Wir fanden den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Die Strände waren max. 30min entfernt. Auch Kona war in 50 min erreichbar. Grosszügige Wohnung mit gutem Service. Ich würde wieder kommen.

I'm quite a seasoned traveller, working around the world in many different locations and it takes quite a bit to impress me as regards hotel accommodation. But this was excellent. The reception desk personnel were warm and friendly, the accommodation itself was first class with a lovely view from both balconies. I stayed at 4 different locations around the Big Island and this was a bit disappointing. I'm sure if it were the first place and not the last, I would have thought it was better, but the others were amazing and this was just ok. It was very clean and had a great looking pool and jacuzzi, but we didn't use them because we wanted to be at the beach. […] Snorkel gear was a bit more expensive than others to rent so we skipped it here. Staff was pleasant, but not overly welcoming as in other places we stayed. Their sister condos in Kona were far nicer and the staff was friendlier. Here at Paniolo, our room overlooked the road and a house with a barking dog. They charged extra for air conditioning. We were going to pass on the AC because it was somewhat cooler and we could get a nice cross breeze with the doors open and by using fans. When it came time to sleep, the road traffic and barking dog prevented us from leaving the doors open so we had to pay up as it was over 90 degrees with the windows and doors shut. No one knew where we could rent snorkel gear in town (or wouldn't say since they had it there). Luckily we only had one night here and we had better luck with other places. If given the choice, I would spend a little extra and stay closer to the coast, but if you're on a budget, this is an ok place to stay if you are exploring the northern side of the island. Mehr

I am not sure why others rated this place so high... the only bargain is the price - the place is somewhat old - probably built in the 80's and many things have not been updated.. carpet was worn & dirty, bathroom was dirty...had to pay extra for air conditioning... they are billing me over $300 extra for no telling what - they were supposed to send […] me a folio to my email but I am still waiting on it... we won't stay there again ! We stayed for two nights in March 2013 as part of a tour around the whole island of Hawaii. The condo was beautifully appointed, with everything you could ever need in the kitchen and even more. The daily extra charge for air-con (which we did not opt for) was not necessary at that time of year, as the celing fans were sufficient. we were there for the HHSAA cross country championships which were held at Hawaii Prep which was 7 miles or so away but still the condo was close enough to everything, including shopping. Location is good. Not so close to beaches, but within an acceptable distance. About 20 mins to the major beaches, 40 mins to the waipoi valley. Hotel charges extras for air conditioning. The kitchen utensils are plenty, even with a rice cooker. Small bags of salt and pepper are provided. Room service is not in time and complete.

From the time I checked in to when I left there are teams of staff taking care of this beautiful place. The price was extremely reasonable for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 story place. I was told that only light cleaning would take place until the end of the week, then it would be fully cleaned, but each day it was completely spotless. Great facilities with plenty of room for our family. Within 5 miles is food, shopping, and the beach. If you're looking for a relaxing location for the family, this is it. the hotel offered a nice pool, and a few crafts for the kids to do, but if you want to see anything, you will be driving anywhere from 1/2 hour on. This timeshare/condo is an oasis in the middle of a lava field. I stayed one night on my tour around the island. I'd say this is a good option if you like to golf and you don't want to stay at a beach resort. I can't comment on the golf course, since I'm not a golfer, but Hapuna Beach is a nice state park and is about 15-20 minutes away. The 2 bedroom/2 […] bath with kitchen plus washer/dryer was way more than I needed, but it was very comfortable. There is a market and a Island Lava Java (which was one of my favorite places to go) within a mile. The bedroom was on the golf course side, which does get very early maintenance noise, but maybe there are other options available. Mehr

This hotel felt like home away from home! On all counts, it far exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for an economy place, and can afford 7-8 miles of drive everyday from the main locations in Kohala or Kona, then this is a perfect choice. TV, music system, free parking, washer, dryer, full kitchen, free internet!

Wonderful staff with clean room and common areas. Looking over the golf course in the back and views of the ocean from the front made the scenery nice. Very windy and far from "downtown" made driving more of a job.

I loved this place! So so relaxing. Couldnt believe that I had an entire unit to myself. It had everything - including a kitchen, so was very convenient. Loved this place. Very professional service, felt very safe. Also, near the cute little waikoloa village. I went to a place called cafe java (i think) for lunch and breakfast. fabulous food.

i really enjoyed my stay, i met alot of wonderful people. My only regret was that i was unable to smoke on the balcony of the complex. I realize smoking in the room as violation of the complex policy but being able to smoke on the balcony would have made it easier for me at nite, as well as the other smokers. But i really enjoyed my stay

We have been before and liked it very much even though it is not near the beach it is only a short drive, and the shopping centre is within walking distance. The rooms are excellent , good TV coverage, and well provided kitchens. Good location for travelling to local points of interest in the North & west of the island.

The room was wonderful, plenty of space and very well kept. I was surprised that parking is free; but, they charge a daily rate for use of the air conditioner. It was a nominal fee, just not expected. The location was perfect for my needs.

Paniolo Greens is a ten minute drive to the coast, ( Beaches...) it is at a higher elevation and a little cooler. A good value. A very comfortable condo, everything you need is included except air conditioning. ($5.00 a day extra) but we never felt as though we needed it. Screens in sliding doors and windows, great breeze. A grocery store is in the […] "village", but we thought it was kind of expensive. The grocery store down at the Mauna Lani not as expensive. (just a couple minutes further on Queen Ka'ahumanu Hwy) We did our shopping at Target when we arrived KOA, just five minutes south of the airport. Only light housekeeping every day --replace towels, empty trash cans. Full cleaning only once during our stay. Washer-dryer a big plus, I have never gone home from vacation with clean clothes!! Mehr

The condo had lots of space and easily could have handled 6 people even though it was just the 2 of us. Sleeping rooms all had TV's and plenty of room. The kitchen had all the basics for utensils, dishes and silverware. There is a grocery store within 5 minutes, so we stocked up quickly and easily. Lots of closet space as well as drawer space. The outside […] lanai was small and built for 2 people, but we weren't there for the view from the condo - even though the sunsets were spectacular. It was very easy to travel to the Big Island's best snorkeling locations - 2 are less than 15 minutes away. Housekeeping was late in the day which was when we were back from our adventures - that was our only hiccup the entire time of our stay. Mehr
