Herrliches Hotel mit großen Zimmern, Balkon mit Blick auf den Jachthafen oder die Bay , Kühlschrank und warmen Frühstück in fantastischer Umgebung auf Shelter Island . Waren hier bereits zum 3. Mal. Parken derzeit nur $ 5 . Sehr freundliches Personal .

Das Hotel liegt günstig zu Old Town San Diego. Es benötigt mal eine Renovierung. Eine Lobby, in der man sich einmal hinsetzen kann, ist nicht vorhanden. Der Empfang ist aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfehlenswert nur für Leute, die sich mit einem sehr einfachen Hotel begnügen u nd nicht viel Geld ausgeben wollen.
Lage
Best Western Mission Bay liegt in Flughafennähe in San Diego (Beach Cities) sowie in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Universität von San Diego, SeaWorld und Old Town San Diego State Park.
Ausstattung
Best Western Mission Bay stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Außenpool, Whirlpool und Fitnessmöglichkeiten. Ein kostenloser Highspeed-Internetzugang (W-LAN und Kabel) steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Dieses Hotel stellt Geschäftsreisenden Folgendes zur Verfügung: Businesscenter (rund um die Uhr geöffnet) und Konferenzraum. Jeden Morgen wird den Gästen ein kostenloses Frühstück serviert. Bei warmem Wetter sind die Strände von Mission Beach und Pacific Beach, zwei der beliebtesten Strände in San Diego, sehr gut besucht. An diesen entspannten Orten finden gelegentlich Bauernmärkte und Kunstfestivals statt. Der Mission Boulevard verbindet beide Strände und führt im Norden nach La Jolla.

Das Motel liegt nahe dem Freeway und doch hatte man keine großartige Lärmbelästigung.Wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, erreicht man alle gewünschten Ziele problemlos und rasch. Überraschend gutes Frühstück, nettes und freundliches Personal, es war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit.
"Fine"
For the price, this was fine. It's nothing fancy but it got the job done. About 10 minutes north of downtown. Right across the freeway from Mission Park, although you can't reasonably walk there. A little loud some nights (wedding season) but they quieted down pretty quickly. Overall it was fine.

"Nice for the price"
I chose this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend. I wanted something reasonably priced and in a convenient location. I got both with this hotel. The rooms were clean and well-appointed with a mini fridge and microwave. The only complaint I have about the room is that this is more a motel than hotel; all rooms have exterior entrances and the […] doors had larger gaps around the frames which made it quite noisy at night and in the morning hours. The hotel staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were kept clean daily. There was always parking at night. The free Wifi in the rooms, and free daily hot breakfast was always a plus considering the price. The hotel location was close to Sea World and walking distance to Mission Bay Beach. Went to San Diego for a weekend. The hotel was easy to get to. Lots of FREE parking and near the I-5 made it convenient for getting around. Room and staff were nice.

Very close to the seaworld,mcdonald,carls jr,hometown buffet and the room is very nice and clean,the front desk are nice and courteos,you can hear a little bit noice from the other room but its ok their kids playing around the room. My kids love to come back and my husband like it too. Breakfast is so good. Highly recommended for family.

Our family went to Lego land, Sea World and the Zoo. Hotel is located right off the highway, but noise is not a problem. Love that you can stay on the first floor and park right in front of your door!! "Best Western Mission Bay"
This Best Western was close to everything we went to do in San Diego. We were on the 1st floor and it was quite and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk people were very nice. I needed to have some copies made and they were happy to do it for me. I would recommend this Hotel to others for a short stay. We had a nice experiance at this hotel. It was amazing and the room was better then what we expected, comfortable and clean. Location was perfect and the continental breakfast was delicious and the dining area was clean and nice to sit in with others and the hotel offers internet and printers and WiFi in the rooms so yes, i would definitly recommend this to everyone and the price was awesome […] too! :-) We'll be back this summer with our kids! "Excellent Value"
The hotel was great for our one week stay. Beds were comfy. Continental breakfast had a decent selection, and they were good at restocking. Cable TV had lots of channels. Literally 2 minutes from the I-5 which made it easy for us to go where we wanted (might be a bit more difficult if you don't have a car). Heater/air conditioner worked well. There […] was even a computer and printer in the breakfast room you could use free of charge. My only major complaint is that it took a few minutes for hot water to reach the shower. "Basic room for the nite"
Needed a quick overnight stay in the area and this was fine. Basic room ,flat screen TV .Small bath room . All clean. Economically priced place to put your head for the night.
our stay was quite comfortable and we enjoyed to variety served at breakfast. The hot tub and heated pool provided a pleasant end ot long days in conference. Would definately consider another stay.
"Worst hotel service I've ever experienced"
We booked one night at this hotel because we live two hours away and wanted a place to spend the night after a friend's birthday party. We checked into our room and met a room that had dirty, unmade beds, trash in the trash cans, dirty towels...it looked just as the last person had left it. I thought, no big deal, they must have just overlooked it. […] So I told the desk person and he apologized and said he'd take care of it by the time we got back from dinner. We got back from dinner and not much had changed: one trash can was emptied and one bed was made (not sure if the sheets were even changed). I again went to the front desk and he apologized and said he'd have it taken care of. We got back from the party around 2 am and lo and behold, the room was STILL not clean. Also, the room next door had a barking dog with no owner to be found. By that point, I was seething. The hotel staff told us there was no housecleaning staff on so no one could clean the room. Only after I threw a fit did he give us another room (with a broken lock). Hotels.com took care of us and refunded the room charge, but that was the worst hotel service I've ever experienced. Mehr

"Decent Hotel"
This hotel had a good location right off the freeway. Within 10 to 15 min from downtown and surrounding areas. Room was clean. Had nice hot, free breakfast and free parking. There was free wifi but connection was horrible. Wasn't in the best neighborhood a little run down. The hot tub and pool were in middle of parking lot which was weird and not very […] relaxing but overall the hotel was fine. Nothing special but perfect for just a quick place to stay. Mehr

The heater was out of service when I checked in, and the room was freezing. I checked in early in the morning and the clerk let me in.However, after an hour or so his shift was over and a lady took over. She notified me of the " early check in charge" which the other guy didn't tell me about it. she gave a hard time by telling that she would charge […] me according to the hotel's regulation even though the other clerk did not mention that to me. My wife participates in 3 Day, 60 mile walk to fight breast cancer. This is very nice motel at the mid price range and the 3rd night free was a definite plus. We already made our reservation for next year.

Do not let other reviews fool you. My family has stayed at places from Motel 6 to the Hyatt and this Best Western was a smashing deal. It was very clean, no smoke smelling rooms, staff was helpful, the continental breakfast was definitely more than we expected, and super close to Sea World, no more than 10 minutes from Seaport Village. Free parking, […] free breakfast, got a great deal on the rooms rate!! We couldn't have been more suprised/pleased at this hotel. This may be our new inexpensive choice when we come to San Diego. We stayed there with 2 parents, 1 toddler, 2 grandparents and 3 great grandparents and all of us had a great and comfortable stay. It was definitely the higher grade of Best Westerns. I would never stay there again. The neighborhood is not good and the hotel is not representative of the other Best Western (regular motel or Plus) where we have stayed.

"Ok for the price"
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The Breakfast bar was good and had plenty of room. The rooms were ok, the toilets tub had a slow drainage problem. Once I also saw a cockroach in the toilet, that was the only creepy part. I didnt see any cockroaches in the room.

"Nice place, not too much locally"
Decent hotel. Nice views nearby, and prime position near Mission Bay right off the 5. Some of the fixtures are a little old, but the price is right. Staff was nice. Unusually packed mid-week, but the sound protection must be good since I never heard any neighbor noise. 2 complaints though: 1. Surrounding neighborhood doesn't have too much in the way […] of interesting food selection (McDonalds, Carls Jr, Hometown Buffet, a Chinese buffet place, a pizza place, and a taco stand). 2. My room had this weird selectable-toilet-seat toilet that was WAY too short. If you are over 130 lbs, good luck having a comfortable seat on that thing. If not for the toilets, I would probably stay more often. Mehr

"B W Mission Bay.. economical but short on comfort."
Good location, close to Sea World and the freeway. Fair prices as well. Unfortunately, the hotel was being repainted when we arrived, which was never disclosed by the reps. There was wet paint everywhere the parking lot was closed, so we parked in an adjacent lot and walked over with our luggage. The painters ran a gas-powered pressure washer outside […] of our window for over an hour while they hosed down the parking lot. Shortly after we arrived we realized the television didn't work, so maintenance moved us to another room. We were awakened by the painters starting work again at 8:30 Friday morning. Saturday morning we were awakened at 8 am by a wake up call from the front desk that we didn't ask for. The pool and spa are small and situated on a patio between parking lots. All in all we had a good time in San Diego. The hotel is less than a block from the freeway, close to gas station, pharmacy etc. The room was clean, the front desk staff and maintenance man were friendly. It's a budget hotel, and you get what you pay for. Still we have stayed at other low-priced places and been more comfortable. We would not stay here again. Mehr

The desk clerk at checkin was very rude and un accomidating. The room was old and could use an update. There were not any smoking rooms avalible if there were our room is what I would expect. We had a great time in Mission Bay.

Only downside is the location as it is in a mainly residential area on a hill with a freeway nearby so unless you have a car or lots of money for a taxi then it is hard to get anywhere as it is too far to walk and there are no bus stops […] nearby. This hotel is close driving distance to everything but is not walking distance to anything except a nice park on the other side of the I5 it was a loud hotel especially at night and the wifi signal was very weak it was brutal actually. "Best Western Mission Bay - No Frills"
My family and I stayed here for two days while we visited the zoo and Sea World. The hotel is the bare bones "value" option in the area. It is very close to the freeway and few minutes drive to Sea World. The hotel itself is not well maintained or operated. Sheets are ill fitting, towels are old and our room had ants. Rooms were not ready on check-in […] and we did have to wait. Breakfast is provided but the dining room is tiny and there was a line out the door on our first morning. Tables are unstable and chairs are dirty. On our second morning we waited to avoid the rush and there was no milk for cereal or coffee. Mehr

I just moved away from San Diego last year and was visiting for a friend's wedding. This Best Western is very conveniently located for what I needed it for. It wasn't anything great, but rooms were fine, staff friendly, and there is free wi-fi. The breakfast room is a little cramped, but I just got morning coffee to go. Other people staying there seemed […] to like the pool, even though the beach is within walking distance. If you stay, I definitely recommend NY Giant pizza around the corner...
