Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.
Lage
Hotel Emona Aquaeductus ist auf Geschäftsreisende ausgerichtet und befindet sich mitten in Rom. dieses Hotel liegt in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Porta Maggiore, Kolloseum und Forum Romanum. Santa Maria Maggiore und Teatro dell'Opera di Roma befinden sich ebenfalls in Nähe.
Ausstattung
Dieses Hotel im Boutiquestil verfügt über folgendes Gastronomieangebot: Bar/Lounge. Jeden Morgen wird den Gästen ein kostenloses Frühstück serviert. Alle Straßen führen zum Forum, dem Herzen des antiken Rom. Besucher strömen hierher, um durch die Straßen zu gehen, in denen einst auch Julius Cäsar wandelte. Zu seiner Zeit befand sich hier das Zentrum von Handel, Politik und Rechtssprechung. Das Kolosseum befindet sich nicht weit davon entfernt. Es wurde von Lord Byron als "blutiger Zirkus der Gladiatoren" beschrieben, ist das größte Amphitheater der Welt und gilt als das beeindruckendste Bauwerk unter den Ruinen und Gebäuden Roms.

"Alles gut"
Gefallen hat: das nett eingerichtete kleine Zimmer mit den guten Betten, die Sauberkeit in dem Hotel, das freundliche Personal, das Frühstück, welches dem deutschen Geschmack Rechnung trug, die Lage des kleinen Hotels, etwas abseits vom Massentourismus, aber dicht an Metro und Buslinien, die Ruhe. Fazit: zu empfehlen

Nettes Hotel mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Personal z.t. deutschsprachig. Von der nahegelegenen Piazza Maggiore gute Verkehrsanbindung. Bus Nr. 105 fährt zum Termini und zurück.

"Sehr gutes Hotel in ruhiger, zentrumsnaher Lage"
Das Hotel ist sehr gut geeignet für einen Urlaub in Rom. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig inkl. Rührei, Aufschnitt und Nutella. Das Personal war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

in einem hotel dieser preisklasse und lage darf und kann man keine wunderdinge verlangen, aber sauberkeit schon. die rezeption und der frühstücksbereich sind klein aber nett eingerichtet, das personal war freundlich und somit war der erste eindruck auch positiv. leider war das zimmer dann selbst für diese preisklasse unterirdisch. beginnend bei der […] größe, noch kleiner wäre nicht möglich gewesen. ansonsten war der zustand des zimmers einfach nicht in ordnung. die wände waren schmutzig, der teppich voller flecken, rund um die klimaanlage staub und schimmel, ähnliches gilt fürs bad. selbst für ein hotel, dass man für einen wochenendtrip bucht und es ausschließlich als übernachtungsmöglichkeit nutzt, war der zustand des zimmers nicht ausreichend und unbefriedigend. "4 Nächte ohne funktionierende Klimaanlage"
Der erste Eindruck war positiv: Schöne Umgebung, freundlicher Empfang, das Zimmer klein, aber soweit in gutem Zustand (abgesehen von einigen Schimmelflecken im Badezimmer). Da wir Mitte Juli in Rom waren, war es entsprechend heiss: 38 C°. Die Klimanalge funktionierte leider nicht. Auf unsere Reklamation hin, wurde uns erklärt, dass wir die Anlage nicht […] richtig bedient hätten... Doch auch in der zweiten Nacht, war von einer Kühlung nichts zu spüren. Auf unsere Reklamation am nächsten Morgen, wurde uns versprochen, dass sich ein Techniker der Sache annimmt - leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage während unserem gesamten Aufenthalt nicht, die Nächte in dem vom Tag aufgeheizten Zimmer wurden zur Qual. Schade - denn ansonsten scheint mir das Hotel einen guten Eindruck zu machen! Mehr

Sehr nettes Hotel. Insbesondere die Bereiche Empfang, Lobby,... entschädigen für die doch kleinen Zimmen
"gutes Hotel"
Wir waren an einem verlängerten Wochenende in Rom in diesem Hotel. Es hat alles gepasst, das Personal war freundlich, Frühstücksbuffet ist ganz gut. Die Lage ist recht zentral, man kann zu Fuß zum Kolosseum (ca 15 min, die Metrostation liegt auf halbem Weg). Es gibt einen sehr schönen Innenhof mit Pflanzen und Tischen/Sitzbänken, auf denen man auch […] frühstücken kann (sehr schön!). Unser Zimmer war im ersten Stock und hatte das Fenster genau auf den Innenhof - da wir lange schlafen haben wir dadurch aber leider auch die anderen Gäste in der Früh gehört. Außerdem war das Fenster unseres Zimmers offenbar frisch gestrichen, denn es roch stark nach Farbe und ließ sich schwer öffnen/schließen. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel. Mehr

"Erreichbarkeit mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln"
Grundsätzlich ist das Hotel mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar - wenn man sich auskennt. Bei einem Touristen wird man das kaum voraussetzen können. Daher empfehle ich, dass das Hotel die Anfahrt von den Flughäfen, bzw. vom Hauptbahnhof in ihrer Homepage bekannt gibt. Zwar habe ich nach vielem Suchen im Internet einen Metroplan gefunden, […] mit dessen Hilfe wir bis auf 10 Gehminuten ans Ziel herankamen, aber in der Metro treibt sich so viel Gesindel und Taschendiebe herum (uns ist am ersten Tag die Kamera gestohlen worden), dass wir sie nur im äussersten Notfall benutzten. Sehr nützlich wäre auch der Hinweis in der Hp, dass man für die ÖV (Metro, Bus, Tram) günstige Mehrtageskarten an Metroautomaten beziehen kann (vielleicht auch woanders, das haben wir aber nicht herausgefunden). Das Hotel erfüllte bezüglich Preis- und Leistung unsere Erwartungen vollkommen und ist für einen Städtetrip in Rom, bei welchem ein Zimmer lediglich zum übernachten benötigt wird, zu empfehlen. Bezüglich Service der Receptionisitin hätten wir mehr erwartet. Die Hilfsbereitschaft für nützliche Tipps war ohne ausdrückliches Nachfragen nicht riesig. Schade. The hotel is reasonably well sited and in walking distance of the old part of the city and there is a metro stop close by that takes you to anywhere in the city. There are several restaurants nearby covering affordable to more expensive menus. The hotel staff in the main were friendly and helpful and the courtyard area of the hotel is a pleasant setting […] for relaxing. Our only criticism of the hotel would be the bathroom in our room, which has an old fashioned hand held shower in the bath and not a walk-in shower. Generally we were satisfied with our stay. Mehr
"Beautiful art and kitshy decor - horrific service"
This is a cute and artsy hotel with some lovely art on the walls and lots of interesting antiques. The room was fair enough, although the sliding glass door to the bathroom left one with a voyeristic feeling - and not in a good way. Bed was not the most comfortable, but surviveable. The worst part of my experience was the sub-par service and snobby […] attitude og the receptionist. He was not willing to help in any manner, and even though I had indicated that I would be travelling with a two-year old, there was no baby bed in the room. When I pointed this out I was informed this was my own fault bc I had not spesifically requested a babybed. When I asked whether something could be worked out, and indicated that I would willingly pay for this, there was no effort what so ever to be helpful. To add to this was this man so condenscending in his attitude when responding to any question, it was quite repulsive. The breakfast was fair. The cleaning was also sub par. The airconditioning did not work, so I had the choice of suffocating from heat or sleeping with an open window and the noise of Rome.. I tried both, neither worked - by morning I was exhausted. The location of the hotel is good, you are within walking distance of the colosseum and other sights. BUT, This is definitely NOT a four-star hotel, and the staff's attitude leaves one with a bad taste . I will never go back there, and would recommend people to stay away from this hotel!! Mehr

Two-three long blocks from Marconi metro station. Neighborhood is a little dead at night. Traffic noise keeps you up at night, so make sure you bring earplugs if you stay here. Front desk is helpful and trustworthy for advice on dining and transportation.

The hotel is quite old but is clean and appears well maintained. The food at breakfast was ok and plentiful but there was not always enough plates/bowls. The staff were not particularly friendly but I have found the same in other Italian hotels. there is a tram stop round the corner which gets you to Termini station in about 10mins. The hotel should […] not be rated as 4 star but it was very comfortable and for the tourist it will be a good base for seeing Rome. Mehr

I thought this place was worth every penny! the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the local area and the room conditions were immaculate. The A/C worked good we had a descent view and the bed was pretty comfy. it was a bit of a walk to the termini station and the underground but traffic wasn't as bad as other places so it didn't keep us up at […] night. ,I highly recommend this hotel! Interestingly enough, none of the taxis I took during my stay knew of this hotel by name. Easy enough, I told them the address and they knew instantly how to get there. The price was good, nice room and overall service was great. Very helpful staff and wonderful to talk to. The only issues I had were ... Frist, the hair dryer sucked. Bring your own […] or be prepared to buy one. Second, ask specifically for a room that does NOT border the courtyard. After a long day of touring Rome, you are guaranteed to have some loud mouth below your window yacking all night. It's not the hotels fault people want to get drunk. And after complaining each time they told them to be quiet. Again, great service from the staff but tourists are tourists. Save yourself the trouble and get a non-courtyard side room. Third, the hotel contracts with a tour company for various tours throughout Italy. They have brochures at the entrance. I do not recommend specifically the bus tours. The bus tours are a racket and they price-gouge you on drinks when they stop for bathroom breaks and lunch. If you do go on a bus tour, bring your own water for the whole day and possibly food. Good area, cheap mini-market close by for decent priced food and drinks (Soda and 2 Liter Water). G.Fassi Gelato is on 63 Principe Phillip (I think). And decently priced pizza in the area. Mehr
"Not the best..."
I've stayed in worse...that's about the nicest thing I can say. The surrounding neighborhood is a dump, there was black mold all over our wall and AC vent, half the staff was friendly/half jerks. It was livable and we made it work, but it just wasn't quite as advertised. "A few feet" from the metra stop is actually a couple of blocks, which would be […] fine...if the stop wasn't closed for construction. Our window overlooked a lovely homeless gentleman that slept under the aqueduct every night. I wouldn't be as upset if it weren't for the cost...this was simply not worth the money - I could tolerate it more it were half the price. For this money, there has to be better....don't buy into the pics. Only use as a last resort. Mehr

An excellent boutique type hotel in a very convenient location only two metro stops from the Termini. Very warm and welcoming with extremely helpful and accomodating staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Superb breakfasts. Thoroughly recommended despite no cfofee making facilities and only Italian TV chanels in the bedroom
My husband and I booked a room here for the last night of our trip to celebrate our first anniversary. I loved the unique artwork and decor and the breakfast was wonderful. Our room was connected to another room by a door that didn't lock, which I didn't really like. Otherwise there is nothing that I really disliked about the hotel, other than the fact […] that we stayed in some apartment style hostels and other hostels with the same amenities for almost half the price. The room was a reasonable size for a european hotel. The location was not that great. Even it was about 5 blocks away from the metro station, it felt like an isolated area and after dawn we even had the sensation of being in an area not very safe.

Not a fancy or terribly nice hotel but decent. Our shower did not drain properly, the AC barely worked and the breakfast was the worst of all our hotels on vacation (3 weeks!) but the location was decent and the staff was very nice. You could probably do better in Rome, but there are so many to choose from, it's like a needle in a haystack...

"Hotel Emona Aquaeductus-near main train station"
We chose this hotel because of it's location to the train station. We had only a 12 hour stop over and wanted an easy walk back and forth from the trains. It was about an 8 block walk. No real sites around the neighboorhood. Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, and close to a few restraunts. Would stay again for trains, but not for attractions unless […] you want to take the metro to everything. Mehr

The hotel was a little off the beaten path which was nice as it was quite. It is only 5 -10 min walk to the subway and has supermarkets nearby for cheap food and drinks. Small but clean and nice rooms with a great breakfast and very nice staff.

This is a beautiful hotel full of ecletic art work and furnighings. The staff was very friendly & helpful, the breakfast superb. My only complaint was the bed was hard. The room and bathroom were small up adequate size, the view onto the aqueduct great. I would stay there again.

Really loved this hotel, with its unusual art and vintage furniture. 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and less to the wonderful San Clemente basilica. Excellent public transport and several excellent local restaurants. Our family room was actually two small, nicely-decorated rooms plus bathroom, with views of the aqueduct across the road and citrus […] trees in the garden below. There was some traffic noise, but not bad for Rome. Also, varied and plentiful breakfast. Would recommend. Mehr
This is not a large hotel by any means. And it's a bit off the beaten path. It's maybe a 12 minute walk from the coloseum. But the hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the staff is excellent. Andrea was quite helpful with restaurants, parking, and suggestions of places to visit. The breakfast was ample and the entryway was picture perfect. Overall is was a nice hotel, the people there were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and the room and toilet was clean and good. . However I find the distant to the Metro a little to far, about 10mins walk. It's fine if you're not carrying any luggages but when we arrived in Rome we have to lug our luggages from the metro to the hotel (that […] was a tough journey). Mehr
"Close to Colisseum"
This was our first stop in Italy and it was not a disappointment. It was close to the metro and the subway was easy to manuever. It was also an easy walk over to the Colisseum. It offered a good breakfast, had a friendly staf, and the internet had a fast speed. The lobby was lovely and gave a great first impression. The hotel did have some downfalls […] though. The television in the room had no channels in English. It also had two single beds pushed together that rolled apart whenever we moved around too much. These beds were also rock solid and were no good for my back. Also there was no information provided in the room regarding the hotel or the area. Mehr

When you arrive the lobby might seem a bit strange - weird decor and paintings. Reception very helpful. The lift seemed very old and we rather used the stairs! The room was clean and quiet. Flatscreen tv in the room didn't work properly. Aircon was nice. Breakfast was adequate - bread, cereal, fruit, yogurt, but nothing fancy. But enough to fill your […] stomach. It is too far to walk from Roma Termini, but the Metro and tram stop close by (tram is closer - you just have to figure out which one to take). Free internet in lobby. "A great place to stay in Rome"
I stayed here with my mother, sister and boyfriend. We had 2 double rooms and both were very nice. The decorations of the hotel were eclectic and pleasing and breakfast was the best of any we had in Italy. There is a short walk from the metro which was no problem, and Im sure wouldnt be bad for anyone with large bags either because there were no stairs […] or anything to climb along the way. The staff was able to direct us to some nearby restaurants that werent in "tourist" areas, and were a lot cheaper than in the city center. There were busses within a couple of blocks that brought us to the catacombs, making all of the sights very accessible. The one problem for anyone with heavy luggage is that the elevator was broken and did not look like there were plans to repair it anytime soon. Otherwise, I would absolutely stay here again. This was a good location for walking to the major tourist sights and seeing central Rome (which actually we found a bit dissappointing!). The room was basic but accomodated three of us well, and the AC kept the summer head down. The staff all seemed to understand English and were very helpful. There is a comfortable seating area outside the hotel entrance […] and useful intenet access within the inside seating area. While we were there the lift was being renovated!
