Fort Lauderdale Beach Palace Hotel and Suites - Fort Lauderdale

Upon arrival we noticed that our bathroom (toilet and shower) were not cleaned. The mirrors had hand and finger prints all over it. Every day our sheets werenot changed out or even made neatly. They didn't even vacuum the floors. The bathroom in the lobby was very dirty. We requested a non-smoking room and it was however, our bedspread had burn holes […] all over it and we found an ash tray in the closet. We were supposed to be in walking distance to the beach but discovered we had to drive about 4 miles to get to the beach. We were very dissatisfied with the hotel and will never book a hotel online again!! Mehr

This was our first hotel of our 9 day vacation and thankfully the worst. The receptionist got very snooty and rude with us when we tried to check in 45 min. earlier than their 3pm check-in time. When we came back at 4pm, we quickly checked in, but hotel parking is VERY limited and we had to park a distance away from the hotel. When we entered our room, […] we noticed the worn carpet immediately. We went to our balconey door and seen where the metal frame had been jimmied as someone had apparently broken in through the door before. The staff had rigged a makeshift lock to secure the door. The only nice thing about the hotel was that it is across the street from a CVS or Walgreens where we purchased needed supplies. There is also a bar located in the same building that has patio seating and the party went on into the evening. The shower did not drain properly and by the time the last child showered, he was standing in a foot of water. The continental breakfast the next morning consisted of some stale doughnuts and warm milk. A little effort and this could be a nice place. Mehr

The hotel was in disrepair, but the location was great. The door to our balcony didn't close so it was very loud all night. the window in the bathroom doesn't open. the in room safe didn't work. The only saving grace is that the walk to the beach was short and the beach was great.

all the staff was polite except for the young lady working that morning . the breakfast should not even been listed, ( should say free coffee) but there is a McDonalds across the street. another plus is the bus stop is on the same corner as the hotel. had drinks at the hotel bar, and even had lunch there, decent hamburger. not for a romantic get away […] but good for a get away. Free Parking a plus, and the desk clerk did call a taxi for me. I tookk the cover off the a/c to inspect and the unit do need cleaning . I would stay again Mehr

It was ok! just a few things, Customer Service at the front desk, BAD! they need people with better skills. The room was OK, just the curtain look like a rat bite them! There was not a close entrance to the beach, we had to walk a lot and to come back we had to go through one of the hotels lobby. Points : 2 of 5

a lot of creepy people stayimg in and around hotel but it wasnt expensive and close to everything.

This is not for a family.Solicited both days during our stay-one day twice. The Hotel did nothing to fix drainage problem in tub or light bulb replacement within room. Remodeled room looks like it was done by someone off the street. Rooms had a very strange odor. Music from bar area was heard in our 3rd floor room till 3am. Elevator broke the 2nd d […] ay. Mehr

This is not a family oriented facility! Security is non-existent and door keys are not secure. Had several registered guests to walk in us allegedly by mistake using pass keys. Had to sleep in a chair blocking the door while my family tried to rest. The online advertisement is misleading as well stating that it is a beachfront resort and it is not, […] it is separated by a busy freeway with no crossway. The view from your balcony window is a CVS Pharmacy on the front of the hotel and on the back of the hotel is a parking lot and over grown retention pond with a foul offensive odor! Mehr

This hotel needs a complete remodel and staff replacement. The staff was not very friendly and the day shift person's english was hard to understand and they did not understand my questions. They advertise that they have a delux continental breakfast. what a joke. It consisted of hostess doughnuts, frozen pancakes you put in a toaster and corn flakes, […] a jug on milk on ice and a pot of coffee. The hotel is close to the beach but you can not get to it because of all of the condos. You have to walk about a half mile to get access. Would not recommend this place to no one. Mehr

Hotel location not as advertized (across the street from beach) Was charged more than our original agreed price (but hotel.com has paid me the difference) "continental breakfast" was lacking: nothing like I am used to at other 2-3 star hotels.

Its a okay hotel in a good location. the two women who work the front desk are impossible to deal with, if you want any proper service or anything done in general you need to ask the assistant manager whose a guy. mini fridge was dirty, big spit in the cups and ice buckets. curtains were ripped and we didnt get the room we paid for.

The room was very clean, I loved the balcony. Although the hotel is a bit old and run down, they strive to keep the rooms clean and the sheets fresh and clean. Being a smoker, I loved that they had a smoking room available. Probably seen better days, since the room is a bit run down, but for the price, location and room size, I would go back.

this is one of the best experience with friendly service and very close to different beaches. we had best experience

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever been in. Everything in the rooms were outdated, the linen was lierally dirty, there were holes in the curtains. We were in a room with an adjoining door that looked like it had been previously kicked in. Not secure at all so we took a chair and wedged it against the door to feel some since of safety. This hotel […] should not even have a star rating. We arrived at 1AM and were out of that hell hole at 7AM. We could barely sleep due to the terrible conditions. When we went to check out, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude when I complained about my stay. I would not recommend this place to a homeless person if it were free! Mehr

The breakfast IS NOT CONTINENTAL. Coffee, toasts, butter and jellys. And that´s it.

the hotel is good if you are on a budget. The roon was clean, the beds were clean. Breafast is not fancy,just some pastries, toast and coffee. It is a big walking distance to the beach,but it's doable.

IRoom was not cleaned well. Bed / mattress was very old and had a wide u shape. Need to be replaced. Front desk staff not friendly or welcoming Didn' feel safe in there No alarm clock in room Breakfast room was dirty and tacky looking. Very dull Breakfast was horrible.

Worst Place I've ever been! Dirty! Loud! Windows and doors don't Close properly! Curtains damaged! Rooms not as nice as clean as shown un the internet! Internet gives a totally different Impression of holidays and not As subscriben family friendly!

On arrival had to park two lots away since hotel parking lot was full of bar hoppers. Refrigerator did not work so they gave me another from a different room. Balcony had no furniture so you could not sit outside. Balcony faced A1A so was very noisy all day long. No view. Was across the street from the beach but high rise condos were in the way so you […] could only see a bit of the ocean IF you were on the top floor. No access to the beach unless you drove to the state park about a mile away. Must be a nice bar downstairs because it was packed day and night. Ice machine did not work. Absolutely no cooking utensils. Take your own. When I arrived, they took my confirmation papers and never gave them back, so I had no record of my stay. Claimed they lost the papers. Hotels.com promised to send me another copy by e-mail, but never did. Mehr

nothing working, no water in the room for several hours. Remote control not working, beds very bad, not queen like you said, carpet dirty,no ice and water to drink

I was awoke at 3 am with someone opening my door using a key, that hotel says is impossible. Fortunately, chain was on door and person could not enter.Called front desk, they said it couldn't happen. ten minutes later, they called saying someone thought they were on a different floor. either way, they opened my door. VERY VERY unahppy, and management […] could not care less. They do not even deserve a 1 rating. Hotels.Com came through. Thank you Mehr

This hotel said near the beach, but I had to walk to 45 mins to beach shore, some restaurant close by hotel, no space parking

Beds were clean but everything else was dirty, dirty carpet, disgusting bathroom. Would not stay there again.

This place is a dump and nothing is as advertised. One of my largest disappointments for a hotel stay and the staff seemed to know it and not care. No parking available, building is run down and what they servce for a continental breakfast is a joke. There was no ice anywhere in the building.

It basically was a place to spend a night. After we had checked in, a guy on the elevator asked how long we were staying. We said one night. He said good-had a cockroach run across his chest while sleeping. Rooms look as if not painted since hotel was built and walls are dirty. Smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Carpets old and needed cleaning. No mattress […] pads on beds, and bedspreads had threads hanging. Breakfast was some donuts, cold cereal and coffee with pancakes to pop in a toaster. I know this is season, but at least they could have updated the rooms to justify the price. Mehr

The Hotel is located 2 block front the beach, but the access to the beach was not as expected, in the front of the hotel you can't find an access, it is restricted by private building, the near access is 4 block away, no parking at area beach, you need to find park-meter. The pool was small but good, clean, the rate for the Hotel was not comparable […] with the condition, 3 person registered and they put only 2 towels, house keeping leave the door open one day after the clean up. the stay was good, but there was a person at the hotel at 1:00am in the morning that did not belong there and when i called the staff to inform that he was walking around the car and being suspicious the staff informed me he couldn't do anything until the guy did something wrong. It was scary

The room smelled horrible like old fridge being closed when unplugged but it was clean. The elevator is very old, didn't work on one day for couple of hours. The breakfast was not worth waking up for. It was only donuts, muffins and coffee.

If you are the kind of person who expects five star hotel for your bargain basement rate, nothing I say will make you happy with any location, let alone this one. But if you are realistic about getting what you pay for, I don't think you will be disappointed with this 3 story motel. If you can get past the gawd awful color of the building, this hotel […] is a great value. It is in a convenient location, has a pool side bar, and a restaurant. It is an older building but the room is as good as any motel I have paid more for. The staff that I dealt with was friendly and polite. The only problem I had was resolved with little ado. I had wanted to use the inroom safe, but it was not working. When the desk clerk also could not get the safe to work, she switched me to a new room with no problem. Also, an added surprise, when I asked about wireless internet connection for my computer I was told it was only available in the lunch room adjoining the lobby. However, when I opened the computer up in my room, the wireless connection was available- an added plus. I will definitely try to book here again next time I head to Ft Lauderdale. Mehr

We stayed here 4th of July weekend. We had an excellent time and the rooms were large enough for four to six people. The balcony was the best because we would wake up to the Beautiful View of the Ocean. The bar was great and the prices for food were very reasonable. This hotel is located in great part of Fort Lauderdale shops and restaurants were all […] walking distance. The room was great for the price and the staff on call was very helpful. I booked this room last minute for 4th of July weekend. I was very surprised at the room for the price. It was clean and it had a great view of the beach with a private balcony. If your on vacation and want a cheap, clean, room; I recommend it. I would stay here again. You can't beat the price and there is a lot to do within a few blocks.

El hotel necesita mantenimiento, la puerta ni abria ni cerraba bien, las instalaciones son viejas, pero lo peor es que todos los dias matabamos entre 3 y 4 cucarachitas. Las dejabamos a la vista para que las vieran al limpiar la habitacion pero nunca nos dijeron nada al respecto. No volveria y no lo recomiendo.

Excelente localização, em frente a praia. Muito simples, bom para quem quer só de dormitório. Wireless funciona muito bem nos quartos.

Basis hotell med hyfsat rent rum. Bra internet och gratis parkering. Restaurang nedanför som var ganska högljudd, både av musik och av pratande gäster till sent på natten (nota bene dock att det var nyår dagen efter så det bar säkert mer folk än vanligt). Usel frukost, fanns knappt bröd, inget pålägg, inget annat mer än donuts. Den var inte värd namnet... […] Effektiv och trevlig personal. Mehr

No esta malo para el precio,pero necesita mantenimiento,las escaleras estaban oscuras y la bañadera se llenaba de agua,cuando te duchabas,esta cerca de la playa,pero no tiene acceso a ella,a no ser en carro,pero a poca distancia,el desayuno demaciado pobre y el lugar poco agradable.la luz del barcon tambien estaba fundida,en fin que les recomiendo un […] poco de esfuerzo y dedicacion y seria algo mas agradable la estancia. Hotellet var decideret klamt. De lå muselort i badeværelset og i gulvtæpperne var der afklippede tånegle. Gulvtæppet var sort og helt stift. Har sikkert ikke været rengjort de seneste 10 år. Dørlåsen til hotelværelset virkede ikke ved ankomst.

Nos asignaron una habitacion ocupada, al no poder abrirla se dieron cuenta y nos asignaron otra. El desayuno desastrozo, tuvimos que reclamar varias veces para que colocaran cafe y pan. Preferible indicar estancia sin desayuno. Huele a humedad en todas partes. Nadie habla español. NO DAN RECIBO, no sabes si cargaron gastos a tu tarjeta o no.
