Das Hotel ist sehr alt und man sieht es ihm auch an. Allerdings sind die Zimmer sauber, das Personal freundlich, der Preis für Amsterdam sehr günstig und die Lage einfach perfekt! Wir waren nur für eine Nacht da aber ich würde es wieder buchen. Auch für länger.

das Zimmer war ein bisschen runter gekommen, also definitiv nichts für ein romantisches Wochende mit der Liebsten! Im grossen und ganzen für Amsterdam in der Lage war Preis-Leistung ok. Die Lage ist super, sehr zentral, es lässt sich alles zu Fuss machen. insofern kann ich kann ich das Hotel aufgrund der Lage und Preis/Leistung empfehlen.

Im Großen und Ganzen war das Hotel ordentlich, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Zentrale Lage aber sehr laut. Gut geignet für Nachtschwärmer. Zu teuer.

Die Lage ist okay. Jedoch ist der Zustand der Zimmer, der Geruch, etc. nichteinmal drei Sterne würdig.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit sehr guter Innenstadtlage bei mäßigem Zimmer-/ und Hotelkomfort. Die Einrichtung ist aus den 70-iger Jahren und weist entsprechende Gebrauchsspuren auf.

The Hotel is located perfectly in the Heart of Amsterdam's Red Light, Bar and Entertainment District. It is very modern and clean. However, if you look for a quiet place to go sleep before midnight this Hotel is nothing for you...

Zugang zu unserem Zimmer über 5 Treppen im "Bauzustand" mit eine Folie bedeckt, unser Zimmer war sehr klein, dunkel ( schwache, sparsame Zimmerbeleuchtung), abends breitete sich das unangenehme Kloakengeruch im Zimmer aus

Die auf Ihrer Seite gezeigten Bilder des Hotels entsprachen nicht dem tatsächlichen Zustand. Am Schreibtisch gab es keine Lampe, schreiben war einfach nicht möglich, die Deckenbeleuchtung nur eine Energiesparlampe und nicht ausreichend. Die Möblierierung etwas schäbig und abgenutzt. Ansonsten punktet einfach die zentrale Lage.

Hotel: War sauber und anständig. Die Reception war eher unfreundlich. Nur die Nachtwächter waren wirklich hilfsbereit und offen. Zimmer: Keine Minibar und die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht und wurde auch nicht repariert, obwohl wir es sofort gesagt hatten. Ansonsten grosse Zimmer de Rest ist vollkommen in Ordnung, kein Balkon, Tv vorhanden, Bad schön […] gross, Zimmer auch schön gross und wichtig es hatte einen Safe! Lage: Perfekte Lage, alles sehenswerte zu Fuss erreichbar. Restaurants, Imbissbuden (wok to walk ist zu empfehlen), Rotlichtviertel, Coffeeshops, einkaufsmöglichkeiten, 1 club (der rest ist etwas weiter weg) und alles andere ist in ca. 5min. Entfernung zu finden! Fazit: Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen, da die Lage Top ist und die Sauberkeit auch gut. Mehr

Zero points! The worst hotel in Amsterdam for a fortune! Never ever again! Very stinky, old, small, uncomft., Loud etc I've never seen worse than this all over Europe and North Africa!!

location is really key! between dam square and central station. we got a room with some street noise but it was not so bad

Great hotel close to city center and easy walking distance to all the sights! Very eclectic design, with nice lobby. Rooms were quite outdated, but were very clean and quiet. Desk service was exceptional - many thanks to them for their help during our stay!

This hotel looks like it hasn't been updated in years. The carpets were stained and dirty. The light fixture in our room was missing, and just bare bulbs were exposed. Our room looked out over a filthy alley way. The only nice things to say about this hotel was that the bathroom was clean and that it was within walking distance of Central Station.

I would stay there again. Nicest hotel I have stayed in by far in Amsterdam. Staff are lovely and hotel is clean and location is great.

a short distance from the central rail station, on the edge of busy neighborhood, some rooms not very well sound proofed. clean bathroom attached to the room. good facilities and great staff, particularly front desk person named patrick, who gave me a good and spacious room.

I stayed at the hotel as a business traveller, but it is better suited for the leisure market. Especially travellers on a budget. The hotel is good value for money, but expect really small rooms, old furniture and mediocre service. The location is excellent, though.

Good location, friendly service, clean room,comfortable bed however very dated with rough paintwork.

We stayed at the Tulip mainly because it was reasonably priced and had a good location both of which proved to be spot on. The price was spot on for the comfort of the room and the hotel facilities. It was very easy to find upon arriving by train from the airport. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby and plenty of tram stops and metro should you want […] to go anywhere further afield. My room was quite narrow and the two single beds were places end to end but this was not a problem. The room was very comfortable and clean. Had a TV, wardrobe and very nice bathroom. Some might say the bathroom would be small but it was clean, the shower was excellent and had all you needed in there. I did notice our room overlooked an Irish bar which i thought might cause some noise late at night but proved not to be the case. If you are on a budget and not planning and want to be close to the action then this is ideal. Mehr

To be honest, my main concern when booking this hotel was to be close to the center. However, not being interested in the "dark" side of Amsterdam, I was a bit weary of the possible noise/area. The room (210) was spacious, clean and quiet, with all the basic needs covered (tea making facility, shower gel & shampoo in bathroom, minifridge, etc..). About 2 blocks away from the train station, with plenty of places to visit and to eat out. (highlyrecommend Wok to Walk, 1 block away: excellent food and prices). The location is undoubtedly the best. We went there for the weekend. We took the superior room which is quite a decent size. But the bed was not very comfy. It felt like we were sleeping on a sponge. Although we didn't really feel like much because we were too tired from walking and visiting coffee shops :) We also requested an early check in but when […] we went there, they said there is nothing on the notes and won't do anything about it. Hotel is in a central location. Reception is fine, room are very basic to say the least. Overall it is a very tired hotel.

Upon arrival at around 11.30am I was given the keycard to my room. Went to the room tired from having had a 3.30am start to my day. Unpacked my case, then went to go to the bathroom to take a shower. The towels were all on the floor wet and the toilet was disgusting. Then started to pay more attention to the rest of the room, to find the bed had actually […] not been made, there were still coffee cups around the room. Clearly the room had not been prepared, so a mistake by reception MAYBE, but day 2 they tried to come in at 8.30 am and clean, when we had only been in the room for 20 minutes from a night a club, We were naked on the bed and the cleaner just walked in seemingly oblivious to the fact there were very active and naked people in the room. Ridiculous organisational skills in this hotel, 8.30am trying to clean the room after the previous day not having been cleaned even at 3pm. Won't recommend and won't stay again. Mehr

The hotel was clean, rooms small but comfortable bed and very good shower / towels You are right on the edge of the red light district but the noise isn't too bad The general hotel condition is dated but acceptable

Only gets this ratint because of the low price and kettle being present. Due to my room being at the backside of the hotel, it was only quiet outside between 0200 and 0700. If you have to work that's not optimal. Front desk did not ask me, just gave me a room. Hard foam matress, airco not working, had to open window for fresh air, even though outside […] temp. was below 10 degrees. ground floor hallway carpet almost covered with chewing gum. bathtub was placed wrong way around in combination with showerhead. had to stand on inclined backrest. crumbled and broken tiles and plaster. tv worked well, although signal-strength was so-so. Upon arrival, I found other people in the room - was assigned a new one, but really... Thick fog of pot in the 'non-smoking hotel', noisy, cramped rooms, many things in disrepair. Paid four star price for this. Guess it was extra expensive because of New Year's, but would not even consider paying half of this amount for what I got.

First room they gave me had been a closet. Filthy, tiny, and terrible odor. Second room was in the basement. Also unacceptable. I agreed to pay more money for a better room, and clerk said he would give me a better room for 10 euro. Charged me 20 euro instead. Gave me credit (I hope) after I complained. I did not have any unpleasant surprises. The room was clean the location is great and the price is very comptitive.

If you're going to Amsterdam to Party, this is a great location in the middle of the Niuewe Zidjs (new side) of the old Centrum, walking distance from a bunch of attractions as well as the Centraal railway station. Parts of the hotel are in old beje's (traditional 16th century Amsterdam houses) with a warren of random stairways and this adds to its […] charm. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A+++ Mehr

I was there 4 Days ago, I really have to say it`s a good Hotel. Okay it has a little smell at the frontdesk, but that`s not heavy! The Rooms where very clean and there nothing stinks, the flat TV is also good. It`s a little bit a hotel for younger people, because it`s really in the Center of the Red Light District. Coffe-Shops are also everywhere […] around the Hotel, if somebody is searching for this, then you will have a reeeealy good stay ;) For me it was a good hotel for this Price! 2 Minutes walking to the shopping streets and 30 Seconds to the Red Light District. Something about the Parking Place, the Hotel also have a Parking Service. It costs 30 Euro for a Day. This was not the Problem, BUT they drive my Car! So for everybody like me, that will not give his Baby in other Hands use the Park and Ride at the Olympic Stadium. Every navigation System will find this. It`s about 10-15 Minutes from the Hotel. It`s also cheaper, it costs just 8 Euro a Day and you receive from 1-5 tickets for the Tram/Train to go back to your Hotel and also to come back from the Hotel to your Car. Have Fun! Best Regards! The hotel was clean and the staff very polite and accommodating. Request a higher floor as the neighborhood was very noisy and they seemed to stay out all night.

Great location if you want to be in the central area. Room was small, clean but very noisy as it was facing the party street.

I recomend this hotel for others. ist a kleen nice and quite hotel. And its on a great location. the brakfest ther is very good. lots to choose between. And the staff is very polite and helpfull. ill be staying ther for my nesxt visit. thnaks!

Very convenient to Central Station - no need for public transport or taxis. Bed + room simple but very comfortable. Clean & plenty of hot water. Simple but adequate breakfast. Good staff - kind and helpful

I had a single room, as its only a 3 star hotel you get what you pay for which was very reasonable for Amsterdam. The mattress were new and very comfortable, The rooms are smallish but you have all you need in it even tea facilities which I was pleased about. Need ear plugs at night if you are a light sleeper as I would think in the summer it could […] be quite noisey, but I had 3 good nights sleep. Room 205 is the best side as there is a church bell that goes off on the other side and very noisey, unfortunately no double glazing, I would think in the summer it would be hot as there is no air conditioning. Ok, the hotel was in a good location, but the street behind was all coffee shops, a bit seedy. The first room we got No 29 on the ground floor was terrible. It should not be used, odd bits of furniture, next to lift and stairs and on the street by the coffee shops. Asked to get another room next morning and the reception asked the room no. and then […] said about the noise, so it is obvious that they know this is not a good room. The next room on the 1st floor was better but was in need of a freshing up. The rooms look nothing like the website. Rather shabby corridors and looking dated. Spent two nights in a 3 star in Basel, Switzerland and this hotel in Amsterdam was not 3 star. Mehr
