Ibis Amsterdam Airport - Badhoevedorp

Da wir das Hotel wegen seiner Nähe zum Airport Amsterdam Schiphol gewählt hatten und auch nur für eine Übernachtung wegen des frühen Abflugs nutzen wollten , war es für uns bestens geeignet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir bei unserer Bewertung das wirklich nette und kompetente Rezeptionspersonal, die Möglichkeit sein Auto für die Dauer der Reise […] kostenfrei parken zu können und den tollen Shuttle-Service. Allerdings gibt es Minuspunkte bei der Bewertungs für die Pizza die wir dort gegessen haben-----absolut ungeniesbar. Mehr

Das Ibis-Amsterdam Airport kann man gut besuchen, wenn man wirklich nur drin schlafen möchte. Es ist sehr groß und laut, die Parkgebühren sind auch nicht gerade günstig .... Das Frühstücksbüffet ist reichlich und auch gut sortiert, aber eine reine Massenabfertigung. Das ist sehr schade. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, etwas klein vielleicht. Die Betten […] waren wirklich gut. Leider konnte man das Fenster nicht öffnen, da an 3 Seiten des Hotels Parkplätze sind und auch nachts ein An- und Wegfahren ist - Türen knallen, Motoren laufen teilweise sehr lange ( Busse!!!). Um in die Stadt Amsterdam zu kommen gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten: mit dem Auto ( davon rate ich aber dringendst ab!), mit dem kostenlosen Hotelshuttle zum Flughafen, dann mit der Bahn in die Stadt ( das ist wahrscheinlich die einfachste und beste Möglichkeit) und dann kann man auch noch auf die verschiedenen Park &Ride Parkplätze fahren und von dort relativ günstig in die Stadt. Als reine Zwischenübernachtung für 1 Nacht würde ich das Hotel wieder wählen - für länger würde ich mich evt. anders entscheiden. Mehr

excellent location to the airport, service was excellent. Great to have a real "walk in" shower!

The staff was excellent. We were unfamiliar with the area so were restricted to eating at the hotel. the cheapest thing we could find was a hamburg, fench fries and a small drink for the equivalent of about $17.00 each. Our breakfast ws included but i would hate to think what we would have had to pay for the buffet , which was the only restaurant we […] could find open in the morning. If there was another, we couldn't find it. The volume of the TV was set so it would only go so high and we could not hear it. When I phoned to ask if it could be changed I was told it couldn't be done. What's the use of having a TV if you can't hear it? Mehr

I liked the location, the free-wifi and the layout of the room. Didn't quite get the whole '10 euro voucher to watch TV' or 'a deposit to borrow the iron' or being handed the kettle at reception with A plastic cup! Even with all this though, I stayed there one night as I had 11 hours transit time which I didn't fancy spending in the Schipol plastic […] chairs....and thoroughly enjoyed their free wi-fi and comfy rooms. Pros: Excellent value for price, Excellent breakfast buffet with good variety, frequent free shuttle to and from airport to take train from airport to city center, friendly staff, good alternative to staying in city, free wi-fi Cons: Have to buy a card to use TV Great value for hotel and save money to explore city!!

The hotel is quite far from city. Rooms are really small and dingy. Parking price is very high as the hotel is located in a rural area. It is only good for someone staysjust one night before his/her next flight.

Shuttles are quite convenient and there are 4 to 5 in an hour. Very easy to go back to the airport and then to city center. Rooms are clean and the wifi is very fast!! It's a valuable hotel!

The restaurant was closed and the of the meals in the bar were not available Music in the bar was to loud to have a resonable conversation

The hotel is in a convenient location and comes at a reasonable price; it is clean and has a good shuttle service. Thus recommended for a needed overnight stay. The service at the restaurant was so-so, rather slow, and I had to remind a bout two items. The breakfast was o.k., though somewhat pricey for the offered variety/quality. Was served raw turkey when asked the waiter actually said that turkey is served this way... Salmonella struck.. Else like a airport hotel, no charm, no smiles. Will never again stay at an Ibis hotel due to the food history but besides the food it is an Ok one night sleep hotel.

excellent value, very welcoming and accommodating reception staff. restaurants within hotel were friendly and great food. shuttle bus to and from airport fast and free. so glad i stayed here for my very early flight the next morning

I chose the hotel due to my flight arriving at the Amsterdam International Airport a bit late in the evening. The shuttle bus service was a welcome bonus after a 18 hour flight, the reception helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast buffet for some extra euros, was pretty good. The hotel targets towards business persons so you won't find it to […] be a cozy place, but it does the job and good at it. Overall, a nice and efficient choice if you fly in late into Amsterdam. The hotel is convinient and nice but the service was terrible. I waited 30 min to checkout while this other guy who clearly could have checked me out pretended he was too busy and how hard is it to print a receipt? They acted like I was asking what all the elements of the periodic table was...

the ibis on Schipol airport is real close to the airport, and hotel shuttle bus is on time. it takes only several min from airport to hotel. very convinient. and quiet. room is clear, especially the toilet is properly design and built. it is simple but functional. but hotel ask guest to pay for internet in room, which i feel not comfortable. hotel breakfast […] is aboudant but taste is not so good. We chose this hotel because we had expensive bicycles and went hunting for a hotel with indoor space for them. In this respect, the hotel was great, allowing us to store them in the luggage room. The receptionist at check-in was superb. He didn't know anything about the arrangements, but was very friendly and sorted things out very quickly. After that, […] unfortunately things went downhill very quickly. Each of the individual problems were trivial in themselves. For example, out of order vending machines and and room keys which worked once then failed. However, they added up to a whole series of hassles, and the attitude of the staff ranged from offhand to borderline rude. I finally spoke to the duty manager about it, telling him I was particularly unhappy about paying €50 for a nearly cold meal in our room. He asked me when we were checking out and assured me that he would take care of the matter. At checkout, the meal was charged for in full and there was no message from the manager. I'll be taking it up with IBIS but based on the customer experience so far, I'm not holding my breath. Ghostly Mehr

if you are in Amsterdam, for the price I don't know if you can find a better hotel. Airport shuttle is a bit slow and can be very crowded at times, but the hotel itself is great. Friendly staff, a bar, restaurant on premises. I enjoyed my time and found it to be well worth the money.

Their free shuttle runs frequently to/from AMS. The city center is only 15minutes away by train (7.40 euro Return ticket). The hotel has many restaurants and cafe. The free hot breakfast was a treat!

This is a basic hotel that caters very well for the traveller, with a range of food facilities, including an excellent breakfast service. The free shuttle service to the airport makes it easy to catch a train into th heart of the old city.

Was shocked at the size of this hotel. Kind of reminded me of a off the strip Las Vegas casino hotel without the casino with its lights, restaurants and bars. I kind of liked the hotel. Since I arrived late into Amsterdam Airport and had to leave early, it was very convenient. Frequent shuttle service to and from the hotel/ terminal was nice. One complaint, […] when getting off the shuttle to register, it was a free for all getting to desk. Lots people just cut ahead which made it aggravating. The hotel is very convenient to the Cruise Ship terminal-just a Tram stop and a short walk away. Very convenient to see downtown Amsterdam. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The room was very small and spartan compared to American standards; but it was comparable to a tiny cruise ship cabin. We would definitely […] stay again. For those who want a clean affordable hotel and are not looking to pay for Amsterdam's extrememly pricey luxurious accommodations. Mehr

Evening arrival at Schipol followed by an early morning flight out? Hotel Ibis is a good solution. Complimentary bus service runs early to late and frequently. It's close to the airport, so don't expect a neighborhood to stroll in. Room was clean and functional. Modular bathroom is clean and new. Top sheet is on thin mattress pad only, not on the whole […] mattress, but it was clean. Food is adequate - you won't starve - but don't expect a wonderful meal. Best bet - between the vending machines and the "high end" restaurant is the pizza restaurant. All food (except the vending machines in the lobby) is on the 4th floor. We selected Ibis because of proximity to Schipol and price. We planned on returning to the airport for breakfast based on others' reviews warning of the overpriced breakfast at Ibis. Unlimited Free WiFi in lobby. And don't forget the complimentary shoe shine machine in the hallway. Mehr

The staff without exception were very kind and helpful! I would stay there again. We spent the night to catch an early flight out in the morning. It work well and would do it again. I'm not sure I would stay a week but maybe I would.

Other than the room being very small, you couldn't stay at a better hotel for the money if you need to be close to the airport. Their shuttle leaves every 10 min. for the airport, where you can get the train to Amsterdam Central. The staff was extremely helpful. A friend brought me beautiful flowers and the hotel had no vase, but brought me a bucket […] with water so the flowers wouldn't die. I gave them to the desk when we left. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good. And, the pizza was some of the best I've ever had. The hotel has 3 different restaurants. I recommend it highly if you don't mind small rooms. Mehr

It was simply excellent. I was very impressed with the bilangual of all staff. I was worried about communicationg with staff as I speak only one language; but was very impressed as all staff could communicate in English.. Excellent service; will visit soon again.......

Hotel is WAY overpriced for what you get. It is conveniently located close to the airport with a reliable shuttle, which is good. However, you have to pay for everything! Breakfast, internet, local phone calls. Front desk service is not great. Amsterdam has so many hotels that are nicer, cheaper, and have better service. I would not recommend.

the hotel in very well located near the airport, and very goog value for money, with the necessary bar and restaurants

Convenient , close to the airport and very central.

Having stayed in many hotel / motels over the years, we can say the rooms here are the best layout we have seen for a 3 or even 4 star hotel. Good beds, bathroom and TV.

Room bigger than previous ibis experiences. Clean comfortable. To the minute on time airport shuttle service. Regularly scheduled and no need to commit to specific reservation.

Basic is right. It's like being in a cubicle with barely the minimum.

Crappy. My first stay at an Ibis and based on this experience, the last. I'll drive further for a small, independent hotel. Masses of people at reception at all times, slow check-in process even with a prepaid reservation which I saw did not include breakfast and which was still ten Euros more than advertised rack rate. And speaking of breakfast, a […] rip-off with no change to just buy a normal cup of coffee. (Except from a machine in the lobby, yuck) Parking, another rip-off. I made the mistake of eating spaghetti bolognese in the "Italian" restaurant upstairs and it was terrible and horribly overpriced for what it was. All around very depressing. Flew in from Canada, was a nice hotel. Nothing special but going half way across the world was clean and safe. Can't ask for much more, room was clean. Would stay again for one or two nights.
