2 Ü Anfang Oktober 2011: Jederzeit zu empfehlen! Alles entspricht der Hotelbeschreibung. Allerdings zu weit für zu Fuß in die Innenstadt, Taxi ca. 10 Euro sowie Bus in der Nähe. Lobenswert: Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter!

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt, aber direkt an einem großzügigen Einkaufscenter mit vielen Restaurants. Preis - Leistung passt wunderbar. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Barcelona Aufenthalt, dann gerne wieder in diesem Hotel.

schönes modernes hotel leider ein bisschen ausserhalb von der innenstadt dafür sehr günstig für tolles design

+nähe zum Flughafen (Bus 46 ca 10 Minuten) +Gute Anbindung an die Metrolinien (ca. 15 Min ins Zentrum) +Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltige Auswahl (war im Zimmerpreis inkl. - sonst 12 euro, teuer! +Eine Shopping Mall gleich gegenüber +freundliches Personal - eine Klobürste fehlte im Bad - Frühstück, wenn nicht inkl. mit 12 euro teuer

sehr schönes hotel, in einer ruhigen gegend. zur u-bahn zu fuß 5-10 min., auf dem weg dorthin und im einkaufszentrum gegenüber des hotels gute möglichkeiten zum frühstücken. bushaltestelle direkt vor der haustür.

The hotel was about 20 minutes from the city center by train, which meant the surrounding area was relatively quiet. One benefit was that all trains lines stopped at city center, so there was no confusion reading maps. The room was in good shape, with only a little wear in the bathroom. Everything was good and operational; any wear was purely cosmetic. […] Room service was better than average and not too pricey. The room had a television with many channels, but almost all of them were in Spanish or Catalan (just three English-speaking channels), so trying to relax with some TV was futile for a non-Spanish speaker. Wifi is available for free in the lobby, but if you want to have access in your room (if you room is above the 2nd or 3rd floor), you will need to pay 12 euros for the day. My room faced away from the wind, and it was consequently a bit too warm for my comfort. The window didn't open wide enough to let in much air, but in the summer, I would imagine that there is air conditioning to make it more comfortable. All said, the hotel was a very good deal in a quiet part of the city, 30 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from city center. Trains run late enough that getting back after a night out isn't an issue, and there is a large shopping center just down the street if you need anything. The rooms were well equipped and the hotel staff were friendly and spoke English well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy a few days in Spain. Mehr

Took us an hour of wandering to find it, and none of the locals seemed to know anything about it.

The hotel is not in the middle of all the action, but that was a good thing because the area was extremely quiet. We were scheduled to stay for 3 nights. As it happened, my husband got sick throughout our stay and needed the quiet. The hotel staff (housekeeping, front desk and even the bar tender who doubled as kitchen help) were extremely accommodating […] through this difficult time. We received healthcare recommendations, hot toddies and homemade chicken soup (outside the menu). We were scheduled to go to Malaga from there and learned that the airline we were to take had really strict luggage weight restrictions and thus had to leave a bag behind. The hotel agreed to hold it for us until our return--2 weeks later (at no charge)!! Of course we cancelled our reservations at the other hotel, near Las Ramblas (where we were scheduled to stay for another 4 nights upon our return) and chose to return to this hotel. We found that travel to all the main sites was not bad, given the good directions from the front desk, and using buses and trains, which were readily accessible from this location. In fact, travel was very inexpensive and we were able to get to the airport, only half an hour away, for the regular cost of a bus ride. So of course, we gave staff members handsome tips for their excellent service and still came out ahead with all our savings!!!! The staff at the two exclusive resorts we stayed at in Malaga should have taken lessons from this staff. Mehr

very pleased with hotel and friendly staff, shopping and resteraunts just across the road, my son liked the free mini bar, only with soft drinks though walking distance to neu camp but also close to train and tube station would use again

We choose this hotel because of the reviews from other americans going on cruises. They had a good experience. We did too. The rooms are small, but very modern. The staff are very helpful. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to the underground train. The staff at the hotel clued us on how to ride the train and we were able to get anywhere in Barcelona […] and back to our hotel for a minimal cost and no hassles. The cost of the hotel was very inexpensive compared to most of the hotels. We would definitely stay there again. Mehr

Not close to the sights, but easy access to train and bus. A tad hot for sleeping during the night, since they have air in the summer and heat in winter and we were in between seasons!!

Despite its location a little bit out of the city, the quality and service of this hotel more than made up for it. Immaculate room and common areas. Very helpful staff as well. The neighborhood, while it appeared safe enough, was mainly commercial buildings and apartment buildings. (not much to look at) There is a large mall a block away if you should […] need food or shopping. Two trains will get you to the city center in about 15 minutes. There are also several buses for late night service. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would definitely stay here again. Mehr

The hotel was very convenient and the staff very helpful.We walked to plaza Espagna from the hotel and it was pleasant. There was a nearby restaurant that was open long hours that we enjoyed. The room was clean and adequate. The mattress could have been a bit firmer for my liking. The breakfast was great and we were happy to learn that the 12 Euro breakfast […] was included. Mehr

Excellent hotel, great customer service, I definitely recommend, got a very reasonable deal.

Great clean modern hotel in a residential and business neighborhood outside the main city of Barcelona. The hotel is a business hotel, so it did not have any dressers in the room. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. When I said we were on our honeymoon, we got an upgrade to a king size bed. Positives: clean; nice staff; close to train; quiet […] area with no tourists. Negatives: continental breakfast not included and costs $12 Euros; only two little drawers in the closet; AC was not the greatest (it took a long time for the room to cool); free WiFi was only in the lobby. Very confortable, near of airport, train station, metro station!

Excellent choice. The hotel is clean and modern, has even the adaptor for the plugs. Free minibar. Internet is high speed. We could not have had a better choice. It is not lockated in City Center but the access is very easy. We had a car but we didn't need to pay the hotel parking because around the hotel was free parking.

2 blocks to increible Metro

It was a very short experience. We had a late check in and an early check out. Hotel is at an okay location... a little far from where I am used to saty in Barcelona. It is a nice hotel, clean, and well staffed hotel. If you are organized, on where to be and what to do... it can be a nice option for Barcelona.

We were in Europe for 2 weeks and Barcelona was our last destination. We decided to stay at AC Som after reading a lot of reviews. We got to the hotel at 10am and was hoping that they would allow us to check in early. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and well English spoken. We got our room after just 5 minute wait. We had nothing to complain […] about the room service. My husband was very satisfied with free drinks they gave us in the mini fridge (they also refilled it the next day). I saw many complaints about the hotel location, but the metro was just 10 mins walk away. We booked the room soon enough to get the rate that we think was a great deal. I highly recommend this hotel to those who want a comfortable place to stay and have a nice rest after spending a whole day exploring Barcelona. Mehr

The hotel is excellent, clean modern and well priced. A little out of town but there's a commuter train (FGC) that will take you into the city. The station is less than 2 mins from the hotel and metro tickets are valid on it. Would recommend, it is also opposite a massive shopping center which is very useful

the only negative things to say is soft pillows - too soft - had a sore neck each morning as though it hadnt been supported. breakfast wasn't included so 12.50 extra if wanted. service, cleanliness and standards all great

Excellent hotel, the free mini bar with cold drinks were a pleasure after warm, long days of sight seeing. The public transport in Barcelona is so excellent that it took us 10 minutes to get into the city centre whilst we experienced life in the suburbs. Absorbing the local culture in the local bars & eateries, language a problem but nothing hands […] signs cannot remedy. Mehr

Our Air Conditioner would not cool at all and while we went to dinner they cooled another room and they moved us immediately to a room nearby making it easier. Very Responsive to us.

Just back from a long weekend. Stayed at the AC Som hotel, which is a small, well maintained hotel, with extremely friendly, helpful staff. While the hotel is a little out from the centre, access is directly by metro or bus and found it a pleasant respite from the very busy city. Absolutely no problem is recommending this hotel.

Can't complain about the price, even cheaper than our hostel in the central area. Free mini bar is nice, free WIFI only in hotel lobby with your own laptop. It is very easy to go to central area by metro, which is only 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Lots dinning options in near shopping mall again only 3 minutes walk. Hotel buffet breakfast is expensive, […] 12 Euro per person. Mehr

Great hotel, behind the Grand Via 2 Mall Close to bus and subway to everywhere else to go in Barcelona. Great hotel- very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable.

The hotel looks very good, rooms are big & comfortable, staff is amazing and the breakfest is incredible. The hotel has services well above the standarts, such as free minibar in every room, huge couple beds and even a small gym and sauna! Neighborhood is very nice with an amazing shopping center nearby. On one hand, location is really good since the […] neighbourhood is quiet and the metro is really close. On the other hand- some people would definitely prefer to live in a more central place since in any way- getting to La Ramble takes ~20 minutes. It depends on the guests and their purposes. Mehr

The hotel staff were VERY helpful and friendly. Rooms were smart, clean and of a high standard. location is a bit out of the way but close to shopping mall and local taxi's

The price was so reasonable that we just hoped for the best .After staying in avery uncomfortable hotel in Paris at more than 3 times the price we were in heaven. The furnishings were very modern as was the lobby. Complimentary beverages inthe lounge were pleasant. There was a fantastic mall a block away with great shops and restaurants. We selected […] this location so we could easily get to the port for our cruise. A bus to all the main tourist sites was less than a block. Mehr

We chose this hotel for easy access to our cruise ship. We were very pleased. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. There is a lovely mail a very short walk away. The accessibility features were very well done. Everyone at the front desk spoke English. Don't know how convenient transportation would be into downtown Barcelona. We stayed at the AC Som for just over a week in October 2010 and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very modern and stylish, and our room was very comfortable and clean. One great feature of the room was the free minibar which was restocked for us every day with soft drinks and bottles of water. We found all the staff very helpful and friendly. The […] hotel itself is located just outside of the city centre and we found it a bit too far to walk in everyday. However, you can get an FGC train from just across the road which will take you to Espanya Station (two stops - takes about 4 mins) where you can then get on the metro. The FGC station nearest to the hotel is Ildefons Cerda, and on exit from this station you can see the hotel, so it really is pretty close! You don't need to buy a separate ticket for this FGC journey either, one ticket allows you to transfer once between the FGC and Metro lines. A good way to travel around the city is with the T-10 ticket which gives you 10 single journeys for around 8 euros, one of these tended to last us about 2 or 3 days (two people can use the same ticket). The hotel is also right next to a shopping centre called Gran Via 2, which has restaurants and cafes. Good for cheap breakfasts if you don't have breakfast included at the hotel (like us!) Mehr

This hotel was very nice and very accomodating. The front staff all spoke English very well and I might add....the men were pleasing to the eye. ;) I would definitely stay there again, however the location is in a sketchy area even though the hotel is very modernized. The rates were very fair.

We stayed here 4 days after our cruise. The hotel was quite nice, rooms were pretty spacious. It is near a mall which is good, the metro is less than a couple of blocks away so good transportation. Alex at the front desk was extremely helpful and he was always pleasant. Breakfast buffet too high, so it was easier to eat at a cafe at the mall for breakfast. […] I would stay here again. Over all experience was great! :) A little far from the bus and train stations, but with a tourist metro pass you can get anywhere fairly easy.

Great hotel next to train staion with quick tranfer to Barcelona metro. Quiet area with shopping mall with grocery store across the street. In room frig and nice lobby with free wi-fi.

The hotel was great. Clean, friendly and comfortable. If you're looking to be close to the beaches and Ramblas this may not be the hotel for you though. I do recommend getting direction to the red line metro. Its a little further walk , but much more convenient.

Hotel AC Som was lovely, we had trouble finding it at first, but we knew it was close to the shopping centre so we stayed nearby. We hadn't realised how close, it's literally across the road. This was really convenient for getting breakfast before we headed into Barcelona and for buying the essentials like toothpaste and deodorant on our first day. […] There was also a pharmacy very close by, which was good because we needed to buy painkillers, which they don't sell in other shops in Spain. Along the road that the hotel is on there are also a couple of cafes and a bar, as well as a small greengrocer. The room itself was very nice, with everything you'd expect in a modern hotel. The bathroom was massive and really nicely done (marble, I think), and the double bed was two singles pushed together but you couldn't tell. The minibar was free, which is definitely worth noting since we spent most of our money on drinks while we were out. The hotel was a great price and I'm really glad we picked it. I'd heard there was a building site next door to the hotel, and our room did face it, but it wasn't loud at all and the workers didn't start early enough to wake us up (I think the earliest I heard them was around 9.30). The hotel was about 15 - 20mins walk from a metro station, but once there everything was easy to get to. The area feels nice and safe, and we felt free to wander around. Mehr

I was impressed with the room and the building in general. Being in a mainly middle class residential neighborhood was a plus. I found several local restaurants and snack shops that were convenient and friendly.

It was the best hotel in the 8 we stayed in during our euro trip/ very good value for money. Very contemporary room decor.usually you get such a room in trice the price. loved it. just not very close to anything much so u have to take the train which is 5 minutes away .
