Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und sehr liebenswertes, multi-sprachiges Personal. Schönes Frühstücksbüffet neben dem Pool-Gärtchen. 100m bis zum lokalen Busterminal, wo die Busse zu den Wasserfällen abfahren. Hier bekommt man noch einen Sitzplatz im Bus!

sehr nettes Hostel. auch familiengeeignet.die zimmer haben alles was man braucht u haben mwhr platz als so manches 4stern hotel. man kann pizzaservice bestellen u am pool verzehren:-) flughafenlinuenbus nr 160 hält nahe hostel. das hotel bietet auch flughafentranafer um 35R$.zum wasserfall nimmt man denselben bus (ca 2.50 R$). man sollte aber unvedingt auch d argentin. seite besichtigen. die stadt foz do iguaçu ist noch ein ganzes stück vom hostel entfernt u ist auch überhaupt nicht schön - im fegenteil zu puerto iguaçu (argent.) was echt nett u preiswerter ist. dad hostel ist aber für nucht zu hohe ansprüche absolut empfehlenswert!

Als wir uns ein Hotel in Foz do Iguaçú gesucht haben, wollten wir ein ganz einfaches Hotel ohne Luxus aber doch sauber, mit einem schönen Frühstück und einer familiärischen Atmosphäre. Damit haben wir mit der Águas do Iguaçú erreicht. Die Mitarbeiter sind super nett und hilfsbereit, die Reception ist vorbereitet für jedes Problem, das Hotel und die Zimmer riechen nur nach Sauberkeit, das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und man kann mit denen handeln über alles. Und man kriegt doch alles. Spaß gemacht, vielleicht ehrlich gesagt das kriegt auch an mir, normalerweise wo ich bin außerhalb Deutschland bekomme ich alles was ich möchte da ich mit Menschen und Respekt sehr gut umgehen kann. Und das ist schon ein halber Weg... Ich kann nur sagen wenn ich jemals in Foz do Iguaçú Urlaub machen werde, würde ich gerne zurück zum Águas do Iguaçú gehen. Die Lage des Hotels ist klasse als Ausgangspunkt für die Falls sowohl zur brasilianischen wie auch zur argentinischen Seite, und dem Itaipu-Staudamm, wenn man günstig mit dem Bus unterwegs sein möchte (was in Foz do Iguacu wirklich einfach funktioniert), da der zentrale Busbahnhof gleich 200m um die Ecke ist. An der Hotelrezeption bekommt man in Englisch alle Informatioen, die man braucht (über die Busse, Nationalparks, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, usw.); sehr guter Service hier! Der große Supermarkt inkl. Geldautomaten ist übrigens ebenfalls nicht viel weiter als der Busbahnhof entfernt. Tip: Die argentinische Seite über eine Tour buchen, z. B. sehr günstig im Hostel nebenan; hier wird man mit Kleinbus am Morgen über die Grenze direkt zum Parkeingang gebracht und dort 7-8 Stunden später wieder abgeholt. So spart man sich sicher zwei mal 1-2 Stunden Grenzformalitäten...
Lage
Hotel Cataratas liegt in Iguaçu in der Nähe von: La Aripuca und Guira Oga. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehört Folgendes: Iguassu Boulevard.

"Vorsicht! - es gibt zwei Cataratas Hotels"
Leider haben wir versehentlich das Hotel Cataratas auf der argentinischen und nicht das gleichnamige Hotel im Park, auf brasilianischer Seite gebucht. Von dem Hotel waren wir natürlich enttäuscht. Es war in keiner Hinsicht mit dem Cataratas Hotel im Park vergleichbar und ist darüber hinaus nicht empfehlenswert! Die Qualität des Essens war nicht akzeptabel […] und das Niveau der Gäste entsprechend. Das Hotel wirkte insgesamt total heruntergekommen. Auf die Namensgleichheit sollte hingewiesen werden! Mehr

"Das Catarates liegt günstig zwischen den Fällen un"
Ein gutes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Die aussen angeschriebenen 5Sterne siond aber nicht gerechtfertigt. Für Reisende ohne Spanischkenntnisse nicht empfehlenswert. Im Hotel sind wenig Informationen erhältlich
"Overall good"
+ The staff was very helpful. Good pool, food. Transport is easy, cab or bus. Free wifi. - The gym doesn't have enough weights. Not much to do, have to go to the city which takes 20min by bus.
"Old hotell in the middle of nowhere"
Room was from 70' with fitted carpet, also from 70', with stains so we used shoes all the time. Maybe they had not cleaned the room after last guests, there was hair in the bathroom walls, dead fly beside the sink etc. Breakfast was nice, also the pool area. Staff was unpolite, almost rude. Good bus connection to iguazu falls!

"Cataratas Hotel Iguazu"
I won't recommend this hotel since: - They promise wireless internet and there are some rooms where it didnt have signal. Mine per example . - Since Iguazu is an international tourism destination, they dont have electricity convertors available. - Room smelled like a cigarrete even when I asked for a non smoking room. - Carpet was a mess.

This hotel is far from being a 5-star facility. It has a good location (don't attempt to take a cab to the falls from there, they rip you off!! take the bus instead), but they never changed our towels, cold water was not working, door knob was broken and the buffet is USD 35 per person and mediocre. The price/quality relation is definitely bad.

despite the staff was polite and professional, the hotel does not desserve the 5 stars showing off at the front. looks like everything you touch will fall apart, lights bulbs are not replaced, the bathroom tiles were old and damaged, I took some pictures as well. "Iguazu Falls touring"
While the front deck staff tried to be helpful, we had language difficulties, and I speak a little Spanish. You need to be a visa from Brazil to see that side of the falls. No one could help us with this at the hotel. We found a remiss driver, Ariel, who proved to be invaluable. The hotel sits about midway between the Argentine side and the Brazilian […] side of the falls. You must see both!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cataratus. The staff wqas very accomodating, professional, and proficient enough in English to help us greatly. And food was excellent.

Very comfortable hotel. Local bus to the national park (falls) picks up right at the end of the hotel driveway. In room safe was inoperable though.
"Think twice before you stay here!"
This hotel when you first walk in has a lot of potential and I was not expecting the world of this moderate priced location. But I would say the number one thing lacking is the staff needs to understand customer service. (This is not directed at the entire staff) But I am sorry to say- your employees reflect who you are to the people who stay there. […] Also there was several small issues...Water leak in the second floor lobby area, no Hot water when we arrived (this was fixed) and Internet was down as well as no internet in the rooms. (only in the lobby). My recommendation- wait for the hotel to spend some money on updating the hotel interior, and training their staff more extensively on how to handle customers. Location- It was actually in a good location -close to Iguazu (15 min taxi ride), and close to down town (10 min taxi/bus ride) pools/Spa- The spa are and gym were good. If we did not leave because of the poor service, we might of used this. Side note- This might be a good place for family as our room was a split wing and can accommodate 4 people in one room. (But once again- I would wait for the place to spend some money and update the look of the hotel. Mehr
"Room Maintenance and Customer Service"
The hotel was nice , but the room was not ready when we arrive. There was a heavy sence and dusty, the sheets were not changed. The next day we asked them to change the sheets and the bathroom light as it was broken. The breakfast was good and the Dinner at the hotel was very nice the first night and the second night was ok. "Great staff"
The great staff (Graciela & Harry especially) was very professional and courteous. I was allowed to check in at 11am and a late check out as well. The room was fine but the carpeting needs to be replaced and the hot water was lukewarm. Easy access by bus to the falls which were spectacular.
Overall a decent hotel with the exception of plumbing. Looks like it was once a very nice hotel, but could use some updating. Restaurant was decent.

"Cataractas Hotel Iguazu Falls- quiet, convenient"
Excellent value for the money, I would definitely go back. There is direct bus to Iguazu Falls, and about 30 minutes walk to town.

Hotel Cataratas is located conveniently near to the Iguazu Falls park entrance, offers a delicious dinner buffet, and provides nice amenities - indoor and outdoor pools, gym, tennis and basketball courts, soccer field, hiking path. It was good to see families enjoying the amenities. However, it is located outside of town, so you'll need to take a taxi […] to get to town. The hotel is a bit aged and our room had a musty smell. Buena en general, pero no se corresponde con el standard de un cinco estrellas, aunque el precio del hotel es su mejor ventaja, junto con la zona de piscina y jardines, que era excelente. Lastima del precario mantenimiento de las instalaciones.

el hotel es muy comodo ...cuenta con todo lo necesario para una estadia mas que agradable ... tiene algunos detalles de mantenimiento ....y de actualizar algo la decoracion... Me llama la atencion que la piscina tenga la caida de agua con un revestimiento antiguo y unas rejas de proteccion que dan un mal aspecto a un area en la que todas las miradas […] van directamente a ellas .... un revestimiento de piedras de la zona y unas cañas tan representativas decorarian de manera simple y mejoraria la vista a la piscina ... La limpieza de alfombras y tapizados del restaurante ...dejan un poco que desear .. El personal excelente ...super amables y calidos ..... "Hotel Cataratas"
NO es un hotel 5 estrellas bajo ningun concepto. Es un hotel de 3 o 4 estrellas como mucho. De todos modos por la relacion precio-calidad es recomendable. Su piscina es muy bonita. La gastronomía es de bajo nivel. La tención de su personal es excelente.

"Necesita una reforma"
El hotel necesita una reforma en general. Desde los pasillos, llenos de rampas, hasta las habitaciones, que aun siendo espaciosas, estan bastante viejitas. El baño con muy poca luz y una bañera con una mampara corrediza que necesitan ser renovados. Sería un 2 estrellas. Una noche hubo un poco de temporal (viento) y se fue la luz durante mas de 1h sin […] que nadie nos dijera nada ni nos diera una linterna o velas. A pesar de eso el personal fue bastante amable. Mehr

Es un hotel que en su momento respondio a cinco estrellas. En el presente no llega a cuatro estrellas es una pena que se encuetre con detalles de deterioro observados a simple vista tanto en el sector piscina y yacuzzi como en el buffet (pequeños descuidos de alfombras, pisos,cortinas, madera de revestimiento, sillas , mesas,etc). "Hotel Cataratas"
El hotel está muy bien ubicado y tiene una piscina fabulosa. Cómodas habitaciones y camas. El mantenimiento y decoración son algo viejas, pero tiene el confort y la calidad de servicio de un 4 estrellas. Muy buen restaurant para no moverte. Los bondis que te llevan a todos lados paran en la puerta!! Lo recomiendo.

"Um bom hotel, mas caro pelos padrões da Argentina"
Gostei do hotel, tem uma área de lazer boa, ideal para familia, mas o custo nos padrões argentinos é alto. A única observação foi com o cheiro forte do carpete, mas abrimos o quarto e melhorou.

Dicen que el despegue y el aterrizaje son los momentos más críticos de un avión, pues llegué al Hotel Cataratas luego del mediodia y despues de pedir el cambio de habitación para poder utilizar una con caja de seguridad, cometo el error de dejar dinero en el bolsillo de una bermuda que venia usando y me fui a la pileta del hotel para menguar el calor. A […] la vuelta LA PLATA (que no era poca) NO ESTABA. Una lástima. Se lo comuniqué al encargado y luego al Gerente, quien solo dijeron que el personal trabajaba allí hace mucho tiempo y era de confianza. NO LO RECOMIENDO - NO VUELVO MAS AHÍ!!!! Mehr

"Pésima limpieza!"
La limpieza de los cuartos es malísima. Por la mañana maté una cucaracha que estaba en la ventana y cuando regresé por la noche, la cucaracha seguía ahí!! Además, a la primera habitación que me ofrecieron no le servía la cerradura, literal: no cerraba la puerta. Me la quisieron cambiar por otra apestosa a cigarrillo. Terrible! Lo mejor es el bufette […] de su restaurante, especialmente el de la cena. Muy bueno, buena sazón y variedad de platillos. También aprecio enormemente que tuviera WiFi en todo el hotel, gratis. No hay nada más que una gasolinera cerca del hotel, hay que tomar un bus para llegar al pueblo de Iguazú, en realidad, no es mayor inconveniente. Mehr
"Falta mantenimiento"
La atención del personal nos pareció excelente y siempre se encontraron dispuestos a resolver nuestras necesidades. Las habitaciones son cómodas, pero les falta mantenimiento. El desayuno es de lo mejor!!

He pasado muy bien mi cumpleaño en su Hotel y lo puedo recommendar. Solo reclamo el costo de una llamada telefonica al centro de Iguzu pague como 20 pesos ,por este monto puedo ir con TAXI al centro. Esto era un robo injustificado.Peter
