only 10 minutes from dart station - very convenient for travel to dublin city. staff very friendly. no heating in family room but for a plug in electric radiator so we had to leave this plugged in all night to get any level of comfort in the room. luckily there were 2 adults and 2 teenagers for heat too.contintental breakfast adequate but would have […] liked a seledtion of breads/croissants. plenty of juices available. overall just fine for what we paid for the break Mehr

A very poor hotel. On arrival you are hit with a charge to park in the car park. Check in time is apparently 16:00 but that did not stop me having to wait until twenty past four until the room was ready. I was on a business trip and therefore internet connection is very important, however there is no wireless connection in all the rooms, and in fact […] i could not get a connection anywhere further than the lounge on the ground floor, when i mentioned to the receptionist that the hotel advertises itself with high speed wireless internet in the rooms, she did not seem surprised of the complaint. I was awoken on my first morning with a fire alarm which was a false alarm that they could not switch off, and the second evening i was awoken with slamming doors and the conversation between a couple in the room next door, as well as being able to hear everything that happened in their toilet. Add to that you have to run water for over fifteen minutes before it starts to get hot, it is a very poor hotel. I would never stay there again. Mehr

Hotel was very expensive, parking was an extra charge. Staff were nice but shower didn't work properly and the duvet had burn holes in it. Wad ok but for the price we paid would expect better standards in room.

Enjoyed our two night stay Great base from which to explore the East coast .

My husband and I spent 2 nights in The Royal hotel bray last week it has an excellent location near Dart station, we had a lovely room No 357 but bathroom very cold and also carpet in bedroom was stained and also stains on quilt cover overall I would recommend this hotel for its location but i think it could do with a general overhaul. I went for the weekend with my 2 grandchildren aged 3 & 4. Our room was lovely and spacious and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was cold and could do with a bit of TLC. DIning room & food very enjoyable and lovely pleasant staff. Pity there wasn't any kids' tv channels.. would have helped when I went to have shower ect. Overall we enjoyed the weekend. […] Be aware that the carpark is at the back of the hotel and you enter from there, but it's a very long walk to reception with bags & kids. Mehr

The hotel is very nice for a 3 star premise. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is exquisite, the tiger prawns in particular. And when you take into consideration the leisure club facility, a very good deal all round.

Just lovely, the hotel. the setting and the service. The staff were the most pleasant i have encountered in quite a while. I travel a lot and have experienced many hotels, and would have no hesitation in recommending The Royal to anyone. Top marks for hospitality and value. A Little gem.

Very disappointing, the hotel is very shabby, the recption area is like fawlty towers and the photos that they use are the back of the hotel which is actually the leisure centre which doesnt belong to the hotel which is of a completely different quality. The leisure centre has fantastic facilities. We were put in a room at the front of the hotel which […] is overlokking the main street which is very noisy even with the windows were closed, we had a baby with us and they provided us with a travel cot with a broken base and a mattress that only fitted 2/3 of the cot which is extremely dangerous for a baby to sleep in!!!! we did get moved to what they called an executive room which was the size of a cupboard so not ideal for all the stuff you need when travelling with a baby!!!!!! at that stage we were too tired to complain so we let it go. I was so disappointed the front of the hotel had drunks standing smoking most of the time. The hotel rooms also had a lot of stairs to the rooms which meant alot of hassle carrying everything and lifting a pram constantly. This hotel is just awful unless you are looking for a cheap drunken night. Would definitely not recommend Mehr

The room was small and the bed was oldish. Since it was warm need to sleep with the window open but there were no screens so the bugs came in. There was barely warm water for showers. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

This hotel is tired and needs refrubishment. The room was tire and really old and dated and the pictures of hotel does not reflect the actual accommodation. I was disappointed to say the lease.

We have been staying at the Royal for many years, The service and staff are excellent. The Leisure Center is very enjoyable. The only recommendations I have would be to : update their computer system replace bedspreads in some of the rooms as they are quite worn.

The staff were very nice but the decor is in serious need of updating. Our room was a decent size but bordering on 'grubby'. It was very over-priced considering it was 'room only'.

If you have a car beware they charge a price for parking!! room was unclean, had mangers knocking getting the wrong room lack of communication skills!!!! our shower was leaking into the room below so we had maintaince men in and out of our room and were never moved. the lock on the bedroom door was broken. and the breakfast was not fit for my dog. steam […] room was not working and the pool changing rooms were dirty hair and grim on the floors.. the only good thing i have to say was the bar food was OK. We arrived 6th Aug 2010 for 1 night. My wife needed to use the ladies while I was booking in but found all the toilets were locked...as were just about every door in the building. It would be easier to move around Fort Knox. The room (205) was decent but it was not far from the fire-door in the hallway which banged constantly until after 3am. We did […] not get a good hight's sleep. My wife took the children to use the leisure facilities for which she had to leave a deposit and have doors unlocked...by the time all this rigmarole had passed, the children had little time left to play. At breakfast the following morning the cooked breakfast was burnt and cold..as was the toast..and nobody could find drinking glasses. We finished beakfast quickly and were glad to be booking out soon. At checkout my wife informed the receptionist about the banging door. Whilst the receptionist seemed concerned, the duty manager could not hide the fact that he was not interested in what she said. This is a hotel crammed full of all facilities except one...customer service! Mehr

whilst the hotel was a bit *oldie worldie * it was clean tidy and the food was of good quality staff were helpful the only issue was parking facility or lack of it

We were only in the hotel for one night. Our double room was quite small. I had to move a chair from the area at the end of the bed as it would have left very little room for me to squeeze past in order to get to my side of the bed. The noise travels quite easily from other rooms. I heard a parent shouting loudly at their child in another room, I heard […] corridor doors slamming and the nearby church bells that went off every half hour or so on a Sunday morning. The room was clean, comfortable and adequate for a single night stay, but I would have been very unimpressed if we had been allocated it for a longer period. The bar downstairs seems nice, the menu in it isn't extensive but does quite nice sandwiches. We didn't use the leisure centre or restaurant and we didn't decide to have breakfast there. For what we paid and what we wanted (somewhere cheap and handy for a night after a wedding) it was fine. Mehr

The hotel was located in the centre of the town and everything was within walking distance. The lesisure facilities were very good and the games room would kep any child entertained. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel ideally situated close to dart and seafront.However hotel very grubby and rundown apart from leisure centre which had recently been renovated. Would not stay there again

Great Hotel a pity about the car park this lets it down in a big way. Could not get parking and not happy about also having to pay to park the car.

Efter lidt besvær med parkering, da deres nærliggende p-plads var fyldt. Og efter lidt besvær med indtjek hvor de ville have en voucher, men det viste sig de selv havde kopi af bestilling og betaling fra hotels.com. Værelse var småt men OK. Fint nok til bare overnatning. Beliggenheden er ikke helt som det fremgår af Google Maps hvor man nærmest får […] det indtryk at det ligger ned til vandet eller med et stort grønt areal foran. Det ligger i udkanten af centrum men der er kun 5-7 min. at gå til strandpromenaden. Mehr

En bit från Darten och strandpromenaden men bra pris. Ingen utsikt från vårt stort rum. Lyhört i korridor, mycket halvtrappor och lång väg till rum, dvs ingen hiss med bagaget. Inget kylskåp på rummet men vattenkokare. Sköna sängar. Trångt i duschen. Kallt på golvet i badrummet (juni 2011). Vi bad att få ett stort och tyst rum, därför ingen utsikt […] alls men dock två stora sängar. Mehr

La struttura risulta un pò datata e lo stato di manutenzione delle camere è variabile a seconda della camera, in precedenti occasioni la camera assegnatami era decisamente migliore. Sotto questo aspetto comunque lo stato generale risulta nel complesso soddisfacente.
