Super 8 Louisville/Expo Center - Louisville

Overall we were satisfied with our stay. PROS: room appeared clean, great customer service, restaurant right across the street, free breakfast from 6-9AM. CONS: the free wi-fi signal in my room was weak and often dropped connection, the water pressure in the shower was weak, the door to our room was hard to open and creaked really bad.

it was just an over night stay. I was upset the the breakfast, the juice machine was broke, I felt the hotel should have went to the local store to buy some juice due to there juice machine was broken. the waffle batter machine was on the blink but they were able to get it working again

We arrived around midnight and left early in the a.m. The area was nice and was close to the Louisville Expo Center and Louisville stadium. Staff was friendly.

We had the most wonderful experience while attending a dog show at the expo center. I was leery of the Super 8 experience but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was updated and across the street from the expo center entrance. The pet fee was very reasonable. Our room was clean and well furnished with a desk, coffee maker, hair dryer, internet access, […] and good daily housekeeping service. The sink was outside the bathroom adding convenience for my daughter and I getting ready in the morning. The tub/shower was probably the most roomy I have ever experienced for a hotel and the curved shower curtain made it even better. Although the bathroom was small there was plenty of room for a large person to get dressed. Breakfast was the usual cereal, donuts & juice but also included waffles and limited fruit. If you need a microwave, there is one in the little room off the breakfast area, available for guests to use (you can ask at the front desk and they will direct you). Staff were very pleasant. My only complaint was that the beds were a little too firm for my liking. I still managed to sleep ok but a little memory foam or pillow top would have made it better. We will definitely stay here again when returning with dogs. Mehr

(we were two 19-year-old travellers). Hotel was very nice, clean, and cheap. Free hotel parking was great. Within 5 or 10 driving minutes from downtown, easy to find metered parking downtown (in January). Would be nice if hotel staff knew a little more about tourism in the area. But overall, great for the price, safe area, and clean.

Stayed here for a recent show. Rooms and hotel were very clean and price was right. If you are looking for a cheap decent hotel, I recommend it!

My family had a place to stay for the night as we checked in at 8PM and was out by 9AM. It was reasonably priced and closed to our next itinerary.

Overall the hotel wasn't bad. In the room we stayed, the recliner was broken and there was a fixture hanging off the wall. And there was an odd odor as you walked into the room but was gone the further you got into the room. The overall cleanliness was good and the staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast could have been better though. I stayed […] at a Super 8 not from this location a year ago and the breakfast was better at that location. Would I stay here again? The hotel was poorly maintained - painters tape on many surfaces, the floors were dirty especially the bathroom. stray hairs from who knows where, We had ants in the room on a reqular basis. Had we not prepaid, we would have checked out early. Needless to say, we won't stay at a Super 8 in the future.

If you are going to the Churchill this is a great location. It is a great place to sleep & save some money for the track.

There was no hotel shuttle, and I had to take a cab from the airport. The only reason I chose this hotel was for the shuttle. Also, the first room I was given was totally destroyed and the mattress was thrown up against the wall.

The Super 8 Louisville was just what I wanted. I was only in Louisville to go to Churchill Downs and the hotel is very close to CD. It was safe, clean, with a pleasant staff. The location was perfect, not far from the airport and with places to eat nearby.

This was a great overall experience. The hotel was very clean and the front desk clerk David was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed was horrible and my sheets had blood on them! Would not recommend staying here just due to bed!

We had a comfortable stay at Super 8 Louisville. The staff were helpful and the service was very hospitable. Being from England it would have been nice to have a Kettle in the room instead of a Coffee Maker.

Old, needs refurbishing. Noise from airplanes, trains, hotel guests.

Hotel was conveniently located to the KY Expo center, where we were setup at a show. Room was quiet, bed was firm and very comfortable, pillows were just right. Slept like a baby each night. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Restaurants nearby and grocery store right around the corner & down the street.

there is nothing good i can say about this hotel. the cleanliness was terrible, i ordered 2 rooms with 2 double beds in non-smoking rooms, 1 room was a single double bed and the other room was a in a smoking room which was like sleeping in a ashtray, went to the clerk to resolve this situation and would not take care of the situation, and on top of […] that i was disturbed at 11 pm with people trying to get in our room, then the clerk disturbed us wanting to know who we were and why we was in the room, how dumb can you get, and that was at both of our rooms, so no i will not use this hotel nor ask anyone else to go there. We booked this hotel due to its location, as we were attending a concert at the Ky State Fair. For this is was awesome. Walking distance to both the fair grounds and Papa Johns Stadium. Front desk did send us on a goose chase for fair tickets, and when asked for extra pillows we were told they were full so they didnt have any. They did provide us with […] some rolled up sheets which got us through. Overall a good stay. Mehr

this hotel was more then just clean the smell continued on every floor of Lysol clean and it stayed until you become overwelmed and leave

This hotel is very reasonably priced and a nice place for the money. Very clean and staff were very nice.

Needs improvement. Ceiling falling apart, tile and carpet needed to be repaired. First room had a king size bed that looked like a crater in the middle. Second room looked like it was under construction.

One guy at the front desk was rude.... stained sheets in the room and housekeeping never cleaned our room. So as long as you you check the sheets and make sure you get your room cleaned and get clean towels everyday its good for the price. very close to airport and close to downtown.

The staff were not very qualified in their positions. They were not familiar with stadard credit card policies.

The motel was OK, but not more than that. The staff were a bit indifferent/passive. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing. The main advantage is the proximity to the Expo Center. Nothing really negative about the motel or the stay, it was just a bit below the average lodging.
