Comfort Inn Convention Center - New York

Reisezeit: Anfang Dezember 2010. Wir waren zu dritt, meine Gattin und meine 21 jährige Tochter. Das Zimmer (bis 4 Personen) ist so klein, das man nur nacheinander zur Türe und retour gehen konnte. Auch noch OK, wir sind ja eine Familie. Die beiden Betten haben das Zimmer zu 60% ausgefüllt, zwischen den Betten waren noch 50cm Platz. Das allerschlimmste […] ist aber die Heizung. Als wir ankamen war es eisig kalt im Zimmer, zwischen dem Bett unter dem Fenster ist das Heiz-Kühlgerät eingebaut. Dieses Gerät ist so derartig laut, das schlafen (für Uns 3) nicht möglich ist. Glücklicherweise hatte ich am Flughafen Wien Oropax wegen der Zugluft im Flugzeug gekauft.. Extrem schlimm ist auch die Person dran, die neben dem Gerät (ich) schlafen liegen durfte, da dir das Gerät wie ein Haarföhn aquf die Beine bläst. Es ist auch so, das die Warmluftheizung permanet läuft, also nicht nach Bedarf. Abdrehen ist nicht drinn, da sonst das Kopfkissen nach 15-30Minuten schon so kalt war, dass wir echt Sorge hatten uns zu erkälten. Ansonsten sehr heisses Wasser mit wenig Druck im Bad vorhanden. Ich werde wieder ins Pennsyl.... Hotel umziehen. Das nur wegen der Heizung. Mehr

zum Entspannen nach langem Sightseeing-und Shoppingtag sehr gut geeignet. Nicht halb so laut, wie man sich eigentlich New York imm Normalfall vorstellt. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal.

I was in town for work. I sleped there a few hours a day and that's it. The rest of my time I was running.

Convenient to many subway stops, short walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The room was adequate with 2 beds however, like we had also read in a review, the space is quite limited and very compact!! Don't take much luggage as you won't have room to walk! Many hotels do not offer breakfast, so to have this included in the room, was definitely […] a benefit and cost savings compared to eating out in town. No hot water!

My conference was only a few blocks away at 404 Space. Location is convenient, and just over the bridge. Nice little free breakfast and free wi-fi are big pluses. Just a good deal for the area. I'll return!

the a/c ran all night... in march.... no hot water to tale showers in am ran water for 15 min straight. nothing came

I viewed the properties on Hotels.com for a place to stay without fancy bells and whistles. The Comfort Inn has convenient location, very comfortable bed, nice tv and a nice breakfast. It was also very inexpensive by NYC standards. I was able to stay there overnight and enjoy my weekend in NYC.

Friendly staff, small rooms but overall a great value in NYC. They do have a problem with wake up calls. Missed two days in a row.

Everything was great other than they only get about 5 channels on the TV. Nice place, good price.

I can't believe Hotels.com would recommend a hotel like this. I was told it was a four star hotel and I felt so tricked from hotels.com for saying it was a great stay. I will never use this place again or hotels.com. The room was so small and dirty and the T.V plus the air condtioner didn't work. I had to make a last minute trip to NY and this hotel satisfied all of my necessities. Close to food, a place to sleep, a shower and a television with cable. I didn't really need much more than that so I was completely satisfied. There is even free breakfast in the mornings. his hotel was great, the room were super clean and the service i received from that staff was great! i recommend this hotel to pretty much anyone. its a shot walking distant to time square and a lot of fun things to do.

YOU CANT CALL THIS PROPERTY AS HOTEL THE NAME ITSELF MISLEADING AS IT IS CALLED "CONVENTION CENTRE". A PIECE OF HELL WITHOUT LOBBY, COFFEESHOP etc etc. very bad and scary atmosphere with box type room . we booked for three day but checked out next day and went to HOLIDAY INN MIDTOWN.

Coming into the lobby we weren't too sure what this small hotel had in store. It's pretty basic. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the reception desk and staff were helpful when I was having problems with WiFi (signal wasn't great in my room). The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise - I expected a bowl of fruit and a plate of […] muffins, but there was cereal, yogurt, bacon, eggs, waffles, toast - and it was included in the deal I booked. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the closest bus stop or subway station but we felt safe enough in the neighbourhood and probably the plus side to being a little off the beaten path was that the street outside was actually quiet at night and we were able to get a good sleep both nights. It's a nice hotel, the location of the hotel is a little bad. But if you walk a few blocks you will get to a subway station and food. We walked all the way to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Great location! We were able to walk to Times Sq which is where a lot of tourist stuff is based e.g. the bus tours. The rooms are not big but that is normal in NY I think. They were clean and had everything we needed - TV, hair dryer, closet, safe, bath/shower, toilettries. Breakfast was quite good considering it was included in the rate. This hotel was close to Penn Station as we needed just a one night stop over. It was small but clean and the surrounding area had great restaurants. It was a little high priced for what you got but it is Manhattan after all. Would definitely stay here again if I needed something convenient to Penn Station or the Javits Center.

The location is perfect for tourists who want to go places in NYC. We stayed for 3 days and because the place was just right next to the city center, we were able to explore Manhattan mostly on foot. The room was always clean and well kept.If you are average on the scale, the space is not generous but just right. We were on tight schedule and the free […] breakfast saved us time in the morning. DID NOT LIKE WHEN WE ENTER THE HOTEL SEEN LADIES OF THE NIGHT INSIDE THE HOTEL. THEN THE TV IN THE ROOM DID NOT WORK. WE HAD TO CHANGE ROOM .

no cups in room when I called down she said I could come down to get a cup, The TV did not work just got a couple of channels, they couldn't send someone up until the next morning, when I got back to the hotel the TV did not work at all, they sent someone up and he couldn't fix it. They took the towel matt did not replace it in the bathroom and left […] me with just two towels. I am going to dspute this bill when I get the charge, I will fight this charge due to lack of service rendered, Need I say more. Mehr

Convenient location, but subway access was a bit limited, especially to Times Square. Excellent continental breakfast.

I've stayed in many hotels in NYC over the years. While the Comfort Inn wasn't the worst, it certainly was not the best. You basically get what you pay for. The tv in my room was crooked and only had a total of 5 channels...Fox didn't work and all I wanted to do was watch Glee at 8. The room was small, but it was just me so that didn't bother me. I'd […] recommend staying here for a night or two on business....never with a family or large group of people. Location was convenient for me to run to the train the next morning. hotel itself was fine. felt like not great value for money, but on Manhattan, what would you expect. All staff members we came in contact with were very friendly, capable and that made stay very positive....

Whilst quite a basic hotel, it has all of the essentials you need, but it's big plus point is staff who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a good experience. After check out left my bags with them to go sight seeing, and when I got back was still able to relax and get a 'final coffee' before resuming my journey.

Clean hotel and one of the few that offers complimentary continental breakfast. Room and bath was clean and neat. If you don't care about luxury, this hotel is simple and does the job. Being cautious about the bedbug problem at hotels etc, my husband and I came prepared with sticky rollers, lysol etc. As soon as we arrived in the room we place all luggage and bags on top of the desk, and tore apart the bedding checking the mattress and headboard and area surrounding it. I used the sticky paper roller to roll onto the carpet and did […] not find any bed bug activity but we did find that the hotel did not regularly vacuum areas other than the path around the bed. The sticky paper picked up lots of debris but no bugs. We make it a habit of cleaning the phone, remote to the tv and handles of doors and areas in the bathroom with Lysol. Mehr

Quiet enough, clean, safe, need to walk a few blocks to get to activity, but reasonable distance for able-bodied people, family with kids. Seems at first like "middle of nowhere" neighborhood but actually secure, near police station, walkable to restaurants, train/bus/subway, entertainment. Only complaint: hotel skimps on towels for no reason: only […] ONE bath towel each for two people---no wash cloths or face towels supplied and it's always a bother to have to ask desk to send them up! If you are taking a red eye to go to a conference at the convention center, this is extremely convenient as it is a one block walk to the center. The rooms are very small, but that does not matter since you are only crashing there each night. The staff was great. We arrived before check-in and they were more than happy to store our luggage so we could explore the city. The room was a little small but is fine if all you are gonna do is sleep. For the price, I will stay there for my next visit to NYC.
