It was ok. The hall smelled weird. Not alot of parking

Was spending 1 night in town, and this place couldn't be beat for the price and a little breakfast.

Great for the price. Nice staff upfront and free internet a plus. Clean rooms too.

I am glad I arrived in the daytime, because although I could see the hotel from the freeway, it was super tricky to get to the service road, drove around in circles. I recommend phoning them if you have trouble. It got easier once I got to the place to come and go. I do like the Microtel.

The hotel was older than what the picture online shows. It sits in a desolate part of the city with no stores, or eateries, or anything to look at. The room had several lights out and the toilet handle was broken. They had what looks like a "kiddy pool". Had to go to the first floor only for ice and the place was basically unattractive. Cons: Rust Stain in our bathroom tub and loud air conditioner, Far away from Sea World Pros: Peaceful, Friendly staff, Clean and comfortable beds. Overrall pretty nice place

The customer service was outstanding. I forgot the womans names but she showed me so many places to eat. She knew I was very stressed and made sure I was taken care of.

Not very far from downtown. Located in an area that is not too crowded.

Floors looks messy, dirty as ever...will never stay at this place ever again...Closet door was missing, they put the microwave and refrigerator right at the bottom of the bed...just dingy and dirty...Not all Microtels are like this one but they give the chain a bad name....very unsatisfied :(

This was my first time to stay at this hotel and overall I was very pleased with my experience. The bed and pillows made for a very comfortable sleep! I liked that we were far enough away from the hustle of downtown but close enough that it took little time to get anywhere. Overall I was pleased.

The location made driving downtown very easy. Bed was nice. Major updated is needed. It does not look like the owners have put any money into the location beyond the bed in years; furniture was old and cheap, couch had a tear, hair dryer on the wall did not work. The carpet seemed dirty and in need of a good cleaning. there were tiles missing in the […] front entry walkway that should be fixed. The female employee was wonderful to work with but the other employees had the 3 best parking spots blocked by cones so they could park there. Would I stay there again, if I needed to but only as a last resort. I have stayed at other MicroTel locations and this location does not even come close to the quality I woudl have expected . Mehr

Great hotel for the money. The staff are very attentive to my needs. The distance of the hotel was further than I expected to the hospital, but not a big deal, the staff were always ready to call a cab for me.

Pros: Fairly convenient location though be sure to look at maps for exits rather than relying on GPS. Comfortable Bed Priced Right Basic breakfast provided Good security - can't get in the front door without a key or ringing for the attendant. Wireless internet worked well. Hotel is good for the price. And that price is cheap. You get what you pay for. Some parts of our room needed painting. But ehh, we were hardly in our room. Our restroom had no shampoo, soap or toilet paper and mind you, we checked in at 8pm. WELL OVER the time of checkin/cleaning and all. But ehhh a quick call to reception and 10 min later we had our […] stuff. The premises ARE safe BUT the neighborhood around it and getting there was VERY SHADY! Getting to the hotel is not as easy as exiting the freeway. I would not have found my way without a navigation system. So PRINT those directions before you leave home if you plan to stay. The hotel was good for what I got in return. The only negative experience I had was that the ironing board was broken, but they came to replace it ASAP! The breakfast was "ok"...it did not involve meat or eggs but the normal oatmeal, cereal, and/or waffles. Not a luxury spot at all but worth the stay for a night along your route.

I did not realize this hotel is so close to Fort Sam Houston. I wish I made reservations before we came to San Antonio the night before. We did get in the 2nd night we were there and we were very pleased. A friend told us about the place and she was right. I will make reservations to this hotel again next time I come to San Antonio.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small, but inexpensive. Breakfast was minimal. Pool tiny. Access from highway not the easiest. OK for me for a few days.

The service was good. No complaints. The room was clean. The area was quiet. The clerk was helpful and informative.At checkout I asked for a printed receipt and I was referred back to Hotels.com for a receipt. The location is a bit confusing to locate especially if you are visiting from out of town.

Althought the hotel is a bit difficult to get to, it was well worth it. The room was not huge but it was very clean. The beds were soft, the bedding and pillows were hypo-allergenic. The shower head was high pressure message. Finally the staff was great. They went the extra mile to assure our comfort. I would stay again.

I checked in fearing the worse. I love staying at 4 star hotels but I was staying with guests who could not afford much and we wanted to stay together. It was a little difficult to get to although easy to see from the freeway. The lobby was very nice and well maintained, there was an ATM inside and a mini store, and fresh coffee 24/7. I was impressed […] with the amenities and nice condition. The rooms were very small and could use some updating for sure, our shower faucet dripped all night, but other than that it was a great place to stay if you are just planning on sleeping there and being out on the town all day. It was only a 5 minute drive from downtown which was very convenient. If you are on a budget then this is a great hotel! Mehr

So first of all price is great if all you plan to do is lay your head on the pillow. Standard rooms are very small just big enough to put a queen size bed in. Excercise room has 4 machines from the 20's and neither of them work. Called front desk and was told they could not even go up stairs to the 3rd floor and look at the machines. Let me start off by saying our room had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. However, the toilet seat was broken, the shower curtain rod was barely holding on, a recessed light above the window seat was leaking. Since this seat was only one of two seats available, we had to use the bed to sit down. These things were reported twice, […] but nothing was done. They did not even come to our room to look at it. I suspect they were aware of the room and were not intending to make the necessary repairs. The hotel did provide soap and shampoo by way of dispensers in the stall, however, both dispensers were empty. We had to go to a drug store to purchase soap. We also had to request wash cloths and toilet paper from the front desk. It is a real shame because we were initially impressed with the hotel. The exterior was immaculate as was the lobby. I am anticipating returning to San Antonio in the next couple of months because my son is stationed at Ft. Sam Houston. However, due to the condition of my room, I will not return to the Microtel Inn. Mehr

When I first entered the room, the first thing I noticed was the leaky tub faucet. I had to turn the faucet very tight to get the dripping to stop. The room was clean upon arrival. That night the sounds from crickets chirping and highway traffic made it difficult to sleep. The room was clean and cool. The bed was fairly comfortable, but one bad thing was the traffic noise and the trains. Still it was at a great price so all in all. I give it 3 stars out of 5

My friend and i came to San Antonio for a show at the AT&T Center. i pick this hotel knowing their are some bad reviews. dont believe the bad reviews. the employee at the desk where nice. the only thing i dident like was it took about 5 sections for the lights to come on. i tgink the lights bulds might be going out.

Unless familiar with the feeder troughes alongside the highways in Texas, this hotel will be difficult to find. My GPS had to take me down a washed out, partially closed road to even get to the hotel. Once at the hotel, the paint was peeling (in sheets) off the wall. The view (of the parking lot) wasn't all that bad. We had obviously underestimated […] what "pool" and "internet" meant. The outdoor pool was very small, no indoor pool. The Hotel was definitely what you paid for. The Hotel was in the middle of a remodel in the Lobby, which was perfectly fine, but the rooms were in more need of a makeover than the lobby. One room of ours had the shower curtain rod broken off the wall and mold lining the drywall around the tub. Another room was half flooded from the Air Conditioner. It wasn't perfect but there was good customer service, everyone answered any and all questions. There was some trouble getting the door to the room to close properly but beyond that, we were pretty pleased.

A/C leaked on floor. Swimming pool looked nasty. If you just need a place to sleep for cheap it was OK.
