Clean room. Everything you need, including fully functional kitchen. Plenty of space. Great location, literally 1 minute from Southpark Mall. Would be great for an extended stay.

First of all, the front desk staff were extremely friendly. We've stayed here several times over the past 5 years. We enjoy the location which is close to where my wife needs to be for her business work. The breakfast is good and the rooms are comfortable. It was only on this visit that I noticed that the rooms are beginning to show their age. Not sure […] of the renovation schedule for this hotel but would hope it is in the near future. As I was checking in, I was shocked to see a dog the size of a small pony come through the lobby. This hotel (and all other Marriott Residence Inns) allows pets, which I did not know. Having picked up fleas from another hotel on a previous business trip (I do not have pets), I was quite concerned, and intensively questioned the pet cleaning policy, […] which is woefully inadequate - keeping a room closed for 2 days and extra vacuuming will NOT take care of fleas. (Nor, apparently, pet hair, since when I mentioned my experience to a friend with severe pet allergies who used to stay at Residence Inns all of the time she finally understood why her allergies were so bad when staying at Residence Inns - she also didn't realize they allow pets!) The desk clerk did go back through the pet log and reassured me there had been no pets in my room for over a month, but even so, a flea fogger would be a much safer bet. I was also unhappy with the room since my standing Marriott profile as well as specific request at the the time of booking was for a "quiet" room; however I was given one where my head was less than 10 feet from the elevator when lying in bed, and I could hear the elevator dinging all night long. Good points - several nice restaurants across the street, convenient to what I am told is the nicest shopping mall in Charlotte (I didn't go), and a good free breakfast. Wireless internet is free but is completely unsecured and unsecureable, so I did not use it. Mehr

The hotel is a very nice property - newer (but not new), near to shopping/dining (without being in the midst of it), and reasonably convenient to the major transportation routes in and around Charlotte. It's still a Residence Inn though, so it's nice enough - nothing to complain or to write home about, but comfortable and quiet (which Residence Inns […] are not always) On weekends, the price is right as well. The room was immaculate, the hot breakfast was delicious, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, they have managers appreciation evenings- with adult beverages from 5 to 7, and appetizers. I would definently go back.

Room and location of hotel was great. Close to the mall and restaurants, as well as the rapid transit system that took us to the football game. There was some construction on the road just outside the hotel, but it's didn't incovenience us too much. Front desk was very busy on the phone and we waited quite a bit to get checked in, but minor inconvenience. […] The hot tub was out of commission one day of our stay, which is one reason why we chose this hotel, but they got it up and running for the second day. Room was very well furnished with appliances, utensils, and such - all that is needed to store, prepare, meals and snack. Of course, this hotel is in a relly nice and convenient neighborhood and a short stroll to the best shopping mall in Charlotte. Several really good restaurnts are nearby. Easy access by car to main streets for driving to museums, […] galleries, etc. Breakfast was very good and tasty. There a bar for evening gathrings if desired. There was a used towel hanging in my shower when i walked in my room. There was also a tv from the 70's in the bedroom. Haven't seen a tv that old in years.

We have stayed at this location NUMEROUS times, and have never ever had a problem. The staff are all polite, courteous and extremely helpful. As an example, we arrived after midnight at the hotel, the clerk at the desk was friendly and personable as opposed to other places we have stayed and when we arrived late the person on duty treated us as an inconvenience. […] This would never happen at your facility. Three weeks ago we had approximately 15 rooms with family and friends staying there to attend our son's wedding in Charlotte. Everyone had a great time and extremely pleased with the accommodations. The customer service was excellent. Chris was on duty when we checked in and checked out and he was very helpful and knowledgable about the area and giving us the best directions to where we were going. We will be planning another trip to Charlotte and will definately stay again, actually I will not be staying any other place. We stayed one night. The room and hotel were clean, the staff was friendly and accomodating. We did not use any of the other facilities. My only critizism is parking. There were decks on both ends of the hotel. Nothing closer. Just a touch too far to walk to dinner comfortably, especially if dressed up.

I had an overall great experience. There was an issue where some kids were playing pranks, however the front desk clerk moved me to another room no questions asked. The breakfast staff was very hospitable. They will be seeing me again in Charlotte.

had a wonderful stay at this hotel. the location is near a large mall. the area is very quiet. i enjoyed the breakfast, which was far from continental. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the hotel is very close to a variety of restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at this Residence Inn and loved it. The room had everything you could possibly need... A full kitchen including a refrigerator, dishwasher, and a stove! Comfortable queen size bed (my wife liked the comforter so much she's looking for one like it now), a separate "living room" from the bedroom with a door to close, microwave with […] a free bag of popcorn, free internet, two tv's... I also liked that the hotel is in a nice area (we shopped at South Park Mall, very nice). Included Breakfast near the lobby was great. We had a couple of beers in the evening at the bar ($4 apiece). Staff was friendly and helpful. Snacks available at any hour for a price. The only ding I would give them is on the hot tub. We read another review that said the hot tub was lukewarm, and we discovered that was true so we didn't use it, even though we wanted to. Great hotel though for the price (nin nin) and it's not in downtown Charlotte (which is 15 min away), so no hassles with parking fees, plus the hotel isn't crowded with noisy partiers. No fancy modern decor like Aloft, but you get way more of your money's worth. Mehr

GPS won't take you to this hotel and front desk staff doesn't answer the phone, so plan well before you go. It took 45 minutes to find it once we got nearby. Cleanliness is questionable. Exterior doors did not lock after hours. Linens not available until requested. Workout facilities were sub par. Breakfast was good, and staff was kind. We were surprised to find such a quiet, unassuming location so close to the Southpark Area. The Hotel was very clean and well kept. All the rooms are suites, with a very nice kitchen (well stocked). Rooms were very clean, Great breakfast buffet. The only downsides were the pool (nice facility, but cold (not heated in Nov)) and the hottub water was too […] low - causing the jets to spray water. Beds were not the MOST comfortable, but were OK - Overall, we'd definitely stay there again. Couldn't ask for much more so close to Southpark. Mehr

Accomodations were very nice; fluffy white sheets and warm comforter, comfortable bed; Breakfast was a full meal, not just danishes. Needed to ask to have housekeeping come empty the trash, but other than that it was all pretty good. loved the free microwave popcorn

We stayed for 2 nights while we attended a football game at the nearby stadium. The staff was great and very knowledgeable in places to eat. The room was great. We have stayed at other extended stay hotels but this was much better. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the complimentary breakfast . We used the pool one night and it was refreshing […] to take a dip after a long day. It was close to dining places, supermarkets, churches and stadium. This is a great hotel! The room was beautiful, almost like an apartment with all sorts of amenities. It is located in the perfect location too. It is not too far away from the nightlife and not loud and chaotic like other hotels in Charlotte. We had a great stay, and I will definitely stay here for my next trip to Charlotte!

This hotel is what you'd expect from this level of hotel. It was clean, seemed to be well kept and the location was good - walking distance to several restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. Only knock is the parking lots (yes 2) are an extended walk from any door so if you have mobility issues, keep this in mind.

This hotel is conveniently located in the upscale Southpark shopping and dining neighborhood. This hotel is very clean, well maintained, with free parking and a friendly staff. As a regular guest at this hotel, I just have to say it is really nice. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are really nice and clean. Hotel required $100 cash deposit for incidentals. Their credit card machine wasn't working, so night auditor demanded $100 in cash before he would let us check in. Insisted that their machine was working, even though it wouldn't process cards belonging to three different people. Wouldn't give us a receipt for the $100 he collected. Was very rude. Just […] kept quoting it was "hotel policy" with no concern for us. Would've sent us back out in the freezing rain to find an ATM in a strange town had we not been carrying cash with us.
