I enjoyed it very much. If I ever go to Columbia again I will stay in the exact same spot.

The location is in the middle of 'The Vista' neighborhood, which has plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel is very clean with plenty of parking. It's essentially in the heart of downtown and also adjacent to the University of South Carolina. Full hot breakfast as well.

I was there just one night for New Years Eve, perfect location for where I wanted to be. Lots of parking for a downtown spot. The staff was absolutely great from checking in, to checking out. Very comfy bed as well. Didn't take advantage of the ammenities or breakfast, but what I did experience...I'll stay again!

Arrived and couldn't find the remote control to the tv. Called the front desk and they said maybe the cleaning staff took it out to replace the batteries and immediately brought me one. Unfortunately it didn't work. Frustrated, I had to stand at the tv to change the channels. Otherwise, wonderful room and friendly service. The breakfast at this hotel is wonderful. Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal you name it and it is included. Free cocktails 6-7pm a nice touch. Excellent location and good people. Pillows a bit small, but none-the-less great place to be.

Excellent place to stay in downtown Columbia. Great breakfast and room is very comfortable. Mine had a leaking toilet which was fixed once I brought it to the attention of the desk -- i would have given all 5s had they discovered the leak before I was in the room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good choices for breakfast and plenty of space to sit. Room was a little more than we would have liked to have spent but it was convenient, just wish it had a fridge in the room esp for the price. The room was clean and a/c was already on and had the room nice and cool .

My friends and I had a most enjoyable stay at the Hampton Inn Columbia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel Representative, LaToya was very accommodating and made our stay a most memorable one.

I've always been a fan of Hampton Inns and this one met my expectations. Staff was very friendly throughout my stay and the room was very comfortable. The gym could use more equipment as I had to wait 10 minutes to use a machine but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Chair in roon had a broken leg and when I sat doown in the chair it broke and I awkwardly fell to the ground. If it had of been my Mom, it would have been a problem, sense it was me it was okay, but they need to get it fixed! Room 228 Thanks

Hotel staff was extremely friendly; bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern, breakfast was good and the location was incredible. My boyfriend and I stayed there for New Year's Eve. The only problem we had was that our hotel room reaked of smoke (this is a non-smoking facility). Being a non-smoker this was extremely offensive. The smell overcame us […] as we stepped in the room and even our bath towells had it in them. Staff was nice and told us they would fumigate the room when we were out for that evening, but the smell was there when we came back. They did not suggest another hotel room and being New Year's Eve I would imagine the accommodation was nearly impossible anyways. PLEASE SMOKERS be considerate of us NON-SMOKERS and keep your disgusting habit out of shared spaces. That smell is near impossible to get rid of. Mehr
