Das Hotel Montecarlo in Venedig liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Makus Platzes und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig.Dsa Office ist sehr freundlich, mehrsprchig und hlifsbereit.

das Hotel ist an und für sich sehr gut. was furchtbar ist, sind die Betten ! Das ist nach heutigem Standard eine Zumutung ! Die Kopfkissen sind hart und nur eine Qual, die Bettdecke- leider auch nur eine für zwei Personen- viel zu dünn für diese Jahreszeit. Das geht gar nicht. Nur aus diesem Grunde würden wir dort nicht mehr wohnwn wollen!

ein gutes touristenhotel. zentral, ruhig und sauber. das personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich,. wir haben uns direkt dort wohl gefühlt und würden das hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Super Lage, freundliche Service und gute Frühstücksbuffet. Kann es weiterempfehlen. Aber: Nimm der Vaporetta nach Murano anstatt mit dem von Hotel arrangierten Muranoüberfahrt.

We enjoyed our stay at the Montecarlo very much. The location is top, 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, cereals, fresh fruit etc. Recommended!

Super Lage! Alles sauber, und freundlich. Frühstück ok. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Beim nächsten Mal sicher wieder.

Ok..so we just stayed at the best western montecarlo last week and I must say this hotel is great in terms of location. Right around the corner to St. Marks, close to vaporetto stops, overall very convienient. However, the rooms very tight. I know that this is what to expect with European and especially Venice hotels, but the size of the room and bathroom […] was hysterically small. You could also hear conversations and movement very very clearly from the hallway, so if you're a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you. The room was also extremely hot due to the warm weather. Control of the temp was not available from the room and hotel concierage was not willing to help with this since if was off season for AC. It was very hit or miss with the staff, some very helpful and some not. My husband had to go downstairs to get toliet paper since the housekeeping did not leave any in our bathroom and they were obvioulsy annoyed with him that he had asked for it. Wifi was hit or miss as well. Breakfast was fine, had your selction of fruits, meats, cheeses, danishes etc - enough to get you started in the morning to explore the island. And finally the hotel does offer a complimentary water taxi service to the island of Murano that leaves every 30 minutes starting at 9am, not sure when the last one departs. While it was very nice to get the free ride to Murano, once you get there be ready to spend some time in a glass factory with very annoying sales people trying to get you to spend thousands of dollars on glass peices. We took the tour of the factory, watched the master blow art and then took our own public water taxi to Burano (which was magical). If buying glass work is for you then this will be great, but if it is not I would be polite but walk quick through the 12 galleries they make you walk through to exit the factory. Overall the hotel has one great thing going for them and that is the location, but for the price I would probably look into other options. Mehr

Crisp white sheets, comfortable warm beds and friendly helpful staff. We spent 4 nights in late January 2012 in this wonderfully located hotel. Just 2 street corners away from San Marco and certainly within earshot of its bells. Great range in buffet breakfast, spotless rooms and so central you could pop back to recharge batteries. Everything about our stay here was fantastic - position right behind San Marco Square, rooms were charming and well maintained, full breakfast was great and the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would gladly recommend this hotel.

This hotel can be difficult to find but the location is fantastic for walking all over Venice and so very close to St. Marks Square and the Grand Canal. It was not the most comfortable bed but in general while outdated the room was nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was tasty. Great coffee.

Amazing location, right in San Marco Square. Hotel room and bath was very small and tight. It's like you dont when it starts and ends. Hotel staff very friendly except a manager that works during night time, very rude and not friendly at all. I stayed 2 nights in September 2011 and because of that manager may not go back again.

The hotel staff was very nice and provided good recommendations for dinner and lunch. They also provided a trip to Murano Island to see the glass blowing.

Stayed overnight at Hotel Montecarlo in September 2011. Brilliant location - just off St Marcos. Small room - which was fine - lovely new bathroom - very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

I would highly recommend this hotel to other Venice travelers. The hotel rooms were clean and the receptionists were very friendly. I especially loved the breakfast. Highlight of the breakfast: warm toasted crossiants and scramble eggs! My only gripe is that it seemed like the receptionists were willing to give our key to anyone everytime we asked for […] it back. Other than that, I had a wonderful time here. Mehr

Do you want to be where the action is. This is the place. Once at the hotel you can walk to all sites. Great location and the staff are very helpful. Water taxi from airport can drop you off very close to the hotel. Ask hotel for name of the drop off place (canal).

best location in Venice, few step from St Mark Square, the must see place in Venice. From airport, just take the location water bus, the BLUE line, it takes you from airport to the St Mark Square station and you have a chance to see the ocean around Venice.

This hotel looks like it has not been updated since 1970! The positives . . . the staff was extremely nice and helpful and spoke English. The location is great as it's very close to Piazza San Marco and tons of shopping in every direction. The room was clean and the bathroom was updated and also clean. The negatives . . . broken and leaking mini-fridge, […] broken hair dryer, general musty smell throughout the property. Extremely outdated furnishing throughout the property. The breakfast was decent, but the breakfast rooms were tiny and overcrowded. Overall, not the best bang for your buck . . . next time, I'd rather shell out a few more bucks and get something nicer. The location was excellent (seconds away from Piazza San Marco, lots of restaurants and shopping), rooms are very clean, breakfast was great...extensive selection. The decoration of the room may not be very modern, but it is charming and typical of Venice (of course rooms are small) Overall, it is a good choice and good value for Venice.

The ac hardly works ever, we changed rooms but it was not easy, tv did not work in 2 of our rooms. Out of 4 staff members only one was not rude to us. Location is the best. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean!!!

Really liked this hotel. The location was excellent and the level of service seemed of higher standard than I would usually expect from a 3 star hotel. Included breakfast was good and had enough variety to keep the kids interested. It was maybe a little on the expensive side, but no more than any other hotel in a similar location in venice.

Nice large room, very helpful staff, great location only a few steps from St. Marks. Breakfast was very good also. Plus, they even threw in a free water taxi ride to Murano to tour a glass factory. Highly recommended.

The Monte Carlo is the BEST choice for your stay in Venice. It is centrally located to the best foods, shopping, and sites in Venice. The staff is incredible. In 30 plus years of travel I have never met a staff as genuinely interested in my comfort and stay as the staff was here. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. The location at Saints Mark's square […] is perfect and the staff is more than helpful at getting your arrangements set to accommodate all your wants and needs to any event. Mehr

Excellent location, comfortable and clean, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very small, but well-equipped. Dining room rather cramped, but very good breakfast. Overall, an excellent choice for a short break in Venice. Visitors staying for longer periods might want to choose a hotel with larger rooms.

Enjoyed our stay here - reasonalbe bedrooms - we were 9 ladies with 4 rooms although one of the rooms was very hot!!! Staff were friendly Breakfast ok could do with improved reception seating /lounge guess they are short on space being in a prime spot

We booked way in advance in January as we knew Venice would get crowded after the Easter weekend, and the pictures and reviews online were great. Our room however was a bitter disappointment - it was 10 x8!!! Ive never stayed in a smaller room in my life. The hotel itself is ok, the people friendly and the breakfast is good, but the room almost ruined […] Venice for us. We peeped into a couple of rooms while passing and saw they were definitely bigger than ours, and yet when asking at the reception, we got a shrug of the shoulders and a 'this is Venice' line. Very disappointing, would never go back or recommend this hotel to anyone just because of the rooms. Mehr

Great location , 100 meters or so from St Mark's Square (although wheeling baggage in & out , on very narrow lane presents a challenge) .Extra friendly & most helpful staff , clean , comparatively good value , plus full breakfast should make it onto anyone's shortlist .

The Staff at the Monte Carlo hotel are excellent, helpful, charming, courteous and extremely friendly. They made our stay memorable. We were travelling with elderley parents and the staff went out of their way to be very helpful . Thoroughly recommend this hotel. My only criticism would be that our room was a little on the small side so the bed was […] against the wall, however, I would still return to this hotel. Mehr

Great location but bit difficult to find.The street it's on is only as wide as a pavement.! Plenty of choice for breakfast.One of our rooms was smaller,with only a shower.Other room was more spacious,with full bath and shower.So it's the luck of the draw! The hotel was very clean, good service, excelent breakfest, very good location , just 3 seconds from Piaza del Marco. The price was excelent because I went in February.

great location. fresh sheets and towels every day cleaned everyday.only draw back no tea making facilities. but what a great place to have a short stay.

NICE HOTEL VERY FRIENDLY THE EMPLOYEES, SO HAPPY TO BE THERE ,CLOSE TO THE IMPORTANT PLACES IN VENICE AND THE WATERTAXI, CLOSE TO THE RESTAURANTS ,SHOPS ETC,WE RECEIVED A FREE TOUR TO MURANO ISLAND ,Y USED MY BOOTS FOR THE FLOOD BUT WITH WATER IT WAS GREAT!!! RECOMMEND 100%

My husband and I travelled with friends and chose this hotel based on location, which was perfect. The hotel is just off San Marco square, so perfect for sightseeing. The concierge was very helpful and also very funny. Room had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom and was very clean. The hotel had two negative points though - the bar was awful so definately […] wouldn't recommend that (basically some chairs round the edge of a small room) and although my husband and I were happy with our room on the first floor and at the back of the hotel, our friends were on the 4th floor at the front of the hotel and were woken every hour on the hour by the nearby church bells! Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days break. Mehr

Needed a hotel ASAP for a day, was flying out the next morning. Found this one online. Good hotel, Great location. Room was clean, decent size and Restroom was good too. Nothing wrong with room or hotel. Only problem I had was the Receptionist. He had an attitude when I asked if I could have visitors and made it uncomfortable for me to ask for anything […] else for the remainder of my stay. Mehr

Pros: - 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco - excellent service - breakfast has more choices than others in our Italian trip Cons: - expensive (compared to equivalent hotels in other italian cities) - room very small and you hear noise from other rooms and corridor - bed was 'curved', unacceptable for an hotel of this price

Very centrally located hotel - just beside San Marco Square. Lots of restaurants close by. Very friendly reception staff. They freely provided suggestions and gave good advice and information.
