Astoria Opera - Paris

Liegt nahe (100m) an der U Bahnstation Rome, mit der man in 6-7 min im Zentrum ist. In der nähe auch einige Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Sacre Coure Basilika, der Moulin Rouge, der Arce de Triomphe und von dort aus ist man rasch beim Eiffelturm und des Champs e Lysee Avenues und Parks. Small Room.....Bad Room Service....but really near to the metro station.

Gemütliches Hotel an toller Lage, ca. 200 m zur Metrostation "Rome", von wo aus man in max. 15-20 min. die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem erreicht. The hotel was okay. Nice greeting. Clean room, but room was quite small (barely enough space to walk around bed) and the promised wifi was not working at all in the room (no signal at all). We asked for a room with wifi reception and they changed our room to a room with just intermittent wifi (although the room was larger than the tiny room they initially […] gave). The wifi would go on and disappear and we'd have to log on over and over. I had to work during my stay. Big problem for somone who wanted to work-- or even stay connected in any way. The wifi system is a failure on all fronts ... it not only doesnt work well, but the passwords and user names work only on 1 device so we had to get 4 usernames and passwords (1 for each iPhone and computer) and a completely new set of passwords and usernames every day of our stay. By the end of the 5 days we had 20 mixed up pieces of paper (none were marked with the dates) the usages times all overlapped and made it impossible to figure out the whole mess and the wifi barely worked sometimes and many times there was no signal) we had to work in the lobby many times and even there the signal was weak at best, and painfully slow. Whoever sold the hotel that service obviously doesn't understand the needs of people in any way. Are they afraid a neighbor might use the wifi??- (then just get a simple router and change the password every few days or weeks!!!) • Then there was the night desk man. At first, we were just annoyed one evening to be left outside for minutes locked outside the front door freezing while he asked us questions through the glass (rudely and smugly not believing we were staying in the hotel, despite showing him the key, and afterward saying "there was a security problem that day"-- as if this was was the correct way to treat guests.) Very close the the metro, and service is good. Everyone were trying to help and were kind. But room size was so small i has to put mu suitcase on one of the beds ... and wifi (there is no other option besides WIFI) were slow and limited. So that was a problem. Good nice and intimate hotel, in the money per value - i can recommend it.

Everything was perfect, except the following: 1) I asked the night hotel clerk to order me a taxi for the next morning at 8AM to go to the airport. He actually argued with me that I needed to get a taxi sooner. I finally was insistent with him, as I'd taken this flight on a Sunday multiple times before. He gave me a sour face for not wanting to take […] his advice, but finally agreed to reserve the taxi for me. 2) I had put the "do not disturb" sign on my door as I needed desperately to sleep after a grueling one week conference. I was woken up by the maids, anyway, who asked me if I wanted the room cleaned. Do not disturb means do not disturb. What didn't they understand? Wi- fi needs one code for the stay instead of daily code changes. Getting wi-fi set up and keeping it working was annoying to say the least.

This hotel was not a dissapointment in comparison to other 3 star hotels in Paris. Put something heavy at the back of your door, the chamber maids either can not read the "do not disturb sign" or they have no respect for people's privacy, they will burst into your room if you are not out of the room in their time even if your stay is not over, and the […] front desk will call to let you know they need to clean your room. The hotel is under construction and it is a Best Western in Paris, however, the rooms are a little larger. The rooms are overrated and overpriced like everything else in Paris. Mehr

Ok hotel. BIGGEST issue was the construction in the lobby. Read it in a review from last august, thought it would be done by now. Room was small and dorm like. Clean and resently refirbished, so resently it really had a new paint smell. Nice enough area, outside Paris but less than a block from the Rome metro station which is a main one. This hotel was a nice hotel, very close to the Rome Metro stop and I would stay her again for the value and experience. The staff was helpful and accodating. The negatives of the stay were 1) the construction work that begin early in the morning so did not allow for any time to sleep in and blocked the view from the window. 2) Also, the walls between […] the rooms was so thin you could hear conversations of other guests. Friendly staff. Clean. Very small elevator and hallways. Only two english TV stations (CNN & BBC). Good location- close to Metro and historical sites well within walking distance. Would stay again.

The Best Western Astoria Opera would have been perfect if it was in St. Germain. The area in which it is located is too sleepy. You have to walk quite a distance to get to multiple cafe choices, attractions, etc.

Hotel has an excellent location; walking distance to attractions like Moulin Rouge and near to great restaurants. Near this hotel are various excellent and cheap restaurants; however we recommend the Italian restaurant in the rue de turin (unfortunately we forget to write the name).

The hotel is located about a block from the Rome Metro station. Very easy to get around in Paris. Cleanliness was a plus. The hotel staff was very helpful.

We booked a room with a double sized bed but ours was a KING. Biggest bed I have seen in any European hotel in this price range. Staff was friendly and accomodating. There was a grocery store around the corner to procure inexpensive sandwiches, fruit, wine, etc. Around the other corner was a small inexpensive sandwich shop. A Bistro a couple of doors […] down served one of the best meals we ever had, went back and had the same meal two more times without regret. Close to metro. No frills, no extras but for basic accomodations, it was very comfortable. Highly recommend and would stay there again. Mehr

The room was exceptionally clean & the sheets super crisp. I however suggest that you make sure that breakfast is indeed included in the fee that you paid. I asked when we first came in & was told that breakfast was included, but when we were checking out, we were given a $300 bill. So double & tripe check before you go down for that breakfast!

This European hotel was wonderful; I definitely will stay here again. It was best for us to take a cab from the train station to the hotel; after that, we bought passes for the subway. There are a lot of cafes in the area and subways aren't far to walk. Front desk was always helpful. A note to remember, the "lift" will hold only 2 people, without luggage. […] Our air-conditioned room stayed cool and was spacious, very spacious for Europe. Bring a clock; rooms don't have one. Also, no coffee in-room. There was a daily breakfast buffet; rather expensive, but so is all of Paris. It was very good. BE AWARE OF PICK POCKETS IN THE SUBWAY - THEY ARE VERY GOOD. Mehr

Hotel bien situé, un peu galere pour le stationnement. A 2 pas de Pigale et Montmartre. Propre, accueil tres sympathique, bon petit dejeuné.

Excellent hôtel refait neuf , proche de Montmartre . Très bonne literie ! Séjour très agréable ! Parfait accueil et services !

O hotel fica bem proximo ao metro Rome onde é super facil se locomover para todos pontos turisticos. No geral é mediano, ótimos recepcionistas e staff, cama e banheiro ótimos, ,o que me incomodou um pouco foi o fato do quarto ser de carpete e o sistema de climatização do quarto estar quebrado. Acho o valor alto pela qualidade do quarto.

Ett litet hotell med närhet till metro. Otroligt bra service ifrån receptionen! Kvinnan i receptionen hjälpte oss först med kommunikationen mellan oss och taxichauffören då han inte tog kort och sen fick vi hjälp av en kille i receptionen som i ca. 1,5 timmes tid mitt i natten tog sig tid att leta efter en pizzeria som hade hemkörning. Super! Dock […] blev vi lite paffa när vi ifrån badrummet hörde någon ute i rummet och när vi går ut för att kolla ser vi hur städerskan springer ut genom dörren, vänder sig om och tittar in med dörren på glänt och frågar om vi vill ha städning som om inget hade hänt. Detta fast vi satt upp "don't disturb" skylten. När vi sen går ut och sätter upp 'clean up my room' och kommer tillbaka har dom vänt skylten men inte städat rummet. Trots dessa små händelser är det ändå ett helt ok hotell med som sagt bra service ifrån receptionen och vi kan gott rekommendera det. Men överlag ett bra hotell Mehr

Bien qu'un peu petite la chambre est agréable, déco récente et relativement moderne, lit confortable. La proximité des stations de métro est appréciable, l'accueil et le service agréables. Je le recommande.

Bel hôtel restauré, chambre confortable malgrès des lit jumeaux et peu d'espace. Petit déjeuné très copieux.

Es un hotel bien ubicado, las habitaciones son demasiado pequenas, no son comodas, el desayuno es regular.

OK hotel til prisen. AC virkede ikke, men det var ikke væsentligt for os pga. årstiden. God service. Dyr morgenmad. God beliggenhed. God oplevelse.

La propreté de la salle de bain laisse à désirer. Les chambres mériteraient une rénovation en profondeur. La rue est calme mais on entend plutôt bien les chambres voisines et les femmes de chambre (très sympathiques par ailleurs) qui posent leurs affaires devant votre chambre. Il n'y a pas de volets mais de simples rideaux aux fenêtres, ce qui fait […] que l'enseigne lumineuse peut être très dérangeante pendant la nuit. Mehr

Hotel ancien rénové de façon moderne clinquant. Pas de charme pour un séjour entre amoureux. Insonorisation laisse à désirer (portes claquent, tuyauteries...). Mais chambre très propre et matelas excellent (j'avais la chambre 324). Bon rapport qualité prix pour un hotel dans Paris intra-muros.

Hyggelig personale og god service.Midt på treet når det gjelder innredningen.Men nært metro og ganske sentralt.

Det fungerede med en seng, internet og et badeværelse. Dog vil jeg nødigt have været to mennesker i værelset -- forholdene var meget små.
