Das Hotel ist unmittelbar am Strand. Es wird nur durch die Strasse vom Meer getrennt. Allgemein waren wir zu frieden. Einzig das Frühstück ist mager. Das Frühstück findet in der Lobby statt und bietet nur wenige Sitzgelegenheiten. Ein paar Toast, etwas süsses Gebäck, Saft und Kaffee, das war's. Dennoch könne wir das Hotel empfehlen, für Clearwater bietet […] das Hotel Magnuson ein gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Übrigens gibt es umliegend genügend Möglichkeiten sich zu Verpflegen. Mehr

room was clean + location was great. unfortunately the toilet would not flush + was not repaired till the next morning,because maitinance had already went home. also sliding door to balcony constantly came of track,making it extremely aggravating + hard to operate. Toilet was fixed satisfactory,but slider still came off track even after repairs.Staff […] was pleasant but some repairs need to be done @ this property! Mehr

Overall a great affordable place to stay. The parking rates for additional cars are a little much, but no complaints other than that.

NICE LOCATION, FOR THE AGE OF THE HOTEL THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND SERVICE WAS COURTEOUS. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. ONLY ISSUE IS THAT SATURDAY NIGHT WAS NOISY, WEEKDAY NIGHTS WERE QUIET, SINCE THE ROOM WAS ON THE STREET SIDE. BUT EVEN THE SPARKLING NEW FANCY HOTELS HAVE ROOMS ON THE STREET SIDE. MAYBE THEY HAVE SOUNDPROOF WINDOWS.

Probably not the nicest hotel you will ever stay in, but for being right across the street from the beach - it serves its purpose fine. If you are a clean freak or need the top end quality - this is probably not your place. It is close to the beach and safe....that is it real value. If you are looking for 400 count thread sheets keep on looking.

Old-school Florida hotel. Dated..... but comfortable and clean. Room was bigger than I expected. Excellent location on Beach and near dining/shopping.

This hotel suited our needs and because we did not book direct we got a last minute good price. Reception staff vere very helpful and friendly, window frames a bit rickerty and house keeping seemed to have forgotten to clean the panes. The Magnuson is located at the south end of the Beach Walk. It is a 2 minute walk from McDonalds for a quick meal and Crabby's for a great local flavor meal. The room was worn out and the beds were uncomfortable. The pool is excellent!

The hotel needs overall refurbshing especially the beds. It's nearly impossible to sleep because every time you turn, the materesses makes so loud squeecking sound that wakes you up. We've complained about that a couple of times, but for no use. The breakfast is a joke. The hotel guests should eat their otherwise very simple breakfast in the very limited […] reception area. Mehr

-arrived 2 hrs early - not allowed into our room until one hr AFTER check-in - waiting for room to be clean - many vacant rooms cleaned before our room - did not ask cleaning staff to jump a room ortwo to help us out poor customer service Bathroom doorwas broken - would not shut, toilet ran our entire stay

This is a perfect location right on the beach. The room was big, nice patio, microwave and pool. Great for kids

The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The location was good once the hotel was found. Traffic was tough. Hotel was a bit overpriced and in need of some updates. All in all the hotel was a positive experience.

An older hotel. We had a couple of issues but I guess for the age of the place, things are okay.

For the price and convenience this place was worth it. The staff was nice, even though we did not use room service. great location. I would rebook again.

The hotel has a perfect location, but for the rate charged, rooms should be more updated (specially carpets and baths) and should offer better options for breakfast. Other than that, it could not have a better location and the service is very decent. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend.

The room #220 had a terrible fly problem! Killed at least 20 flies all over the bath mirror,walls and our towels. Windows and doors closed woke up to many more flies must be breeding inside the room. Told front desk did not seem very concerned said they would look into it. This problem did not just start while we were there! Also the double beds were […] as hard as a rock and we paid for upgraded room with a view. It is a Non- smoking hotel where people are smoking all over. On our lanai we got the smoke from the other smoking quests. We had to sign a non-smoking agreement at check in so did the other quests. Only positive is the location to the beach. Mehr

I was not happy with Internet service nor the front desk help... Bedbugs in rooms....

hotel rooms in disrepair. location great - on the beach - they have cheap mattresses - very uncomfortable for sleeping - needs new rugs - they smell

I really enjoy the escaping the hussle and bussle of life to relax on the beach and I always come to this hotel. I like the location and and the price that comes with the relaxation. This is the first time I have posted anything about the Magnuson Hotel and I'm sure it will be the first of many great reviews they will get!! Thank you all!!

Very clean and spacious rooms, Great rates, across from beautiful beach, very nice pool, convenience, walking distance to restauants, and night life, no car required once you get to hotel. What a dump. Dont bother with this place. The rooms have'nt been updated in 20 years. We checked in and didn't even stay there. It is terrible. Loction is great but propery is rundown, dirty, and smelly.

place is located in the center of town rooms are clean. T.V. sitiuation needs to be upgraded but then again it's about the Beach ! second time using this property and will return.

good hotel and service, just disappointed about no heated pool...we came down on a cool front and never got to swim because water too cold...excellent staff service!

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. It was a great location, and the rooms were large. I liked the little kitchen but if they had dish soap available I would have done the dishes before we left. The only thing I was not happy with, was the bed, they were hard and noisy.

Your continental breakfast was the most pitiful breakfast I have ever experienced. "Little Debbie" rolls were not appreciated unless you were starving! Why not have various cold cereals and hot waffles?

We booked the hotel for three nights on a tight budget, and reading the reviews we were preparing ourselves for the worst. But- the place, though a little dated, was clean, the rooms were huge and we had a great time staying there. This is one of the cheapest places to stay, so although the breakfast consists of sugary buns and coffee in the reception […] area, the money you're saving on the room you can go spend eating a huge breakfast at one of the many, many cafes and restaurants. Location wise is great- over the road from the beach and no more than five minutes walk from the pier, marina, cafes, restaurants, bars etc etc. When we got there water pipes next to the room were making loud noises, but after a quick word to reception we were moved immediately and there were no problems at all with the other room. The maids were polite and friendly, and the pool was also great for sitting around and having a dip in. If you're planning on spending the majority of your time out of the hotel room, then you can't go wrong here. We spent most of our break walking around, at the beach and trying as many different places to eat and drink we could find. If we'd spent more on the room then we wouldn't have had the extra money to enjoy Clearwater, so it was great for us. Mehr

The hotel is in a good location and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was dirty and smelly. It was discusting. We would not have stayed there if we did not have to. Do not stay at this place!!!

Great location! Nice pool, friendly staff! A bit loud at night but otherwise a wonderful stay!

There is not much that they could do to make the Magnoson not look like a 40 year old Hotel, but I am sure they tried. For its age, the Hotel was clean and fresh as possible. Our room had been updated and the carpets looked new. The pool area was clean and comfortable. The location from the beach was right there. Our only issue with our stay was not […] the fault of the hotel, but more the fault of the young (20 something y.o.) guests that attended a wedding and then had multiple people "crash" in their economy hotel room. They were rude, loud and inconsiderate of the other guests. Entitled, you might say. The management confronted the unruly guests during the early morning hours and the noise finally stopped at 4am. Other than the bad guests, the Hotel was fine. I think that the Hotel is worth a second try. Mehr
