Das Hotel liegt zentral an der HAfenpromenade. Von außen her ist diese Oase nicht zu erkennen. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist vielseitig und frisch, wunderbar! Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

This was my 2nd time at Casa Mexicana and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and there is always someone cleaning the floors or windows or whatever. The breakfast buffet is great! And Jaime the waiter is so wonderful and kind. I didn't use the mini pool although I did see a few people in it. The sundeck is nice but it only gets sun […] in the afternoon since it faces west. The hotel is in a great location for walking to downtown shops and restaurants. I'll definitely be staying there again. Mehr

It was awsome. The staff was very accomidating. The room was very clean. The location was right in the heart of downtown. Parking was odd at first, but easy to find after the first time. We would definately stay here again.

this was very convenient to the pier to catch the dive boat in the mornings as well as the town and restaurants int he evening's. Additionally the breakfast was great, the ambiance wonderful and I don't have a single complaint, cant believe this is only a 3 star hotel, should be 4.

It was our first trip to Cozumel --a reunion for three UW-Madison Badgers from 1968!! We loved the hotel. The people were wonderful. The view from our balcony room was great. We watched the tour ships come in and ferries come and go. We walked to the ferry to go to Playa del Carmen --two days.-one for Chichenitza We decided our island was quieter and […] a great place to snorkel/read a book/ visit a tequila factory. I have been to Cozumel many times and when I find a better hotel I move to it. I have stayed at this hotel 5 times in the past year and will return again as soon as I can. They provide you a comfortable clean room. Nothing fancy but as comfortable as you will find in the more expensive Cozumel hotels. The breakfast buffet is as good as you will find […] anywhere. This was our third stay at this hotel and it seems to get better every time we go back. The location is great for observing all the action in town from the cruise ship arrivals to all the people interacting in the downtown area. You can walk to shop, to eat out, to put your toes in the surf just across the street, to buy snacks/supplies at the huge […] supermarket, to party at Senor Frog's or to the town square to watch the live entertainment on the stage. The breakfast buffet is top notch. Everyone who works in the hotel was friendly, efficient and helpful, especially Jaime. Extremely clean hotel with super comfy beds and great air conditioning. Mehr

I was on a working break, and needed to use the room for some writing and web access. My "city-side" room was sufficiently quiet for my needs. A small refrigerator in the room and proximity to a good supermarket made holing up convenient. The little pool is a delight! The delicious varied breakfast buffet changed daily: mostly fresh, home-made food […] ! Note: if night noise bothers you, you might look elsewhere as this hotel is close to Punta Langosta Terminal, and there a couple of lively clubs there. Very pleasant staff. Tip: if you run, bike or walk, Cozumel's shore walk has been extended north for quite a ways and offers delightful early morning exercise spiced with interesting sculpture and bits of history. Mehr

Nice and clean. Breakfast was very good. You can walk to restaurants, shops and fery.

We travel to Cozumel 4 or 5 times a year and we have stayed at various hotels around the island. Casa Mexicana is the best deal and most comfortable hotel for us that we have found. This is a very comfortable hotel for traveling divers. You cannot beat the buffet for breakfast that is included in the room rate and we have never returned to the room […] after a day diving to a room that has not been cleaned. Nice big towels and a hot shower is a must first stop. Each room has a good safe to leave valuables and a small refrigerator for cold beer or water. Best part is you are downtown near all the restaurants for dinner. Mehr

Only downside was that the water-facing pool was undergoing maintenance at the time. Other than that, the hotel was GREAT. Fantastic location in the middle of all the shops and restaurants; watched the cruise ships go by (get a water view); and the staff was extremely nice and helpful . . . even let us check in early and stored our bags the last day […] after check out. family vacation during xmas, 5 of us had a great stay at this hotel, very friendly, clean fabulous breakfest, would definately stay here again.

My husband and I had a nice experience at Casa Mexicana. The breakfast was good, great variety. The only thing missing was fresh bread, but other than that, it was excellent. This hotel is in a really convenient location for bars, restaurants, gift shops, shops and tour agencies. You can just rent a motorcycle around the corner and start exploring the island on your own. It doens't have its own beach, but a nice view in the pool, and the closest beach is accesed via cab or renting a moped or a jeep. People were really nice […] at the hotel, and free breakfast! Mehr

This was our third stay at Casa Mexicana. We've stayed at other, more luxurious hotels in Cozumel but Casa Mexicana remains our favorite. We like the downtown location which allows us to walk everywhere. Service is always great and I love the fact that the water in the hotel is purified (don't have to worry about using bottled water to brush your teeth!) […] Free wi-fi, computers and printers available for printing boarding passes, eggs and waffles made-to-order at breakfast. The bathroom is not huge and the "pool" is small and shallow and really does not met my definition of a pool. But we'll stay at Casa Mexicana again next year! Mehr

a bargain but not luxurious... cheerful, accommodating staff, hot water shower/tub, cold a/c, comfy bed, tasty cont bkf, small indoor pool... lacks in-room coffee maker, refridge, micro, hair dryer, as well as door night safety bolt.... try to get one of few ocean view rooms!

Stayed there in july 2011. The place is built early in the 21st century so everything is modern and fresh. It´s location is fantastic, only a couple of hundred meters of the ferry pier. When I was there, the price difference between a room with oceanwiew and one without was symbolic so oceanwiew might be worth it eventhough you´re not planning to spend […] a lot of time in the hotel room. The breakfast is exceptional, with a chef cooking your order of omelets, pancakes and quesadillas before your eyes. Lots of locals came there to have breakfast. The hotel does not have a private beach but their pool area is nice with an awsome wiev, however it is smallish. Apparently, hotels along the beach try to make their beachstrip appear private, but I talked to some people there who told me there are no private beaches in Mexico, so theoretically you could walk into any beachfront hotel and use their beach. I did not try that, and I have to say that if you are looking for a good beach, stay in Playa del Carmen. One of the best beaches I have ever seen. We came to cozumel for the scuba diving which was great. Diveshops are plenty, we accually met a diveshopowner on the boat over, and we wound up diving with her for our entire stay. The best mexican restaurants are found downtown, away from the beacharea. Mehr

This hotel has good location to town, xhopping, restaraunts, ferry. The hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. Our problem with stay was that we had tiny ants in the bathroom the first evening and as we didnt say anything, by morning the ants had multiplied and were scattered. I did tell them upon checkout and they made a note to take care of the […] problem. We were staying 2 nights, but our hotel room was small and we just weren;t comfortable, so we left after staying 1 night.. Mehr

We were so impressed with the staff at Casa Mexicana. They were attentive, cheerful, and happy to help us. The hotel cleaning staff were constantly working and the hotel was spotless! The free breakfast was delicious with many Mexican favorite dishes along side traditional American breakfast food. We will definitely book this hotel again in the fut […] ure! Mehr

Very close to ferry terminal. In the middle of shops and food. Great location. Rooms are pretty large, simple, and well kept.

Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. We loved the wholesome breakfast and enjoyed the nearness to the restaurants for our dinner. Our room was kept clean and tidy by the staff. The folks at the hotels were very helpful.The swimming pool could be bigger but I think swimming in the beaches made up for it.

The hotels location is excellent. A few blocks from the Plaza and minutes away from Starbucks. I was there to dive, eat and sleep. Using the small pool never entered my mind. When I arrived I told the agents at the Front Desk I wanted a quiet room. Since it was early, they only had one room available. It was one of the interior room overlooking the […] Lobby. As I suspected, the room was to noisy for me so I asked them to move me. They were very accommodating and moved me to one of the rooms with a balcony overlooking a side street. Problem solved. The breakfast was incredible. Such a great value. Fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, waffles, pastry, cereal and on and on. I'm in the hotel business and for my money I would stay here again. This is a nice place. Everyone is very nice and friendly, the free breakfast buffet is very good, and the pillowtop beds are comfy. The pool and area around it are small, but it was never crowded and it has a nice view of the ocean. My only issues were with the fact that it is very close to the cruise ship terminal and as a result, the people that come […] off of them. As far as I'm concerned, I wish the cruise ships and the people on them would just stay out at sea. Mehr

They shut the air conditioning off at night. We had to complain to get them to turn it back on at 3:00 AM. When it didn't turn on after 20 minutes I called back and they would not answer the phone. I literally let it ring for 10 minutes. It was over half an hour before they did turn it back on. We heard other people talking about not having hot water […] in their shower. The breakfast was wonderful but the staff is not friendly unless you tip them. We ended up leaving two days early. Mehr

I stayed at Casa Mexicana in June 2010. The hotel was clean, confortable, and very well priced which also included a decent buffet breakfast. It is located downtown which makes it accessable to many places to eat, and if you want, the night life. There are escalators going up to the hotel which maybe turned off if it is raining, and so if you have trouble […] going upstairs, I do not recommend this place. We were very pleased with the service, room, breakfast, and overall experience at the Casa Mexicana Cozmel. The service was great; we decided to haul our luggage from the pier as we had come from Playa del Carmen and decided that it wasn't too far to walk. As soon as we arrived at the lobby desk we had drinks and peppermint facial towels waiting; check-in […] was a breeze and our luggage was taken up to our room. Great service, the bell boy even made a sweep through our room to check that all the necessities were there. The complimentary internet was handy. Check out was just as easy as check-in, and breakfast was filling. There is only one elevator, at the time that we were leaving it had mechanical problems and was in the middle of being fixed. However, the bus boy loaded up our luggage and took it a different route and he met us in front to catch our taxi. This was a cozy and clean hotel with wonderful service, I would definitely stay again. **The hotel is in a shopping district (the mall and the market; many places to eat). You won't find it hard to catch a taxi or a horse and carriage, or an excursion just step out the front entrance and it's all there for you. We wanted a hotel in an area with lots to do, however it is busy busy busy... so if you are looking for peace and quiet you might want to look into some of the resorts outside of San Miguel. Le Mehr

This is the second time I have stayed here. I like the location, near the town not far from the beaches. The staff is really good and the breakfast is great! Don't go expecting to use the pool. It has chronic problems.

My wife and I returned today from a five night stay at Casa Mexicana. I would put this hotel up against any in Cozumel. There are people literally cleaning the place all day. I read reviews from people saying the pool was too small. The pool is small but it is perfect. The sundeck overlooks the ocean and the pool was absolutely perfect for cooling off […] while sunbathing. The food on the breakfast buffet is so good and is included in the price. There is a great variety of traditional Mexican dishes and a cook to order station for omelets, eggs, waffles and french toast. I have traveled from New York City to Las Vegas and this is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The staff is so friendly and the hotel is spotless. It is centrally located downtown and a short walk to the square is nice. Eat at a small cafe called "Mosaicoz", it is worth the experience. Beer is $1 and the food is awesome. Walk about 6 blocks into Cozumel to "Mercada Muncipal", the local market to get some local Mexican flavor. Not many tourist there. You will not be disappointed in Casa Mexicana Cozumel!!!! Mehr

The location is great, right next to the dive shop and a quick walk to the square. Never too far from any of the great restaurants in San Miguel. The pool is used for sitting and staring out over the crystal blue water. The staff were very helpful. They were able to get me a room up higher with a great view of ocean. Lamentablamente lo que recibí no valió lo que pagué . El costo se me hizo elevado considerando que la habitación no es nada especial, el desayuno no es de buena calidad y las instalaciones del hotel son reducidas. En plan de viaje de negocios está bien pero en plan familiar no volvería a hospedarme ahí. Saludos!

Me gusto la atencion especialmente de un Mesero si no estoy mal su nombre es Miguel un senor muy atento y muy buena memoria siempre sabia que nos gustaba. Las personas que estan en la entrada super atentas y muy bien informadas de todas las partes de la Isla, realmente nos sentimos super bien y el desayuno exelente, me encantaron los jugos frescos y […] naturales. Sinseramente mis felicitaciones, pues asi deberian ser todos los hoteles en estas partes turisticas pues los hoteles de Isla Mujeres no fueron tan buenos. Mehr
