Als Vorübernachtung für eine Kreuzfahrt völlig o.K. zumal das Hotel den kostenlosen Busshuttle stellt. Falls man zu Fuß Richtung Las Olaz Blv. geht, sollte man schon darauf achten, wer in der Umgebung rumläuft ( im Dunkeln besser mit dem Taxi fahren), da einige Obdachlose rumhängen.Aber das ist ja in Deutschland auch nicht anders. Frühstück für amerikanische Verhältnisse o. K.

Stilgemäßes Art-Deco-Hotel für einen Aufenthalt mitten drin in Miami Beach. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Lobby. Zwar ist das Personal viel Kommen und Gehen von Gästen gewöhnt, trotzdem noch positive, freundliche Routine.

In dieser Preiskategorie sicher eines der besten Hotels. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal. Einzig negativ ist die Poolanlage. Mobiliar verbraucht und lädt nicht zum planschen ein. Pool ist auch sehr klein. Habe keine Gäste gesehen die sich dort aufgehalten haben. Aber ansonst sehr zu empfehlen da in kurzer entfernung(3min. Fußweg) Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Geschäfte vorhanden. Von 6 Hotels in dieser Preisklasse die wir in Florida besuchtt haben, eindeutig das beste Hotel.

Hervorragende Lage ein Block vom Ocean Drive und dem wunderbaren Strand entfernt. Äußerst freundlicher Service. Die Standardzimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig und nett im Art Deco Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool auf der Dachterrasse. Es werden kostenlos Liegen und Handtücher am Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Gäste die direkt in der Nähe des Art Deco Viertels übernachten möchten.

Das Personal war freundlich, die Zimmer etwas gruselig, aber für ein oder zwei Nächte ok. Die Lage war super. Vor der Tür ist gleich der Strand, in näherer Umgebung befinden sich einige […] Restaurants und es ist nicht allzu weit bis nach MIami (über den Zubringer im Norden), daher auch nicht allzu weit bis zum Highway und Flughafen. "Direkte Strandlage, gute Verkehrsanbindung"
Es ist ein einfaches Hotel und wenn man das Zimmer nur zum Schlafen und Duschen benutzen will ist es ok.Frühstück ist Selbstbedienung und ausreichend. Wir sind 75 und 66 Jahre alt und waren zufrieden. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt. Wenn man Luxus erwartet, muss man auch in ein Luxushotel buchen. Wir würden jederzeit dort wieder buchen.
"Direkt am Strand, das wars aber auch..."
Ich habe im Hawaii Hotel vom 20.09 bis 24.09 übernachtet. Das Hotel gehört zum Ocean Surf Hotel, welches unmittelbar daneben steht. Einchecken muss man also im Ocean Surf. Beim Check In muss man entweder eine Kreditkarte vorlegen oder 100$ in Bar als Kaution vorlegen. Das Zimmer war recht klein und sehr spärlich eingerichtet. Ein Queen Bett, ein Korbsessel […] und ein Kühlschrank, sowie ein kleiner Tisch. Ein Fernseher war auf einem Brett in der Ecke des Zimmers angebracht und eine Klimaanlage hing links über dem Bett an der Wand. Im Flur ein paar Regalbretter und eine Kleiderstange. Bei mehreren Nächten hätte man Probleme gehabt seine Kleidung unterzubringen. Im Zimmer befand sich ein Safe, dieser kostete 2$ pro Tag, egal ob man ihn benutzt hat oder nicht. Auf den ersten Blick war alles recht sauben, aber wie gesagt nur auf den ersten Blick. Das TV Brett war von unten mit Spinnweben besetzt und auch der Bettrahmen war siffig. Das Bettlaken wurde lediglich glattgezogen, wenn man gekleckert hat wurde es nicht ausgetauscht. Das Badezimmer sah recht neu aus, die Dusche war sehr schön, nur die Armaturen waren sehr vergammelt und schimmelig. Es hat auch sehr muffig und schimmelig gestunken im Zimmer wenn man mal die Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet hat. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, man braucht nur über die Strasse zu gehen, allerdings halten sich sehr viele Obdachlose in der Gegend auf. Das Hotel ist ein Nichtraucherhotel, wenn man sich dann mal vorm Hotel eine Zigarette rauchen wollte, wurde man sofort von alles Seiten von den Obdachlosen belagert und angebettelt, nach 2 Tagen ging mir das gewaltig auf die Nerven. Ein kontinentales Frühstück wird kostenfrei in der Lobby vom Ocean Surf Hotel angeboten zwischen 7h und 9h. Orangensaft, Milch, Kaffe, Tee, Cornflakes und Bagels, sowie Gebäck und Kleinkuchen. Ich wurde sehr freundlich begrüßt beim Check In und auch sehr freundlich verabschiedet beim Check Out. Ich würde dennoch in dem Hotel kein zweites mal einchecken wollen. Aller Mehr

"Lowest End in Miami"
Dieses Hotel "rundet" das Angebot von hotels.com in Miami nach unten hin ab, wobei das einzige Rundlaufende der Bunsen brennende, Krach machende Fön im Bad ist. Ansonsten: Schimmel, schmutzige Handtücher und der abblätternde Charme früherer Tage (der zweifellos vor ca. 20 Jahren mal vorhanden war). Die Umgebung: zwei Minuten zum Strand und zwei Minuten […] in die andere Richtung ins Latinoviertel, wo man mit Spanisch weiter kommt als mit Englisch. Das Frühstücksbuffet: nicht der Rede wert Fazit: keine Empfehlung in diesem Hotel im Bezirk "Surf Side" abzusteigen. Miami bietet für ein wenig mehr Euro deutlich mehr Luxus bzw. etwas das sich wirklich Hotel nennen darf bspw. in "South Beach". Empfehlung an hotels.com: Nehmt dieses Hotel aus eurem Angebot. Auch Low-End sollte eine gewisse Grundhygiene bieten, damit man sich wohl fühlt und nicht ständig Panik haben muss. Mehr
"Für den Preis vollkommen OK"
Das Hotel war den Erwartungen entsprechend. Wenn man Süd/Ost Asien gewohnt ist dann ist ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer purer Luxus. Parken kann man in den Nebenstraßen ca. 3-5 Gehminuten entfernt umsonst. Lager direkt am Starnd. Preis war für die Untekunft OK.

Das Hotel ist schön gelegen. Es ist etwas entfernt von den Hauptattraktionen in Miami Beach, aber es bestehen gute Busverbindungen. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach eingerichtet (wir haben z.B. einen Kleiderschrank vermisst), aber es war immer sauber. Das Frühstück war nicht sehr vielfältig, aber okay. Alles in Allem eignet sich das Hotel gut für einen […] Urlaub, in dem man sowieso nicht allzu viel Zeit im Hotel verbringt. Für den Preis, den wir bezahlt haben, waren wir zufrieden. Mehr

"Not sworth it!"
This hotel is nothing like it looks like on the website, the room had no carpeting and it stunk. I had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times because i could smell the sewer from the bathroom. The only thing interesting about this hotel is that it's right across the beach so you can come out and in about 50 steps you'll be on this beautiful beach. […] The hotel itself is dirty and even though it took the cleaners over an hour or two to clean my room i still found dirt that was there from the day i arrived. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, the service there is very poor and that includes the building itself which looks nothing like a hotel. Mehr

the hotel rooms are beyond small. room for a bed, and one bag maybe. the cleaning lady goes around knocking on doors and starts cleaning around 9 am waking you up, well before checkout. would not reccomend this unless you are on a serious budget!!

Outrageously overpriced, really bad. Probably the worst place I've ever stayed, and that it cost what it did was a joke. Joke's on me though. One word: Run!

Horrible,Gross! Roaches crawling around,alley cats everywhere just nasty! The rooms itself was uncomfortable no blankets just sheets. 74 blocks away from anything popular. 40 dollars in cab fare round trip and that's only 1 time per day! Staff couldn't be any more rude I would never ever stay there again

Dingy, dirty with a really bad mold problem. Don't stay at this hotel. There was also nearly no room to store your clothing and one light in the room. This place smelled so bad it made me sick. We checked out early!
The hotel was clean and worth the amount we paid for one night stay however one resident was pounding on the door to get at 3:00 am which woke us up. Over all stay was good and would recommond to others.

Highly recommend to stay at Hawaii Hotel: beach? cross the street, low fees for public parking, great breakfast and GREAT people at front desk!

We only stayed for a night, it was not at all comfortable. Room was very small, bathroom was smelling horribly. Shampoo was not provided in the bathroom. Only the good thing about this hotel was, it was very close to the beach. It was not upto the mark for the price they charge for a night. Even the parking was not free.

My first 2 nights cost more than my second 2 nights, was charged a deposit my 2nd 2 nights but not the first 2 nights. Tiny room, dingy, 1 towel handed to me the first time (first room) 2 towels in bathroom the second 2 nights (different room). No tv remote control in the second room, blinds didnt work in either, internet was crap,...ocean views and […] city views advertised, neither available. The thing is, it was cheap (er) than anything around it...you get what you pay for ! As far as I consider, not a whole lot of effort would have to be made to make the place "better". But apathy seems to run the place. Not at all Hawaiian ! All in all I'm greatful to have found a room within my budget but the place is crap ! Good in a pinch but otherwise, if possible, seek alternative accomodations ! Mehr

"Hawaii Hotel"
For a one night stay in North Beach Miami, it is adequate. The room that we stayed in was basic and had clean linen. We didn't really stay in the hotel other than to sleep so much of the not so great views and decor didn't bother me.

Overpriced for what you get. I didn't expect much, but I was disappointed. Tiny room (barely enough room to walk arond the bed), but worse, the overall cleaness of the room was questionable... e.g., used flip flop in the shower!... Definitely more of a hostel than a hotel in my mind.

If you want a peaceful and convenient place to hang out right on the beach then this place works as long as you are willing to lower your standards. Rooms were not very clean and towels, which I had to ask for were stained so I used my own. No elevator so had to lug up our bags. Room was very small and furniture and closet were busted. You have to go next door again and sit either in their lobby or on the front porch (that was very nice hanging out there though with the tropical breeze) Had to pay for safe even though we didn't use it. Ice maker broken and breakfast was a joke; cheap, stale and questionable. Be prepared to pay 10-20 bucks for parking because you will get ticketed (but that's anywhere in Miami). People at the front desk were not friendly at all and could care less. The best thing about this place is the location which was beautiful and quiet. Too bad they don't maintain the place. Mehr

This is an excellent location if you are going for beach time. You will not be impressed by the hotel but, the location(beach wise) is excellent. You are 15 minutes from South Beach and there is plenty of parking very close by. Very economical but, not for the snotty crowd at all. In Dire need of renovations and facelift, place was a pigsty, parking was at meters not in a lot as I was told on phone, a BIG dissapointment, I would be surprised if this place can stay in biz for the next year!!

We stayed 9 days! Booked online . No Internet in the rooms! Only In the lobby but....very, very slow (dial up I think) The Staff and The manager at the reception are NOT helpful at all,and addressing an issue becomes an issue of its own! The level is low and "costumer service" simply does not exist! We left on the 9th day and moved to Days inn next […] door! What a difference! Move on....this one is no,no,no.! Mehr

HOTEL WAS NASTEY MOLD IN SHOWER. NO IRON NO MICROWAVE. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT A MICROWAVE I WAS TOLD AT THE FRONT DESK IT IS IN OUR KITCHEN. THERE WAS NO COVERS ON THE BEDS ONLY SHEETS ONLY.HAD TO GET BLANKET AT FRONT DESK. HAD TO CHECK IN THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR AT THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR. I dont recommend this hotel at all there are much much better ones there in Miami Beach. The hotel had no blankets just sheets, that felt damp and no curtains just blinds which can be seen through. the hotel is all inside and VERY LOUD in the hallways the hotel was so old school looking so please get another hotel not this one!!!!!
"Right across the street from the beach."
This hotel represents a period of time that has gone by. In its day I am sure it was a popular spot. The hotel was still in good shape but the room was a little sterile. No chairs and one table to put things on. There was no towels in the room when we checked in and only a top sheet on the bed which was very uncomfortable especially if your use to sleeping […] with a blanket. The A/C was hard to adjust the direction of the air. The TV remote did not work. The neighborhood was a little sketchy and the vacant old hotels that sat empty added to the ominous atmosphere. But the hotel was right across the street from the beach and the morning when we were leaving there was a beautiful sunrise that made it all seem OK. "Three comfortable nights at Hawaii Hotel"
Initially we were a little scared at the negative reviews online, but we found that the Hawaii Hotel was just fine. It is not high class, but it is near the beach, clean and convenient. No blanket, but who needs one in Miami in April? No wash cloths, and they should have been provided, but everything else was a real bargain when compared with the high […] prices everywhere else. The TV was good and we enjoyed watching Britain's royal wedding from our bed. So, for a clean, comfortable bed and basic room with beach access in Miami Beach, we would recommend the Hawaii Hotel. "Dirty hotel in nice location"
Its ceap, its close to the beach... but I would never sleep here again. It was extreamly dirty... I mean extreamlly dirthy. There was bugs under the bed... and there was moldy water under the bed. Our feets was black if we waled without shoes on the room floor. This is only Ok if you are arriving at 9PM to sleep and are leaving for something else the […] next morning when you wake up! Tont take kids here. Good things... well there was a few. Location. Just at the beach so great location. 10 min drive to Art Deco district. Good variation of resturants and fast food places in area. Parking was very cheap. DO not buy the pass from Hotel for 10 dollars. Parking is free between 6PM and 8AM. So you will almost never pay parking there. It cost 1 dollar per hour in the meter. Breakfast... well do not eat it! We have a baby so I wanted to use the micro in the kitchen our first night... I went in to the kitchen and found all breakfast buns and dounuts on the benches.... VERY dirty benches with coacroaches running ON THE FOOD!!! Day after we passed the lobby and could see people eating those buns as they had no idea! It was really discusting. DO NOT EAT there. "Just an overnight hotel, not for comfort"
We went to save money on the expensive beach front hotels. The hotel was just decent, they ran out of hand towels had to use a large towel to bathe. The room size was just like a small room with a bathroom, not like a normal hotel room. If you are just looking for a bed to sleep in for a few hrs, then this will do. The beach is walking distance across […] from the hotel so it's very conveinant. Had to go next door to the neighboring hotel for all the business related items and the phone in the room didn't work or turn on with no dial tone.. had to hunt down the cleaning lady walking the hall to ask for more towels. Other than that.. it was shelter from the outside for a decent price, luckily I got a hotel.com deal or it was have been alot more per night and that wouldn't have happened. Mehr

The hotel is just like all the reviews I've read b4.. it's dirty, ugly, cheap... if you can't afford nothing and just need a place to sleep, this is the place for you.. the "cortesy breakfast" is only an awful, watery, disgusting coffee and a bagel or orange juice!!! that's it !! the A/C never gets cold enough and smels bad.. oh, and the bathroom..
