Suburban Extended Stay - Lakeland

I was in town to do some radio work in Lakeland. The check-in was effortless and smooth. The rooms however are small and cramped. They have an extensive collection of channels on the TV. Overall, the hotel was pretty good. There is also a bowling alley right across the street if you want to have some fun.

After reading other reviews I was worried, but everything was OK. I just needed a room for one night and it was set up for extended stay. It had a regular (home-type) coffee maker but no coffee, tea, etc. TV was only 19-inch.

Dirty...Dirty...Dirty I changed hotels.

When we arrived, there was no toilet tissue in the restroom. I called the front desk and they told me I could come to the office to pick some up. The other guests in the hotel were extremely loud.

It is someplace convenient because it's close to everythin but if you are not't pinching your pennies you may stay in another hotel. you save money if you wanna cook because they have a kitchen.

The lobby was unclean. The hotel clerks were not very polite. The room's air conditioner did not function properly. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was dust all on the lampshades and bugs squished in the wall painting. Although I had paid for this room entirely, I went to another hotel.

I did not like that the office closed at 11:00 at night. I had to take I-4 and it took a long time to get there. By the time we got there, the office was closed and we had to open a safe to get our room key. They also do not clean the rooms every day. As a matter of fact, the room was not cleaned the wole 4 days we were there. Wasnt what im used to but it was a desperate time that called for desperate measures...

Came for the Strawberry Fest 10 miles away. Was surprised to get a kitchenette for such a great price. It's older, but clean. It has the best lounge across the street, great food at Lucky's.

All in all, a decent experience. A lot cheaper than anything else in lakeland that weekend (heart of spring break season) that had availability, which was nice. Room was clean but despite being "non-smoking" there were a few cigarette burns in the comforter and the room smelled like smoke. Bed was covered in plastic so it was loud, but at least no […] bed bugs. They accommodated my late check-in with a drop box - much appreciated. Numbering of the rooms hard to figure out since they don't line up from floor to floor (especially late at night). Mehr

Clean, quiet, will stay here again

Room was very "tiny." You could lay in bed and hang up your clothes, turn on the "tube" tv, and adjust the A/c. I have to say that this is the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed. The bed was very hard and each time you moved it squeaked. There was a upholstered chair that was very dirty. The room did have a kitchen, with a 12 cup coffee maker […] but there was no coffee or filters (most hotels provide at least 1 day's worth.) The grill cover on the bathroom fan was covered with dirt/lent that it could not even work correctly. Over all, the property was very run down. The oddest thing that struck me was during the check in process the staff had me sign a release form stating that there would be a $100 charge for anyone "pulling a false alarm." Lol, I asked if this was a big problem for them. I would not recommend this property to families or to anyone who tends to get claustrophobic. I would not book this property again. Mehr

I really liked this hotel. The staff was good, and the place was nice. Conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. The only downside I see, is the lack of the continental breakfast, but for the price, a great value.

It was nice to have a frig, stove and microwave available. This time the room was clean not musty - another time it was musty. We appreciated the cost - lower than most hotels and the kitchenette was a plus.

Nice hotel and was close to the mall and bowling alley. Nice neighborhood and clean rooms. One problem was air conditioning took awhile to cool down. Over all I would stay again but I would bring a fan.

This hotel was a dump

I really enjoyed my stay.. I attended the Acquire the Fire conference which was less than 2 miles form the hotel. They have an elevator to get to your room which was great!.. the staff was really nice and accomodating. The room was clean and convenient with everything I needed since I brought my own food.

Comfortable, worth the price, and will definitely stay again.

Tub filled up wile taking shower...beds were like sleeping on box springs.... Other than that it was ok.. Location not on main road and was a little hard to find

This is obviously NOT a new motel. But it was clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a 12 cup coffee machine, a two burner stove, an apartment size fridge, a toaster and a small microwave. As I said, great value for the money! Be careful if you have a late check in... the office closes at 11:00 pm.

room very small. AC blocked entering bed from one side. lacked hair dryer and hooks in bathroom for more than 1 towel. I liked proximity to sun n' fun. I liked the reception people who provided me with towels and toilet paper. We stayed from 3/26-4/1/11 I like Extended Stay America better.

Very close to various stores (like Target) and a lot of different places to eat. A little farther than I would of like from the Lakeland Convention Center but the drive wasn't bad. Straight down 98 and turn right on Lime so it was simple.

Hotel was clean, check-in very easy,The hotel was full but still very quiet, would stay again.

The rooms were not clean and they did not clean your rooms you had to get towells and sheets from front desk. The mattresses were flat and hard like a dorm room and the shower trickles out on 2nd floor. I am an easy going person and for me to complain it takes alot. I stayed at La Quinta inn, my first nite in florida and it was very clean and was cheaperl […] for the nite compared to Suburban extended stay which cost me more with tax a nite...do not stay at the extended stay..... The room was clean and the staff were helpful. The hotel is located close to I4, the mall, and many resturaunts, stores, and gas stations. I'll stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay, but the room was suprisingly small. We got a king size bed, for myself my husband and our two year old daughter. Once we had the pack&play set up, you could barely walk in the room. That is our only complaint! You can't really askfor more for the price

Saved money by staying in Lakeland instead of Tampa. Hotel was quiet, close to mall and a number of restaurants. I will use again for overnight stays when traveling to Tampa.

Felt like staff could not have cared less whether we stayed or not. I felt like I should have apologized for interrupting a television show being watched.
