Das Bett war alt und zu hart. Nach unserer Reklamation haben wir aber anstandslos ein anderes Zimmer erhalten. Das kostenlose Morgenessen und Zvieri sind frisch gemacht und gut.

Gut geführtes Motel. Qualitativ hochwertige Lebensmittel am kleinen Frühstückbuffet und beim Wein und Käse nachmittags. Einziger Nachteil: ca 45 minütiger Fussmarsch bis zum Pier von Santa Monica.

I stayed in the Cozy Queen Guestroom at the Channel Road Inn in early December 2011. I arrived very late at night and it took a few bell rings before anyone answered the door, but the front of the place was so charming, I was almost happy to wait and have the chance to see it. The room is quite small, but comfortable. It is decorated in a very soothing, […] feminine way. I resolved to eat only one of the fresh cookies waiting for me in the room, but the first was so good, I finished all three. In the morning, I headed down to breakfast early and it was delicious. I had yogurt, fresh berries, and a hard boiled egg, since I'd splurged on the cookies, but the main entree looked divine, too. The cherry on the top of my visit was the pleasure of dealing with the innkeeper in the morning. I was concerned about finding parking for a meeting I had later and she offered to give me quarters for a meter. Drawbacks: The parking lot is cramped. If you have a larger vehicle, make sure you aren't the last to arrive. It isn't newly renovated. The room really is small. I wouldn't put more than one person in there unless you really want to be cozy. Mehr

The first thing to mention is that the inn has a lovely staff who seem to keep guests' comforts as primary concern and they succeeded with my family to the maximum degree. Great food at breakfast, accomodating to gluten free concerns, nice appetizers accompanying evening wine reception, including raw veggies and hummus and 3 choices of wine while we […] stayed (one sparkling). The interior is well maintained. Typical comfy atmosphere with books, movies to borrow, games, nice bright views. The Inn is just 1 blk off a nice section of beach, easy on/off major driving routes; An abundance of nice restaurants in walking or easy driving distance. We had a wonderful 2-night stay (oh, forgot to mention, gorgeous bedding and wasn't at all bothered by "street noise" some have mentioned.) Would love to return and use the free loaner bikes and explore more of the town. The management should be very proud of their property and care of guests! Mehr

Our room happened to be a cozy queen special. It was located near the highway (which was extremely loud at night) and I felt the drains were always clogged at the sink and when we showered. The carpet was very odorous, giving the entire place a very antique/old smell when you walked throughout the house. The only positives were the afternoon hors d'eurves/wine […] and the breakfast was quite tasty in the dining area. I don't think my husband and I will be coming back. Mehr

The Channel Road Inn is very comfortable with a nice, quiet location close to the beach and bike path. I felt very much at home there with lovely staff and beautiful fireplace. It is easy to walk or drive to many good restaurants.

Stayed one night recently - the staff was VERY nice and accommodating - room was spacious - bathroom not so - old TV - nice spread of food in the afternoon - even nicer spread for breakfast - enjoyed use of bikes at no charge - convenient to beach - beautiful neighborhood just behind inn - would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic family run Inn. Rooms are comfortable. Very close to the beach area (5 mins walk), however, you have to walk through a smelly tunnel to get there! Very homely feel and friendly staff. Would use again.

Inn was a delight . Rooms are beautiful as are public areas . Garden,loaner bikes .jacuzzi and an ideal location in a quiet area but close to beach and a variety of inviting restaurants. Very nice people, a fine breakfast plus wine and snacks in the p.m. What else can you ask for ?

To say the least, Channel Road Inn is a gem nestled outside of Santa Monica. The Inn was absolutely lovely and was very close to the beach. My only complaint was I wish I could have stayed longer.

I had a very relaxing stay! Unfortunately, only one night. Very close to the beach-- walking distance!

A very pleasant comfy-cozy B&B country inn. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Arriving for a photo shoot with several heavy bags, however, the lack of an elevator to 2d floor rooms was a big drawback. Those needing any kind of handicapped access will also find the place impossible.

I don't usually write reviews, but my husband and I really liked this inn. We had chosen the least expensive room, the cozy queen, which the staff told us was the smallest in the inn. Because we are traveling in different climates for a month, we each have a large and small suitcase, and there wasn't really room for that amount of luggage in the tiny […] room. But much was done with the small room and it was charming. Since there is a lovely living room and adjacent rooms for eating, the size of our room was okay for our short stay. The breakfasts are super and the afternoon wine and cheese quite pleasant. The free parking is a plus. It is just minutes to walk down to the water or to get into the heart of Santa Monica. Hotel rates are well above what is reasonable to pay (even more than what we paid to stay at the Bellagio in Vegas) and yet the comfort and convenience factor were not as expected. The inn is lovely and well maintained and provides great (a little pretentious) breakfast and snacks and wine in the evening. It is a very comfortable room and the bed was […] lovely. However, it is located 2 miles from Santa Monica Pier in a location right on the beach buf for those wanting a more authentic Santa Monica experience it is quite removed from the action. It seemed in a safe location and came with parking but the choice of restaurants nearby was limited. Dissapointing room cleaning service as our rubbish was not thrown out the next day, the gowns were not put away and it seems that the house keeper simply made the bed. Hotel also did not have great pamphlets for visiting the area - not a single decent map for those driving. Bonuses were a jacussi bath tub and electric fire place that provided good heat. Mehr

I travel a lot, for both business and pleasure, so I'm very critical of hotels. I also don't write a lot of reviews, but my experience here was so good I felt compelled to share it. This is easily the best hotel I've stayed at in the Los Angeles area, and one of the best in the country. I don't have a single complaint about my stay. For starters, […] checking in was insanely simple- no lines, no wait, no fuss- and no rushing to get everything out of the car so the valet could park it at $30 a night and I could wait 15 minutes for them to bring it back- parking was FREE, ample (always a space in the private lot), and steps from the entrance. For LA/Santa Monica, this is already a big step in the right direction. No, upon walking in, I was met with the innkeeper who was (no kidding) baking cookies and cakes for the guest, who gave me a quick tour of the place and left me in my room. Check in took 2 minutes- check out took ten seconds. I'd booked the smallest room in the hotel, and without asking (or being a member of any sort of special club), they'd upgraded me to a GIGANTIC queen room. The room was immaculate, none of that special "smell" that some B&Bs or smaller hotels can have- everything was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was gigantic- seriously, bigger than my apartment. There was actually a couch/spare bed in the bathroom, and if that sounds odd, note that this isn't billed as a "two bedroom" unit- there's just a fully usable bonus bed in the bathroom, and it fits (and was used by a friend one night). The queen bed was comfortable and plush, with wonderfully soft linens and a fresh, clean comforter. Breakfast was served early each morning, and was not overly large (cereals, a hot egg dish, freshly baked pastries that I recognized being baked in-house the day before, fruit, toast and jams, and hard boiled eggs) but quite ample. From the moment one steps through the door of this beautiful heritage home, you have entered into the care of some amazing people. The extent by which they welcome you and make you feel at home is exceptional. They has really put an enormous amount of thought and effort into making you feel comfortable. We stayed here for four nights at the end of our honeymoon. Overall, it was a very good inn. We stayed in the petite suite - it was a good size with a useful separate lounge area that was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good as were the hors d'oevres/wine in the afternoon. My only criticisms are these: the TV in the lounge area of the petite suite […] was possibly the worst I have ever used, the noise from the kitchen next door was heard clearly in the morning and the hot tub temperature was notoriously unpredictable. I loved how this hotel paired old world style with modern conveniences. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the food was delicious, and the room was perfect.

Simples mas muito aconchegante e bem cuidado. Lanche da tarde e café da manhã deliciosos. Excelente para quem quer sair da confusão de Bervelly Hills e passear um pouco pela praia de bicicleta.

Nous avons bien apprécié cet hôtel. Ambiance familiale, au salon avec feu de bois. Bien agréable, car le temps était à la pluie. On assiste à la confection des gâteaux du petit déjeuner. Chambre très douillette. Bravo !
