Excellent location in Bristol City centre, but quiet enough as it is adjacent to the dock side rather than on a busy city centre road. Nice bar area and gery good location. Very well located hotel. Room very good and bed are very good for good sleep. The issue is if you have a room on the river you could have noise during nights comong from the surroundings

This was a real find. Located on the docks with great views this hotel was one of the best budget weekend stays Ive had. Rooms were contemporary, clean and spacious and the staff were great. Perfect location in that it was 10 mins walk from all the main attractions but nicely hidden away on the dock-side. If I had to gripe, it would be that: Breakfast […] was far to expensive (but that was cool because there are plenty of cafes around). Room temperature had to be carefully managed with the AC settings. Freezing cold to roasting hot! Sound insulation on the dock side rooms could have been better - a bit noisey in the morning but still 10x better than my stays in London. But overall it was top banana. Great Hotel. Rooms were really nice - the highlight for me was the TV in the bath. Didn't sample the delights of the cocktail bar but the menu looked good all the same. Location wise I loved being near the water especially with the floating Cider Bar just minutes away. Thought the breakfast was a bit expensive and they try to force you to commit to […] it at check-in "Its only £10 now but it will be £16 in the morning." The rooms were large, modern and clean. Unfortunately the service was awful. The room service charge was extortionate. There was no night porter or late night service (despite it supposedly being 24 hour). Worst of all, the concierge was not on the door over night. I had to wait outside the hotel at 3am after returning from an event, by myself in the […] freezing cold, for 20 mins before being let in. My complaint at this matter was laughed at by the person who answered, despite the fact I pointed out the obvious risk to my safety. The next morning I escalated the complaint to the Duty Manager, who said he would discuss it with his employee. I have heard nothing since. Mehr

This is a great hotel in Bristol, the only critisism would be the room doors slam shut so if people are constantly coming and going there is a lot of noise. This can be quite frustrating at 2am.

Great hotel. Stayed three nights, room was lovely. Clean, modern and well appointed with good space. Small balcony looking over the Brigstow Bridge and canal. Located in the 'old city' its close most everything - about 10 mins walk into town. Had dinner in the restaurant one night, it overrates itself, don't bother!! Just 10 mins walk away next to Queen […] Square is great restaurant called Graze - go there!! Olde Duke (pub just around the corner from the Hotel) is awesome. Best live music I've heard in years, great atmosphere, great fun. St Nicholas Market across the road is fantastic and great for breakfast. No parking at the Hotel. Mehr

Great location, but parking is expensive £15 per night with discount. Breakfast was £16.95 so did not use hotel, but plenty of nice places nearby to eat. Room was nice but few maintenance issues, lights not working and nice TV over bath but did not work anymore, shame.

I stayed one night at this hotel for a weekend short break in Bristol. It's 15 minutes' walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station. The hotel is located by the river which is nice. There are restaurants, pubs and banks nearby. The high street is only minutes away. My Classic Room is on the small side of the scale. But it's nice and clean. Booked hotel as a romantic weekend away. First of all we went to the wrong hotel but were pleasantly surprised when we found it! Nice extra touches in the privilege room e.g. complimentary soft drinks and a nespresso machine. Comfy bed, a bit noisy but to be expected in central location. The Brigstow is a modern hotel around 10 mins from Bristol TM station and a few minutes to the shopping/ centre of the city. A nice welcome at check-in and allocted a medium size room with a side view of the harbour. The room was well appointed and the bathroom above the usual with shower cubicle and bath. Shame the TV in the bathroom did not work but […] hey that was not the end of the world! We did not have an evening meal at the hotel but the breakfast was good and attentive staff willing to take any option off the servers and quickly provided in comfortable surroundings. The location was quiet but the next door student accomodation was on christmas break. Parking is in a nearby NCP at £20 per day with a 25% discount for guests. Though only for a single night from my experience I would stay at the Mercure Brigstow again. Mehr

WE booked this hotel the same time last year as we were going to a company christmas party. The hotel is in a very good location centrally but not too central. Hotel is nice, staff were nice and rooms were nice. The only problem we found was it was too warm in the rooms, we tried to control this however had no joy.

Lovely hotel in a great location next to Bristol Bridge. I s lucky enough to have a river view room, which I found really comfortable. The only minor observation is that the bathroom, although spotlessly clean, had a couple of cracked tiles. Would definitely stay again.

I booked a number of rooms for a family celebration that was happening nearby. The Hotel is ideally located close to cenral Bristol shopping, food and sight seeing areas. The hotel room was spacious, clean and with a TV in the bath was at the upper end of what you'd expect for a 4 star hotel. Staff were help[ful and friendly. My only (minor) quibble […] would be the length of time it took to get served drinks and snacks late at night due to there being only 1 person working the whole hotel. I'd definitely book again.
