Sir, I would prefer to see more convienient furniture. TV network is very limited. Internet connection is not staisfactory.

The decor is beautiful and one gets a sense that it is cozy and warm. However, the bathroom fixtures were rusted. More importantly, you could hear the plumbing ie other rooms' toilets flushing etc. It made it difficult to rest.

This quaint carribean Hotel is welcoming, comfortable and has a great staff that is very accomodating. I recommend it to all. have been staying at this hotel for over the past 7 years I have been traveling to the DR and although there atr more contempary hotels in the area I find this one to be very accomodating and wonderfiul.

Having stayed here for a few wks. in '06, I thought I knew what to expect.Unfortunately, it appears that nothing has been updated since that time. Pro's are the large rooms and good storage, breakfast is still adequate. Con's are everything else:shabby finishes and furnishings;lamps that turn on/off at will, as if there is a short;wifi was out for our […] whole visit, reception never referred us to the bus.ctr.till just before check-out;ice machine not working.Absolutely the worst pillows ever--it's like 10 little lumps inside a pillow case.Overall, a very uncomfortable night's stay, and a major disappointment --no value for one's $$. Such a beautiful hotel, with so much potential, an is left to despair, rooms are in very bad conditions, but clean. The personnel is excellent.

The rooms need to be urgently redone, the carpets are dirty and spongy, the bathrooms were on top of the equipment in the 50’s, the AC are noisy as airplanes… For the rooms facing the street, you will be glad to hear that the trucks are not stopping during the night… I’ll advise not to go to this hotel before any investment is done to redo the room […] s. This hotel is well maintained and very elegant. The food is excellent and the staff is very cordial. I stayed here before 22 years ago when adopting my daughter. Returned this year with my daughter and found the hotel to be pretty much the same, understated elegance, old style Spanish hacienda type decor. Lovey pool.

My first stay in this Hotel, was in 1976 and we you walk around not much has change, still is beautiful place. Unfortunately the bathroom in the Hotel have never being remodel and the checkout process is not up to the speed and needs of the clientele.

Breakfast was great! Hotel is old and needs remodeling (especially new carpet).

This hotel offered all the amenities a business traveler can need. I stayed 2 nights, on the 1st morning we ate in the Excel Club level breakfast -- that was very disappointing -- the 2nd day we found the other option for breakfast at a restaurant downstairs -- that was more what we were expecting..it was good and the ambience was nice. I always thought […] this hotel was a lot more per night but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a similar price to the Jaragua and the Melia just down the street. The rooms are to old. The commun areas are very nice but it is to bad that we can not say the something with rooms. Over all the need to updated this hotel before it gets worse.

I've stayed at a number of hotels in Santo Domingo and none can beat the breakfast buffet at the Hotel Santo Domingo, served all the way until 11am. Also a great location for getting around the city, on the Malecon so easy access to Zona Colonial. We enjoyed DR Carnival on the Malecon and being able to walk back to the hotel after. If you go for business make sure you register a second person, if not, the security won't allow anyone to go in the room with you. Front Desk people are very rude and uncooperative. Rooms are dirty and old and not hot water in the shower unless you do it a 5 am. Pool area is dirty and so the pool. Terrible experience not worthy the money.

The hotel location is one of the best in Santo Domingo. close to all must see sights, the new Metro, the museums, UASD, The Malecon, etc. The pool was incredible clean

Hotel très agréable par son aspect somptueux et royal..Idéal pour séjour romantique et les affaires... Le service est parfait .. les tarifs ne sont pas excessifs.....Le petit déjeuner est tres copieux.... L'état des chambres et de l'hotel est propre et bien entretenu.... FACIL ACCESO DESDE EL AEROPUERTO, BUEN BUFFET DE DESAYUNO Y MUY BUENAS FACILIDADES. BUENA SEGURIDAD

recomiendo este hotel a comerciales por lo cerca que esta de las principales avenidas, muy amables y las habitaciones, sobretodo las de la planta ejecutivo muy bien, en comparación a otros hoteles que ya he estado anteriormente por ejemplo (Barceló). recomiendo este hotel.

Fui en viaje de negocios, tiene una excelente sala para reuniones, muy buen restaurante, gente amable.
