Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.
Lage
Hotel Splendide Royal befindet sich mitten in Rom. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Piazza Trinita dei Monti und Spanische Treppe. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Villa Borghese und Trevi-Brunnen.

Dieses Hotel im luxuriösen Stil verfügt über folgende gastronomische Angebote: Restaurant und Bar/Lounge. Ein W-LAN Internetzugang steht gegen eine Gebühr in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Die Via Veneto wurde 1960 durch den Film "La Dolce Vita" berühmt und erlebt gerade eine glanzvolle Renaissance. Die Bars, Restaurants, schicken Hotels und Boutiquen wetteifern miteinander um die Aufmerksamkeit der Passanten. Dieser Straße ist auch der Begriff Paparazzo zu verdanken - so hieß der Fotojournalist im Film. Nicht weit davon entfernt ist die Spanische Treppe. Dort finden sich oft Liebespärchen ein, es gibt Geschäfte und viele Menschen frönen mit Müßiggang und dem Beobachten von Menschen der italienischen Kunst des "dolce far niente".
Alle Hotels in Rom ansehenEinziger, allerdings gravierender, Minuspunkt war, daß die auf der Homepage des Hotels gezeigte Hotelbar auf der Dachterasse mit dem entspr. Blick nicht existiert!!!!!
"Hoher Preis"
Das Hotel liegt in einer guten Umgebung nahe Via Veneto.Das Stadtzentrum ist in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Die Ausstattung ist prächtig. damit meinte man für den hohen Preis schon genug getan zu haben. Leider haben wir ein Deluxe Zimmer gebucht. bei Buchung eines Standard-Zimmers hätten wir vermutlich den gleichen Raum bekommen.Zuerst versuchte man uns […] ein Zimmer in den Hinterhof zu geben. Dann nach langer Wartezeit (im Ganzen 1,5 Stunden) ein Zimmer mit Blick zum Park, aber im 3.Stock, wo wir gerade noch über die Mauer auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite sehen konnten. Die Fassade liegt nach Norden. Das Zimmer war nicht recht groß, aber genügend. Das WC im Bad, Das Bett leicht durchgelegen.Sehr angenehm: die Leinenbettwäsche. Internet war extra zu bezahlen, auch das, sehr teure Frühstück. Die Rezeption hat meine Frage nach einem zweiten Stuhl negativ beantwortet. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns ein Plan vorgelegt und ungefragt die Position des Hotels und der Spanischen Treppe eingetragen. Bei aller Routine sollte man den Gästen doch nicht das Gefühl geben, daß man sie für Mitglieder der Herde dummer Touristen hält! Wir würden bei einem weiteren Besuch in Rom ein anderes Hotel in der Nähe wählen. Nach unserer umfangreichen Reiseerfahrung kann ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse wesentlich mehr und mehr "gutes Gefühl" bieten. Mehr
"4 von 5 Sternen"
Die Räume des Empfangs sind 5-Sterne. Hier sind auch sehr freundliche Leute (concierge). Meist auch professionell und hilfsbereit. Zimmer und Bad sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet udn techisch auf gutem Stand. Der Teppich könnte wieder einmal ausgetauscht werden. Schränke sind viel zu klein. Der Blick von der Restaurant-Terrasse ist überwältigend schön […] (auch der Service ist hier vom feinsten, nur das Essen war für einen Michelin-Stern nicht ganz so toll). Der Blick von unserem Zimmer allerdings war dagegen recht trist (in den wenig gepflegten Innenhof). Alles in allem vielleicht doch etwas überteuert. Die Lage hätte mir wohl an der Via Veneto noch besser gefallen (dort gibt es gleich mehrere Top-Häuser und auch sehr schöne Restaurants und Bars). Dennoch, das Splendid Royal ist ein schönes Haus und hat - mit etwas Schliff - Potential für die 5 Sterne. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Mehr

"3 star hotel disguised as a 5 star hotel"
The front desk staff was terrible, making incorrect reservations and giving out inaccurate information in terms of when major things were open or closed. They didn't know anything about what was going on in and around Rome and had to rely on the Internet for everything, something guests could do on their own. The Fitness Center is a joke and overall […] the website looks better then the hotel in general. $30 Euro per person breakfast was ridiculous and they kept running out of everything, so you had to ask them to refill the buffet selections. Highly unprofessional service overall. There's better service by far at the St. Regis, the Westin, the Sofitel and the Portrait Suites. Mehr

"Fantastic experience at Hotel Splendide Royal Roma"
My wife and I spent 7 fabulous days in Rome at the Splendide Royal. Great comfort, quiet, close to the Spanish Steps and many of the marvelous sites of Rome. We walked everywhere and took taxi's when needed. Close to Villa Bougese, our mornings started with a delicious full breakfast (great bacon) and a panoramic view of the Roma skyline. The Vatican […] museums and other must do sites were within easy reach. We would return and are recommending it to our friends. 5 stars. Mehr
within walking distance of most of the good sites in Rome. Room was good, service was excellent and friendly. Restaurant was way out of our budget so we were lucky at least breakfast was included.

we had an absolutely fabulous stay at the hotel splendide royale...sumptuous decor, great concierge and service!!!!!!!!! the hotel was very centrally located, making it easy to walk to most of the sights in rome (if you enjoy walking)....the only minor negative was that we had to climb the spanish steps each time we had to get to the hotel....i am sure […] that there was another way to get there, but my son and i were ambitious and climbed the steps each time...all in all i would HIGHLY recommend the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a very disappointing five star hotel even by European standards. The rooms were fine even though the bed was awful. I realize that beds in Europe are not as comfortable as the ones in the US but this was one of the worst beds I have ever slept on. My main complaint with this hotel was that the service was awful. One particular incident occurred […] when I asked for help making getting train schedules and reservations. Rather than having the concierge take care of it, I was directed to go find a travel agency. This was completely unacceptable in my mind for a five star hotel. Great location, convenient and just a bit away from the loud and congested tourist hot spots. No more than a 5 minute walk to the metro stop. Near great restaurants and in a quiet neighborhood. Hotel staff was always very helpful and made any arrangements necessary for our comfort. "Weekend break in Hotel Splendide Royal, Rome"
We stayed in the Splendide Royale for 3 nights in August. Positives: - Large room - Clean room - 5 min walk either into the park or the Via Veneto Negatives: - Essentially on a side street, but not in a charming "tucked away" sense - felt a bit isolated even though being near the Via Veneto! - Very limited hotel facilities - it felt like a reception […] room, your bedroom, and a fancy restaurant - but nothing else; the hotel had no feeling of "life" - Questionable concierge services - they recommended a restaurant that was closed for the entire month (and actually sent us there, claiming they had made a reservation); and when we needed to book a car to go out of the city to a wedding, their price quote was 100% higher than what we ended up finding ourselves In short - despite ornate furniture and art in the reception rooms, and a large and well appointed room, I wouldnt stay here again, and wouldnt recommend it to anyone else. Perhaps an elderly couple who like gilded decor, and who dont want to bump into other human beings, might like it... Mehr

The hotel is lavishly decorated an dwell situated. the rooms are comfortable and quiet. As far as services that you expect at a 5 star hotel it does fall a little short. The people that staff the front desk who should be there to help give off an air of annoyance at times when asked simple questions. The only other complaint that we had is that the […] bed linen is not what would you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It is course and scratchy more like you would expect at a 1 star hotel or a prison. But the upside to that is you can always use it to file your nails on if you forget to pack an emery board. Mehr

"Not Reputable Hotel"
Was extremely dissapointed with the room that we had been given, were promised a room with a wonderful view and price was not the issue I told them I would upgrade and still received and noisy room with a horrible view of a garage and someones car. Overrated hotel and management was a little arrogant. Was only hotel in all of my stay in Italy that left […] us a little bitter. I would not recommend them to anyone. Thank you. Mehr

We stayed at a hotel near the Termini train station the first three nights but I booked the Splendide the last night just to get a taste of a true grand hotel. We were not disappointed! Although our stay was so very brief, we were truly stunned at the elegance of this hotel. We checked into our room and then were off to do more exploring in Rome. Arriving back at the hotel late, we didn't get to enjoy its amenities, but we saw enough to make us pick this hotel for our next visit to Rome. Very friendly and helpful receptionist, a bottle of bubbly was waiting for us when i emailed ahead to say it was my husbands birthday. Excellent room (deluxe), although paying for the view wasnt worth it as it was a view of walls of the park, rather than the park and I doubt this would change anywhere in the hotel. The maid service was lovely and […] regular and the black out curtains and double glazing made it perfect for siestas. didnt eat there as 50 euros for a starter was prohibitive in our opinion! went there for our honeymoon. Staff rude and unfriendly. Not one member of staff congratulated us. The room was tiny not enough room to swing a cat. This hotel is marketed as a 5 star but you can rely on this when i say it is only deserving of a 3 star rating, The real 5 star is around the corner the eden which we discovered albeit too late. Friendly, attentive and informative staff, large well appointed room & bathroom, quiet location yet 5 mins from Spanish Steps. Great air-conditioning which is a must after a long hot day exploring Rome. We will stay here again when we return. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Splendide Royal for 3 days and very much enjoyed it. The hotel is quite nice, with a classic feel and decoration and v clean. It was quite hot in Rome so air conditioning was key - it was a huge relief to come into our cool room after walking around in the heat all day. We had a junior suite and while the room was nice, it sure felt […] a bit cramped, but as a US traveler we are spoiled and this is Rome after all. The only other complaint was the bed, which was a bit hard (was two beds put together). Location was excellent. Service was good, but this is a 5 star hotel and I didnt think service was quite 5 star. This was a v good stay but I'm still looking for that awesome 5 star experience in Rome . . . Mehr

Beautiful hotel in a very central location. We were able to walk safely to shops restaurants and sights. Michelan star restaurant expensive but the view of Rome at night was spectacular. We stayed at "Spendide Royal" at the beginning of our trip and enjoyed our stay so much we booked it again on our return from the Amalfi Coast. My only disappointment […] was not having breakfast but at €35 was too pricey ( but I am sure it would have been amazing) Would definitely return and recommend area. Full of 5 star hotels! Only problem no ironing allowed in room,very hard when living out of suitcase,but all Italian hotels visited were similar. Mehr

This is a great hotel. I know it is a bit more expensive than some others but it is truly worth it. The decor is very 'old world' like a Roman Palace and I traveled with my Mom who is over 60 and she adored it. The location is fantastic, 3 minute walk from Via Veneto, 10 mins to Trevi Fountain etc. Rooms huge, bathrooms same and so well kept. ホテルの比較をするサイトでランキングは上位でしたが、期待通りではありませんでした。ローマのほかのホテルを知らないので、高望みしすぎたのかもしれませんが、綺麗、とか、ゴージャスを期待している人には向きません。スタッフは愛想はいいですが、英語が一方的に早口で話すので、得意ではない私たちにはやや不便を感じました。地図上では観光スポットに近く利便性は良さそうでしたが、坂を登らないといけないこと、や周囲が暗く夜の帰宅はやや怖かったです。レストランでディナーもしましたが、日本人の口には合わないのか、ほとんど残してしまいました。ほとんど寝るだけだったのでよかったですが、ホテル内での楽しみはあまりありませんでした。

Hotel trés bien situé, au calme, à proximité d'un parc, merveilleuse vue de la terrasse du restaurant Chambre ( deluxe) agréable et spacieuse. Accueil et service sont de qualité l'ensemble des musées et monuments sont facilement accessibles , la plupart du temps à pieds , arrêt de bus en face de l'hôtel, ou station de métro à 10 mns à pieds.

В номере помимо […] душевой кабины, была еще и ванна, что оказалось приятным дополнением. На ресепшен нам помогли забронировать билеты в Ватикан и были готовы помочь и в других вопросах. klassisk flott hotel med kort veg til Spansketrapen og Borgeseparken utenfor inngangsdøren. Romas beste restaurant, Mirabelle i 7 etg med fantastisk utsikt over byen og med en atmosfæreog service du skal lete lenge etter!

Otroligt fint hotell med perfekt läge. Ingen pool men detta finns på systerhotellet 10min ifrån. Frukosten var den bästa vi ätit och personalen jättetrevliga! Bo här!
"Overpriset hotel med dårlig service og små rom"
Vi betalte for dobbeltrom i dyre dommer for dette hotellet som en del av bryllupsreisen vår basert på anmeldelser fra flere nettsteder og pga stjerneklassifiseringen. Personellet på hotellet var forøvrig nedlatende, svært lite serviceinnstilte og lite behjelpelige - og vi holdt på å snuble over sengen da vi gikk inn på rommet fordi det var så trangt. […] Vi fikk følelsen av at fordi vi bodde på et "vanlig" rom var vi ikke verdt ekstra service. Da vi spurte om veiledning til å bestille billetter til Vatikan-museet, fikk vi beskjed om å bruke google. Det er ikke gratis wifi på hotellet, så vi måtte betale 17 Euro for en time på nett, men kode til nettverket får du tilsendt på mail - som vil si at vi måtte dataroam'e for å få tak i denne. (I motsetning til de andre hotellene vi bodde på i Italia, hvor resepsjonen/conciergen bestilte alt for oss og vi kunne betale alt via hotellet sammen med totalregningen.) Det du betaler for på Splendide Royal er marmorgulv i lobbyen, mye gulldetaljer på veggene, en Michelin-restaurant i toppetasjen og overdådige gardiner. Vi anbefaler heller å bruke pengene på et hotel med ferre stjerner og booke et superior rom - prisen vil bli omtrent det samme som for et standard (bittelite) rom på Splendide Royal. Mehr
