one is old and in need of major renovations, especially the bathrooms. The breakfast was disappointing and unappetizing. The lobby was a sad. Definately won't be staying there again!

needs improvement--we requested a nonsmoking room but it reeked of smoke so they took us to another room which also reeked--then they took us to an employee only room which was slightly better but still smelly--we stayed but only because it was late and we had no other option ---do not go there unless you are a smoker--it appears it is mostly used by […] weekly live ins so it was on the trashy side too.
