For the price, you cannot find a better hotel in the area. The room was clean and in order. The wireless internet was stable and fast. This is not the ritz carlton, but it seems some reviewers thought it should be. The property is a little worn around the edges, but the employees are great. The first room they sent us to was completely trashed. It looked like a tornado had come through! The popcorn ceiling covered the floor, the AC unit was in the middle of the floor, and the lights flickered like a scene from a horror movie. The room they moved us into was a lot better but still wasn't great. I met one of the biggest, creepiest, multi-leg […] bugs I have ever seen when we woke up. The reason I gave the hotel a bad score. 1. the first rm we got someone had smoked in it ( i have chronic asthma) 2. next rm they gave us the key wasn't coded 3. the bathroom had roaches (we killed 6)only in bathroom 4. the air conditioner did work (man came up took front off & put a button) thing didn't come on all night (I thought we were going to […] burn up). 5. next day I spoke with front desk staff ask for another rm (manager upgraded us to a suite) It was nice by then I was upset because I picked this hotel & it was terrible. 6. I was attracted to this place because of the location and price. I didn't need much and this place delivered. It's close to a lot of good stuff and a MARTA station. CONS: Wireless did not work and breakfast was skimpy.

Our first night, the motel was completely booked solid, and we had a few problems. The room we booked wasn't available, they didn't have any extra pillows for our children, and the air didn't work. So we were a little worried about our second night. The staff was lovely to us, despite the late hour and the issues we were having, they upgraded our room, […] and completely took care of us for the second night of our stay. Beautiful place! Nice, friendly people who really helped us feel welcome while on vacation. I was skeptical once reading other reviews for this hotel but our room was very clean and presentable and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We typically stay down the street at the Hilton Suites, but they were booked and we stayed here. I think we'll be staying more often.

Good Price, great location. Disappointed in cable channels, there were not that many. The Continental breakfast was disappointing.

Staff was friendly, but not that professional. Printer in guest services business center was out of ink and staff did not have replacement cartridge). Room felt cramped. TV was very old. Last time, I stayed at Wyndham in Norcross.....was much better value & location & price.

The hotel was nice much better then the hotel we had to move from the same night. The only thing I didnt like was the complimentary breakfast.

The staff was helpful, the rooms clean and neat, the beds comfortable. We were in the center of a great shopping area plus being convenient to downtown Atlanta. We got our business done early so we left one day early and didn't have the slightest problem with getting a refund from Hotels.com. The hotel in Sandy Springs GA is ok for the money. This was our second time staying there and we had to get another room bc of the bathroom wasn't cleaned in the first room. I love great housekeeping and I would give them 3 stars. My advice to the hotel would be invest in someone who likes to do good work. Breakfast bar ok.

Rooms where very clean. Close to the Marta and staff was very friendly.Good price also.

This was my second stay within a year. I was ecstatic when they upgraded us to a suite at the start of our 6 day stay. This is a minimalist hotel but they do a good job and offer a clean facility. La Quinta and Marriott Extended Stay are across the driveway - I noticed how full their parking lots were and how empty Microtel was which seems like they […] are overlooked. Loved the free washer/dryer facility and the business center could use a faster PC but it was still convenient. They should invest in flat screen TVs to bring them to current day. Breakfast was great! Lobby Tv was scrambled, room tv was one not a flat screen, very outdated. But for the price I really can not afford to complain!

The stay at this hotel was very uncomfortable and unclean, I actually didn't stay my second night. The hotel was unclean and the service people were too busy texting and on the phone. I think someone had their aunt, grandma or mother just walking around downstairs in the hotel. Very unprofessional staff.

A very good hotel for the price that include a decent continental breakfast. Very friendly staff.

The hotel was fine, except they had no blankets on the bed or as a back up from the front desk or house keeping. How can a hotel not have Blankets? I did not stay for Breakfast cause I was not able to get a good sleep with out a blanket.

i have stayed in a lot of hotels but this one was by far the best ever. they are extremely clean and neat. the staff is friendly helpful and kind. they are willing to help in any way they can to make your stay wonderful. i will stay here again. i have decided when i'm in this area working that this will be my spot. the owners and managers should be […] proud of the staff they hired because they are a shinning examples of good employees. Nive place, and very convenient to most locations in the area. Fair pricing for what you get. Pool was fun. ONLY complaint is that they were vert inflexible when requesting a late check out of ONLY one hour.... that was a major aggravation.

I didnt realize when I arrived at the hotel that people LIVED there. One morning I got up to have breakfast and there was a young black woman with SIX children who made a MESS of the breakfast area and no one bothered to clean it up including the mother of those children. When breakfast time was over, and I mean to the EXACT MINUTE, everything was whisked […] away and locked in the cabinets. I felt like I was in jail. The only difference being no alarm was sounded when breakfast time was over. Being on the first floor I had elephants over my head. The Wi Fi didnt work so I tapped into La Quinta Inn which was across the parking lot! When going out side I saw bunk beds against the windows in rooms on the second floor. I would NEVER recommend this hotel and I will never stay there again. Mehr

Great stay for the price and convenience. Would certainly recommend others stay here. The only issue that would make for an easier stay would be sign at street level because the entrance is very dark at night. This hotel is conveniently located to the Metro Station (Sandy Springs).

This hotel is a great value for the area. The front desk staff and courteous and efficient (unless they receive a phone call). The rooms are functional and the beds OK in terms of comfort. Housekeeping is pretty hit and miss but, overall, the hotel is reasonably clean. Except for the bugs...bed bugs, that is. I awoke one morning to find my neck, back, […] arm, and face covered with bites that are unmistakeably bed bugs (round, itchy welts in tight linear patterns of 3s). Management denies that there is a "problem," but it is impossible to deny going to bed without bites, and then waking up with them. I was the only one in the room and I didn't bite myself! Draw your own conclusion, but know that I have spent a very uncomfortable 4 days following my last stay applying hydrocortisone (obtained by prescription following a medical diagnosis) to deal with the itching, swelling, and burning. I thought it odd that I was in the hotel for 2 nights prior to the attack, but was told by my physician that bed bugs typically "dine" every few weeks. I was also told that it can take up to a week for symptoms to appear, so the attack may have occurred during my stay last week (this was my third consecutive week in the hotel). Please note that I was not able to find any previous reports of bed bug problems at this hotel (I always check before staying in a new hotel). Also keep in mind that these critters tend to hitch rides in frequent travelers' luggage, so this may be a new outbreak. What remains to be seen is what the management there intends to do about it. This hotel is very affordable and very confy! Its a little bit of distance from all the attractions but Its trust me you will not be in a peace if staying downtown.. and the mall is just 2mins away! Only complaint is that the room was dusty, as soon as I walked I could smell the dust. Not as serious as it sounds but a little annoying.

This hotel was comfortable, room spacious, and the environment clean. The staff, very professional and couteous.

The toilet, cable and air conditioner were all broke in the first room I was given. But the front desk switched my room and everything worked great in the second room. Extremely comfortable bed and one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in.

We had gotten into Atlanta a night early and just needed a place for the night. The best thing to say, its what you expect from Microtel...Cheap, clean and convient. No more, no less.

The desk clerk was helpful. The stay would have been fine but the bedding smelled and this cause me to feel uncomfortable.

At the time of booking our hotel, we reserved a room with one queen size bed and a sleeper couch (as described in the ad). I also contacted the website to ensure we could access our room at our early morning arrival as long as we paid for the previous night. Not only did the attendant at the customer service desk have NO IDEA what I was talking about […] but our room contained ONE FULL size bed and our "sleeper sofa" was a 2 inch padded cushion on a window seal (about a foot wide by 4 feet long). I would not recommend this website or hotel to anyone, and refuse to use this website myself. Mehr

Disgusting hotel

We chose Microtel because it was centrally located to were we needed to be. We were in town for a wedding and knew we wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room other than to sleep, shower and change our clothes. Some of the gym equipment was inoperable, but other than that, it was nice. The staff was awsome!!!!!!! It was perfect for what we needed […] and i would recommend Microtel, I would stay there again. I was very glad that I booked this hotel. Front desk staff was very pleasant and the room was spotless. Very conveniently located in what seemed to be a safe area with many dining and shopping options in the area. Also very close to the MARTA station. The only thing I could find fault with was the AC in my room, which was quite noisy. (But, happily, […] my window opened and it was beautiful weather so I was able to turn off the AC. ) Mehr
