Mount Royal Hotel - Banff

Die zentrale Lage ist sehr gut, Komfort ist durchschnittlich aber akzeptabel. Personal ist hilfsbereit. Zimmer sind klein und eng, ohne großen Komfort, für den Preis aber vollkommen in Ordnung. Würde wieder hinfahren.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, sehr zentral zu Restaurants und ideal zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Parkraum ist allerdings beschränkt. Frühstück im angeschlossenen Restaurant ist lediglich Mittelklasse, also besser auswärts frühstücken.

We arrived at the hotel to no parking spots and was told by the front desk to park in a NO PARKING zone as long as we were gone before 10 am. Upon getting up and getting the vehicle at 9 am there was a parking fine on our vehicle. I can not get a call back from any managers and they seem to be always out when I call. I think that this is such horrible […] public relations and for this reason alone will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

i loved it

Not impressed about being lied at booking of room an told it would-be 20 dollers for each dog and had to pay 25. Once booked an at hotel.honesty would have been appreciated

The Mount Royal Hotel was located right on Banff avenue and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was kept clean. The only downside to my stay was the window in the room didn't open and the rooms were very hot and stuffy. I'd stay there again but request a room with a window that opens.

Our room was facing the main avenue. The noise and partiers kept us awake all night. If you are going to stay at this hotel, make sure your room faces the back alley. Also, I did drink one bottle of water and realize after the fact there was a cost. No big deal until after they charged our credit card for two bottles. I would understand if I had drunk […] two bottles, but I only consumed one. Needless to say, we will never go back. Mehr

The hotel is generally fine but the entire place smells like an un-ventilated kitchen which comes from the attached restaurant. If it was not for this terrible smell, I would have recommended the hotel.

Excellent location if you want to be right downtown. We were only a couple minutes walk from a grocery store. Lots of shopping and restaurants right in front of the hotel. No underground parking. The hot tub was a bit over chlorinated. Rooms were clean, up-to-date, and very comfortable. There were no mini-fridge or microwave in the room, which wasn't […] a huge deal.We had a couple of small issues that were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We stayed at the Mount Royal Hotel this past February weekend for 2 nights. The hotel staff were fine, though we didn't interact much beyond our check-in. The rooms are nice in cleanliness and appearance, however the air circulation was awful - extremely dry and very loud! The second night we let the shower run for almost a half hour to ensure there […] was moisture in the air. Perfect location in the heart of banff, easy access to everything! I would certainly stay here again. I wouldn't reccommend it if you're looking for high class, but it's certainly one of the cleaner hotels I've stayed in. Mehr

hotel location is good, it's central, but there's lots of better options for the price. the room window did not open, and the walls are very thin, so it's hard to get a good sleep if you're planning to ski or ride early in the morning. Definitely will pick a different place next time.

The Mount Royal Hotel is a nice place with a great location right on the main street through Banff. There are many shopping stores and places to eat right outside with a nice atmosphere. The hotel was decent, with clean rooms and hot tub and good service. This is not a fancy hotel, but well worth what we paid. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location! walking distance to everything in Banff. Great price, nothing fancey but a great old building!

Right on the main road close to all the wonderful shopping in banff, however the pillows were very uncomfortable.

absoultely outstanding serivce! very clean and comfortable! I will not stay anywhere else but here in banff!

The hotel staff were friendly and efficient the hotel was relatively clean and the stay was great no complaints...

The only thing that was nice about this hotel was the location. if you don't care about noise then this is the perfect stay. Our room walls were paper thin an we could hear everything... and we weren't even facing Banff Avenue.

Mount Royal is located in a great spot in Banff. The room was historic and cute! I love the old building and feel of the hotel. It was great!

Had a lovely stay over Christmas. The hotel is very charming, especially as we stayed in the older part -- reminiscent of more elegant times past. The walls are solid, so we had nights of great sleep without earplugs. It was also lovely being right on the main street downtown -- close to restaurants, shops, Banff Avenue's Christmas decorations, and […] right around the corner from the little Anglican church -- perfect for a late-night Christmas Eve service. The hotel was in an excellent location, but the room was so small and the apparently "Queen-size" bed was smaller than our double at home.

Hotel was amazing, staff were friendly and accommodating for our needs. They kept the hot tub open later for us one night. Location was amazing close to everything and easy to get out of town to the hills. Only thing was the main light in our room didn't' work, we said something and it didn't get fixed but there were plenty of other lights int he room […] so it was no big deal. Would highly recommend this hotel to stay in!!! Mehr

Be sure to ask to have your room in the main area or else you'll be trekking a block with all your gear!

the room was very clean ,the only complaint i have was there wasn't a refrigerator in the room. You would think with the cost of the room there could have and should have been a small refrigerator in the room....

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The fan in the room was loud but could easily be turned off periodically. Close to everything in Banff and good bang for your buck!

I would come again given the price and location. However, I was unhappy about our room location. Near the laundry and ice machine. Super loud and distracting. King sized beds were very comfy.
