1.Electric spark and Air conditioner went off; reported, not relocated to another room but came remove and re-plugged stating " please call us if any problem." Had to stay up all night for safety. 2. No hot water in room second day. Had to leave without taking shower. 3. The remote control to TV not working. Receptionist released the only master remote […] that was working and took it back the following day not caring for rest of stay. All these were reported to front desk but a promise that we will be given discount if next time we book through them and not Hotel.com. Worst Hotel experience ever. Mehr

Hotel staff was very helpful, location was good as we were attending the "Fiery Foods Show" @ the Sandia Casino. Hotel has super thin walls, we were by the elevator which made the sound of a small train. Very annoying. If we were to stay again, I would try and get an end unit top floor.

The staff was very nice. Front desk arranged to have breakfast a little early so that my kids could eat before their games. The TV is "tricky" per the front desk. I had to leave it on all nite because it would not turn off by remote or by button on the side of TV. Too tired to call front desk, arrived late and had to be up early and did not want to […] mess with fixing at midnite. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. Furniture and deco new.....you might want to replace the scratched up bathroom door and the toilet seat that cleaning agents have eaten thru, very much took away from the refurbishing of the unit. We will be back to stay! Have stayed at this same hotel many times. Mehr

the price was great-included a nice breakfast. Nice clean rooms.

Rude front desk staff; unclean rooms; tiny bathrooms; air conditioner did not work; cannot even register for Rewards Points if you book through Hotels.com; luckily only stayed there one night for business!

This hotel was really too far to walk from to get to fiesta park, but it was the closest of all the hotels.

great hotel! the hotel looks just like the photos. it is clean, has comfortable beds and in spite of the location (just off I25) is very quiet. family atmosphere. great breakfast choices. will stay there again.

Clean and exceptionally friendly staff, I felt they bent over backwards to make sure everything was clean and accessible. Don't expect doormen, suits and ties etc, but making one feel comfortable, safe and appreciated as a customer it was superb. Definitely felt we received fair value and thensome.

This hotel is great. The pool and hot tub were very clean and had a pleasant setting. The ladies working the front desk on both shifts were very nice and professional. The room itself was very clean and cozy. The gentleman cooking the breakfast was also very professional. How many other hotels have you stayed in where they ask you if you need anything. […] Awesome. My family and I stayed at the HIE on Alameda for an overnight stop.We had a 2 queen suite with a couch, which made for a very comfortable room. The beds were great and the refrigerator and microwave were handy. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The best part was the guest service. Everyone in group forgot to bring toothpaste so I went to the front […] desk to get some but they were out so the general manager (Stephen) of the hotel went across the street to a convienence store and purchased some for our family. The free breakfast was a real plus when you are traveling with a family. Great Hotel! Mehr

There were 4 of us in the room and only given 3 towels on a daily basis. The TV would not work unless we called maintaince. The staff was very rude. No hot water one day. The worst was the indoor pool. The tile around the pool and hot tub is dangerously slick when wet. My grandson got out of the pool and immediately slipped and fell. I had a 2 room suite but there was no door between the rooms so it's actually one large room with a wall splitting half way down. One TV right smack in the middle that you have to tilt one way or the other. Otherwise a decent room.

Super Clean, very comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent continental breakfast. Courteous staff.

We stayed in this hotel because we were visiting family nearby but it is a great location for both the Balloon Fiesta and Santa Fe. Breakfast was very good - more than expected. There were a few minor glitches but all were handled quickly and professionally. We will probably stay there again.

Only stayed one night. The room was clean. The bathroom is really small. The kind sized bed was somewhat uncomfortable, but it may have just been the pillows.

The hotel was great. The front desk people were courteous, helpful, and friendly. The room was outstanding. We had a 2-bed suite and it was wonderful. Beds were big and comfortable. The sitting area had a great couch, perfect for relaxing. The room was clean and well-stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and mouthwash. The service folks […] working the breakfast area had smiles on their faces as they restocked, cleaned up, and helped the guests. One lady even helped me load up my plate while I was holding my infant daughter. Overall, it just seemed like a higher level of professionalism than you'd get at one of the more budget places. The hotel is right off the highway and very convenient if you need to be near Balloon Fiesta Park. We stayed there after the Fiesta was over because it was really close to the Balloon Museum. If you have a car, it's easy enough to get around, but there's not much else in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express locations for business travel, and I've always been impressed with how well they're run. This was no exception. Mehr

Great hotel. It is the closest hotel to the International Yearly Balloon Fiesta Festival. Rooms are all remodeled, clean, comfortable, nice AC, cable tv, fridge, coffee maker, hair blow dryer, iron with board. Great customer service. Easy to get to and from airport, 20 min drive.

The employees were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The pool area is slightly small but very clean. Our bathroom was very small. The bathroom door would stick on the toilet and you would have to apply more pressure to clear the object. As long as two very small people or one normal sized person is all that need to be in the bathroom at one […] time then this hotel is worth staying at. If you are used to 3 or 4 people getting ready at the same time, you may want to consider a suite or another hotel. I would stay there again. Mehr

Things would have been fine except for the smoke free room we had smelled horribly of smoke. The bathroom was very small, but it was clean. The rest of the hotel was very nice.

Our room was spotless and the staff friendly. The complimentary breakfast provided variety and was very good. The bed was very comfortable. There was easy access to the Balloon Fiesta and local transportation to downtown. We arrived at 1:30pm and our room was ready. We were impressed as it was a busy time for the hotel.

We stay here when we visit family in ALb., and both stays have been pleasant enoguh. Decent breakfast, fair price, excellent beds, very clean and fresh. Only issues were loud children running around the first time, an athletic goup was staying in the hotel. Great location for us, convenient to family on the west side.

This room you could not open the door to the bathroom with out hitting the toilet, it was grinding against the fixture, very hard to open. We were on the 2nd floor and when we departed the elevator was our of service while they replaced the tile around the maintenance door so the could open it.
